Hi everyone! I've been reading fanfiction for quite a long time now but I recently decided that I wanted to write my own one so here goes nothing. Just to let you know I'm not very good at tenses so if it's wrong in some places I apologise in advance. Other than that I will probably be updating once or twice a week. So I hope you enjoy the story, thanks for reading and it would mean a lot to me if you could review and tell me what you think. :)
Hold On - Chord Overstreet
"Let me take your hand, I'll make you right
I swear to love you're all my life
Hold on I still need you"
Ben breathed out slowly, feeling the adrenaline that had coursed through him during the fight seep away as he stepped towards her.
"It's time to let old things die. Snoke, Skywalker, the Sith, the Jedi, the rebels let it all die. Rey, I want you to join me, we can rule together and bring a new order to the galaxy" He said, his face an emotionless mask, never betraying the turmoil beneath. He needed her to say yes like he needed air.
He watched her hesitate; the fear and sadness in her eyes had him aching to go to her and pull her into his arms. Frantically, he searched for the right words to tell her how much she meant to him
"You have no place in this story, you come from nothing, you're nothing. But not to me." He said softly trying to convey how essential she was "Join me! Please!".
She stood there heart racing, as Kylo begged her to join him.
Confusion raged in her mind as she thought over her options. Everything she had done since she had left Jakku was for the resistance and if she chose him the resistance would die.
But if she chose the resistance she would lose him. She would lose Kylo, and she refused to lose the first person who understood her.
Slowly she walked towards him, lifting her hand to his, she reached out her fingers and grabbed onto his hand. Her breath caught in her throat as electricity crackled through her and they both sighed at the feeling of connectedness that washed over them as they stood in the throne room surrounded by bodies and holding hands.
"Thank you," He whispered, as he pulled her towards him holding her close to his heart, trying to express how much her choosing him meant, how completely he wanted her to be his, how he lov- no that was too far he couldn't scare her off.
She leaned into his embrace feeling the hard planes of his chest despite the thick surcoat he wore and breathing in that scent that invaded her dreams more than she would like to admit.
They stood wrapped around each other lost in the moment before artillery and the sounds of shouting broke them out of their spell.
She lifted her head and looked up into his face "What now?"
"Now we figure this out"
"Together?"
"Together!"
Smiling, they grabbed onto each other's hands and walked out of the throne room ready to begin their rule over the first order, together.
