After Kain killed Abel the demon traveling with the first humans was tumbling away. He didn't hear the words from the angel, but it wasn't important. The anger and the disgust for the demon was enough. Did heaven already forget that demons were angels once? At least that most of them ere angels once. His eyes burnd and after a while his vision blurred. He noticed something rolling down his cheeks and after a while he could see the dripping blood he left. His eyes were bleeding. He looked up and around, only lonelyness and the sand of the desert were with him. Completly exhausted he coalpsed to his knees, trying to quench his sobbing but his shoulders were quivering. The burning in his eyes was only growing, condensing to one stabbing pain and something hard was dropping to the ground. He didn't notice it nor the other two crystals to fall to the ground, dropping into the sand.
„I was one of your angels!", he shouted frustrated and hurt into the darkness of the night. He shouted to the stars, he once created. „You once ade me from your light! From faith, from your love, your corage! Why do you leave me? Why do you didn't want me anymore? What did I do? I only asked questions!" He didn't expect an answer, he wouldn't get any anyway. But it was freeing to shout like that, to let go of his frustration. Once he was a symbol of light, of hope and benevolence. He was one of the first angels, the first one, if the storys were right. And he was cast out, wasn't needed anymore. He frowned before he took a calming breath and promised to himself not to care anymore.
Left of this day were only three bloodied crystals, stones from the heart of an angel. Each one of them a symbol of one aspect of the personality of the once crying demon. Emeralds were quickly attributet with healing, hope and the confidence of a better future. It took some centurys until the redhead demon, the Serpent of Eden conected the emeralds with himself. Why should he, he wasn't the angel, he was once before time started. No, humans couldn't know about his past. And still emeralds were attributed with hope.
With the rubys it took even longer for the conection to sink in. At least the green of the emeralds were once a trademark from him, but to connect the love and passion, he once possesed as he was up in the sky creating stars, with himself was simply impossible for him. It was the angel he met now and then, who alerted him to that. At least soldiers from Greek and Roman were convinced that rubys were boosting the healing of wounds. Shaking his head he pulled the black diamond from his pocket. It broke the light, seeming like somebody trapped ash inside it and if you were tu turn it, you would be able to see the smoke that was really trapped inside.
As pure and resistant, as perfect and full of eternal love the diamonds should be, so little was it this one. It was a brittle thing for a dimond, the inclusions eating away on the durability. An indescribable sadness emanated from this gem, shaped like a teardrop. It took many routs to get into the hands of the Serpant of Eden. Always war traveld after it, pained faith and hurting soul eating on the love, the light and the hope. It didn't gave the chance to settle. Thus, all deeds that arose under the influence of this gemstone had all fallen as credit to the Serpent of Eden. A heavy sight traveld through him, but then he thought about the things he learnd. This gemstones once sprung from his tears and multiplied once under the earth. And this three he now colected were the first ones. Each one carried a virtue of his with them. One last time he looked at the smoke inside the diamond, then he crushed it with his hand, freeing what he trapped once. The colors literally shone, the sun warmer and brighter, humans showing more kindness and even the birds were chirping with more fervor. Satisfied, the demon walked on, ignoring the last of the falling diamond dust.
