Author's Note

We all love Re_Zero for various reasons. One of those being that Subaru, the mc doesn't have the conventional isekai mc plot armor. Instead, he gets to be miserable. Yaay.

So I thought it be a cool idea for Subaru to meet someone who did get that lucky treatment (only to a certain extent as otherwise, it'll be just a self-insert generic Isekai). I know that's why Reinhard exists, but he was born into that world. I want someone from Earth, so it hits more close to home for Subaru.

Subaru is still the main character, and my OC is a side character. He's not taking the spotlight. He's not going to some perfect self-insert OC who takes over. This is still about the relationship between these two. My OC, Ryuu is still going to be just as flawed as anyone else.

The new power's name might change. I just went with it for now.

Except for the first chapter, this is not going to be me just redoing canon with an annoying extra. Since both Subaru and Ryuu know each other since forever, Ryuu understands him a bit more than the others. So Subaru's suffering due to RBD is going to lower, although he and everyone else are still going to suffer.

I originally posted this on Ao3, but the fandom seems to be just slightly larger here than that site, so I decided to cross-post despite Ao3 being the superior site.

Subaru heard the cashier thank him for visiting as he left the store. As he left the store, he couldn't help but yawn. He was tired. Guess that would be the consequence of watching anime all night. He'll try to put down the remote early tonight.

Walking towards the road, he winced as soon as he heard the words "Subaru? Is that you?"

He recognized that voice. Begrudgingly, he turned around to see a boy about his age walking towards him. He was wearing a blue and white hoodie. The boy was around Subaru's height, having messy black hair and blue eyes. It was Hinode Ryuu. Who some may call Subaru's childhood friend. But to Subaru, he was a bother. An online friend who he just happened to know since childhood. One who didn't quite understand that Subaru's wish was for their friendship to remain online. Nothing more.

Since pretending that he didn't listen to him was no longer an option, he reluctantly replied, "Oh, hey Ryuu."

"Man, it's been a while since I've seen you. How've you been?" the boy asked, unknowingly causing Subaru to cringe from within. Why does he always ask questions like this? They literally talked yesterday, but now he's pretending like it's been months since they last met.

"F-fine, how about you?" the blandest thing he could've said.

"I'm fine too, I guess. Say... it's Onishi's birthday this Saturday, everyone is invited. You gonna attend?"

Subaru internally raged at this. The answer is no. Fucking no! Every time he asks this shit, knowing full well, the Subaru will refuse, but the bastard never gives up. Fortunately, he managed to keep his rage under control and replied with a polite "I'll think about it." which translated to "No." to anyone who knew the boy.

"I see. Well...Hey! You gonna play tonight?"

"Maybe, but not for long."

"Alright! Wel-" Ryuu stopped when suddenly a truck passed them. The incoming light from the headlights being bright enough to force both boys to close and cover their eyes. As Ryuu started to open his eyes, he started speaking again, "See you late..." before stopping and looking around dumbly, same as Subaru.

No longer were they near the empty dark street in front of the convenience store. Nope, the sky was bright blue. The streets were anything but empty. Filled with animal-like people walking. The ground no longer being made of asphalt, instead of stone and dirt. Behind them was not a convenience store but a large fountain.

"This obviously isn't fake." Subaru whispered to himself.

"The fuc-" Ryuu spoke softly, taking a moment to comprehend it.

"This can only mean one thing."

"What the actual fuc-"

"I've been summoned to a parallel world!"

"What the fuck?!"

It's only then Subaru noticed that Ryuu was also there. "What the.. what are you doing here?!" he brashly asked.

"What am I doing here? What are you doing here? What is even this place? " Ryuu replied before catching on to Subaru's initial reaction. He acted like he knew this kind of situation. "Wait wait wait. Do you know what... this is?" as his finger points to all around them.

"No! But I thought I was the only one who got transported here. Why did yo-" suddenly a light bulb flipped in Subaru. He got a foul-looking smile on his face. "I see.. you're the side character! Oh, it makes sense... if we consider that..." after this point, his words became undecipherable noise to Ryuu.

"Side character? Oye, you saying this like it's some show?!" Ryuu's panicked voice was completely ignored by Subaru, who just looked at him, barely hiding his smile. "Hey, let's explore!"

Ryuu then saw Subaru turn and start running away. "Fuck's sake!" he screamed before chasing after him.

Things were not looking good. He had let Subaru take charge because fantasy isekai wasn't really Ryuu's thing. He preferred dark or gothic fantasy. Even then letting Subaru take charge was...not the best of ideas. This was made apparent the first time when they both noticed a kid in the middle of the road about to run over by one of the abundant carriages. Instead of running to save the kid, Subaru instead got on his knees, did some gesturing thing with his hand, all while screaming, "Here's my time to shine. Magic Powers go HAH!" Then acting surprised when nothing happened. Thankfully, some knight saved the kid before things could get worse.

After that, Subaru almost got them both beat up by a fruit seller who was really jacked for some reason, and right after that, he walks into the women's bathroom, the resulting commotion caused Subaru to back away a bit too much and tripping off a bridge and falling into the city sewers.

And this is how Ryuu ended up here. Subaru had dropped a chip packet here, and considering they're in a world where the money they do have is useless, conserving food is necessary. He told Subaru to dry off in the alley while he goes and looks for the lost item. It took him a while, but eventually, he did find it.

Going back towards the alley to tell Subaru the good news, he finds something strange. He sees Subaru sleeping in the lap of some giant cat and this girl who had white hair and was wearing a white and purple dress. "Oye!" he shouts, catching their attention.

He puts his hands up in fake material arts pose. "Hey! Hey! Hey! What'd you do to him?!" he threw a fake punch in the air to scare them before gesturing them to come at him. "Don't make me use force!"

He saw the white girl started to have a panicked expression on his face while the cat simply smiled and replied, "Oh really? Want to rephrase that?!" before sharp ice crystals started to float above the animal, all aiming for the boy.

Ryuu immediately joins his hands and bows down. "May I ask politely what happened to my friend all-mighty cat..person." berating himself mentally for taking on more than he could chew.

"Puck! You shouldn't scare someone like that! It doesn't help with the... issue. "

"Sorry Lia, thought I should have a little fun y'know?" the cat replied as the duo started to banter.

Seeing they had no actual intentions of harming him, "Um excuse me. Since you guys are not planning on killing me, can you please tell me what happened to my friend? " Ryuu asked, sheepishly rubbing his hands and having one foot outside the ally just in case.

"Who said about letting you go?" the cat spoke in a dark tone, causing Ryuu to wince.

"Puck!"

"Fine, fine. I'm done joking." the cat laughed. "Your friend here was getting beat by some thugs. So Lia and I saved him!"

"Oh, I see... Uh- thank you for that." he rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. Really?! They saved someone from getting beat up, and all he could think was thanks.

"That won't do. I didn't do it for free." the girl quickly replied, causing Ryuu to panic. They were broke. If she asks for money, then he's screwed. "Since I saved your friend's life, you owe me a debt. Right?!" the girl named "Lia" continued.

"Yeah?" he meekly replied

"So to pay me back, you must do me a favor as well. That's fair right?!" the girl said, asking that last part more than stating it. Still enough for Ryuu to nod along in fear.

"So tell me this.. do you know the thief who stole my insignia!"

"The what now?"

"My insignia. It has a jewel in the center, it's about yay big." she showcases the size with her fingers. "Do you know where it is?"

"I'm sorry, but I have no clue what you're saying?" Ryuu replied apologetically. Still fearing what else will she ask him since the information she got was useless.

"Lia, he's not lying" Puck joined in ' He doesn't have any malice and the fear he did had also gone away despite seeing her clearly. What a strange kid?' the cat thought.

"I see, no helping that then. But you did give me useful information that you know nothing. Consider the debt paid." the words coming from the girl's mouth shocked Ryuu. Ahh, she's that type of a person, isn't she?

"Seems like you were just trying to convince yourself that you didn't just waste your time." Ryuu absently mindedly said out loud. Causing the girl to panic again while the Cat behind just snickered.

"That's not the case at all. You see I saw that he needed healing and thought it might good to do it in exchange for information. Information, even useless ones are quite useful. It lets me know that this person doesn't know anything about the situation and will help me save time in the future because if I know that they need help, they can't help me back and hence why I won't waste my time with them in the future. The timing could also be more strict in the future, so better take the slow way now. You should also consider that.." the girl lost Ryuu at this point, who could regret his previous words so much. All he could do was cross his arms and just apologize once she's done with her justification/rant for being nice.

The mist of all this, Puck notice the boy in his lap started to wake up.

Subaru's eyes slowly fluttered open, his slumber being disturbed by all this noise. He was lying on a heavenly soft surface. It was warm and quite hairy. He chuckles before saying, "So even pretty girls can be quite hairy." He turned his head to go look up and saw a giant fucking cat instead. "Ahh!" he gets back until his back is on the wall.

"We made this arrangement so you at least woke up happy!" the Puck informed in an unusually high pitch noise.

"First of all, don't talk in such a high voice! No sane guy confuses a cat for the main heroine!"

"Aww man, making myself bigger to see your happy reaction was worth it!" Puck said in his normal voice.

"I'm not happy!" Subaru claimed. It's then he heard an ahem from his right. He saw the pretty girl. And next to her was...

"Bastard! Where were you when I screamed for help?! Do I need to teach you a lesson?!" he screamed as he dashed towards Ryuu and grabbed him by the collar. Speaking in a language not understood by the girl or Puck.

"What the- Wait. Why are you speaking English?!"

As the other boy started responding in the foreign language, a*ahem* from the girl was enough to change his focus on attention.

"Oh. Sorry for making you stay with me while I was unconscious." Subaru said in a sincere tone. The sudden shift in tone caused a bit of irritation in both the girl and Ryuu.

"Don't get the wrong idea. I only stayed with you because I thought I could get some useful information out of you. Healing your wounds and making Puck your pillow was for my own benefit. So I nee-" Ryuu stopped listing at this point and walked back a bit to let these two have the same conversation he just went through.

"Sorry about this. She's so insincere. Don't think badly of her." Puck said as he started floating near Ryuu's head.

"I won't. But she'll waste her life if she remains this way." Ryuu said his thoughts out loud before turning to face Puck. And realize that the cat was now much smaller and flying next to him. "What the- how did you get so small?"

"What are you talking about? This is my normal size, I only got big for your friend there. It's like you never pay attention to me!" Puck joked back.

"I thought the ice was your power?!"

"That is, and I can also grow big. And Fly! And so much more" Puck started flying in circles around Ryuu.

"What a weird cat. "

Puck but his arm on his forehead, acting like a damsel in distress before sarcastically replying, "Huh?! Your words hurt my feelings! How could you just say something like that! Seems like I have no other choice but to freeze you now!"

"Yeah, yeah."

Suddenly, Subaru's voice drew the two back into the conversation. "So it's settled. We are helping you!"

The girl tried to object, but before she could, Puck flew up to her arm and assured her, "I don't detect malice from either of the two. You should accept their help. They can act as meat shields between you and those ruffians!"

Subaru complained, "Hey! That what you want me around for!?"

"Are you sure? But then I don't have anything else to pay you back with? "

"No problem! Leave it to me!" Subaru absent-mindedly replied.

' That doesn't answer the question, and even then besides..' he leans towards Subaru's ear and whispers in English "Dude are you sure this is a good idea? These dudes know ice magic! If anyone was able to steal something from them, what chance do we have?" His concern shrugged of Subaru, whose only reply was a wink.

"Man! I talked a big game but it's so hard to find someone in this big city." Subaru whined as he sat down on the stairs in exhaustion.

"Oh really? So you're telling me it's hard for you to find someone in this place that we know nothing about? This...this.. magic Italy!" Ryuu yelled back at him in frustration. It was evident to him Subaru's words were not to be trusted ever again. They had spent an hour! An hour! Asking people if they had seen some small blonde girl. In a magic world where everyone has weird hair color. After obviously failing, they decided to take a small break.

"Don't complain so much! Before you know it, we'll know everything about this place. And also magic Italy? Seriously?"

The girl looked at them confused before correcting them, "Magic...Ita-what? This is the capital of Luguncia."

"See! It even sounds Italian!"

"Yeah, you kinda right there."

The girl's look turned one of worry. "You guys, don't even know that huh?"

Subaru replied all too enthusiastically, "Yep! We both are completely broke and lost! No clue what's going on!"

"You don't seem too broken up about it! How weird." Puck said as he started flying around Subaru. His eyes fell upon Ryuu's left arm, prompting him to ask a question "Say.. what's that on your hand?" he points his small arm towards the direction.

"Hmm?" Ryuu looks at his left arm and notices a small shiny object hidden beneath the sleeve of his hoodie. Slowly he rolls it up and sees a platinum-colored metal bracelet with a muted purple jewel embedded into its center. Around the jewels were some darkly colored lines that seeming made a design around it. "What the- when did I get this?"

"What is it?" Subaru asked confusedly. Ryuu wasn't exactly one who wore expensive items for the showcase.

"I-I don't know! I don't remember wearing anything!"

Puck stated the obvious "Seems valuable."

"You're right! We could sell this and then we won't have to worry about starving for a few weeks!" Ryuu rotated his wrist to try and find a latch or something to remove the item. Only for there to be none. "What the-." Subaru then approached and tried to slide the thing off. Which wasn't possible as it stuck to him extremely tightly, as if it was attached to his skin.

"How did you even get this one?"

"I don't know?! I didn't know I even had this...thing?!"

"You are quite strange aren't ..?" The girl trailed off.

"Oh that's right, we haven't introduced ourselves.. well let me start!" Subaru then took his pose. "My name is Natsuki Subaru! As stated before, I'm completely clueless and broke! Nice to meet you!"

Puck then got excited. "And I'm Puck! Nice to meet you!" He flew towards Subaru's hand, where he hugged Subaru's hand.

"It's very unusual to see someone who can touch a spirit so casually. Where are you from?" the girl asked to which Subaru answered by just saying it's a small nation from the west, causing her to get confused again as she remembered out loud that Luguncia was the easternmost country on the continent. Seeing the two boys wince at the statement, she couldn't help but worriedly ask, "You have no clue where you are, you have no money, you can't read and you have no one to help you? You might be in an even more precarious position than me, Subaru and um?"

"Hinode Ryuu." Ryuu calmly replied, choosing to ignore Subaru's sudden blush at her saying his name.

"When I look at you from this angle you seem pretty well built. The same can't be said for you're friend though," Puck said as his eyes shifted to Ryuu's skinner frame.

Before Subaru could tell them that he works out, Ryuu interrupted him with an angry tone, "Hey! I can hear you!" causing Puck to snicker.

The girl had gotten closer to the boys and started to inspect their hands. "I don't know what that is but I can tell the difference between you two by you're hands. Ryuu your hands have swellings and burns while Subaru you're hands are really clean and pretty. You belong to a noble family, don't you? To have muscle without any scars indicates you are from a rich family."

Before Subaru could explain that Ryuu is from the same privileged background and only has scars because he fucks up while cooking, the girl takes his hand for inspecting. As she exclaims she was right, Subaru couldn't help but blush. Ignoring the snort from Ryuu in the background, he says, "Hey, now that we have introduced yourself, how about you?"

"My name..." she paused before looking towards the city, thinking for a moment before replying, "Satella, just Satella. I have no family name."

Puck failed to hide his shocked face upon hearing it. He heard Subaru compliment the name. Puck sensed no malice, fear, or anything negative—just happiness and trust. Luckily, it seems Subaru didn't notice his shock.

But Ryuu definitely did. He saw right through the lie. It also didn't help that Puck called her Lia in front of him a couple of times. Weirdly, Ryuu still didn't have malice, fear, or hatred. Just distrust. "Lia, you have poor taste. The other boy caught the lie" he telepathically conveyed to "Satella."

"Let's...get back to asking around. Wouldn't wanna waste your time now." Ryuu stated in a cold tone which caught the attention of everyone but Subaru, who was still busy being enamored by the girl.

After beginning the search again, Ryuu was oddly silent for the most part. He occasionally helped or gave his insight, but the boy rarely attempted to start a conversation, unlike Subaru, who seemingly still hadn't noticed the behavior change. During the search, they found a small child crying in the corner of the street. Despite saying she had very little time, Emilia tried to approach the small girl to ask her what's wrong. The girl almost immediately started to cry, only saved when Subaru took out an antique coin and displayed a familiar party trick to "wow" the girl. Which worked as she quickly let down her guard and became friendly towards the two.

And Ryuu soon after as once she indicated she was getting tired, Subaru didn't hesitate in making her sitting on Ryuu's shoulder, from which she then proceeded to tangle his already messy hair. At the same time, Subaru made failed attempts at flirting with the white-haired girl, which was funny enough for Ryuu to distract him from the demon pulling his hair. Eventually, they found her father, the same jacked fruit seller who yelled at the beginning. He was grateful and asked them if they needed anything. They asked the man about anyone who matched Subaru's description. The man told them they would have a better chance of finding the culprit, a young girl named Felt, in the slums. Before leaving, however, the girl returned with a small flower for "Satella."

On their way to the slums, Ryuu noticed something about "Satella. Say, are you an elf?"

Wrong question, he instantly realized. For her to shy away and hide her ears behind her hair made it abundantly clear. So did her response, "N-no. I'm a half-elf."

"Oh." the minimalistic answer caused her to look very surprised.

"I see.. the elf faction always has the most beautiful girls! That's why you are so cute!" Subaru's response causing her to look be even more stumped.

"But..I'm.. a half-elf. " she looked towards both boys, only to both given the same 'I heard you.' response. She then stopped and crouched for some reason. Puck suddenly came out of her hair and punched Subaru, giving the explanation that a sort of "tingly feeling" compelled him to that.

"You both are such dunderheads!"

"Dunderhead? What are you a hundred?/Dunderhead? Who even says that anymore?" both replied in synchronization.

Satella was quick to dismiss them. "Anyways, we shouldn't waste time anymore. Let's go to the slums."

They had been traveling for a while in slums. Actually, traveling would be an overstatement. Lost would be a more appropriate word. Knowing going on like this will lead them nowhere, Subaru finally says, "Man this place is even more confusing than the city! Should we ask one of the residents here? "

"No one would sell out their own. I don't think that will work." Puck voice came in, sounding rather tired.

"Hmm, then what else can we do? Mayb-" Satella's words were stopped when she heard shuffling behind them. Both turned to see Ryuu grabbing some of the dirt with his hands. Before either could ask, Ryuu walked up to Subaru and rubbed his dirt-covered hands all over his face.

Coughing, Subaru takes a few steps back before shouting, "The hell are you doing?!"

"Your clothes are already dirty from falling into the sewer and getting beat up by those thugs. Plus now with the dirt on your face, it makes you seem miserable. Go ask the dwellers here now, they'll probably pity you and tell you what you want to know." Ryuu's plan left Puck chuckling a bit while Subaru could only reluctantly growl."What are you waiting for? Go! We've wasted enough time as if. " he pushes Subaru away.

Subaru walks towards one of the citizens, trying his best to hide his angry scowl. While Ryuu's plan was not bad, but it did leave him looking like shit. He sort of hoped it didn't work because then he could throw mud at Ryuu's face and call him stupid. It was immature beyond belief, Subaru knows.

Sadly, the plan did work, and the slum dwellers pitied him enough to let him know the location of Felt's whereabouts and how he would have to buy the stolen possession back essentially. Kicking the dirt while walking back, before he can relay this information, he sees Satella on the wooden bridge, having a blue aura surrounded by bright blue magic orbs. He walks near Ryuu and whispers. "Dude this is so cool. What's happening by the way?"

"Tch, I don't know. The cat vanished because his office hours were over and then she started glowing to summon these...balls of magic." Ryuu dismissively told.

"Balls of magic? Man, you make even the coolest things sound so lame!"

"Whatever. Let's just get this over with."

"What's gotten into you? You in a bad mood?"

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with me?! I don't know! Let me see, we both are stuck in some other fucking planet where we have nothing of value, no helps, or anyone who can help us. We are, for all intents and purposes, completely fucked in the ass!"

Ryuu tirade caused Subaru to wince. While all the points he made were true, and chances are that Ryuu probably doesn't want to be an Isakai adventure. He was happy enough on Earth, unlike Subaru. Still, there was one thing he was wrong about "We do have someone who'll help us. Satella probably will, especially after we find her insignia!"

"Riggghhttt.. sure she will!" Ryuu sarcastically replied, "Don't you think she finds our story a bit suspicious. Two jackasses, who are from nowhere, show up in the middle of nowhere and know nothing just happened to meet some mage and happen to help her find something precious that was stolen from her, THE VERY SAME DAY!"

"Shh, don't yell. Anything will sound suspicious if you say it like that. Besides, I'm sure Satella won't just leave us on the streets."

" still believe her, don't you?"

Subaru raised his eyebrow at the statement, "What are you talking abou-?"

"What are you guys talking about?" Satella's sudden interruption caused both to flinch before dismissing their argument as some trivial matter to her. In hindsight, Subaru should have seen this coming. Side characters always dislike being isekaied at first. It's not a lasting worry because they always come around to it. Still, he'll try to be more considerate of his party members in the future.

Walking up ahead, there was a fork in the road. It was getting dark, so they had to hurry. The fastest method would be to spli-

"Let's split up. I'll go right, while you guys go left." Ryuu's sudden suggestion caused both Subaru and Satella to be shocked. It would make far more sense for Subaru and Ryuu to go together if being rational because Satella had magic. She was strong enough to survive on her own but talking into account Ryuu's earlier outburst, maybe he just wanted space. So before Satella could object, Subaru agreed. Ryuu was smart enough not to bite off more than he could chew. If he notices trouble, he'll back out.

With the decision made, they separated. Satella seemed worried, asking if he'd be okay, to which Ryuu assured her that he'd be fine. He'll not advance on the thieves until they reach him. Even with that said, her worries could not be put to rest. Trying to change the mood, Subaru mentions this is his first time being alone with a girl since grade school. He somehow failed to see how that would raise so many red flags. Fortunately, Satella's reminder that she can use magic was more than enough to make him see the stupidity of what he just said and try to save himself from looking like a creep.

Finally, seeing the loot house, Subaru internally cheers for choosing the correct path. Subaru offers to go in first, something to which Satella agrees. "You agreed just like that? No 'Leaving something like to someone as useless as you? Unlikely! I laughing just at the thought of this?!' and then my feelings would hurt, but I still would make up my mind to help you."

"I would never say something so mean. Of course, I would be lying if I said that you guys haven't been slowing me down but..." she paused to see the fake hurt expression he had on his face, "But I'll trying believing in you." catching the boy off guard "If it goes well, I'll consider it a bonus."

Not the 'Do you best' speech he wanted, but it'll do. Feeling another surge of motivation coursing through him, he walks in towards the door, making a 'Don't wait up for dinner' joke and telling Satella not to come in until he says so. Her response was weird, basically saying if he gets her insignia back, she'll apologize. 'Weird.'

Going in, he could make it out from what little light he had that this was not a very clean place. The wood was starting to rot, the floor creaked, and the smell was awful. But then this place has all sorts of shiny and valuable trinkets. Is it a demon next or a snake pit? In a fantasy world, both are possible. But the even more pressing question is that, why is nobody here? It seems stupid of thieves to leave this place unguarded. It can't b-

Subaru stopped when his leg touched something wet. Slowly he looks down to blood. Lots of blood. Gulping, he follows the trail up until he sees a giant man sitting with a missing arm. His eyes are open and lifeless.

"Oh you found that?" suddenly came the soft and frighteningly calm voice of a woman. "Well then I have no choice." before Subaru could reply, he was struck very hard. His body went rolling away from the voice and landed on the cold wooden floor. It felt as if he was burning. The pain in his stomach was unbearable. He tried to get up, but the pain only increased tenfolds. He looks down to see blood. His blood. This can't... this can't be! How can this be his blood? This is bad. This is bad. This is very bad. This is-

He hears the door open "Subaru? Is something wrong?"

"No! RUN AWAY! Hurry!" his attempt at yelling failed when his body could only produce sounds barely louder than a whisper. Then he hears Satella getting struck. Her lifeless body fell towards the floor just as his did. He can see her through the moonlight that was slipping in through the roof. Despite the pain being unbearable, he slowly reaches out for her hand. He holds her hand and says the only thing he's thinking "I'm...I'm going to...save you!" before his vision goes black.

Subaru's eye slowly opens. It's taking a moment for his vision to get clear. His head seems to on a soft and furry surface. He hears two gasps. His eyes focused on two figures. One was wearing a white and purple dress, while the other wore a blue and white hoodie. Ryuu and Satella.

"What th-" he hears Ryuu says as he looks at his wrist, a purple light was escaping his sleeve. He pulls it back it see the stone in the bracelet was glowing brightly.

End Notes:-

I know I said Subaru would still be the main character and then proceeded to focus most of it on Ryuu, but arc one is not going to change much, so I thought I should change up the perspective.

Also, the Satella scene. The girl literally turns her head, thinks for a moment, and then tells her name. You could not be more obvious that you are lying, but somehow Subaru couldn't tell that she was lying. Idk, maybe it's because I'm pretty much an expert at being rejected that I find that incredibly dumb of Subaru.

Fuck there is too much dialogue in this. That's what I get for using the anime for reference. I will work on it for the next chapter.

The number of times Grammarly tried to correct Satella's spelling to Stella is so high, it drives up the wall. (The grammar a little iffy on some parts, I'll correct them later don't worry, you can point it out to make it easier for me.)

I still have a few primary concepts that I want to iron out, but that's for later. I might make a poll or something.

Let me know what you think of this. Is it absolute shit, really horrible, or just plain bad?

Thanks for Reading!
