"Watch where you're going,"
"Excuse me?" a small redhead girl laid on the ground in Diagon Alley. She was on the ground, her bag had fell to the ground, its contents spilling out of it. In front of her, stood a black-haired boy that was staring down at the girl. His large round glasses slightly magnifying his blue eyes, giving a dark expression.
Harry Potter did not expect his day to be like this.
It all started just a month ago. His day started out as any other day. Sighing in exhaustion, having to deal another day with the damn Dursleys like he had for the past 10 years. Dealing with constant bullying from his plump, cousin, Dudley, his uncle Vernon and aunt Petunia trying to find every reason and way to blame him on the slightest on miss ups that happened in their lives. Harry knew that they wanted him to feel miserable as possible, always bringing back up the fact that they offered to take him in instead of sending him to an orphanage, after he was left at their doorstep.
He wondered what it would be like, being able to live in an orphanage rather than dealing with his excuse of the family that took him in. Growing up with this, Harry hated everything that happened. Everytime Dudley and his gang would bully him, he would always take it in, knowing Dudley would just pin the blame on him. He always had ideas of revenge on what he could to Dudley, but most of the time, he let those thoughts merely flow in his head, and at some of the times, strange things happened to Dudley, like when the day his underwear had suddenly risen up, as if somebody invisible was giving a wedgie, right after Dudley and his gang had attempted to give Harry his own wedgie.
It was because of this, Harry Potter looked at the world in dark lens. He was sick of everything. Sick of Dudley, Sick of his so called uncle and aunt, sick of his dead parents for leaving him that night.
But everything changed a few days ago before his eleventh birthday. A letter came in for him, and Dudley took it as an opportunity to torment Harry. When his uncle and aunt found out about the letter, for some reason, they wouldn't even let Harry see the letter. Soon, more letters came flying in from every direction of the house, driving his uncle mad, to the extent of moving to an deserted island.
And on the night when he turned 11, the door broke down and Harry remembered it as the day when a large man, known as Rubeus Hagrid had came to take Harry himself, to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Seeing it as the chance to leave that hell hole, Harry left with Hagrid, learning more about his past, such as him being called 'The Boy Who Lived', 'He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named', and more knowledge on the wizarding world. And now here he was, brought to Diagon Alley to buy supplies. Hagrid had left Harry alone at Ollivanders so that Harry could choose his wand. After several trial and errors with different wands, Harry had finally picked his wand with a sigh of relief. He left the store rather quickly, thinking Hagrid was outside but instead, the moment the doors close, something bumped into him, or rather someone.
And now here they are. People merely ignored at the ongoing scene as the redhead girl raised her eyebrow.
"Excuse me?" the girl said with an annoyed tone.
"I said watch where you're going, don't you have ears," Harry grumpled as he gave a neutral look.
"Rude," she muttered
It's her fault. He thought. The girl slowly got up and took a book, putting it in her bag as she stared up to him again. This time, it was Harry's turn to raise an eyebrow.
"What?"
"Aren't you going to help me pick up my books?" the girl asked
"And why would I do that, it was your fault that you fell and your books fell," Harry said rudely as the girl gave a shocked face.
"My mom always tell me that it's a gentleman's job to help a girl if she need help," the girl said as Harry rolled his eyes, annoyance starting to fill him.
"Well sorry I'm not what you would exactly call a gentleman," Harry emphasized on the last tone. The girl pouted as she slowly took the books one by one. Harry's eyes widened as he saw a small red spot on here elbow, a bruise possibly caused by the fall. He considered turning around, but instead, did something he didn't think he would do.
He sighed as he kneeled, grabbing other books that feel from the bag before putting it back in. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small bandaid. He would always keep some with him at all times due to constant bullying from Dudley.
"Here," Harry said as he looked away. Of all things he did and had to go through growing up, he didn't think he would help anyone, let alone a girl. He exected the girl to merely accept the band-aid, but instead, her face grew a large smile, Harry gulped.
"W-What?"
"You are a gentleman," she laughed, "and you actually do have a heart,"
"Harry!" Harry heard as he turned around to see Hagrid waving at him. In front of him was a trolley that carried Harry's supplies and in his hand, was a birdcage, home of a small white owl.
"Look I'm not a gentleman and take the band-aid already," Harry said as he grabbed the girl's hand, the girl blushing, and placing the bandage in her hand before running back to Hagrid.
"Who was that girl?" Hagrid asked as they walked away.
"I don't actually know,"

Chapter 1 - Meeting
"Well shit," Harry cursed, learning the swear word from Dudley. The memory of him saying it in front of Uncle Vernon flashed through his head. He shook it off as he saw the people walking in and out of King's Cross, holding the ticket that Hagrid had given it to him before disappearing when Harry wasn't looking. The ticket had the number "9 ¾" on it. He looked at the stations 9 and 10, wondering how on Earth would he even be able to get on that non-existent station. His thoughts were interrupted when he saw a bushy haired girl that was pushing a trolley with someone who was presumed to be her father. Harry's eyes widened as he saw the girl pushing the trolley into the wall between platform 9 and 10, suddenly disappearing through it.
He looked around for a moment, wondering if anyone else had seen it. He pushed his trolley and positioned it at where the girl had stood earlier. He gulped, praying that it won't cause a scene and ran forward as fast as he can.
Meanwhile a family of redheads entered the stations.
"Come on now we don't want to be late," the mother rushed her kids. As she did, a certain redhead girl watched as Harry ran through the wall.
Harry emerged from the other side as he finally opened his eyes. The sound of a train honking filled the air. Harry smiled as he saw a large red and black train with a sign that says 'Hogwarts Express'. He saw kids of various ages going up the train with trolleys as well. As he was about to go, he noticed a mother and father hugging their sun, the mother kissing him on the head. Harry stared at the moment with a look on his face as he boarded the train.
It was only a few minutes after the train had left the station. Harry managed to find an empty compartment after placing his stuff in the baggage rack above them. He stared out at the window, his mind bringing back up the image of the mother kissing her son. He wondered if that will ever happen to him, to get that kind of love, but knew it was impossible.
'Because they're dead'
His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the sound of the door sliding open. He darted his head and his eyes widened, and so was the source of the door opener.
"You!" Both voices spoke out loud. The redhead from earlier was now standing at the doorway with a bag in her hands. The band aid given to her earlier was present on her elbow.
"Mind if I sit here? Everywhere else was full," she asked as Harry turned to look back at the window
"Sure," was all he replied as the redhead plopped down on the red cushion in front of him. Silence was all there was between them until she decided to break it.
"I'm Ginevra Weasley, but you can call me Ginny," Ginny introduced herself as Harry nodded at her, still staring out the window. From the corner of his eye, he could tell that Ginny was moving her head, trying to get his attention.
"What again?"
"Aren't you going to introduce yourself to me? I told you my name, it's fair if you told me yours?" Ginny asked, like earlier, annoyance grew once again.
"Do you talk this much when you're with other people?" Harry asked as he ruffled his hair as Ginny smiled
"Maybe, maybe not, but mom always tell me to introduce myself to others since it's my first year at Hogwarts," Ginny said as her eyes widened. She narrowed her eyes as Harry saw that she was staring at him.
"Do you stare at others like this as well?"
Her eyes suddenly widened.
"You! You're Harry Potter!" Ginny exclaimed. Harry then knew why. When he ruffled his hair, he noticed in the reflection of the glass that his bangs were parted at his forehead, showing his lightning- bolt shaped scar. He immedeitly ruffled his hair back and covered his forehead.
"Yeah big deal," he shrugged off Ginny's excitement.
"Does this mean you met You-Know-Who?" Ginny gasped
"You seem to relaxed speaking about him," Harry stated, remembering how people reacted when he first spoke his name on accident.
"I mean, he is dead anyway, plus, we're going to attend the school that's run by the only wizard Voldemort has ever feared, Professor Dumbledore," Ginny said in awe, "But enough about that, were you really raised by muggles?" she asked in anticipation.
Harry flinched at the horrible memories he had with the Dursleys.
"Yeah…"
"How does it feel like being raised by muggles? And how do you that sorcery called Wi-Fi? " Ginny asked but Harry wasn't listening. The memories of Dudley, pushing him back into the damn broom closet resurface over and over again.
"They're the worst," Harry started,
"HA! Loser! No wonder your stupid parents left you! You're just a good for nothing orphan!" Dudley spat in his face, his friends laughing with him in the background
"Huh?"
Harry clenched his teeth.
"They're the absolute worst. Living with them was like hell everyday, waking up is that dusty old broom closet, getting tormented everyday at that school, getting yelled at for every single little thing, wishing each day would end the moment it started," Harry raised his voice a bit
"Be grateful boy! We raised you out of the goodness of our hearts if it wasn't for your damn parents getting themselves killed!" Uncle Vernon retorted
He tightened his fists
"WONDERING WHY YOUR PARENTS HAD TO BE KILLED AND LEAVE YOU ALONE!" Harry shouted. He then notice what he was doing as he saw Ginny slightly moving away from him. Tears were forming at his eyes as he immediately wiped them.
"S-Sorry about that," Harry apologized quickly as he turned away from Ginny, not wanting her to look at him.
"It's fine," Ginny said. Just earlier in the day, he was putting up a rude front, the look from earlier, comparing it to his face now, Ginny almost couldn't believe this. Harry sniffed a little, he had done it again, letting his anger get the better of him. He had expected Ginny to slowly leave the compartment, not wanting to deal with Harry who was silently crying.
But instead, he heard the sound of the train cushion moving, felt movement at the cushion he was sitting on and to his surprise, a pair of arms grabbed his head and pulled him into a hug.
And by this, Harry's heart was beating excitedly. Ginny placed her chin onto Harry's head.
"W-What are you doing?" Harry asked as his face was turning red.
"A hug always helped me whenever I'm upset, and that's what you look like right now. Mom and Dad always tell me, sometimes a hug may be the best thing that one could ever have," Ginny said. Harry placed his hand on Ginny's arm, wanting to remove her arm, but instead, as if it was on instinct, he pulled her a bit closer, he questioned himself.
Two questions lingered in his mind.
Why?
Why is a girl he barely knew, doing this to someone she barely knows and someone who had been nothing but rude
Why is he hugging her back.
For the first time, Harry had felt something different in him. Something about the redhead hugging him close, felt nice to him.
'She's so warm…'
Harry showed no resistance.
'It's nice'
Harry closed his eyes and wanted to dig his head deeper. But the sound of knocking on the door caught them off by surprise, causing Ginny to suddenly jump back. Both faces were red from embarrassment as the knock repeated itself and the door opened.
"Anything from the trolley dears?" an elderly woman asked sweetly, pushing a trolley filled with sweets.
"Y-You want anything?" Harry asked as Ginny smiled as she shook her head. "We're fine thanks,"
The woman smiled and closed the door, her words repeating as she went to the other compartment, asking other passengers.
Silence filled between them once again. Harry gulped as he decided to take the lead.
"Thanks for that," Harry said as he wiped his glasses. Harry put on his glasses back and saw Ginny staring at Harry with a wide grin on her face once again.
"You do have a heart," Ginny laughed as Harry sighed. He stuck out his hand.
"I never realized, I never gave you a proper introduction myself, Harry, Harry Potter," Harry mustered the courage to bring himself to say that. Ginny smiled as she took his hand and shook it.
'Her hand is still warm'. Harry immediately pulled back his hand back to avoid Ginny wondering why he was still holding onto his hand
"So is everyone in your family, you know, magic people?" Harry asked, not knowing whether to use the term Wizard or Witch.
"Yeah, most wizards or witches call us Purebloods, every single one of my family are wizards, all 6 of my older brothers…attended…Hogwarts….," Ginny said as she lowered her voice, her face gave a sad look. Harry noticed this as she saw her usual smile, suddenly turned into a frown. It was weird for her not to smile.
"What's wrong?" Harry asked, then realized what he was doing. Normally, he wouldn't be the one asking what others' problems was, usually it was the exact opposite. He watched as Ginny opened her mouth, about to speak when suddenly the train horn went off. Ginny gasped as she realized the situation.
"We're about to arrive at Hogwarts! We have to change into our uniform and robes!" Ginny started as she started to unbutton her blouse, Harry's face turning red on instant.
"W-Wait Ginny! I'm still here!" Harry gave a flustered look. A girl was about to undress in front of a boy. Harry's and Ginny's face reddened so much that they almost look like a tomato.
Few moments later, the door to their compartment opened and Harry was suddenly flung out.
"I won't take too long I promise!" Ginny cried out from inside, ruffling of clothes could be heard.
"I could've taken my uniforms and robes and change in the bathroom," Harry sighed as he looked out the window, and was immediately greeted by the sight of a large castle – like building.
This was it. A new beginning In his life, and a new chapter.
Ginny then emerged from the compartment, dressed in her uniform and school robes.
"Done!" she announced as she also saw the window "Ooohh that must be Hogwarts!" Ginny exclaimed as she brought her head near Harry's, wanting to see the view as well. Harry smiled
Something in him was telling him that now, he won't be on his own.
