"You take care of him, Cortana." A black-colored Spartan-II designated Lucas-148 said as he watched John enter cryosleep. Cortana knew that The First Lieutenant was dying. He had protected Chief's body after the explosion and caught some shrapnel that had pierced through his armor. She gave him a solum nod.

The Spartan sat across from John's cryo chamber staring at John sad for having to leave another friend behind. You see Lucas-148 is also a Jumper. Someone who travels from one universe to another with little to no rest. He has been to so many worlds and lost or had to leave behind even more friends, lovers, or family members.

Lucas has been constantly fighting and is so very tired. The Covenant, Yuuki, The World Government, The Norse Gods, Malekith, Knull, The Great Holy Grail War, The Jedi, The Sith, The Daleks, The Wild Hunt, Voldemort, The Otsutsuki, Delilah, The Templars, The Humonculus, and Yanagisawa all enemies he has had to stop with only small periods of rest.

The Jumper is almost 4,500 years old and just wants a break. Oh, the Jumper knows he could never truly settle down, he is just not the kind of person to sit still, but a vacation would be nice. A Jump where the enemies are too weak or where he has access to his full capabilities, so he wouldn't have to worry about any threats. Somewhere with interesting people and he gets to play the mysterious stranger. 'Maybe I should ask ROB when this jump ends?' Letting out a sigh he closed his eyes and allowed the jump to end.

"For us, the storm has passed... the war is over. But let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark and did not return. For their decision required courage beyond measure; sacrifice, and unshakable conviction that their fight... our fight, was elsewhere. As we start to rebuild, this hillside will remain barren, a memorial to heroes fallen. They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten." Admiral Hood said to the onlookers still in quiet disbelief that the war is finally over, and sad that the war's two greatest heroes weren't here to see it with him.

Waking up in the void after a Jump was always disorienting for the Jumper like standing up too fast. Even after more than a dozen times, he always finds it unpleasant.

"Well, there is another jump done, Merlin I haven't fought in a war like that since The War of the Realms in the Venomverse Jump." Said a handsome man in his mid-twenties standing about 6'3" with short silky black hair, that almost seemed to blend into the void that parted to the left and faintly glowing emerald green cat eyes.

The man was wearing a tailored black suit and vest over a white button-up and black tie. On top of the suit, he wore a long fitted trench coat that seemed alive as fanned out and moved as if pushed by a breeze.

The cat-eyed man's clothing did little to hide his form revealing a body built for war and death. A perfect balance of speed and strength, the form of a deadly predator.

"Ohhh it was so fun to watch you rip and tear your way through the covenant! Especially when you ripped that one Sangheili's mandibles open and shoved a grenade down its throat, or when you beat that Unggoy to death with his own skull! OoO I should find the Doom jump later!" A giant glowing humanoid figure sitting on the throne gushed.

The Black Cat of Cintra nodded in satisfaction as that Unggoy kill took way too many tries before he actually pulled it off. A pensive look came over his face. "ROB, would you allow me to take a break from all this for a while?"

"You want to… stop Jumping?" ROB asked incredulously, his earlier excitement gone.

"Don't be daft of course not" The Time Lord Victorious scoffed at the idea "When I graduated from the academy in the DW Jump I took the title The Adventurer. Obviously, I don't want to stop seeing new universes, it's just… I'm tired of going from one fight to another. I… want a change of pace, if that makes any sense."

ROB rubbed his glowing jaw with his hand and thought about what his most entertaining champion said. "No I understand, you always take the craziest drawbacks and scenarios. It would only make sense eventually you would wear yourself out, but I'm not gonna set you free on the omniverse because I can already feel my future self's headache."

The Slayer of Knull let out an offended scoff and mumbled something that sounded suspiciously like "you almost blow up one multi-verse and suddenly it's all…"

Ignoring The "Sane" Schweinorg's offended mutterings, ROB devised a solution. "How about I send you to a universe from a multiverse you haven't been to and give you free rein to have your… sabbatical."

Stopping his grumbling, The Magician of the Third Magic narrowed his eyes at the literal ruler of the omniverse and asked "What's the catch?"

Raising one finger he said, "First no Jumpsheet for you when it comes to this universe meaning you will only have all the powers and abilities you've collected so far and any items in your warehouse." raising a second finger he continued, "Second you will be confined to the multiverse I send you so all of your powers and items that would let you visit anywhere else will be disabled." raising a third finger he concluded with "And finally you aren't allowed to become a hermit, you must interact with the setting and the characters."

Putting his hands behind his back standing at parade rest and tilting his head down the Jumper thought over his benefactor's proposal. He saw no obvious downsides besides the no Jumpsheet, but for his vacation, the Jumper was willing to make sacrifices. The only thing he was worried about was how ROB was gonna find a way to ruin this for him, and after knowing ROB for as long as he has the Jumper has no illusions that ROB wouldn't screw with his vacation for his amusement.

Looking up at the glowing being in front of him, the black-haired immortal decides "I accept your terms."

ROB didn't have a mouth but the Spartan knew that if he did he would be smirking. "Well then I hope you enjoy your sabbatical, my champion." and with a snap from ROB's hand, the immortal jumper vanished from the void.
