Dragon Ball: Runaways
Age 945
This planet had once been a growing community of the best fighters in the galaxy, thriving by sticking to their natural instincts. In the day, the sky looked violet, but at night you could've seen the entire galaxy just by looking up; it was the most beautiful thing in the cosmos. But that was long ago. Now, whenever you looked up at night, all you saw were the shadows of ships hovering above, watching every move you took. On this particular night, however, two of the inhabitants of this planet decided they wanted to get away, to start a new, more simple life. These were the runaways, Daikon and Lema, who spent most of their days training and getting stronger before their home planet Saiya was attacked and conquered by Glacier, a frost demon who had been taking over his family's empire.
The two Saiyans moved swiftly in the cold night, covering themselves with cloaks to hide from the ships above. Many others before them have tried to abandon Planet Saiya as well, only to abandon life itself. Adding to the ships in the atmosphere, there were also foot soldiers, known to be Glacier Soldiers or the G.S. Daikon and Lema almost ran into the G.S multiple times, but they were vigilant, using their natural born instincts to not get caught. They had to cross from the living grounds to the pod docks, if they made it there, they would be almost free; they would also have to worry about unauthorized flight permissions, life was hell when controlled by a tyrant who wanted nothing but control. Daikon and Lema were currently in the main town, they were halfway there. They continued until they reached the shops, hiding from the late-night workers. Daikon followed Lema past the laboratories, moving extra slowly, just to not set off the motion detectors. After all of the traveling, they finally made it to the pod docks, they had made it! Freedom was inches away! In excitement, Lema tossed off the cloak and booked it to the nearest pod. She punched in the code to the pod and waited for Daikon. Like I have said, everyone who had tried before them had met their end, meaning they made mistakes, Lema had just made one; she threw off her cloak.
Main G.S ShipThe main ship was nowhere near Planet Saiya, actually near a planet called Namielle, Glacier's homeworld. The frost demon would often look outside the large window that was on the front of the ship, staring down at his home. He would remember the ones who came before him, making sure their empire would grow larger with every generation that came after one another. Glacier still stared out the window, thinking about the former, but a member of the G.S ran into the room, swinging the doors open.
"Who dares barge in!?" Glacier screamed, demanding an answer.
"I'm sorry my l-lord." The soldier stuttered, getting down on one knee "But one of our guard ships have sensed two Saiyans trying to escape Planet Saiya. Glacier took a deep breath, he despised that planet out of every other planet he's conquered. He considered them to be barbaric and primitive, his own species were very intuitive and sophisticated.
"Planet Saiya…" Glacier began, "I've thought of blowing that ball of rock into space dust for ages now. I don't get it, every time one of those damn monkeys try to leave the empire, they die, and yet they persist on these futile efforts." Glacier said, loading up a holographic screen of Planet Saiya.
"Just one supernova and I wouldn't have to worry about them, but I need them; they may be barbaric, but their power levels are higher than any other species we've encountered." Glacier muttered, resting his head on his palm. The G.S stood up slowly.
"What should we do about them, sir? They've already reached the pod docks." The G.S explained. Glacier thought for a moment.
"Just send Kureta or Zonata. You know what, send both of them." Glacier said, shooing away his soldier.
"Yes sir," The soldier nodded, walking out of the room.
Planet SaiyaThe living grounds housed each Saiyan warrior who decided to be in the Saiyan army. A G.S soldier ran down the hall, stopping at one of the doors. He opened it in the rush.
"Zoanata, Kureta! We need you to neutralize two Saiyans who are escaping!" The soldier ordered. Kureta sat up, he was just a little bit shorter than the great Nappa, but he was as buff.
"Sure, whatever you say," Kureta yawned, "You hear him, Zoanta, we got work to do." he said, getting off the bunk. Zoanta hopped out of her bunk, she was as tall as the super Saiyan that appeared on Namek in Universe 7.
"Finally, I've been bored all day." Zoanta cheered, cracking her knuckles. The soldier recoiled to the sound of the cracks.
"So, who do we gotta kill?" Zoanta stretched, Kureta stood by her side. The soldier held up a holographic screen showing Daikon and Lema.
"Their names are Daikon and Lema, they have already reached the Pod Docks, so you don't have much time to reach them." The soldier explained. Zoanta ran out the door, gesturing for Kureta to do the same.
Lema was already in the pod, she was waiting for Daikon, who had also thrown off his cloak. He hopped in and joined Lema in the pod, Lema began punching in coordinates into the pod. The coordinates she entered led to a planet named Yardrat.
"We finally made it Lema, can you believe it!" Daikon beamed in excitement.
"Don't celebrate just yet Daikon, we still have to get this pod off the planet." Lema interjected. Lema was busy starting up the pod, she made enough progress to where it had gotten off the ground, but then they heard something. They could barely hear the sound, even though it was silent in the dead of night. It sounded like...flying...someone was coming for them! Lema tried to get the pod off the planet faster, but she couldn't she had never flown in a pod before, and while she was doing this, the sound of the flying got louder.
Zoanta and Kureta were flying over to the Pod Docks, scanning for the power levels of Daikon and Lema with their Scouters.
"It's the middle of the night and we were sent out to kill two low-class warriors. How lucky we are." Zoanta mumbled with an attitude. Kureta didn't respond, he just wanted to get the job done and go back to the living quarters. Zoanta gave him a look before looking away. It took some more time, but they reached the Pod Docks, they both landed and watch the stolen pod take off.
"Quickly, take it down!" Kureta ordered. Zoanta got in a stance to where her left side faced the pod. Her left arm began developing a yellow aura around it, which made their Scouters beep faster. In the pod, the built-in Scouters started to beep faster with Zoanta's rising power level. Daikon noticed this and stared out the pod window, glancing at Zoanta's bright yellow arm.
"Oh no…" He whispered.
Will our two Saiyans make it out alive?
