Heroes Reborn - A Tale of Two Universes

Disclaimer - This is a work of fiction and all characters used belong to DC Comics, AT&T and Marvel Comics , Disney. I am writing my own DC-Marvel crossover fiction since both the comic giants are not willing to do it.

M'ggan M'orzz

M'gann knew something has changed the current universe and the timelines. She sensed the shift of the cosmos rearranging reality and the batman who laughs is dead. She searched for his presence but could not find any trace of the crisis energy or the dark multiverse remaining except within her and clark. She felt a sadness fill her as her world was destroyed despite she never felt anything for the place before. She saw the wall of their house in Kansas and sensed that he is nearby, her boyfriend and fiancé 'clark kent' formerly known as 'superboy prime' and now only as 'superman' in this new reality the batman who laughs has created for him and asked her to watch over him.

She maintained her disguise as 'laurie' and helped control the illusion, but now she does not know what to do. She was the sole survivor of her universe, she killed the martian manhunter of her world along with a green lantern but the psychotic bat clown had her babysitting a man-child. It all went down when superboy prime was fighting and winning against the bat-hattan who laughs. The clown had used some of his powers to create a pocket dimension where this earth was created to confuse the superbrat.

This was supposed to be the new destiny for this super boy written by the meta writers at DC Comics. She hated the world as she shapeshifted as laurie and controlled the world to her will as per the mood of the boy. Her powers have ramped up a zillion times here. In addition to flight, super strength, super speed, density shifting, heat and martian vision, telekinetic, telepathic, regeneration, shapeshifting and invisibility powers she acquired cosmic senses, reality shifting, teleportation , force fields and surprisingly invulnerability to fire which surprised her.

She thought these new powers manifested as a result of her being exposed to the crisis energy of the dark multiverse. To her surprise prime developed even more powers after she tested his limits. He seem to be impervious to red solar radiation which was his only weakness before, he also developed the ability to see in complete darkness as well as absorbing all kinds of radiation and energies including magic, he even gained the ability of tactile telekinesis and energy & matter manipulation which were never displayed before. She have to be more careful around him in case if he develops any other abilities. She is not sure he will let her live once he finds out that he is living a lie.

She sensed the boundaries between earth's of this new multiverse were destroyed by some unknown power. She cannot keep this up for long, clark was happy after a long miserable existence, he was a villain before and he only wanted to go home. She heard a swish and a woof from the dog she created. 'He is here' before she can move he lifted her in his strong arms as they flew above their farm into the sky. "Laurie you will not believe what happened to me today, the parasite and maxima had me surrounded but I was able to defeat them barely using my freeze breath and super speed. Anywho I dropped them in prison and back as promised'.

She managed a fake laugh "poor baby, don't you worry the world can survive a night without superman. Now mister you owe me a date" she smiled seductively as their lips met. Her breath hitched and her chest burned hot. 'No this used to repel me but I'm enjoying this now' a voice said in her head. He never did anything beyond that which left her sad for some reason. 'you have fallen for him' a voice murmered in her head. She acted coy as clark landed them both near the house.

'I need to find a way to escape before something happens' she thought but how the freak is dead and she do not know what will happen once she ends this illusion and tries to escape. 'just where did the freak send them both' she thought as she shape shifted her drabs into a lovely red dress. Time to act like a damsel in distress and make sure clark is distracted a steady flow of friends in the restaurant. 'This is your own hell' whisphered a voice and another giggled 'or your heaven, even villains can be heroes'. She checked her reflection in the mirror and went to fetch clark kent.

He was already in his suit with his glasses on. He smiled at her and complemented her on her beauty. She hugged him tightly as they flew to newyork city and landed in an alley. They entered a nice restaurant where she suddenly felt danger was near as her senses heightened. Some one was watching them. She saw clark panic as well but quickly searched the restaurant. She saw a man with a moustache reading a paper and sensed raw power eminating from him. She tried to read his mind but couldn't which is impossible. She saw that clark was eyeing the man as well.

"You imp, lori get away from here" clark shouted. "Well well somebody is growing up in fantasy" the weird short man said and transformed before her eyes into an 'imp'. This freak she thought who liked to mess with people. He smiled at her and said 'gig's up' before she felt the very world crumbling.

"Lori" she heard prime screaming while looking to be in pain. 'The imp had destroyed the illusion' she thought as crisis energy coursed through her and clark as a blinding light pulled them both into some kind of a nexus. "What" she said before finding herself standing in a different place which looked like newyork but she felt it before she understood it.

'They are transported to another universe which is strange and very different from their own'. "Lori you allright' clark enquired before she nodded and said "clark we need to get out of this place". Suddenly she felt someone observing them far away and pulled him towards a nearby stall. Suddenly she heard gunshots as cops chased a speeding vehicle and the robbers shooting back at the cops. Clark sprung into action before she could stop him and said his catchphrase "This looks like a job for superman" and in a heartbeat lifted the car and froze it's tyres. He shook the van as it is an empty cereal box and four men fell from it.

They opened fire on clark and saw that their bullets cannot harm him. She looked on as the four men are tied up and apprehended in a moment and she saw someone swoop in from between the buildings. "Thank you dude, I don't think I have seen you before, I'm spiderman by the way' said the boyish sounding teenager who dressed in red and blue with a spider symbol on his chest.

"She quickly read his mind and screamed 'clark we are in another universe' loudly before he seemed surprised. The things she saw in the kid's past and his associates known as 'the avengers'. "Oh hell clark we are screwed" she cried before the kid whined "wait did you just read my mind ?". Clark looked suspiciously at the spider kid and at me and for a moment she thought he saw right through her. "How did you know that lori ?" he asked with a frown on his face.

"I just guessed clark, I have never heard of any spiderman in newyork before" she tried to throw him off by placing her arms on his shoulder. "Not again, they will never leave me be" he raged withdrawing from her. The kid looked puzzled and asked "so you guys are from another earth ?. I think I can help you out. I knew dr. Reed richards and the fantastic four". "I never heard of them. This is all a trick from those stupid writers at DC. Why can't I have some peace " clark raged getting angry. 'Oh no he is going to have one of those freakouts, best distract him before he kills somebody".

She spoke to him taking his face in her hands "baby we will find a way. You always save the day. This is nothing. Let's go meet that doctor" she pleaded and watched as he slowly calmed down and agreed to follow the kid. The kid swung his way using 'webs' and clark carried her while he flew. She used her martian vision to quickly scan the surrounding states and read a few minds to further know about this world. Many people are traumatized after recently being possessed by an army of organisms called symbiotes. She went through some memories and found out this earth's heroes as no slouches either as they have a literal norse god among them.

Some space god named 'Knull' had invaded this earth and plunged it in darkness. The heroes with the help of a child and some powerful entity called 'captain universe' defeated him. Maybe this universe is not so bad after all. They can stay here for a time where she no longer have to create a world she doubted existed now. She knew that the energy running their 'perfect world' have been absorbed by both of them. This universe seemed very different to the one she knew. She saw that clark was scanning this world as well. She prayed that he likes it or he has another 'Infinite Crisis' on his hands.

Earth 616

Doctor Strange

The sorcerer supreme felt a disturbance in the cosmic balance and used the eye of agamotto to see two powerful beings arrive in this universe. He saw two aliens of unknown race both resembling humans in newyork. He saw one of the alien fly with incredible speed and apprehended robbers in mere moments. He wondered if it is hyperion but saw their auras and powers are very different. This boy with a big 'S' on his chest is a very powerful being. The girl was a powerful telepath and found him spying on her and protected her mind. Then to his surprise he saw peter parker arrive and leading the two towards the fantastic four tower.

He sensed something is wrong with the boy as he saw his mind was filled with rage and he gave off a very different aura than he had ever seen. He wanted to see how these strangers react to the fantastic four and this universe. They can be powerful allies if used well and if they are threats they might need the entire roaster to defeat them. He picked up his avengers card and contacted tony stark.

Peter Parker

Peter knew that the teenagers he was escorting to the baxter building were no ordinary people. The girl clearly a telepath read his mind in a split second without his spider sense warning him. This guy seems even worse than hyperion. He did not want to get into another fight with another powerhouse so soon after knull and his symbiote dragons attacked earth. It took the 'Enigma force' and eddie brock together as 'captain universe' to defeat the god of symbiotes. He have to take these two to reed Richards to assess their powers and later inform the avengers about these strangers.

They entered the baxter building and he used his avengers card to wave the floating machine which scanned it and opened the door. He was relieved to see reed and sue working on some high tech quantum reactor. He was curious about it's applications and introduced the two strangers to reed and sue. "Really you have no idea which universe you came from ?" reed was asking the boy who was looking around suspiciously.

"No idea, I never heard of a fantastic four or avengers and I have been to many universes" said the boy. Suddenly the sirens in the lab gave a warning when scanning the girl "warning alien life form detected" buzzed the machines. The girl panicked as the boy asked her "Lori what are you hiding ? why are these robots saying you are an alien ? You seem tense since we got here" . The girl panicked and did something as the machines malfunctioned and the sirens stopped .

"Stop you are using telekinetic energy" said sue storm adding "are you a skrull in disguise ?". Hearing the noise the thing and human torch came to the lab "what's with the sound reed ? I'm trying to watch the game" said ben grimm looking at the boy and girl. "Spidey who are these two ?"

"Enough" the boy shouted which resonated around the lab. Before anyone can react he picked up the girl and flew away from the building. "Woah that guy's fast" piped Johnny storm. "Do not let them out of sight spidey. They could be dangerous based on the power readings I am getting from them, let's call the avengers before something happens" reed said before reaching for their avengers cards.

"Well I hope they turn out to be good people" he said as he left the tower and went in search of these strange people. He thought something was up with that girl who he had to admit was cute with her red hair. She seemed to be afraid of her boyfriend but reed said she has powers too, how come she was afraid of the guy then. He did not want to talk about rocky relationships now and kept searching but did not find them anywhere.

Captain Marvel

Carol was on her way home after she visited sword when she saw a commotion happening near manhattan. A boy who was in some weird costume was arguing with a girl and suddenly he tried to choke her and his eyes glowed red. Carol never stood for violence against women and she will not let any misogynist get away. She swooped low and saw the guy yelling at the girl.

"You lied all this time you bitch, I never came home, my parents never loved me it's all an illusion" he roared and looked at the shivering girl with anger. "Please clark it wasn't me" the girl tried to say before he interrupted her "Is it the batman who laughs ? you never cared to mention this to me" he yelled at her before his eyes were red again. Carol flew straight at the boy and decked him across the face when she felt like hitting a mountain made of adamantium or vibranium. She felt pain in her right hand like never before.

"who the hell are you lady ? stay out of this I won't warn you again" said the boy seething with anger. "Please leave before you make things worse" said the girl almost pleading. Carol powered up and blasted the guy with full power which did nothing. He still stood there looking angry and asked "woman are you deaf ? I said get out of here". The ego on this fool, not only is he hurting this poor girl but asking her to leave the scene.

"We will see who will leave here" she said as he flew at top speed to wards him only to be sent flying straight into the atmosphere. She overcame her shock and tried to calm down. How did he throw her this far in an instant without her noticing it, she was not able to understand who this guy is. She only seen such kind of power in Sentry or the immortal hulk. She was devastated that she was quickly thrown off earth and sent the signal to the avengers.

She flew towards earth again with angry. One way or the other the fool is gonna pay for disrespecting her. When she heard her intergalactic comm buzzed she shouted "Avengers Assemble". Time to teach this new freak a lesson.

Author's Note - This is a fan fic based on what happens when dc heroes cross over into the marvel universe. I used 'superboy prime' and a dark multiverse version of 'miss martian' because they are powerful characters underused by DC. This is my version of "Secret Crisis" where JLA & Avengers face off once more.
