After a make-out session, Rountree pulled Fatima onto the bed. He grabbed her folder of drawings and smiled. He wanted to see what else she had done, but he didn't want ro pressure her. She smiled and opened it. There was a detailed drawing of a sunset with some dolphins jumping out of the water, an underwater scene, and a beautiful rose. All were colored perfectly, using mainly watercolors with pens for detail. Then she pulled out another drawing, a detailed gun firing a bullet. She revealed three more, a charcoal drawing of the team, a brown and white puppy, and an incredibly detailed knife.
"Fatima, these are beautiful. Have you ever considered selling these?" he asked.
"Not really. Actually, Leilani got me into art. We used to spend hours together, drawing and gossiping," she chuckled.
"That's pretty awesome. You should sell them, though. For real. You could probably get a good amount for all of these," he said, hugging her gently.
"I don't really want to sell them, honestly. It's kind of the way I remember her, you know? It was our thing," she said quietly. Rountree realize just how much it meant that she shared something like that with him. He smiled.
"I think you should do whatever you want with them. Do you have any more? I would love to see them," he said shyly. Fatima smiled and got up. She went into her closet and pulled out a clear plastic box. The lid had a painting of another sunset, complete with glitter on the ocean. "That's beautiful," he commented. She blushed and opened the box. They spent the next few hours looking through drawings, paintings, and even a few small sculptures. Rountree loved how she was so passionate, how she explained a story behind almost every drawing. Then she pulled out a canvas with a full-color drawing of her and Leilani. She immediately started crying and hugged Rountree.
