It was a darken night where not even the stars shown a flicker of light on two equestrian figures fleeing across the dark plains, desperately trying to escape the beast's following at their heels. "Calipso they are catching up and we are tiring we can not continue on like this" the equestrians who's coat was of the purest of gold and a mane like living fire spoke, a horn protruded like a single pointed spiral of pure diamond glowing with a divine light as though it held the embodiment of the sun's rays as his Cerean blue eyes showed the fear he felt inside. his larger companion breathed heavily beside him as a soothing baritone voice sounded through the bond. " then we must take a form witch they will not seek." the golden equestrians eyes widen with a shocked horror " are you mad Calipso! we can not possibly-!" " there is no other way Solis! lest you wish to be caught and killed!" Solis to a chanced glance at their pursuers close on their heels before turning back to face him " then promise, promise not to let me forget what and who I am!" Calipso sends a wave of comfort through the bond like a gentle embrace " I promise you will never forget after all it is only for a short time" with this the two quickly flee into the forest closing their eyes they call on their powers to change their shape. their bones begin to brake and shift their skin tingles as they slowly and painfully shift. their horns shift into crystal necklaces. Solis' a diamond crystal while Calipso's a mix of obsidian gold intertwined in a beautiful mixture of crystal's. as the pursuers run past them Solis breaths a sigh of relief as he looks to Calipso, the once mighty stallion was bare to the world his hair like dark obsidian silk tipped in gold if he where to be standing his hair would reach down to his ankles with small pointed tips of his ears barley showing. his skin looked to be kissed by moonlight perfect and pure with soft pale lips and thick lashes brushing gently against his cheek. Solis could not help to Marvel at the once stallion for even before the change he was the most beautiful with furred hooves and long silk main and tail all of witch was tipped in gold even his obsidian coat shown with a golden undertone in the rays of the sun his eyes a hypnotic silver hue. slowly he moved closer to him slightly shocked that he truly had not forgotten a single thing about his life for it was to be expected. he reached Calipso and gently placed he small fail hand upon his shoulder and speaking in but a whisper " Calipso...I think they are gone." his eyes fluttered open revealing a pair of silver orbs " good we are now safe." Calipso moves to stand but quickly stumbles with a sharp hiss as Solis rushed to help support him carful to avoid any unwanted contact " Calipso are you alright!" his eyes are closed his face alight with pain " my leg...it burns with fire when I stand!" Solis carefully lowers him back to the ground and looks only to find a blackened and swollen leg " I...I think it is broken. " Calipso sight and tries once more to stand as Solis forces him back down " You can not walk on it, it could cause more harm or worse!" " Solis we can not stay here. I may not know much but I am certain we need shelter and rest we have neither here." Solis sighed he knew he was right but he also knew he could not carry him nor could Calipso walk at least not on his own " fine give me one of your arms I will help you walk" Calipso obeyed and after some time they found an old cave where they settled down for the night Solis binded Calipso's leg as best he could before curling up against his side. slightly wondering why this normal sleeping position felt so stranger now then it did when they where in their true form they fell into a quiet sleep.
