BP: I know I mainly write Pokémon fanfics, but this is an idea I can't help but have at this dark time. This fic is just for me to test my ability to write humor, although I normally am not a person with a sense of humor in general.
This fic is set after the Fourth Shinobi World War.
Warning: Crack Pairing, Fem!Naruto, maybe OOC and probably half-assed attempt at humor.
It's one of my first Naruto fanfic and I'm not good at writing humor, so please be kind.
Konohagakure had plenty of handsome guys that caught the attention of many girls. From the cool and edgy Sasuke Uchiha to lazy but brilliant Shikamaru Nara to even kind-hearted and passionate Rock Lee, there were just boys for any girl (or guy, if you swing that way) to fall in love with and admire. Even the older guys such as mysterious Kakashi Hatake or cute Iruka Umino are no slouches themselves either.
But out of all of these guys, one probably had more admirers than anyone else among the village. This was the recently revived Tobirama Senju, the former Nidaime of Konohagakure. No one really knew why he was alive without a trace of Edo Tensei on him, but regardless, he was downright attractive, had a serious personality and was a powerful shinobi that could rival his brother Hashirama Senju.
It was no surprise why guys want to be like him and girls want to date him, with the wide belief that he would make the ideal boyfriend.
However, the truth was far different than the beliefs the villagers held and there was one person who knew this better than anybody else.
Naruto Uzumaki, Tobirama's current and not-so-secret girlfriend.
Apparently, like his brother, he had a preference for Uzumaki women and by the time he realized it, the Uzumaki clan was wiped out. He was actually envious seeing how happy his big brother was with his wife. With the ongoing war, he never had the time to find an Uzumaki woman that he wanted as a wife when he was still alive.
Until he was revived, and Naruto came along.
On paper, Naruto may seem like the luckiest girl on the planet, having a boyfriend like Tobirama by her side, and living her life with lots of friends and being acknowledged by the villagers in the way she wanted, but every good thing has its downsides and Naruto's relationship with Tobirama was no exception.
In fact, there were several problems she often faced with dating her stoic, white-haired former Kage.
Let's take a look at some examples.
Throughout all of her life, Naruto had been living alone in an apartment. Sure, she did not like being alone as an extrovert and all, but other times, she feels that it is actually peaceful. After all, this is the one place she can count on to be alone to think and reflect without interruptions.
Although this changed when Tobirama requested that she spend nights at the Senju Compound. Not one to say no to some constant company, Naruto had agreed and stayed over at his place when asked. She naturally assumed that she would get a separate bedroom or a guest room, seeing as how big the house was when she stayed over.
She was wrong. Of course, being well-known for her naiveté, she figured she would sleep in the futon and Tobirama gets the bed. After all, there is no reason to assume they would share the bed. She was just a guest after all. If worse comes to worst, she can just go back to her apartment in the middle of the night.
Eventually, however, the company soon made its way to bedtime. Tobirama practically ordered that he and the younger girl would sleep in the same bed almost every night and wouldn't take no for an answer.
Even if Naruto somehow managed to get back to her own apartment before Tobirama asked her to stay the night or sleep at the futon before Tobirama's bedtime, she would later wake up in Tobirama's bed after being taken there while asleep. This had been going on so often that the blonde almost saw her own apartment as more of a daytime hideout than anything else.
Unfortunately for Naruto, her problems were just starting. From the very first night that the couple spent sleeping in the same bed, the blonde learned some things that made this new sleeping arrangements more than just a nuisance.
One was Tobirama is actually clingy, which often caused quite a bit of discomfort to Naruto. After all, Naruto had the habit of tossing and turning in bed. She was a hyperactive girl after all, and this applies to when sleeping as well.
While this wouldn't be a problem when sleeping alone, Tobirama prevented this from happening and Naruto found herself trying to fidget while finding a comfortable sleeping position. Tobirama may not look it, but he had surprising strength even when asleep, essentially trapping Naruto. If anything, Tobirama tightened his grip if he felt Naruto moving and at one point, Naruto thought she was going to suffocate.
The second problem with this was that Naruto had the habit of going to the bathroom in sporadic periods and having your bladder about to burst wasn't exactly comfortable especially since you're unable to go to the bathroom due to the aforementioned partner hindering your movements to get out of his grip, never mind make a trip to the bathroom.
After all, she learnt the hard way during that sports relay that Shadow Clones actually don't relieve your bladder for you.
It didn't really help that Tobirama was a fairly deep-sleeper, not awoken by any of Naruto's struggling movements. After all, he had security seals alerting him to any danger so he wasn't too worried about being caught off-guard.
With this in mind, one could see why Naruto actually preferred sleeping in her own apartment or even the futon. She would have tried harder to persuade Tobirama to let her get back to her own apartment to sleep or sleep on the futon, if it wasn't for his most powerful weapon. The glare that could cow any shinobi into doing his bidding.
Seeing as how she wouldn't be able to escape her boyfriend in the night, the Jinchūriki had decided to find solutions to these problems. Like deciding to have the last water intake hours before bedtime instead of immediately before bed and making his shifting more subtle.
Unfortunately, there was still one more problem and Naruto couldn't exactly find a solution to it. The two liked to wake up at different times. Tobirama was a morning person and would wake up in what Naruto called 'an ungodly hour', but Naruto liked to sleep in for as long as she could. Tobirama would wake her up along with him, whether she likes it or not and more often than not, she finds herself going through the day feeling sleepy.
Truth be told, the young blonde had often tried to find a way to keep herself awake while in this situation, but was unable to find anything. Due to her being a Jinchūriki, she burns through calories easily and as a result, caffeinated drinks such as coffee don't help in the slightest.
'I better find a way to get back to my own apartment and have some decent rest.' Naruto thought as she yet again was still at the Senju Compound an hour before bedtime. 'I need to find an opportunity to get back to my apartment because I'm not getting enough sleep!'
While Naruto was thinking about what to do, she snapped her fingers. That's it! Why didn't she think of that? With that, she made a Kage Bunshin, and snuck out of the Senju Compound, running at full speed back to her apartment. All the while, she was dismissing Kurama, who told her that it wasn't going to work.
Mentally congratulating herself for the plan, she finally reached home, stretched out in her own bed at the apartment and drifted off to sleep.
However, she was awoken when she tried to stretch out her arms but couldn't move. When she opened her eyes, she saw that she was in Tobirama's bed with an unamused Tobirama watching her, arms folded. When she looked down, she realized that Tobirama had wrapped their blanket around her body very tightly.
"What makes you think you can use Kage Bunshin to trick me?" Tobirama raised a brow. Naruto mentally cursed. She momentarily forgot he was the creator of the Kage Bunshin, of course he would have had a way to tell between a shadow clone and the real deal.
"You better have a good explanation." Tobirama's tone was ominous.
"You see…" Naruto invented wildly. "I thought I was imposing on you too much since…I don't live here with you, so…I decided to go home?"
"Is that how it is?" The Nidaime asked, unfolding his arms.
"Er…Yes?" Naruto was nervous. What was Tobirama about to do?
"Alright then…" Tobirama straightened up. "From now on, you'll live with me."
"WHAT?" Naruto was horrified. "Wait, but…!" That was her safe haven, her sanctuary.
Tobirama wasn't listening, and said, "I'm going to your apartment to pack up your stuff and moving them here. But before I leave…" He placed a seal tag on the blanket.
"What's this?" Naruto asked, looking down at the seal.
"Just a precaution to make sure that you'll be here when I get back. Don't want you running away while I'm moving your stuff." Tobirama gave a smirk, before giving his girlfriend a kiss and petting her on the head.
"Don't worry, I'll be back soon." Something about his expression told her she's going to get it when he comes back as he teleported away.
After Tobirama was gone, Naruto started to struggle against the blanket, but was unable to free herself. Thanks to the seal tag, her chakra was suppressed, enough to make sure she was unable to get out of the blanket. Furthermore, the blanket seemed to be sturdier under the seal tag's influence.
Tsunade, who lived nearby heard her screams and went over to the window to check what was going on. When Naruto noticed, she immediately saw an opportunity to being rescued.
"Tsunade baa-chan, Tobirama wrapped this blanket around me and I can't get out! Help me out here!"
Tsunade gave a blank stare at Naruto before chuckling. However, she said, "Sorry, Naruto. I don't want to risk my granduncle's wrath. He's scarier than my grandfather."
"Traitor!" Naruto huffed as the gambler walked off, presumably to the Hokage Tower.
She started to wonder if Kurama could help her think of a way out of here, but her hopes were pre-emptively crushed.
'Sorry, kit. Don't have a way out without destroying the house.' Kurama shrugged in her subconscious. 'Besides, you brought this upon yourself. Next time if you're that tired, just take naps or something.'
"How could you leave me to suffer?" The blonde cried, giving up on escaping her imprisonment on Tobirama's bed and awaited whatever punishment Tobirama had in store once he comes back.
BP: I had this idea for a while and initially wanted to write this with Pakura Ameyuri (an OC of mine) from the PAL Series in mind, with Ash Ketchum from Pokémon as the victim.
However, I decided to change the fandom to Naruto as I wanted to start writing Naruto fics.
The concept of this is that a person that seems the ideal lover to everyone isn't always the case and the story would focus on problems while dealing with Tobirama who seems perfect at first glance, but when you really get to know him…
The chapters are not going to get too long like my other fics and would be similar to War for Ash. Also, this story will get updated when I run out of ideas in other stories or when I have ideas, so it won't exactly be regular.
As for why I chose this pairing, well, because I didn't want to change a lot, I had to find a person that is most similar to Pakura Ameyuri personality and habit wise. After consideration, I chose Tobirama. Besides, who else is as dense as Ash Ketchum? Naruto.
Also, I didn't want to do a too common pairing or a pairing that is too obvious. So I decided to go with a rare pairing that no one would expect. After all, what kind of writer would I be if I don't take the plunge?
