CHAPTER 1: VISIONS

Obi-wan Kenobi lay asleep on his bed, when he herd a cry. "Master?" The cry was soft and quiet. "Master?" The cry was more loud, more fearful. "Master?" This cry pushed Kenobi out of the realm of sleep, groggily he sat up and look to the one who was calling for him. "Anakin?" He said looking at the time. "It's two o'clock in the morning."

"Master... I had another vision." Anakin said with a quiet voice. Obi-wan sighing, garbed his lightsaber which had laid next to him. Igniting it he held it up it see Anakin's face thorough the pitch black night.

"Anakin..." Obi-wan sigh and put his hand on his face. This was the 5th night in a row Anakin had woken him up. "Sit down and tell me what happened this time."

It took a few minutes to tell him what happened. It was the same only the events were switch around. His mother dies, he turns to the dark side, kills me and the rest of the Jedi. And everything falls in a void of darkness forever. The end. It sounded to Obi-wan that Anakin's fears were playing into his subconscious.

"Anakin, I told you this for the past 5 nights. You are not having visions, there are just your fears playing into your dreams while you sleep. Okay?"

Anakin protested , "But master! There visions! I know they are!"

"Anakin you are over tired. These are not visions. You need to understand this. Now go back to sleep."

"But master-"

"Back to sleep. Now."

"Master!"

The way Anakin had yelled made Obi-wan jump. Taking a deep breath he said, "Yes Anakin?"

Silence. Complete silence. The seconds of silence, turned into minutes.

"Yes Anakin?" Obi-wan said wanting to know what his Padawan wanted. "Anakin I can't help you if you don't tell me want you want."

Anakin said barely audible "I know there visions."

Obi-wan flicked off his lightsaber, getting up Obi-wan called his cloak to his hands, calmly saying to Anakin. "Come on lets be off."

Anakin sat there in confusion. "Master?"

With a calm smile Obi-wan told him. "I want to show you something." He started walking out of his room. The other pair of foot steps told him Anakin was following him.

"Woah..." Anakin said with amazement. "You've never shown me this place."

"The Room Of A Thousands Fountains." Obi-wan explained. "By far one of my favorite places in the temple." Obi-wan smiled at his Padawan's amazement. The room did not have a thousands fountains, but it was the best place to go of you want to be alone or to find peace. "Come on." He walked in.

Minutes later there were standing at an extremely old tree. When Obi-wan said. "From what I'm told this tree is even older than Master Yoda."

Anakin looked up at him. "I didn't think something could live that long."

"Somethings, but not a lot-"

"Master?"

Obi-wan knew that Anakin didn't mean to cut hime off like that. "Yes Anakin?"

"Why do somethings have longer life span then others?"

Obi-wan stood the for a moment before answering. "I really don't know Anakin. Some say they live longer because thats was how they adapted. Others say it was the will of of the Force."

"Can people live longer the what their life span should be?"

"Yes. And with that shorter."

"Like Qui-gon?"

Obi-wan stood there thinking about his old master. He had died when he was around 60. Qui-gon's dying wish was for him to teach Anakin. Coldly he said "Yes." Anakin went silent. Obi-wan knew why, this journey of Master and Apprentice didn't start well. They had a lot of fights, one was were Obi-wan had lost it...

Obi-wan felt a hot rage fly though him as he looked at the young boy.

"But Yoda-"

"MASTER YODA!" Which each passing second Obi-wan got more and more madder with the boy.

"But Master Yoda said-"

"Master Yoda isn't here!"

"H-he said that no one's ever really gone."

"Qui-gon dead! Something that you can't get though the thing you call your head!"

"H-he..." Tears started to come down the young boy's checks.

"Why are you crying!"

Nothing

"Answer me!"

The young boy just stood there crying in front of him. This should have been a sign to stop. But Obi-wan didn't care any more.

"Qui-gon is dead! He is never coming back! You-"

"At least he wanted you!" Anakin yelled.

Obi-wan laughed at that. "You don't get it! He only wanted me because his first Padawan failed. I was his way to coop with it. Once's he met with you he wanted to dump me because he found someone he actually care about and believed that something good can come out of you! I was pushed a side! When you showed up! He could have said anything when died! But no! It was about you! It's always been about

you! You just a stupid, dumb, reckless, arrogant, rude, powerless, hopeless CHILD!"

Anakin stood there looking at the floor the tears wouldn't stop, he open his mouth-

"Get out of my slight!" Obi-wan didn't want to see the young child's face ever again. "NOW!"

"Y-yes M-aster..." The boy turned and ran out.

Master... the bay called him Master?

That night Obi-wan lay on his bed. He couldn't stop thinking about what he had said to Skywalker. A new wave of guilt washed over him. He had lost it, all because the boy wanted to know more about Qui-gon.

"Master?" Obi-wan said out load to nobody. "Master I failed. I had lost it, and now- now I've probably just lost my Padawan. Master I know you thought I was ready, but I'm not. I never was. Master. I'm going to give him a new Master. One who will take care of him, teach him, and make sure his needs are filled. Master I've failed. I'm going to make sure he gets some sleep and then I'm going to tell him. At least he will be happy..."

Obi-wan walked into his Padawan's room. "Pad-"

"I thought you said that you never wanted to see my face again!"

Obi-wan stop were he was standing. "Padawan I understand that I am in no means to train you. Tomorrow morning I will make sure you find a new master, one is able to train you." He turn and started walking away from his Padawan when.

"S-so that's it. Y-your just giving me away! Just like that?" A new wave of tears had started to fall down his face. It was nonstop crying since the fight.

"For a reason. All we have been doing since Naboo is arguing. You need someone who knows how to train you, somebody-"

"But I don't somebody else! I want you!"

"What?" It didn't make sense to Obi-wan. How in the world did this 10 year old boy want him even after all he had said.

The boy who had been standing in front of him fell to his knees, crying extremely hard. Obi-wan knew what he wanted. Love. Something a Jedi wasn't a-load to do. But he knelt in front of the boy and put his arms around him. Moments later the boy was cradle in his arms crying. Obi-wan understand now, the boy had felt love, been loved and for someone to just ripe that away... He held the boy and waited in till he cried himself to sleep. Then Obi-wan laid him on his bed and put a blanket around him. Before falling asleep on the floor.

Obi-wan came back to the real world, he sat down in front of the tree as Anakin joined him he put his head on one of his shoulders. Obi-wan felt how tired his Padawan really was. Within seconds Anakin fell asleep.
