Chapter 1: The Lodge

This story follows one rather odd teen from Japan. It wasn't that his hair was messy and green, not in this day and age. It wasn't his tall height, especially not when people like Mt. Lady were about. No not even his green eyes which glowed in the dark, there were far weirder quirks after all than just glowing eyes. No he was odd for what his quirk could do. Ever since he was a small child all he ever wanted to do was be a hero like All Might. Sadly fate had other plans with his quirk. He wasn't able to breath fire or move small objects like his parents not was he able to set himself alight, fly, have literally sticky fingers or breath out a strong wind like his grandparents, no his quirk was much more sinister.

His quirk to put simply stole genetic code and integrated it with his own where he can then manipulate it freely, now this is all well and good until you accidentally come across something you shouldn't, something that could easily have world ending implications. It had started so simple too. A holiday to Greenland with his parents to celebrate his tenth birthday.

Outside the skiing lodge the wind was howling as the shutters on the Windows rattled. Inside the main dining room several people sat huddled around the fireplace for warmth. Above them on the balcony that circled the room a cat was happily prowling after a fly that had came inside to escape the cold.

Among them was Izuku, his green hair was damp from falling in the snow not half an hour before while next to him his Father Hizashi was wrapped up in blankets shivering after having all the snow from a tree fall on him after he let loose a blast of fire breath to warm himself. Across from him Inko sat sipping at some hot coco one of the lodge staff had made for everyone.

"So, you learnt your lesson?" Inko giggled softly.

"Yes, snow sucks." Hisashi grunted in annoyance. "Next time I say we stay in Japan and far away from any snow."

Izuku smiled at his parents. His father was always working off for some pharmaceutical company in America for 10 months of the year so what little time they got to spend together was cherished by the green haired duo of the family.

"Watcha doing?" A voice right besides him asked making Izuku jump slightly in shock. Right next to him was a blonde haired girl with pail skin and golden cat like eyes, a pair of sharp fangs poked through her lips slightly and her orange and blue pattern snowboarding suit was covered in snow and twigs.

"U-uhm h-hi." Izuku squeaked nervously as his cheeks turned bright red in embarrassment. The only thought going through his mind were "OHMYGOSHIMTALKINGTOAGIRL!" and "WHY IS SHE SO CLOSE?!"

"Hi!" The cat eyed girl chirped. "I'm Toga Himiku, so what is your name?" She asked with a tilt of her head causing some snow in her messy hair to fall off to the ground.

"I-Izuku Midoriya." The green haired boy stuttered nervously.

"Neat, so, what are you doing?" She asked pointing to a notebook he was writing in without looking at.

Looking down his face grew an even brighter shade of red as he realised he had been writing down notes on Quirks he had seen the staff using about the lodge. "J-just s-some notes."

"Cool, hey this looks like the quirk the door guy has, you know the one that makes the cold stay out." Toga stated as she peaked over Izuku's shoulder and looked at the notes. " So, I'm from the Tanookie ward in Tokyo, you?"

"The Mustafo ward myself." Izuku stated as he rubbed at the back of his head messing up his already messy hair.

"Neat. I'm here with my mum, her and dad were fighting again so we went snowboarding." Toga shrugged unashamedly as she sat down next to Izuku. "Man it's nice and warm here. So, what's your quirk? Mine is called Blood suit, I can drink someone's blood to look like them but it doesn't work with clothes or quirks."

"T-that sounds so cool, you could be an excellent underground hero with a quirk like that." Izuku grinned. " You could get into some Yakuza's base and get out and they wouldn't even know who you really were." He rambled. Making toga grin happily.

"Aww that's so sweet! Nobody has ever said I'd be a good hero before just that my quirk was gross or villainous. Thanks Izuku-kun." Toga grinned happily as she leant against the greenette. "But it didn't answer my question, what does your quirk do?"

Izuku fidgeted slightly as he blushed at how close Toga was before he opened his notebook to the beginning few pages and showed her. Behind him and unknown to the two teens Hisashi with doing the snoopy Happy Dance and Inko was giggling softly with a large grin. "Its called Gene thief. I can take bits of DNA or RNA and add it to my own, I can in theory copy quirks using this but the doctors don't want me to try that just yet in case I hurt myself or damage my quirk."

"So, what can you do?" Toga asked excitedly as she bounced slightly on the spot.

"I can change my gender, change things like My nose and eyes but not anything like bones oh and while it takes ages I can change what color my hair is, it used to be White but people kept saying I looked too old like that so I made it like the same color as my mum's hair." Izuku listed off. "Oh and I don't get sick, my quirk just eats the germs and viruses."

"I wish I never got sick." Toga muttered mostly to herself. "I missed the school dance the other week because I got the cold and couldn't ask out someone in time."

A loud thump filled the air as a distraught looking woman with blood mattered hair and a gore stained winter dress slammed the double doors to the room behind her, with a panicked shaking to her hands she hastily locked the door with a key adorned with a green club pattern.

"Mum?" Toga asked in worry as she stood up, Izuku quickly copying her as his parents and an elderly woman in the corner of the room also stood up.

"Run!" The woman yelled loudly as she wiped around to face them, a large chunk of flesh from the side of her jaw was missing revealing muscle and even bone bellow as blood dribbled down her throat.

Chapter end.
