Hey guys! So this is inspired by a comic I've read from the events of memory snow. This is my first fan fiction so please be gentle with the criticism.
UPDATE: Alright! Drew here!I've fixed a lot about this chapter and added new dialogue. For new readers, the story will be based off of this chapter so try to follow along. It's not a harem story if you're wondering. Not sure why though. This is just a wholesome romance that just happens to have some lemons. So enjoy!
It was the night of the snow festival and it was time for celebratory drinks. Trays of food and drinks lay on the dining room table and the residents of Roswaal's mansion prepared their glasses.
Subaru: Yes! I declare this stargazing viewing to commence!...Also I'd like to thank Rem for her food services!
Rem: Yes...I will be sure to reward myself by watching Subaru-kun sleep extra long…
Subaru: Did you say something?
Rem: "Nope!" ,she said happily.
Subaru: Well nevermind that. Let's get our glasses ready!
Subaru pours wine into his glass cup until Emilia walks up next to him. She seems concerned of something.
Emilia: Ummm Subaru, although I understand this is a drinking party, I do not agree with you underage drinking.
Subaru: What!? As cute as Emilia-tan to be worried about me, how old do you think I am!?
Emilia : Well,...Umm, twelve?… No! Thirteen! Thirteen!
She says nervously. She held up two fingers to indicate twelve, then quickly changed it to three fingers, but she still was unsure of her answer. Surprisingly, the drinking age is fifteen in Lugunica and it was the same for Japan. Some coincidences made between the two worlds made things easier for Subaru.
Subaru: Emilia-tan looks so cute when shes confused! But I'm actually well over seventeen! I can go beyond the adult's section at libraries now!
Emilia: You're saying unusual things again…
Subaru: Nevermind that! Anyway, I can't wait to see how cute Emilia-tan will be when she drinks!
A cat-like spirit floats in front of him. This was Emilia's trusted friend Puck. After hearing Emilia and Subaru's conversation, he intervenes between them.
Pack: Not on my watch. I won't allow my daughter to drink this stuff and it's very bad for you, Lia. Anyone who tries to intoxicate my daughter will be punished!
He shadow boxes the air while he floats. He wasn't being that serious actually. Probably because he enjoys the taste of alcohol too and doesn't want to admit it.
Emilia: Puck! I'm not a child. So don't treat me as if I don't know. It is only for one night.
Roswaal: My my, Su~baru-kun, to think of you as a drinker. Are you confident you can handle a single glass?
Roswaal sits beside the table full of food and alcohol with a glass of wine in his hand. Roswaal could definitely handle his own. He IS the only adult present.
Subaru: Well this is my first drink, but I'm pretty sure I can handle at least one. Not sure how much I can handle 'till I call it a night...
Subaru stares blankly at the glass cup as he swirls the red liquid. Everyone prepares their drinks. Rem on the other hand, was about to pour her glass until a hand grabs hold of her wrist.
Ram: Rem, you mustn't drink. You become easily intoxicated by just the aroma. Any more than that then you become a Barusu.-
Subaru: -What the hell is that supposed to mean?!
Roswaal: Ram, it is what Su~baru-kun has stated. Tonight is the night of drinks and festivities. Surely Rem can handle herself.
Emilia: "He's right, Ram. Rem is not a little girl. She can carry her own weight!", she says cheerfully.
Ram was still unsure, but if Roswaal recommends it, then it's probably fine. She didn't really care about what Emilia thinks sadly, but if Roswaal says so. It is for only one night after all. She lets go of her sister's wrist and nods slightly, indicating she's fine with it, but of course to be careful. Rem nods back with a smile over her face and continues to pour her glass.
Subaru: Well, let's start this night off with a toast! Here's to a better future!
They raised their drinks in the air and the sound of glass clattering against each other echoed throughout the room as everyone yelled, " Cheers!".
The gathering was almost at an end and Subaru, Rem, and Emilia were passed out from drinking, leaning against the wall. Roswaal and Beatrice had already left to their respective rooms and Puck had already dematerialized inside the green crystal over Emilia's chest for the night. Ram stares down at the trio after she had just finished cleaning the area. She drank more than the three combined, but the alcohol doesn't affect her.
She has had a lot of experience since childhood...
Ram: Such indecency, especially from you Rem.
She stares down at her blue haired sister, leaning against the unconscious Subaru.
Ram leans in and picks up Emilia and Rem on both sides with each arm over her neck. Rem woke up from the sudden feeling of her weight being lifted from the ground.
Rem: Ne-sama...
Ram: Rem, you're finally awake. Are you able to stand?
Rem: Yes...but, what about Subaru-kun?
Ram: Leave him. Barusu thinks he can tolerate Roswaal-sama's liquor, but of course he is mistaken.
Rem stares down at Subaru with pity. Of course she can't leave him Uprights herself and frees her hold from Ram's neck. She stumbles a little bit before catching her balance.
Rem: A-allow me to(hiccup) ...excuse me. Allow me to deliver Subaru-kun to his bedroom.
Ram : Absolutely not. You can barely stand and you wish to carry him?
Rem: I mustn't allow him to sleep in this position.
The blue haired maid bends down and uprights Subaru and picks him up with his arm over her neck, but stumbles over and nearly crashes forward towards the wall. Ram just watches and sighs.
Ram: This is why i keep you from alcohol Rem, you become disobedient towards me.
Rem: But Ne-sama…
Ram: Rem, the smell of alcohol on his breath is turning you intoxicated. You won't ever make it to his room.
Rem: *pouts Please Do not underestimate Rem. I am perfectly * hiccup, excuse me… I am perfectly capable of a simple task.
Ram gave up. She knew she couldn't get through to her sister in this state and turned around facing the door with Emilia still wrapped around her.
Ram: Fine, but please head to your room afterward. I will deliver Emilia-sama to her room.
Rem: Yes, Ne-sama
Emilia soon woke up still feeling drowsy and her eyelids half closed.
Emilia: Ram? Is that you?*giggles Today was sooo much fun and the food *hiccup and the food was sooo yummy!
Ram: Yes. I agree with you Emilia-sama. Barusu may be weak and pathetic, but he comes through with his silly ideas.
Ram proceeded out of the room leaving Rem to turn off the lights and left as well.
Rem was still carrying Subaru down the hall and swaying side to side, trying to keep her balance thanks to the effects of the alcohol. Subaru started to wake up from the movements and the feeling of his arm being tugged. He looked up at the blue haired maid.
Subaru: ugh...Rem?
Rem: Yes, Subaru-kun?
Subaru: "Where...what are you doing?", he says sluggishly.
Rem: Rem is delivering Subaru-kun to his bedroom for the night.
Subaru: Oh, are you? Thank you, but I think i can manage from here.
He pulled himself up and stood upright. Rem was amazed that he can stand so casually after having so many drinks. I mean, this is Rem, she admires him this much. He takes the first step and completely stumbles to his side and crashes in front of the door. He nearly blacked out ,but he supported himself against the door clutching his forehead in pain. Rem looks at him worried.
Rem: Subaru-kun, are you alright?!
Subaru: *groans yes, I'm fine...I guess this is karma for my bad intuition to drink….definitely should have stopped after three glasses.
Rem: And yet you drank three glasses of wine, two cups of bourbon, and three mugs of whiskey! You are truly amazing!
Subaru: Yes, but Nee-sama had a couple bottles. I can't compare to that!
Rem: Ne-sama is truly amazing as well!
Her voice was gleaming with confidence as they talked about her big sister idle. Sill in front of the door. He turns around and gives Rem a slight bow and tells her goodnight. He opens the door and unbuttons his suit and bowtie and throws them on the floor. He slides off his dress shoes and immediately collapses on the bed on his belly. Rem follows behind. She admired his sleeping figure for a few seconds then decided to poke his cheek. Whispering in his ear.
Rem: Subaru-kun...Subaru-kun…
Subaru: "Yes Rem? I understand that you watch me sleep, not that I'm okay with it, but ...I'm...exhausted…" he says tiredly.
Rem: As much as I would like to gaze upon you, Rem is also tired as well and you are currently in Rem's bedroom.
flipping over on his back, he furrows his brows and scans the room. He has never really been inside her room before, but It was clearly not his. He rests his head on her pillow again.
Subaru: Oh...you are right. Just...give me a few more minutes.
Rem: No, it's quite alright. I will spend the night with Ne-sama.
Subaru: No, no just...wait a bit. If Nee-sama were to find out about this *yawns...
Rem: Rem shall not disturb Subaru-kun when he is asleep, but Ne-sama will surely be angry, and it is not in the right mind to spend the night with Emilia-sama. Roswaal-sama and lady beatrice-sama wouldn't permit it as well.
Furrowing her brows and her thumb on her chin, she thought a bit more until she came up with a conclusion that excites her, but at the same time she felt embarrassed. She smiles with a red tint on her face, walks over to him and whispers to his ear.
Rem: You may rest here tonight Subaru-kun.
Subaru furrows his brows unconsciously after hearing that. She steps away from him and walks over to her closet. She opened it and grabbed her green nightgown with a hanger attached in it and examined it until realizing something. She laid her sleepwear on the foot of the bed and kneeled down to grab Subaru's vest jacket and covered his face with it gently so as to not disturb him.
Rem: Please do not remove this and allow Rem her privacy.
She walks back to the foot of the bed and changes into her sleep attire. Afterwards, she removes his jacket and walks to the other side of the bed. She lays down and pulls the sheets over herself. The two were at a respective distance at each side of the bed. She stared at him as he slept, as promised from earlier.
It may still be the effects of the alcohol, but an idea formed in her mind. Taking advantage of the situation, she scooted a little bit closer to him to feel his aroma. Closer and closer she got until she felt his breath on her nose, which tickled her.
Remn: *giggles Subaru-kun looks so cute when he's sleeping.
Unconsciously, Subaru turns over onto his stomach again, but it startled Rem and not because of the sudden movement. It was because he flipped over on top of her and she made a silent yelp. His cheek was pressed against hers and his leg between her thighs with his chest pushed against her breasts. The scenario was indecent and inappropriate. She was panting and tried to free her arms under his weight.
Rem: Eep! S-subaru-kun!
Subaru:...
Rem: Subaru-kun, please wake up! You are-
She squirms under him, trying to release herself. Subaru heard her little squeal and opened his eyes. He yawns and supports himself on all fours.
Subaru: Rem? What are you doing?
Rem: Rem should be asking that question.
Subaru: Wait...really? Did I really…
He stops mid sentence as he notices something off. Maybe it was the drowsiness or maybe he was still drunk, but he couldn't help,but stare at Rem's face. The room was still dark and the only source of light was from the starlight coming in from under the doorway and around the half closed curtains. He stared down at her one sparkling sapphire eye. Her cheeks were flushed and her hands were on each side of her head. While supporting himself he used his left hand to cup her right cheek, thumbing it gently. She felt scared, but...at the same time, comforting. It was an unknown feeling.
Rem: Subaru...kun?
She was clueless. What was he doing? Actually, why was she allowing this? He glides his hand over her bangs,revealing her right eye for a second then swaying back halfway to her face. Rem was actually...beautiful. He knew she was pretty cute, but not as cute as Emilia, so why was his head flooded with this level of cuteness? Perhaps this was the outcome of his drunken mind? Unknowingly, he was leaning in closer and closer.
Rem: Subaru…
They both closed their eyes the closer he got until finally...their lips touched. It was soft and warm. It lasted about two seconds, but it felt as if everything around her stopped and she accepted it. He pulled away slowly as they both opened their eyes with flushed cheeks. Subaru finally realized what he had done and immediately pulled away.
Subaru: I-I-I'm sorry...I didn't mean to do that. I just...wow I'm pathetic-
Rem: N-no. It's quite alright. I am to blame myself for allowing you.
Subaru: You're right. It was my mistake, I'll just leave.
He pulls himself up further. Rem noticed that he was feeling guilty so she stopped him by tugging on his dress shirt. He looked at her and noticed her pleading eyes.
Rem: "No! Actually...it felt very pleasant and umm….Rem wouldn't mind if you could...redo it again", she asked nervously.
Subaru: Again?
Both weren't at the best mindsets right now. She was eager and a bit disobedient while his heart and his reasoning were fuzzy. She nods at him slightly giving him the signal to try once more. Seeing her approval, he leaned in. Carefully, he inched in to meet her lips with his once more,but this one was much longer. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him in closer. While being pulled down, he wrapped his arms around her waist as they craved one another. They kept at it for a few minutes until she pulled away trying to gasp for air and turned her head to avoid the onslaught of his kisses until he accidentally started to kiss her cheek then to her neck. She moaned from this new sensation of pleasure. He heard her noises and stopped. He opened his eyes.
Subaru: Rem. Am I hurting you?
Rem: No, this is actually quite pleasing. Please continue.
Subaru wasn't one to read the mood,but he understood. She was very sensitive at this spot. At this moment he wanted to make her feel happy so he will do whatever it takes. He continued the trail of kisses on her neck down to her shoulder until his lips met with the piece of fabric. He pulled the shoulder part of the nightgown down over her arm and made little kisses on her shoulder. He didn't know if this was a special spot as well, but at this point, he knew the moans coming from her meant she liked it.
Rem: Subaru!
Subaru: What's wrong?
Rem: I-I-If you wish to…
Subaru: To what?
Rem: If you wish to undress Rem. Please do so.
Subaru: Undress you? What do you mean?
Why does she want him to undress her? He looks over at her exposed shoulder. The shoulder part of the nightgown was pulled down around her arm. It almost revealed her breast so it made his cheeks flushed.
Subaru:Oh, you want me to undress you?
Rem: Y-Yes, But please be gentle.
He was nervous about this situation. Subaru pulled down and removed the sheets that separated them and reached down and underneath her nightgown. He pulled them up and she arched her back a little to give him easier access. His hand gliding against her curves as he pulled the piece of fabric up from her waist to her back and finally... His mouth gaped open as he viewed her almost naked figure. Only her bra and panties were the only particles of clothing she had on. She covered her breasts with her arms and crossed her knees feeling slightly embarrassed.
Rem: Please don't stare. It's embarrassing if you do.
Subaru: Sorry sorry. I've never seen anything so mesmerising before. It nearly gave me a nosebleed.
Rem: "You...don't like my body?", she said in a sad tone
Subaru: No I'm saying you're too beautiful for my eyes to look at.
How sweet. She giggled at his response and pulled him back in for another kiss.
During their kiss she started to undo the buttons of his dress shirt and then she unbuckled his dress pants. He felt her hands rubbing his bare chest. He pulls away feeling slightly confused.
Subaru: Wait, Rem. What are you doing?
Rem: It is Subaru-kun's turn to undress.
His face turns completely red. Does she really want to see him undress too? Well, he is already revealing his chest and some of his boxers as his pants slide halfway down.
Subaru: Oh...ok, I guess it's only fair.
He was still embarrassed, but she was right. He uprights himself and takes off his shirt and pants and throws them on the floor. Now only wearing his boxers and dress socks. When he turned back, he noticed Rem staring at him. She was completely awestruck from his figure. Now he realizes how it felt for her to undress.
Subaru: Ok I see your point! Now please don't stare at me!
Rem: "Rem couldn't help, but to admire you too Subaru-kun.", she says mockingly
How cute. He crawls on top of her and begins his assault once again on her neck. They both held each other close, feeling each other's warmth. She let out small moans from time to time as he ate away at her. The feeling of his lips on her neck and collarbone was beyond words to her. Rem: Hah...Subaru-kun. Something is touching me down there.
They let go of their embrace slightly and he positioned himself on all fours to see it was his erection through his boxers. Why didn't he realize this before? He should have known what he was doing to this girl and this was something he was supposed to prepare for.

Rem stops his sentence with a passionate kiss. He looks at her dumbfounded after she breaks away.

He did as she said and took off his boxers slowly until it sprang up out of his piece of clothing. He threw it at the foot of the bed. It wasn't that big...or that small either, but she stared at it. She had never seen one in person. Only the anatomy in the books. She snaps out of her trance and looks up at his totally flushed face.
Rem: My apologies. It must be my turn now is it?
Subaru: Well it's only fair
She sat up and with two hands behind her back, she unhooked her bra and held it close to her. Still unsure if she should reveal, but if it was for Subaru, then she had no choice.
With anticipation she closed her eyes and let the clothing fall down to her lap to reveal her little mounds. Subaru was awestruck at what he was seeing that his nose bled. Subaru: Yours? Are you sure? I don't want to keep continuing if it hurts you...even a little bit
Rem: "Please, Subaru-kun" she said pleadingly
Subaru: Okay, but here...Let go of me
She frees her grip around his neck and back. He holds her hand, intertwining their fingers. She looked at him confused, but she realized he was trying to calm her and make her feel comfortable.
Subaru:Does this feel better?
Subaru knew this trick too well between the demon sisters. It was a gesture of relief and a sign that she wasn't going through with it alone. Her once twisted face calmed and she nods at his gesture. With that, he leaned in again and gave her a passionate kiss. His kisses were getting better at this point from their first kiss and he felt confident this night. With her free hand she wrapped it around his back as he pulled out a little. She squeezed his hand and moaned deeply in his mouth as this pain finally turned into pleasure for her. She sat up, supporting herself with her elbow, stared at his sleeping form trying to understand what just happened. He admitted his love for her for the first time and she gladly accepted it. She covered her mouth and giggled. She crawled over to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Rem: Rem loves you too Subaru-kun. Now sleep tight my love.
She snuggled up next to him and rested her head on his chest. She pulled the sheets over them at her neckline and embraced him and soon fell asleep with a small smile on her face.
