Prelude: Aizawa Shouta
"THE HELL DID YOU SAY FROG FACE, I'LL KILL YOU!"
Aizawa sighed inside his mobile home, which happened to be a yellow sleeping bag. These kids were starting to get on his nerves with their constant noise, he couldn't even take a nap without one of them shouting and he was starting to regret not expelling them. He unzipped his sleeping bag slightly to see if he needed to step in. Bakugo was currently pushed up against a railing screaming at Asui, Iida was yelling at him to stop with some kind of chop action, and Midoriya was mumbling to himself… again.
"This is gonna be my next three years isn't it." he sighed. By his calculations, they should be arriving at the USJ for rescue training within the next 2 minutes, so there's no point in trying to go back to sleep now. He reluctantly exited his mobile home and stood up with a groan. "Hey! Quiet down back there, we're almost there." His words had an immediate effect and the noise stopped, at least they were getting better at that part, at this rate he might be able to take a nap within 100 meters of them in a few months.
1 and a half minutes past and true to his words the bus turned a corner and the USJ came into sight, the massive dome-shaped building was the size of a couple of city blocks, and the students were appropriately awed. The bus came to a stop and Aizawa turned to look back at the kids.
"Welcome to the USJ" He smirked
Kaminari gasped "Universal Studios Japan!?" Aizawa sweatdropped, as did the other students around the blonde. The blonde noticed and looked at those around him "What?" Aizawa just sighed and left the bus, hoping at least some of his students were intelligent enough to follow after him, and direct the ones that weren't to do the same. Sure enough, the class representative ordered the students to exit the bus, and they did so with, for the most part, no complaint, but even outside the bus Aizawa could still hear Bakugo's grumble about not telling him what to do, Aizawa was going to have to have a talk with that kid eventually, but not today.
Once his students were outside the bus and somewhat attentive he motioned to the building behind him.
"This is where you lot will be doing your training today, there's someone inside waiting to give you the specific details, I'll just be supervising." Aizawa droned out in a bored tone, in spite of which the kids still looked excited about the training, except for Kaminari who now seemed to be confused. "Now hurry up and stop wasting time." With that he turned around and walked to the domed building's massive doors, sliding open as he approached he stepped through with his students following at his heels. Inside it was revealed that they were atop a massive stairway, leading down from which there was a large plaza, but that wasn't the impressive bit. Surrounding the plaza were a slew of different environments, meant to represent different disasters. These include a flood, landslide, downpour, conflagration, ruins, and mountain zone, and standing in front of it all was a hero dressed in astronaut gear.
Aizawa heard a gasp behind him and braced for the unabashed fanboying he was about to hear, as a certain green-haired student recognized the hero in front of them, he added the student in question to his mental, have a talk with later list which was quickly filling up, at this rate the entire class would be on it by the end of the trip. For someone who wanted to be a hero himself Midori-
"IT'S THE SPACE HERO THIRTEEN, SHE RESCUES PEOPLE FROM DISASTERS ALL OVER THE WORLD!" Uraraka squealed, putting a halt to her teacher's thought process. Nevermind apparently it was Uraraka this time, how two people who he was fairly certain only met in the entrance exam sound and act so much alike he would never understand. Speaking of people who Midoriya acts like.
"Thirteen, where's All Might?" He asked
"He got caught up in some incidents this morning and won't be joining us until later." While they responded Thirteen held up three fingers, signaling to Aizawa that All Might had already used up his time for the day. One day he was sure he'd understand why Nezu had agreed to hire on All Might as a teacher, but today was not that day, by not being here to supervise All Might had slowed down the rate at which they could perform all the exercises by at least a third, which meant more work for himself and Thirteen. He was beginning to wonder if he could expel a teacher, he wasn't sure but he was about ready to try. "That man is the height of irrationality."
"Well anyway," Thirteen began addressing the students. "Welcome to the USJ, it's a state of the art rescue training facility that I helped design in order to best help the next generation of heroes, before we start I've got one, two, maybe three or four things I'd like to say." Thirteen had their undivided attention now, it turns out that being a rescue hero made keeping groups of people calm and focused an even more important skill to have, and Thirteen, in particular, was very good at it. "While being able to fight villains is important to be a hero, it's even more important to remember that the main job of a hero is to save lives, and that's what you're here to learn. When helping people it's important to remember that with many quirks including my own, while they can be used to save people they can just as easily kill." There was a grim shift in the atmosphere after that statement. "It is my hope that over your time here at this training and over the course of UA as a whole you learn to control your quirks to the best of your ability so that that fear never becomes a reality, thank you." Thirteen finished with a bow to the applause of his class, including Iida whose "clapping" appeared to be doing jumping jacks but just with his arms.
A white flash suddenly appeared in Aizawa's peripheral vision. Ready for combat in an instant he got into a stance with his scarf at the ready, the flash was what appeared to be a floating split in the air that glowed with intense white light, it created some form of bright white energy which crackled but didn't seem to do any damage to the ground when it struck. The students noticed his reaction and while some got into combat-ready stances as well, notably Bakugo, Todoroki, Kirishima, and surprisingly Midoriya. Others were less concerned.
"What is that?"
"Is it a teacher's quirk?"
"Is this part of the training?"
Deciding to put an end to the confusion Aizawa called out "Everyone back away, I don't know what that is!" The reaction was immediate as the students paled and backed away from the mysterious light, which had begun to crackle more violently.
The white split seemed to pulse as the energy it emitted started to strike more frequently, starting to resemble a tesla coil of some kind. Suddenly the energy stopped, but only for a split second as the white light grew larger and the glare became too blinding to look at, everyone averted their eyes and braced for an attack that never came. Instead, as quick as it came the light retreated back and disappeared completely.
Aizawa blinked the spots out of his eyes and looked back where the light had been, in its place was a teenage girl. She had white hair cut short so it framed her face and a lithe but rather muscular build, and was rather short at about 5'3". She was standing in what appeared to be a hero costume, a skin-tight sleeveless silver bodysuit, on either arm, her forearm was covered by a golden steel bracer and her hands wore fingerless gloves with steel reinforcements on the knuckles, she had two purple streaks that outlined the sides of her costume. She wore golden knee-high boots that ended in a V shape on the sides, the tops of the boots had a purple outline, and the bottom was reinforced with steel. The final touch to the bodysuit was a purple hood, currently down resting against her back. She opened her lilac eyes and looked at her surroundings.
Aizawa was currently erasing the girl's quirk with his own, she may be dressed like a hero but that doesn't guarantee she is one, nor does it explain why she appeared in the middle of the UA campus, or why the alarm didn't go off upon her arrival. His train of thought was cut short as the girl spoke for the first time.
"Oh good, I'm alive." She mumbled to herself, seemingly drained before looking at the class gathered nearby "And it worked too!". Suddenly seeming much more energetic she tried to take a step towards them and Aizawa moved to intercept, however, it was unnecessary as halfway into her stride the girl fell unconscious and hit the floor.
The students and teachers just fell into stunned science, staring at the unconscious girl. It was Kaminari who voiced their internal question.
"What the hell just happened?" This time Aizawa couldn't fault him for asking.
No one noticed the dark fog begin to pool into the plaza below.
So yeah, that's the first chapter of my story, any comments, reviews, questions, or challenges to duel to the death are welcome, and I'll do my best to answer them. This is my first story so any constructive criticism is doubly appreciated, that being said thanks for reading and I'll see y'all whenever I upload next, might be this week, might be next week, could be tomorrow, I really got no clue, but I will do it eventually.
