Chapter 1: Green Hills in a New Home
It wasn't an abnormal day. The sky was filled with lights sparkling with neon gradiants of bright pink to a deep lazy lavander. The clouds? Broken trails drifting like bubbles in a luxury bath, clumping together, breaking appart, then dissapearing into the abyus. down below was a young tangerine hedgehog, laying in the almost blindingly bright green grass. this hedgehog, in an off-white dress with cadnium red polkadots, is the protagonist. "Sevie?"
The tangerine hedgehog sat up and looked behind her. It was someone she hadn't seen in a long time. Someone she hoped she would never see again. She gave them a soft smile. How long had it been? Months? Years? She wasn't sure. She opened her mouth to respond...
Ten years Earlier
Sevie stepped out into the train station, a smile on her face and a single suitcase in her hand. The wind whisped past her face, a pleasnt breeze she almost couldn't beleive was real. Indeed, she had arrived in her new town.
Indeed it was made immediately apparent that this town was much different then her old home with her parents in the big city, scattered Mobians going about their lives almost too peacefully, walking about with almost no care. She even saw different chou's she hadn't gotten to see before. The station itself was open- air, the bright grass and brick road paths leading straight down the little villa's shopping district. With a casual step, she started walking into town.
Eventually, she found herself to a small house, slowing her pace as she looked at it for the first time in person. It was bigger than she expected, the pictures she saw from her family friend really not doing it justice. It was small, the bright siding shingles recently painted a light powder blue with a windowed door, a lattace of ivy running up the side. Getting her house key out of her pocket, she went to open her door.
Inside she huffed as she met a large wall of boxes, her furniture moved from her childhood home. Closing the door behind her, she slumped hown and sat on the floor. 'Not today.' she muttered.
Shaking her head, she decided to break in the new bathroom and take a shower. Opening her suitcase, she pulled out a white floural sundress and her bathroom supplies. Opening the bathroom door, she started to run a bath. She peeled off the hot, dirty clothes from the long train ride, tossing them to the tile. Looking in the mirror, her quills and fur were tangled and sweaty, she blushed from embarassment realiseing what a mess she must have looked like at the train station, she hoped no one would recognize her.
She lowered herself down into the bathtub, the hot water melting away the stress of moving as she leaned back and let out a long sigh. After rinsing off her coconut scented conditioner, she wrapped herself in a towl and drained the tub then walked to the mirror, blow drying her quills back into her soft natural wavey bob.
Throwing on her sundress and slipping on some white house shoes, she felt refreashed and ready to start unpacking and organizing her new life. As she walked out of the bathroom, she suddenly heard a knocking at the door.
