-Prologue-

Seha Lee was an avid gamer. He loved gaming to the extent his mother Ji-soo Seo had confiscated all of his video games multiple times. For a normal household, this would not be a problem. However, this was not a normal household. Ji-Soo Seo was the strongest active closer in Korea, capable of singlehandedly destroying entire countries if she felt so inclined.

Her son Seha was no joke either. If not for the fact that he would rather play video games and talk online all day, he could very well rival the strongest A rank closers at the tender age of fourteen. After all, he was the son of the "Queen of Korea", and the apple didn't fall very far from the tree.

His mother had a very large amount of money saved up for him in the event something happened to her in a dimensional gate or god forbid she was assassinated. Little did she know, she would be the one looking for him.

Ji-Soo Seo was a tall woman with long silvery-white hair that flowed down her back glinting like strands of diamond in the sun. Her sharp yellow eyes set perfectly in her healthy unblemished light skin. She wore a long black track jacket that was open in the front revealing a pristine white tank top that was slightly stretched by her fairly large breasts. Her track pants were black with white stripes down both sides on the outer side. She wore black Adidas running shoes with white stripes and was looking fondly at her son.

No matter what gaming addiction he had, he was still her pride and joy and she would give him the world. That was not to say she would spoil him rotten, but she would be very lenient with him.

Seha Lee was a rather average-looking Korean boy. He had not inherited his mother's white hair, but he did keep her sharp looks. From the way his face was built to his very body itself, he had her figure. Minus the breasts of course. He had soft black hair he left slightly messy and had inherited her yellow eyes. He was rather slim, but in shape, with very little if any excess weight. He wore a black t-shirt and black jogging shorts. Resting on his naked feet were black sandals that he wore around the house. In his hand was a portable game console in the shape of a foot-long slim silver box. On the back of it was a lamb's head engraved in fine lines.

"Seha, I'm going out for some running, I expect you to go pick up the groceries for me. The list is on the table" Ji-Soo requested her son who sucked his teeth in response.

"But mom, can't we have a butler or someone else do it? I'm busy with my game" Seha argued, failing to change his mother's mind. He was lying on one of the gray and white striped living room couches the long way, with his head resting on the soft armrest.

"You know I can talk to U.N.I.O.N to have them stop providing you those right? Besides, I can't have you becoming lazy on me" She responded, a satisfied smile on her face. Her son was strong, far stronger than any other kid his age, but his glaring weakness was that he was terrible at arguing and lying. This was almost a ritual by this point. Whenever his mother went out in the morning she would have him pick up some groceries or go to a store or some other task. She certainly could hire someone to do such a job, but she had to instill at least some discipline into her son.

"Yes, mom...I'll go do it in a bit" He sulked before going back to his game console that resumed the sounds of the fighting game he was enjoying at the moment.

"That's my boy. I'll be back in five or so hours okay. Bye-bye," She said with a little laugh as she walked out of the room to go on her morning run.

Seha played his console game for a good twenty more minutes before he set it down on the frosted glass coffee table right in front of the couch. It was time he played a more serious game. He needed to warm his brain up paying something lighter before playing the DMMO-RPG called YGGDRASIL he had been playing lately.

In it he was a High Human that looked very much like himself in real life, straight down to the signature weapon he and his mother used in battles against dimensional monsters. The Gun Blade. It was a long bastard sword that could open at the tip to be used as a gun with many modes of fire. However, like in real life, he preferred the rough and tumble melee style of smashing, slashing, and stabbing.

His class was Elemental Striker, a class as close to copying his real-life fighting style as possible. It was a very attack-oriented class, providing a plethora of attack styles and hax-like abilities. As a min-max, he had spared none of his mother's willingly given money on ironing out everything that didn't fit right and compensating for any weaknesses he may have had. If he were to guess where in the tiers of players he would be, he would be in the middle of the high-end players. Not as strong as a World Champion or Hellflame Magus, but certainly above role-playing or non-min-maxed builds.

He had the standard resistances one at end game must have like time-stop resistance, instant death immunity, poison immunity, low level magical and melee damage immunity, resistance to extreme temperatures, Resistance to soul manipulation, and existence erasure by default, but he also had other niche resistances alongside that.

He was part of a medium-sized guild ran by his friend Sylvie who rarely came on anymore other than for events and to maintain the guild's functions. She had grown out of gaming and had taken up a job as a Closer for the Black Lambs team in Gangnam. As such, she gave him the rights of the guild master in the case she could no longer log in. She was a friend of his from school which his mother had practically forced him to attend, being one of the only people in the world capable of handling him.

Picking up his headgear and walking back to the couch, he put it on and started up the connection.

Arriving at the place he had left off, he opened his eyes to the virtual world. He was in the middle of the armory of the sky island the guild owned. It was based on a futuristic look, with sleek titanium-colored metal buildings looking out of a science fiction movie dotting the two-mile-wide island fortress. Sylvie had gone through a futuristic sci-fi phase along with her friends who ran the guild with her, and such they built the island base like this, having farmed many days gathering the resources and components for the creation of said island.

The island had air and land-based defenses, legions of mid-level combat robots, and unmanned aircraft among quite a few different layers of anti-scrying, bombardment, magical and mundane defenses.

However, for all the sci-fi and futuristic themes, Sylvie was still a girl at the time and had spent quite a long time making beautiful outfits and maids for the island. Not just that, there were golems, butlers, and finely crafted magical creatures the guild decided on adding. However, Seha being the brains of the guild did most if not all of the coding for the island and NPCs. As someone who enjoyed mange, manhwa, and to a lesser extent manhua, he of course had included flavor text in the coding that would give him absolute loyalty and difference by any and all denizens of the island. It was a joke, of course. These isekai situations only happened in stories, manhwas, and novels.

Still, he had to indulge himself that much, else he could not call himself a true fan of the genre.

The armory around him was massive, long lines of rifles, blades, vehicles, and mech suits lined the walls and stands in neat rows for a long line.

However, before he could really do anything and red box with a dark red border popped up in his hud saying that the game was going into emergency maintenance in two minutes for a special releasing update.

He watched the minutes tick down to zero before the hud went black, however, seconds later his sight returned. He could hear the fain ticking and whirring of machines. The armory around him looked much better than it had before the update. Almost as if it was real. Granted, the game already had stunning graphics, but this was a massive step up in realism.

Hell, he could smell the metal and the faint smell of gasoline in the distance. The smooth metal floor beneath him shone warmly from the lights on the cieiling.

Tak

Tak

Tak

Tak

Behind him, he hears the sound of metal on metal. It is like the footsteps of a light being.

Turning to see who is arriving, he is greeted by a Maid golem.

She looks to be human showing very little other than two lines in her synthetic skin stretching from the bottom of her eyes, down her cheek, and back around her neck. Her silver eyes are bright and cheerful and her mouth is in a smile. She wears a black maid outfit and a white bonnet on her silver hair. Her synthetic skin is pale white and flawless. In her hands is a large tablet she furiously typed on as she approached Seha.

When she got within two meters of Seha, she spoke in a light but warm voice as she bowed deeply.

"I Celica 26 Greet the supreme master" She stayed deep in her bow after finishing the greeting, waiting for further orders from the supreme master.

Seha was taken aback. NPCs did not act with such realism before the update. To think an update that took a few seconds could allow such an action.

"Tell me, Celica. When was the last time Sylvie was online" Seha said as he walked closer to the bowing maid.

"My database says the last time Master Sylvie had entered the island was ten days ago" She spoke reverently to Seha who put his hand to his chin in thought. This whole situation was strange. He knew for certain these NPCs were incapable of this kind of conversation.

"Get up, I don't like people bowing like that for so long," Seha said, motioning to the maid to get up. In the game, he was rather indifferent to it, but now when everything seemed so vibrant, so real, it felt different. Almost real.

"No. This cant be" He says, his eyes going wide, completely ignoring the panicking maid who is muttering how could she dare not bow to the supreme master.

"Menu" He said as he raised his hand to go to the menu screen.

He scanned it for the button he was looking for. This was the sure way to find out if this was what he thought.

And just as he thought, the log-out button was not there.

"Celica, come here and give my right shoulder a massage, I'm feeling a little stiff" Seha said, looking pointedly at the maid who snapped out of her panic and bowed deeply again before smiling broadly.

"It would be my greatest honor to massage the supreme master, I will keep this in my databanks forever," She said, her joy uncontainable.

"Right" Seha said as he lowered his right shoulder a little and took off his cosmetic jacket, revealing a muscular shoulder beneath, under a black T-shirt.

The maid gently massaged his shoulder to the best of her capabilities, and it felt nice. This confirmed it. While this wasn't a completely sexual act in and of itself, the developers would not have allowed such an action, also the feeling in his shoulder was unlike anything the game could provide.

"No way. I got isekai'd. Mom is going to kill me" he said with a resigned sigh.

Today was just one big screw-up.

Oh well, at least he had his guild.

Two very worrisome hours later, Seha was sitting at the bar in the guild hall drinking a soda, the blue liquid quickly disappearing from the glass bottle. These sodas were not just normal sodas. They normally were used to be temporarily immune to the fear debuff from certain monsters.

Seha had thought about what he was going to do now. After questioning the flustered Celica, he had gained important clarification. Right now the guild was working on its own, thanks to the setting that allows the Island to automatically consume the required resources for running all of it's functions.

He had taken a bit of time to compose himself, but afterwards, he opened the guild control console and looked through the information presented. The resources that the guild required to function properly would not run out for a very long time due to the constant farming and relatively low sustained costs.

Next, he looked at the guild roster.

What he saw was unfortunately what he expected. Everyone was showing up as offline. Even those that had been online right before the update. Now he had to deal with the guild on his own.

This was so troublesome.

Seha sighed, putting the empty bottle down as he felt his stress and fear relax into a warm composure thanks to the drinks effect.

The bartender, a short woman in her mid twenties with a thin frame and short silver hair took the empty bottle from the counter to dispose of it. She wore a black beret and a ceremonial red military jacket with black ceremonial pants lined with gold trim Her large gray eyes looked upon Seha with worry. Her black gloves spotless.

"Master Seha, what is bringing you down?" She asked, her light voice laced with concern.

"I'm on my own. I have so much work to do and mom is going to kill me if I don't get home soon. But don't worry Celine, everything is going to be fine" Seha replied, his confidence returning to his eyes.

"Besides, I'm sure even Gremory will be looking for me eventually, and she's someone you want in your corner when it comes down to it" Seha continued, standing up from his barstool.

"I'm not familiar with Gremory but I trust your will. Knowing your mom, she'd tear down the entire planar gate if she doesn't find you. Don't worry so much" Celine reassured Seha, having absolute faith in Sehas mom. She clearly remembered all the times the masters would sit at the bar, eating and discussing their lives.

Seha was a being of godly power and he always spoke about his mom as someone equal or even stronger than himself, if such a thing was possible.

Then, Seha's smile dropped and he turned back to the bar and sat back on the stool.

"That's the problem. Mom would destroy all of east Asia to find me and I don't want her to do that. So first I need to find out just where I am. No, where we are" Seha smiled as he looked at the bartender npc Celine. The one time the guild got J to play the game, he only did it if they made a npc based off of the Union psychic Celine and to make her a bartender. So here she was. Sylvie disapproved, being a bit of a prude, but wouldn't stop J, after all he was the unspoken leader of the team and everyone liked him.

Now, Seha was happy that she was programmed to be warm and soft spoken. She had certainly boosted his confidence.

"Perhaps you would like to speak with Yuri?" Celine asked Seha, knowing how he liked that particular Npc. Since Yuri Seo had not been interested in playing the game, the members from the black lambs had pooled together their experience and resources to make a replica of Yuri as an NPC.

"Yeah, I should do that" Seha said, getting up for a second time before turning back and looking at Celine silently for a while.

"Master?" Celine asked as she cocked her head to the side confused but very happy the master was taking in her form.

"Oh, sorry! I'm still kinda confused" Seha said as he realized he had been staring at Celine for over a minute.

"Don't apologize, Master. I enjoy your gaze" Celine said, her cheeks slightly flushed red.

"Okay, well I'm going now" Seha said before leaving the cozy bar.

Climbing up the stairs that led down to the bar, he was greeted at the top by one of the NPCs that he was considerably embarrassed at seeing. It was one of his creations.

It was a young boy that stood barely up to his chest. It looked like him, but ten years old. He had always wanted a little brother, but his father had left before he even knew what he looked like. So there was no chance of a younger brother. So he mad one in the game.

"Big Brother! There you are. Miss Yuri said you were going to be here. I was scared you were gone like everyone else" The boy said quickly, tears of joy in his eyes as he jumped up to hug his big Brother.

"Hey Jin, I'm not going anywhere" Seha said, hugging the npc back. Even though he knew the boy was just a NPC, he couldn't help but be nice. He felt strong responsibility for the boy being his creator.

Jumping off of Seha, Jin tugged on his white tee and urged him forward.

"Yuri wanted me to come get you for her" Jin said happily.

"Alright, take me to her. Where is she" Seha asked, already formulating a guess.

"She's in the gym" Jin replied.

"Well let's go" Seha broke into a jog with Jin beside him.

The two ran through the island into the recreational center near by.

Entering the gym, he was greeted by various enhanced machines. The sound of K-Pop playing over the speakers.

On a treadmill that was revolving at speeds much faster than any human could see, was a young woman that looked to be in her late teens. She had long silky black hair, light skin, a sharp face, and bright energetic blue eyes. Her toned body and firm breasts bouncing in her white t-shirt and blue running shorts as she ran on the machine that displayed numbers exceeding supersonic speeds by a large margin.

"Oppa! You came" She winked at him as the treadmill slowed to a stop and she lightly jumped off and ran over to him. Picking him up like one might pick up a small animal, she spun him around before putting him down.

"Please don't manhandle me like that again" Seha requested Yuri.

"No promises" Yuri grinned widely, her bright attitude on full display.

"So, what do you need?" Seha asked, curious as to what she wanted.

Yuri's grin faded away to be replaced by a serious look.

"We're no longer in Midgard. From what I saw, were above an unknown world" She responded with a creasing of her brow.

"So, do you want to explore?" Seha asked. Yuri was one of the Level one hundred NPCs the guild had created. She used a katana and dual pistols as her main weapons and had a very agility based build. Similar to Seha's, but she used her physical superiority much more than her weapons.

"Oppa! Let's go take a ship down and look around. I'll take care of you, don't worry about a thing" the npc excitedly urged him. Internally he cringed. If the real Yuri were to see this npc, she would have cringed even more than himself.

"Well, I guess we can try" Seha agreed.

"Yay! Oppa is the best! Let's go get ready" Yuri responded excitedly before running past him and out the door.

Sighing Seha questioned just what he got himself into.

Okay that was the prologue. I rewrote and extended it a bit. I figured Seha fit perfectly, given his gaming addiction. I could have just had him enter the overlord verse through a malfunction in the planar gate, or some prank by Gremory. The possibilities are countless. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed. The next chapter is in the works. It should be out soon TM.

This is before the cannon events of Overlord by quite a few years so Ainz won't be arriving for quite a bit, if he arrives at all Wich I'm not sure if he will.

If you have any questions, feel free to review or dm me.
