It is a lovely afternoon in Springfield... Not for Bart Simpson, though; as he's running down the street being chased by the Springfield bullies, Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearney.

"Get back here, you little wimp!" Jimbo shouted to Bart with anger.

"You're gonna be mincemeat once we catch you!" Dolph shouted to Bart as well.

Bart ran into a narrow alleyway between two buildings.

"He went through that alley." Said Jimbo.

In the alley, Bart knocked over some trash cans to slow the bullies down as he kept on running. The bullies ran into the alley and they see the knocked-over trash cans in their way and they moved them out of their way. Bart ran out the other end of the alley and he ran down the street; then he stops.

"I need to hide somewhere." He said and he sees a theater beside him. "Ah-hah!" He cried and he went inside the theater.

The bullies ran out of the alley and they stopped and looked towards the direction where Bart had ran and they did not see him anywhere. They began walking down the street, looking around for Bart.

"Wonder where he went to." Said Kearney.

"No clue. We'll find him." Jimbo told him as they pass by the theater not knowing that Bart is hiding inside the theater as he peeks from the side of the adjacent double doors looking through the glass through another glass of another set of adjacent double doors watching them pass by.

"Phew! Glad I lost them." Bart said with relief and then he suddenly hears the sound of tap dancing. He follows the sound into the auditorium area that's empty and he sees an adolescent girl on the stage with a gray skin complexion, long, black hair, a white, collared, short sleeve shirt with a pink bow tie, a purple vest, a lavender pink knee-length skirt with a picture of a purple treble clef on the side, white socks, and black 3-inch heel pumps with metal taps underneath. It is the human Octavia Melody, and she's tap dancing. Bart smiled with interest and he approaches the stage. Once he got near the stage, he rests an elbow on the edge of the stage, watching Octavia's dancing. Octavia notices Bart and she stops dancing.

"Oh. Hello there." She said. "Can I help you?"

"No, not really." Bart said. "I just wanna say that was some nice dancing you was doing there."

"Oh, well thank you, I appreciate it." Octavia said. "I'm rehearsing my tap dance performance for the talent show this evening."

"Cool. You like tap dancing?" Bart asked her.

"Uh-huh. It's very interesting." She said.

"You must be really good at it." Bart commented.

"I am." Octavia said. "Well, this isn't what I normally do for a living, I'm actually a cello player."

"Oh, so you're a cello player?" Bart questioned.

"Uh-huh. I've been playing the cello since I was younger. I've been practicing it almost on a daily basis."

"Nice." Bart said.

"Mm-hmm. So now, I'm doing something different for a change; which is tap dancing." Octavia said and she tapped a foot.

"Nothing wrong with that." Bart said.

"What's your name?" Octavia asked Bart.

"The name's Bart Simpson." He said.

"A pleasure to meet you, Bart Simpson. My name's Octavia Melody."

"And a pleasure to meet you too, Octavia Melody." Bart said.

"So, what brings you here?" Octavia asked again.

"I was...trying to find a bathroom somewhere and I had walked into this theater to use it. And when I had got out of the bathroom, I heard the sound of tap dancing. So I followed the sound in here, and that's when I saw you on the stage doing the dancing." Bart exaggerated, not wanting to mention about his bully issue.

"Oh, OK." Octavia said. "Would you like to see some of my tap dancing moves?" She asked him.

"I would love to." Bart said.

"Great. Let me show you what I can do."

Octavia began doing some tap dancing moves which consists a back essence, a buffalo turn, and a Maxi Ford; along with some kicking and hopping. She stops and she looks at Bart with a smile.

"Not bad." Bart said as he applauded her.

"Thanks." Octavia said. "How would you like to come see me tap dance in the talent show this evening—right here in this theater? What do you say?" She asked Bart.

"Sure." He said.

"Great. See you this evening." She told him.

That evening, at the theater, a faint sound of electronic music is heard from inside. Inside, in the auditorium, a guy, wearing a tracksuit, is onstage breakdancing with electro breakdance music playing. After doing a spinning top move, the break dancer leaps up on his feet with a pose as the music ends. The audience, including Bart, who is sitting in the front row seat, applauded and some of the audience made whooing noises. The break dancer started walking towards the offstage right wing area (the stage's right) holding up a double peace gesture to the audience and then the curtain closes. Over at the downstage right area, a man, wearing a black tuxedo, is standing behind a podium with a microphone attached to it.

"OK. Next up, we have Octavia Melody with her tap dance performance." He announced via microphone.

"Alright!" Bart quietly said with enthusiasm, feeling pumped up.

The curtain opened back up and an uplifting, jazzy piano tune started playing and Octavia emerged from the offstage right wing area, wearing a sparkly, purple tube top, a white collar around her neck with a black bow tie, a black mini flared skirt, and the tap pump shoes she had on earlier, doing a walking flap move towards the center of the stage while motioning her hands from left to right repeatedly. Bart became astounded over her ravishing appearance.

"Ay caramba!" He exclaimed quietly.

Octavia does the same tap dancing moves she showed Bart earlier. She also does other moves like an Irish, a drawback, a waltz clog, and a trench—broadway and hoofer style. Bart is enjoying Octavia's performance so far. As Octavia's performance is about to come to a close, she does a rapid tapping move and she went down on one knee with her arms jutted out sideways as the music ends. The audience began applauding, followed by whoos and whistles. Octavia stands up and she takes a bow. She noticed Bart sitting in the front row seat and she gave him a wink and Bart gave Octavia a thumbs-up.

A couple of hours had passed and it is now nighttime. The crowd, including Bart, are exiting the theater and Bart walks down the street.

"H'oh, man, that was a great show!" Bart said with amusement.

"Well, well, well." Came a familiar voice that made Bart stopped walking and he slowly turned around with fear and saw the Springfield bullies, with Jimbo punching the palm of his hand with his fist and Dolph and Kearney with their arms crossed.

"H'oh, no!" Bart groaned.

"We've finally got you now." Jimbo chuckled sinisterly as he, Dolph, and Kearney approach him.

Bart gulps nervously and he cringes with his eyes closed. Just when the bullies were about to torment Bart, a pump shoe flew right at the back of the bullies' heads boomerang style, knocking them out cold as they fell to the ground. Bart opened his eyes and saw Octavia, wearing a black jacket and still wearing the same outfit—minus the bow tie—when she was onstage and carrying a black duffel bag on her shoulder, holding the tap pump shoe in her hand with a valiant look on her face.

"Octavia!" Bart happily cried.

Octavia puts the shoe back on and then she and Bart approach each other.

"You okay, Bart?" She asked him.

"Yeah, I'm okay." He said. "Thanks for that."

"No problem. And thank YOU for coming."

"Anytime." Bart said. "Also, you were pretty good up there."

"Thanks." Octavia said. "Next time on the talent show I'll play the cello."

"I'll be looking forward to that." Bart said.

"Yeah... I'm about to head on home now. Hopefully we'll see each other again one day."

"Same here. Take care." Bart told her and Octavia gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Later." She told him as she took her leave.

Bart had became dumbfounded from the kiss Octavia gave him as he placed a hand on his cheek—the one she kissed him on.

"Wow." He said and he continued on walking down the street back in the opposite direction leaving behind the fallen bullies. He returns back to the bullies.

"Scumbags!" Bart taunted and then he left.
