AN: This is actually the rewrite to the original prologue. The old one will have been deleted, as that one was extremely short. This is my first fanfic, so please review. If you do review, then review honestly, but try to be nice. Nobody likes a bully or an upstart know-it-all. And try to read all the way through. I do not like that this chapter has the majority of the views. That shows me that a bunch of people do not like this story. Just try to read all the way through.

For this chapter, since this is set in the time where Old English is most likely being used, the characters will speak and think in Old English. Only the regular text will be modern English.

Enjoy!

Prologue/Chapter 0: A New Friend and/or relationship

Artemis POV (A few days after becoming an Olympian)

Everything was a blur. That's how fast I was running. I relied on my instincts to help me navigate through the forest. All of a sudden, I sensed an aura. It was really strong, almost as strong as Poseidon, or even my father. I came to a stop next to where the aura was located. Everything was silent. Even the birds were silent. Suddenly, a figure jumped down in front of me. He had brown hair and dark eyes, he looked to be about 5' 10", and he wasn't very muscular. A boy.

"What is thy name, boy?" I asked with a sneer.

"My name is Zotikos. What is thy name?" He asked, kindness evident in his voice.

"My name is Artemis, but thou shall address me as Lady Artemis." I said seriously.

The boy, Zotikos, started laughing. "Why are thou laughing!?" I asked loudly, anger etched on my face.

"Thou art no master of mine, so I have no need to call thee Lady." He said with a smile.

Oh, he is so dead. "I am an Olympian goddess. I will give thou one more chance, boy. Show me some respect and bow to me, and I may forgive thee." I growled.

"Sorry, but I bow to no one. If thou want me to give thee some respect, then thou must first show me some respect." He said with annoyance in his voice.

"Thy gender is a race of filthy, disrespectful pigs and rapists. Thou deserve no such respect." I said.

He laughs and says, "Thou are a such a hypocrite."

"How am I the hypocrite?" I ask.

"Thou, right off the bat, showed me no respect, yet thou say my gender has no respect. That is hypercriticism." He said with a chuckle. "Like I said before, if thou want me to show thee some respect then show me some respect first, and my name is Zotikos, not boy."

"Fine." I said, anger evident in my voice. He flashed me a smile that made my heart race and said, "So, an Olympian?" He asks, still smiling. I nodded my head. He gets a thoughtful look on his face before asking, "When were thou added to the council?"

"A few days ago." I answered sheepishly. What is wrong with thee! I thought to myself. Thou art a hunter! Thou do NOT say things sheepishly! "Why do thee ask such a question?" I ask.

"I did not hear of thou becoming an Olympian. My news is a little outdated. I live out here, in these woods." He said, answering my question.

"Why art thou away from thy camp?" I ask curiously.

Zotikos POV

"I thought thou art a foe, instead thou turned out to be a friend." I answer.

"So now we're friends?" She asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Thou art acting friendly, aren't thee?" I ask. "That means thou art my friend, in my book." I say with a grin plastered on my face. I notice that she slightly blushes every time I smile or grin. The thought makes my heart flutter. What art these feelings? I ask myself.

"Now that I know that thou art no enemy, I must return to my camp. It was nice getting to know thee, Artemis." I say, noticing that the sky was starting to darken.

"It was nice meeting thee as well, Zotikos. I hope to see you again." She says, surprisingly, with a smile. With that said, she runs off in a different direction from where my camp was.

Line break (How is my Old English so far. It was easier than I thought it would be. Then again, the Titan's Curse is my favorite out of the 5-book series, so I guess it makes sense.)

It was nightfall when I finally returned to my camp. I walked into my tent and got on to my makeshift bed to go to sleep. When I finally managed to sleep, I dreamt of a certain silver-eyed goddess, smiling at me.

3 decades later

Artemis POV

It has been several decades since I met Zotikos in those woods. We met several more times and became really good friends. I created a hunt for women who have had horrible experiences with men. I made it so that they swear off men, unless they find a man that they truly love. My lieutenant, Zoe, is an excellent huntress. She is able to hold her own against a spar against me and she is an exemplary archer. Every huntress in my hunt hates men, with Zotikos being the only exception to that hatred.

Zotikos. The only man that can make my heart race. I have no idea what this means, but I think that I might be falling for him. He has filed out nicely these past years. He grew into a 6 foot even frame and he gained more muscles. He seemed to become more handsome the more I see him. What are thee thinking, Artemis! I chided myself.Thou art a maiden goddess, you can't be feeling these feelings!

Eventually I had to bring Zotikos to the council. When my father laid eyes on him, I knew that he felt Zotikos' powerful aura. He had demanded that Zotikos tell him who his parents were but Zotikos said that he didn't know. Zeus didn't buy it, but he let him go anyways.

A few years later

Zotikos POV

I think that I might be falling for Artemis, but I don't know. I mean, she is a maiden goddess, I can't fall in love with her because she just won't love me back.

I was visited by my mother in my dreams a few days ago. She told me of her identity and said that I couldn't tell anyone unless I could trust them with my life. My mother, Chaos, said that if Zeus were to get wind (Get it? No? I guess this is why I am still single) of who my parent was then he would kill me, that way he could keep his paranoid ass on the king's throne. I told Artemis that I knew who my mother was, but when she asked who it was, I told her that I couldn't tell her. She saddened but understood.

One Century Later

Life was going well. Me and Artemis started dating. We agreed not to tell anyone until we were ready. Of course, that didn't exactly go as planned. Two people found out. Hestia, because she was a motherly figure to me and figured out why I was happy, and Apollo, because he could see the future and saw us dating (stupid powers). Apollo had warned me that, if I broke her heart, I would be dead faster then I could say "Fuck."

After that was covered, everything was swell. Now I can look forward to an amazing life. I mean, what could go wrong? I got the girl, everything was peaceful, and the only thing I had to worry about was the Master Bolt.

AN: I hope y'all enjoyed this chapter I am sorry for all the time skips, but they seemed necessary to keep everything more spread out and realistic. Don't forget to let me know what you think of the story/chapter in a review!
