Author's Notes
Yo people! What's up? It has been a while hasn't it? Well it has, the reason? Because I was busy with life! Anyways, sorry if you thought that I was dead and all, but I'm not. Trust me. I had this new idea for a story. You can that it is my first ever crossover story that is going to be difficult to write! This one takes place in sanctuary that has taken shape of the elemental nations after many, many years. You can see where this is going can't you? That's right! I'm going to see if I can make this work. The first change, is that Minato is a demon from the burning hells that had enough of the eternal conflict and fled, while Kushina is an angel that had also fled from the high heavens in order to escape that conflict. The next change, is that Bijuu are of course still cannon as always, but they are also some sort of legendary demons with their powers somewhere in between the lesser and primal evils? I'm not too sure yet about the power system and scaling here, but I'll see what I can do. The final change, yes, as you can tell by the title, Naruto is The Nephalem.
Anyways, I hope you will enjoy this story and let's try to make this thing work out!
P.S. Naruto is going to have a harem in this one, starting off with the canon pairing, there will be a poll as to who you want him to have in his harem. One more thing, Naruto isn't going to be godlike at the beginning, he will get stronger through natural means. Also, I won't be starting off with a flashback with this story, I just want to get straight to the point. Ofc, starting off with the canon stuff and then moving on to the more Diablo and Original stuff.

ACT I – Wave Of The Fallen Star
Chapter I – Graduation Troubles
Blonde hair as bright as the sun itself, oceanic blue eyes twinkling with mischief, a bright orange jumpsuit and a big grin on his face as he caries a bucket of paint and a brush in his hands. This troublemaker's name is Naruto Uzumaki, who is at the moment being chased by the ninja of his village. What has he done this time? If you look closely at the infamous Hokage mountain, where images of the most powerful and famous shinobi of all time have been inscribed on the stone, the faces themselves have had a makeover with rainbow colours.
"Get back here you damn brat!" shouted an agitated ninja.
"Catch me if you can losers!" Naruto screamed at the top of his voice with a slight giggle at the end, as he continued to jump from building to building in an attempt to get away from the ninja.
"Just wait till I get my hands on you!" Another shinobi proclaimed as he and the rest of the three-ninja continued to chase the troublemaking blonde.
Hokage Office
"Hokage-sama!" A shinobi busted through the doors of the Hokage office and stopped to catch his breath.
"What's wrong? Is it Naruto again?" An old man said sitting in his chair with a pipe in his mouth wearing the traditional red hokage hat on his head. He had a grey beard, chocolate brown eyes and was wearing a traditional Japanese robe.
"Yes, he vandalised the entire Hokage monument with paint!" The ninja quickly pointed out of the window that overlooked the entire village, to see that indeed the faces were vandalised. The old man sighed as he looked out of the window quickly, before going back to doing his dreaded paperwork.
Back with Naruto
The blonde laughed his head off as he continued to have his fun. His first goal was to lose the shinobi chasing him down, to which he was successful in. The next objective that he has concluded in his mind, was to evade and hide until all was settled down and forgotten about. When Naruto thought that everything was clear, he decided to move through the quieter parts of the streets that only he knew like the back of his hand: the alleys. However, as he was about to make his big escape, he bumped into someone with an incredibly angry expression.
"Hey! What's the big idea?!" The blonde shouted, which rewarded him with a light bonk on his head. He looked up and his face paled at the sight. It was Iruka Umino, Naruto's teacher at the academy. Wearing his chunin vest and leaf headband proudly.
"Naruto…" Iruka said and glared dangerously at the blonde.
"He, He…" Naruto slowly backed away as he sheepishly rubbed the back of his head.
'Crap! That's Iruka-Sensei!' Naruto thought, entering panic mode.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING OUT OF CLASS?!" Iruka shouted, using his infamous big head jutsu.
"Well…" Naruto tried to explain as he trailed off with no valid excuse coming into his mind.
"Better luck next time kid" A mysterious deep voice resonated in his head, followed by a slight chuckle which got Naruto to mentally pout.
Academy Classroom
Naruto was dragged back into the classroom by Iruka, although the blonde troublemaker refused to stand back up and had his arms folded while grumbling something about strict teachers to which everyone missed.
"Tomorrow is the graduation exam and this isn't the time to be fooling around and causing trouble Idiot!" Iruka scolded while Naruto stuck his tongue out at him, which made Iruka sigh in exasperation before he recovered and straightened up again.
"Alright! Time to test you all on the 'Henge No Jutsu'!" Iruka shouted.
"Everybody line up!" Iruka ordered which got a chorus of "no way/what!" from the other students.
"Transform into a PERFECT copy of me!" Iruka added and everyone obeyed his orders and lined up.
The first student managed to transform perfectly into Iruka, who the real deal gave an approving nod to.
"Next, Uzumaki Naruto!" Iruka said and said blonde groaned mentally.
"Hey, you know, this is all your fault" a kid said.
"Like I give a damn" Naruto responded and started walking up to the front.
"You know what you should do?" The mysterious voice suddenly asked in his mind.
'What nii-chan?' Naruto said within his mind while the mysterious voice cackled.
"You should totally prank that man with that jutsu of yours" The voice said with a slight chuckle while Naruto mentally grinned at the idea.
'Now that sounds like a plan nii-chan' Naruto replied while trying his best not to laugh.
"HENGE!" Naruto shouted and chakra started chaotically swirling around him like a whirlpool.
White smoke covered his entire being, and what came out of it was a sexy girl with blonde hair done up in a pony tail, blue eyes, and whisker marks on her cheeks. Her private areas were barely covered by wisps of smoke which states the obvious, that she was completely naked. Iruka, being the unfortunate victim of this technique, gained an intense nosebleed that sent him flying into the wall. Naruto transformed back and started laughing his head off and his so-called brother joined him.
"I call this one the 'sexy no jutsu'!" Naruto named his new technique between laughs and Iruka was ashamed of himself for falling for such a trick before he got up and shouted at Naruto again.
"DON'T INVENT STUPID SKILLS YOU MORON!" Iruka scolded with his infamous big head jutsu.
Later, The Hokage Stone Faces
Naruto was bored, not just bored, EXTREMELY bored. He was just sitting there, scrubbing away at the famous landmark of the village, until it is spotless. The blonde groaned, and then sighed. It was all unfair. Why does he specifically have to do it? Why doesn't he get some help? Naruto sighed again as he continued to scrub away at the faces. This was NOT how it was supposed to end.
"Naruto, I won't let you go until you have cleaned all of this off" Iruka said.
Naruto scowled slightly at that statement, but Iruka barely caught it.
"Whatever" Naruto grumbled, but enough for Iruka to hear him.
"It's not like I have anyone waiting for me back home anyways" Naruto finished and continued to clean the Hokage stone faces in silence.
'Oh Naruto…' Iruka thought, his serious expression turning sad.
However, the silence became too deafening before Iruka decided to lift Naruto's spirits.
"You know Naruto…" Iruka started, and that slightly peaked Naruto's interest as he continued to scrub away.
"If you manage to clean all of the Hokage faces, I will treat you to ramen" Iruka promised with a slight blush on his face from embarrassment to treating him to ramen.
Naruto's face brightened up instantly, as he started to scrub the faces faster in order to get to the ramen as fast as possible.
"Really Iruka-sensei?!" Naruto screamed with a beaming smile on his face and Iruka's response was just a simple nod.
Evening, Ichiraku's Ramen
Naruto and Iruka were now at the blonde's favourite ramen stand, Ichiraku Ramen. Iruka's eyebrow continued to twitch as he watched, rethinking his life choices. Naruto was now on his 3rd bowl; he's eating like his life depends on it. In his mind, the voice in his head was laughing it's head off at Iruka's misfortune. Thank the High Heavens for this beautiful moment for making Iruka broke. Right?
"Fourth bowl please!" Naruto shouted and the ramen chef nodded as he went back to work.
"Naruto" Iruka said getting Naruto's full attention.
"What is it Iruka-sensei?" Naruto asked.
"Why would you do that to the monument? Don't you know who the Hokage are?" Iruka wondered before Naruto gave him a genuine smile that he rarely shows.
"Of course I do Iruka-sensei! They are like, the strongest people in the village right?" Naruto answered and Iruka nodded in full agreement.
"Among them is the fourth Hokage…" Naruto started daydreaming.
"The hero who saved this village from a demon fox!" Naruto continued to explain and the voice in his head grumbled something about that stupid title.
'Got to keep a low profile nii-chan' Naruto said in his thoughts and he felt that the voice has nodded and agreed with him.
"Then why?" Iruka asked incredulously.
"Because one day I am going to become the Hokage myself and surpass all the previous Hokage!" Naruto proclaimed his dream with conviction and enthusiasm.
"And maybe then the people will come to acknowledge my strength" Naruto finished while Iruka nodded with a smile on his face.
"I see" Iruka said.
"Uhm… Oh yeah, can I give a little request?" Naruto asked.
"What? You want another bowl of ramen?" Iruka guessed with wide eyes while Naruto shook his head left and right and putting his arms in an X shape.
"Can I borrow your headband Iruka-sensei?" Naruto asked with a smile with his hands in a prayer.
"Oh this?" Iruka said more like a statement then a question while he pointed to his headband.
"This is for after you graduate" Iruka started.
"This symbol means that you've come of age. Maybe you'll get one tomorrow" Iruka finished.
"Oh come on!" Naruto shouted while Iruka laughed when he realised that is why Naruto took off his goggles.
"Fifth bowl!" Naruto ordered.
"What?!" Iruka shouted in disbelief.
The Next Day, Graduation Day
"For you to graduate, you will have to do the 'Bunshin No Jutsu'" Iruka explained and Naruto in the back paled.
'Oh Crap! This is my worst technique! You've got to be kidding me!' Naruto panicked in his mind while on the outside he began to sweat slightly.
"It's alright Naruto, just relax and remember what I've taught you that night" The voice in his head said and the blonde visibly relaxed.
'Alright, thanks for the save as usual nii-chan, but how will I explain it to Iruka?' Naruto questioned with slight worry and he could feel that the voice is grinning inside his head.
"Don't worry kit, I've got it all under control" The voice calmly said and the blonde nodded mentally.
'Right! Thanks nii-chan!' Naruto said and the voice nodded with a gentle smile.
"Uzumaki Naruto!" Iruka called and the hyperactive blonde nodded as he stood up and followed Iruka into the next room.
Academy, Examination Room
"Alright Naruto, please perform the 'Bunshin No Jutsu'" Iruka said and Naruto nodded.
Naruto took a deep breath, then exhaled to calm himself down. 'Alright, here goes nothing' Naruto thought to himself before doing a single handsign. "Kage Bunshin No Jutsu!" Naruto shouted and the entire room was almost filled with shadow clones.
Mizuki and Iruka widened their eyes, especially Mizuki, Iruka's teaching assistant and long-time friend. He knew that the Jutsu was in the forbidden scroll of seals. The plan in its simplicity was brilliant: He was going to use Naruto to steal the scroll of seals and then take it from him. But it seems now that the plan is in smoke. Maybe he could still find a way…
"Naruto, where did you learn this technique?" Iruka asked incredulously while slowly passing the headband to the unpredictable blonde.
"Well, you see, I was going to one of the training grounds to practice my techniques, however I saw two high level ninja sparring with each other and saw one of them use the technique. So… yeah" Naruto told them the fake story, to which they took the bait. He didn't like to lie, but it was for the greater good.
"Sometimes you have to lie in order to get yourself out of a sticky situation, that's the life of a ninja" the voice in his head lectured him, to which Naruto nodded his head unconsciously.
"I see, well Naruto, congratulations on passing! Here is your headband!" Iruka said with a smile to which Naruto visibly relaxed and smiled as well, taking the headband into his hands. The blonde cannot believe it! Thanks to his nii-chan, he managed to pass! He'll have to thank the voice in his head somehow later. For now, he is going to enjoy his big victory with a foxy grin.
'Take that Mizuki, you bastard! I know what you're planning and I'm not going to let you! I made a promise to him to protect Naruto, and I'll do everything I can to make his dreams come true!' The voice declared in its thoughts.
"Well, I guess I'll get going Mizuki, I promised to treat Naruto to ramen later" Iruka said as he waved a goodbye to the blue haired chunin and left, before he decided to leave also with a scowl on his face.
'I'll get you, you demon brat! I'll find a way to get rid of you once and for all!' Mizuki declared in his thoughts while an evil smirk crossed his face.
Sundown, Naruto's Apartment
Naruto laid on his bed of his apartment, a blissful sigh escaping his lips as he stared at his reflection through the headband that Iruka gave him. He did it, finally became a ninja! His first steps towards becoming the Hokage. All he needs to do now is work his way up slowly to the top. He smiled to himself, and if it wasn't for his nii-chan, then he wouldn't have passed.
"Naruto" The voice in his head called.
'What is it nii-chan?' Naruto asked the voice, curious as to what it wants from him.
"I need you to come into your own mind" It said while Naruto looked completely confused as he placed his headband on his bedside table and sat up on his bed.
'How do I do that? Why?' Naruto was curious now.
"Just take a meditative position and let your chakra flow like water, your chakra should be blue, while mine should be red" The voice explained and Naruto nodded his head as he did just that.
"The reason why I tell you to do this is that I would like to meet you face to face little brother, and we have a lot to discuss" the voice said seriously and Naruto widened his eyes, before he smiled.
'Alright' Naruto said and closed his eyes in the meditative position that he was in. He felt around for the red and felt something pull him into his mind.
Naruto's Mindscape
Naruto awoke with a start, alert and on guard. He took a look at his surroundings to see that he was in some kind of sewer system. The walls and large hallways were all the same, the water was still and there were pipes on the sealing that sometimes glow blue, red, dark red and white. The blonde was still cautious, until he heard a familiar grumble in the distance which caused him to loosen his guard slightly and smile.
"Nii-san?" Naruto asked cautiously.
"Follow the sound of my voice Naruto" The mysterious voice echoed to him and the blonde started to find his way around the winding hallways of his mindscape like he knew it at the back of his hand.
When he finally reached the source of the voice, he looked around to see that he was in the middle of a massive empty room. It wasn't really as empty though as he looked in front of him to see massive bars of a cage with a paper in the middle that has the kanji for 'seal' on it. The blonde continued to stare at the cage in interest, until he saw two massive, blood red slitted eyes appear from the darkness and stared at him. For some odd reason, Naruto didn't feel afraid. He felt… happy to see those eyes. Maybe he seen them before?
"Hello little brother" the voice spoke, which came directly from the cage itself. Suddenly, the darkness lifted and what Naruto saw, made him widen his eyes in realisation and happiness. So this is what his nii-chan looked like? A ginormous, orange fox that sported a massive foxy grin on its face. The fox's long tails swung behind it calmly as the fox awaited its little brother's reaction.
"NII-CHAN!" Naruto shouted happily as the only thing the fox saw next is an orange blur before the blonde appeared to be hugging his big brother with a happy smile and happy tears coming out of his eyes.
"Hey kid, you alright?" The fox asked before Naruto calmed down and let him go, while wiping the tears from his eyes.
"Yeah, I just know now that I have someone to come back to, that's all" Naruto said through sniffles, before he took a deep breath to calm himself down fully. The fox accepted the answer with a kind smile of his own, before the blonde gave him a beaming smile.
"What is your name nii-chan?" Naruto asked before the fox grinned and pointed to himself.
"I am the strongest Bijuu out of the nine, can crush mountains with a single swipe of my tails, cause tsunamis and gained the title of Kyuubi No Kitsune in the mortal realm… Kurama!" He introduced himself while Naruto sweat-dropped.
"What?" The Bijuu now known as Kurama asked.
"Did you really have to over-exaggerate your introduction Kurama-nii?" Naruto asked while Kurama pouted.
"Is being stuck in this cage for twelve years straight over-exaggerating for you?" Kurama asked with a deadpan look on his face.
"Of course not Kurama-nii!" Naruto shouted while the fox laughed.
When the fox calmed down, his expression all of a sudden turned serious, getting Naruto's full attention.
"Listen up kit, this is very important" Kurama started and the blonde started to fully pay attention.
"What is it Kurama-nii?" Naruto asked innocently which got a gentle smile from the fox.
"What I'm about to tell you is an SSS-rank secret, one that will be only kept between me and you, got it?" Kurama said and Naruto nodded with a "Hai".
"Alright, your parents were very special Naruto, one of them was a demon from the Burning Hells, while the other was an angel from the High Heavens" Kurama started while Naruto widened his eyes at this new information.
"Your father, Minato Namikaze, also known as the the fourth Hokage was that demon, a very powerful demon, a true genius to the point that the great evils wanted him in their armies, but that's a story for another time. Anyways, your mother, Kushina Uzumaki, was an angel sent from the High Heavens to keep an eye on humanity. Later in the years, the two fell in love with each other, both having the same ideals as they were tired of the Eternal Conflict which of course ended up with you being born" Kurama continued while Naruto was processing all of this new information.
"You are a special case kit, since the human race has not seen one be produced for many millennia" Kurama finished and Naruto was shocked.
"So, what am I?" Naruto asked hesitantly.
"Am I…" Naruto started but Kurama cut him off before the blonde could finish that sentence.
"You are not a monster like everyone says you are Naruto, you are The Nephalem! You might bear a close semblance with humans, but your angelic and demonic blood states otherwise" Kurama said with a grin while Naruto gave a relieved smile.
"So, what do you mean that I am The Nephalem?" Naruto asked with curiosity and Kurama answered the question.
"You are of your mother and father Naruto, alike and yet opposite, one decay and the other light. Indeed, the union of angel and demon created a third essence. And you are that child. You are the nephalem. You exist as half angel and half demon, yet fully a new entity. And because of your lineage, they loved your kind. And because of your difference, they feared your kind. Within the trembling balance between love and fear is the relation of you to your father and mother" Kurama recited from an ancient text his own father read to him and his siblings once.
"So, does that mean because of the nephalem's potential, they were feared and loved?" Naruto questioned and Kurama nodded.
"Listen, even I am kind of afraid of your potential, but I'm not, because I know you're not that kind of person little brother" Kurama said with a smile and Naruto returned it with his own.
"Does that mean I can go toe-to-toe with a Bijuu like you nii-chan?!" Naruto asked excitedly while Kurama laughed.
"Not in a million years kit! But you do have the potential Naruto!" Kurama said with a grin while Naruto smiled.
"You know your other sensei Mizuki right?" Kurama asked as he calmed down.
"Yeah? What about Mizuki-sensei?" Naruto asked his big brother and Kurama got serious again.
"He's trying to manipulate you into doing something you'll regret" Kurama warned while Naruto widened his eyes.
"Mizuki-sensei would never do such a thing nii-chan!" Naruto protested and Kurama can see the betrayed look in his little brother's eyes.
"And that's what I mean little brother, he has at first gained your trust, then without you or Iruka suspecting anything, he started sabotaging your learning in the academy and now he thinks you are vulnerable enough to at least make you do anything he wants. He is a traitor of the Hidden Leaf kit. Do not trust him in whatever he says" Kurama explained while Naruto nodded his head with a sad smile on his face.
"All this time I was being tricked by Mizuki-sensei…" Naruto started but trailed off until he heard a knock on the door.
"Speak of the… go get him kit! That's Mizuki! Use your demon blood and out-fox him kit! This is your first test!" Kurama encouraged Naruto and he nodded with a grin on his face.
"I'm gonna make that Mizuki-teme pay for what he did to me! I've got the perfect plan in motion!" Naruto rubbed his hands with a gleeful look on his face before he vanished from his mindscape.
'You can do it kit, make me and your parents proud' Kurama thought before he went back to sleep.
Back in the real world, Naruto's Apartment
Naruto woke up, fully alert and ran to the door as he heard another knock.
"Coming!" Naruto shouted as he ran to the door and opened it to see the one and only Mizuki.
"Hey Naruto" Mizuki greeted him but the blonde could tell that it was fake and can also see the disgust in the blue haired chunin's eyes.
"What are you doing here Mizuki-sensei?" Naruto asked 'innocently' pretending to be clueless as to what his plans are.
"Well you see, me and Iruka have decided that you need another test to see if you are truly genin material" Mizuki started to explain while Naruto pretended to be shocked at the news.
"No way Mizuki-sensei! I thought I already passed the graduation exam?!" Naruto shouted with a bit of anger.
"Well, you see, since you used a forbidden technique to replace the normal clone jutsu, we decided to put you to the test in a mission scenario" Mizuki finished with an evil grin that Naruto easily noticed.
"Awesome!" Naruto shouted while Mizuki was jumping for joy mentally.
"Mission and Forbidden Jutsu my ass" Kurama added in his two scents to which Naruto mentally snickered.
"So, what do I have to do in order to pass this test?!" Naruto shouted, eager to get this thing started.
"Well, what you will have to do is steal a scroll from the Hokage mansion, now keep in mind that this scroll is very special" Mizuki said.
"What kind of scroll is it?" Naruto asked, his curiosity now peaked.
"It is called The Forbidden Scroll of Seals" Mizuki explained.
"And don't worry, the ANBU have been notified to go easy on you. You'll have to get the scroll delivered to this place here that I've marked on the small map by midnight, learn a jutsu from the scroll and when the mission is completed, it will be added to your missions record as a B-Rank mission" Mizuki finished while Naruto's eyes gleamed with excitement. This plan is fool proof! Of course the 'demon brat' would fall for it! Now all he has to do is take the scroll from the brat and take care of him. Mizuki mentally grinned victoriously, however, one thing he didn't know was that he was playing into Naruto's hand all along.
"So, when does the mission start Mizuki-sensei?!" Naruto asked excitedly, although in his mind he was doing a victorious dance, while his big brother was laughing his head off.
"You have at least four hours to prepare, so that means the mission will start at ten. So be ready by then" Mizuki said as he waved a goodbye to Naruto with a 'kind' smile and left in a flash.
Naruto gave a sigh of relief as that was over, now onto the next part of his plan; and that is to notify his jiji.
"That was incredible acting Naruto, demons know how to act well and you're making them proud, especially me" Kurama said with grin while Naruto felt pride for the first time ever being praised by the almighty Kyuubi.
'Lying is also part of being a demon right? I guess I should work on that also' Naruto replied in his thoughts and he felt Kurama nod in agreement.
'Right, time to go and inform jiji of this traitor' Naruto thought before he exited out of his door and slammed it shut, before making his way over to the hokage tower.
Hokage Office
The old man, known as Hiruzen Sarutobi, was right now sitting at his desk doing a Kage's worst nightmare: paperwork. The piles of paper on one side of the desk was stacked to the brim of tipping over. It seemed to be increasing each time Hiruzen signed or declined each piece of paper.
'I wish could burn you with a fire style jutsu, but I'm forbidden to do so, lucky paperwork' Hiruzen thought in spite. He wished for a distraction from all of this, and like his prayers were answered, he heard a light knock on his door.
'Thank Kami' He thought before answering.
"Come in" Hiruzen said before he widened his eyes at what he saw. It was Naruto of all people, not busting through the door like he usually does, that means it must be serious.
"What is it Naruto my boy? Did you come to tell me that you graduated?" Hiruzen asked with a kind smile and the hyperactive, unpredictable blonde responded.
"Well, not just that Jiji, also, I wanted to warn you that there is a mole digging around the foundations" Naruto warned him with a serious expression.
'That's not good, the mole is the spy and digging around the foundations…' Hiruzen widened his eyes in realisation.
"Well Naruto, mind telling me who exactly is this mole?" Hiruzen asked and the blonde nodded instantly. Just as Hiruzen feared.
"It's Mizuki-teme Jiji, he tried to manipulate me into stealing the scroll of seals" Naruto informed while Hiruzen narrowed his eyes.
"Tell me everything Naruto" Hiruzen ordered and the blonde did just that. He told the old Hokage of everything that happened during graduation to now, of course leaving out the parts of the conversations done between him and his brother Kurama.
"I see, well, if that's so, then I think I have a plan" Hiruzen said while Naruto grinned like mad.
"Okay Jiji, whatever it is, I'm in" Naruto said and Hiruzen nodded with a grin of his own.
Konoha Forest, Night Time
Naruto rushed through the trees at breakneck speed with a scroll on his back, however, unlike any scroll, this one is a fake. The plan was to lead Mizuki out into the forest at night, hold him off until the anbu arrive and while he waits for the teme, he would learn a couple of jutsu from the fake scroll of seals that Hiruzen has provided for the blonde. It was the ultimate trap for a criminal like Mizuki. On the plus side, this B-rank mission that has been assigned to Naruto by the Hokage himself, is just another icing on the cake, not to mention a salt to the wound for teme. When it's completed, the mission will be added to Naruto's record, and be paid the B-rank amount. The final thing, since Mizuki became a traitor to the village, he'll also get the bounty pay. Isn't that sweet?
"You're the luckiest fucking nephalem Naruto, holy shit!" Kurama responded to Naruto's thoughts.
'What can I say? All that hard work in playing the victim paid off right?' Naruto thought with a smirk and the giant fox couldn't help but agree.
Naruto dropped down to the clearing with the shed, put the scroll down, unrolled it and started reading through it.
'Kage Shuriken No Jutsu, Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu…' Naruto thought and grinned at the sight of so many new techniques.
'What elements am I able to use nii-chan?' Naruto asked suddenly and Kurama grinned.
"Well, since you are the nephalem, you are able to use all the elements, however, your primary element is wind and secondary is fire which is obviously due to your demon side, and the latter your angelic side" Kurama explained and Naruto nodded.
'Thanks Kurama-nii' Naruto thanked him through his thoughts.
"Any time" Kurama responded.
"Alright! Time to train!" Naruto shouted.
2 Hours Later, Forest Clearing
Naruto wiped some sweat from his face, now that was a lot of hard work! He has been practising all of these techniques until midnight. It was tough, however, he managed to get through them all. With the help from Kurama advising him on the shadow clone technique and how they transfer their memories back to the original, he managed to get all of the techniques from the scroll down in just two hours. His big brother even complemented that he is a genius of hard work, which further boosted the blonde's pride. However, his nii-chan warned him that he shouldn't be too prideful, otherwise it could end up being his downfall. Kurama knows it through experience. It's not a good feeling to be delt a blow to your pride.
"I found you!" Iruka's voice came out from the trees and he landed on the soft grass.
"Phew! Oh, hey Iruka-sensei!" Naruto greeted him with a grin and a wave.
"What are you doing all the way out here Naruto?" Iruka asked with concern.
"Oh well you see…" Naruto started off as he showed him the scroll.
"Mizuki-sensei told me that if I learnt a jutsu from this scroll here, you'll know for sure that I have definitely passed!" Naruto said with a gleam in his eyes.
"Wait, but I already know you have passed… you have the leaf head band right?" Iruka asked already starting to put together the picture. He then suddenly pushed the blonde away to save him just in time as kunai flew out from the trees, imbedding into Iruka's back. Revealing the hidden form of Mizuki who was sporting an evil smile on his face.
"Good job on finding the moron!" Mizuki shouted.
"Mizuki!" Iruka shouted as he turned around to see him grinning like mad.
"Naruto, hand me the scroll!" Mizuki ordered, while the blonde slightly shivered at the amount of malice that he exuded towards him. He started to slightly panic, looking between Iruka and Mizuki, like he doesn't know what's going on and how to react to this situation.
"Run Naruto! Don't let Mizuki take the scroll of seals! I'll deal with him!" Iruka shouted with a pleading look.
All of a sudden, Mizuki gained a malicious smile that no one has seen before.
"You know, I'll tell you about the incident twelve years ago" Mizuki started. This got the startled Naruto to turn to Mizuki, in secret however, the blonde was curious. Extremely curious. To see what Mizuki knows about 'The Event' that he doesn't.
"No Mizuki!" Iruka shouted as he tried to stop him.
"Twelve years ago the nine-tailed fox attacked, destroyed countless lives and the entire village until the fourth Hokage arrived and defeated the beast" Mizuki continued with the evillest grin he could manage.
"Stop Mizuki!" Iruka shouted as he tried to stop him from telling the secret to the blonde.
"However, all of this was a lie, a lie to keep everyone in the dark. The fox wasn't defeated, no, it was sealed inside a new-born baby! Do you find it odd how people hate you? Despise you?" Mizuki asked as he saw Naruto slowly start to lose it, the blonde didn't like the way his nii-chan was being talked about, no, he won't have it!
"That's right! YOU are the nine-tailed fox that destroyed the village all these years ago! YOU were the one who murdered all the innocent!" Mizuki declared and watched as Naruto's heart started to crumble slowly into dust as the blue-haired chunin started to laugh like a maniac.
"Now you'll know how it truly feels to lose a precious person demon brat! DIE IRUKA!" Mizuki shouted as he threw a large fuma shuriken at Naruto's favourite teacher, and time seemed to slow down for the said teacher as his life was about to end. However, before it could happen, Iruka heard a loud 'clang' sound. As Iruka looked up, what he saw was his saviour. Naruto Uzumaki, his entire body turned into a bright blue, shining like a diamond stopped the fuma shuriken with a single hand and threw it at a nearby tree.
"How DARE YOU TRY TO HURT IRUKA-SENSEI!" Naruto shouted in pure rage as his diamond defence shattered.
"If you try to make fun of nii-chan and hurt Iruka-sensei one more time… then I'll KILL YOU!" Naruto declared; his eyes pulsing red slightly before turning back to their normal shade of blue.
"Try it demon brat! I can kill someone like you in one shot!" Mizuki shouted out loud, although he was also slightly shocked by that new technique he just shown.
Ox → Dog → Dragon → Rat → Dog → Boar → Snake → Tiger "Kage Shuriken No Jutsu!" Naruto shouted as he did some hand-signs and threw his two shuriken at Mizuki who cackled at the pathetic display before he realised too late at what the 'demon brat' said. The two shuriken transformed into thirty, which hit the blue-haired chunin head on.
'Naruto…' Iruka thought as he watched Naruto fight it out with his former friend and partner.
'Naruto, I am honoured to be by your side, and be your big brother, you're trying so hard to protect the person you love and clear my name despite of what I've done to your life…' Kurama thought in his head with a genuine smile across his face.
Mizuki tried to stand up, but all the shuriken that were in him stopped him from moving too much. How did the idiot manage to learn such a technique? And when?
"You…" Mizuki started as he tried to get up.
"Won't…" He continued before he widened his eyes as he was surrounded by four anbu.
"You are under arrest for treason against the village" A woman in a cat mask said before two of the anbu grabbed the man as they shunshined away with him.
"Boar, take Iruka Umino to the hospital, he needs treatment" The woman ordered before Boar shunshined away with him towards the hospital.
"Are you alright?" The woman in the cat mask asked him, while Naruto just nodded slightly, still recovering from today's events.
"Alright, I'll take you to the Hokage Office now, you'll need to give a full detailed report on what happened" The woman explained while Naruto just stayed silent until he and the cat masked anbu shunshined out of sight from the place with the fake scroll as if leaving no trace behind of the battle that occurred here. If you can even call it that.
Hokage Office, Night Time
"…And that's how it all happened" Naruto sighed as he finished his story.
"I see, well, that was very interesting indeed" Hiruzen said as he took in all the details.
"That's your first ever completed mission Naruto, well done, I'm interested about this new skill that you've awakened my boy, it seems very useful and I would like to see it sometime" Hiruzen said with a grandfatherly smile.
"Thanks Jiji!" Naruto shouted as he gave a thumbs up and a grin to the old hokage, who slightly chuckled. Oh to be young again.
"No problem Naruto, you should probably get some rest, you deserve a day off, and don't worry, the payment for the mission and bounty will be sent over to your account soon enough" Hiruzen said as the blonde nodded and waved a goodbye to his grandfather figure and ran back to his apartment to get some well needed rest.
End of Chapter 1
So guys, what did you think of the first chapter? I know it is very canon-ish, but I wanted to know which direction it was going to go in. Yes, I am going to skip the first filler chapters because I want to get straight to the story with this one. Also, this team 7 is going to be slightly different, because I am not just going to stick to the cannon stuff (Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke). Definitely changing it up. I will just have to think carefully about it.
Yes, Naruto's first ability that he awakened as the nephalem is Diamond Skin. Great isn't it? Anyways, you'll be able to vote for Naruto's harem after I have written a few more chapters of this. Naruto is of course going to get Hinata first. That isn't changing. You're welcome to put your suggestions in the reviews though.
Plus, I have never actually seen any Diablo 3 and Naruto Crossovers where Naruto is The Nephalem.
