After being airlifted from Boise, the Settle Grace staff finally arrive back home in Settle. All is well. At this current moment, Arizona still has her leg; Mark is alive and well. They were all able to get Lexie from under the plane debris, and Lexie is alive and being treated for her injuries. They all are.

"Lexie, I want Lexie,"

Mark gasps to Jackson. Just as Julia walks in, the room falls into an awkward silence. "Mark do you not love me?" Julia is in shock.

Out of breath, Mark sighs. "Julia?"

"Mark, answer me, do you not love me?"

Jackson stands there, watching, eyes wide open, seeing Mark trying to think of an answer that will not hurt Julia. "Mark?"

Mark is in a daze "Lexie."

Julia just walks out of the room; Mark then asks Jackson, "How do I tell her? I don't love her as much as Lexie?"

"Do what you need to do, Sloan."

Julia walks into the room as Jackson leaves. "Julia, listen I love Lexie."

"What?"

"Lexie, I love her"

Julia walks out for good.

Then Callie walks in with Sofia. "Did Julia just walk out crying?"

"I told her I love Lexie."

Callie laughs, "You're joking."

"No."

"Mark, wow."

Callie hands over Sofia to Mark, and Mark brings up Arizona, "Arizona?"

"She's fine, we have surgery planned to hopefully save the leg on Thursday."

"Good, good, I'll be there if she needs some sense knocked into her, don't you worry."

"MARK!"

"Anyways, any news on Lexie, is she off the ventilator?"

"No, not yet, Grey is with her, waiting, we all are."

"You let me know, right away."

"Okay, Sofia has to go back to daycare."

Mark is left alone as the new interns and the residents come in to do afternoon rounds.

"Mark Sloan, 44, Cardiac Tamponade as a result of a small plane crash. The patient received in-field treatment and received proper treatment after being airlifted to Boise. After treatment, the patient is experiencing tiredness and daziness and is under observation and will be discharged after these symptoms ease."

Mark says, "Intern, whose service are you on?"

"Ah, the new Cardio Attendings, sir."

"Ok, who here is on Plastics?"

An intern raises their hand "name?"

"Wilson, Jo Wilson."

"Wilson, are on Avery's service?"

"Yes, sir."

"Okay, good go get coffee, bone dry cappachino."

"But sir, I'm not on your service."

"You are on Avery's service, and guess who's fellow he is? Mine, so you are on my service, coffee, go, go."

Jo runs out while the other attendings continue rounds. Mark thinks to himself, how do I tell her I love her? Do I tell her about Julia? Do I run up to her when she wakes up and yell, "Little Grey, I love you so much!"

Do I let it go and let her tell me? No, I will say to her that I love her as I did before. I can do it.

That night Derek comes in, and the McBrothers are annoying the hell out of each other. Then Callie runs in, "DEREK, COME QUICK!"

This worries Mark as is Lexie coding or is she waking up? An hour later, Mark pages Callie and asks, "Torres? Little Grey is that why you got Derek?"

Callie smiles and nods. "She's awake Mark, still on the vent but awake, Grey and Shepherd are with her now."

"Well, can I see her?"

"I don't know, you're not on the nurses good side."

Mark laughs, and Callie smiles, "I've got to get back to Arizona, before I go home for the night with Sofia, I'll see you tommorow."

Mark is left alone for the night, and he keeps trying to convince the nurses to take him to see Lexie, but most of the nurses don't like him, with the Anti-Sloan Club and all. "I just want Lexie to be here", Mark sighs as he falls asleep.

In the morning, Mark gets some good news if he can stay the way he is. To this time, tomorrow he can go home, be with Lexie. Mark is an absolute joy. It will still be a few weeks until he can return to work and boss around his interns, but he can be by Lexie's side without the nurse's permission. Callie walks in, and Mark tells her the good news, "good news Torres, I can go home tomorrow if I'm stable, but I know I am going to be, this body knows."

"Mark, that's great, but I'm not here to chat, just a quick hi before I go into surgery."

Callie leaves for surgery. Jackson comes in as Callie leaves "how you going sir?"

"Good, Avery, Good, I'm going home tomorrow but please let your interns know that there also on my service."

"Yes, Mark I will, I have surgery I have to go."

Alex soon starts running towards Arizona's Room before Running down to the OR, probably to Callies OR. Mark jumps out of bed and runs to Arizona's room, much to the nurse's dismay. Arizona is septic. "Robbins, snap out of it, Sofia needs you."

Alex back and yells, "PREP AN OR FOR AN ABOVE KNEE AMPUTATION, STAT!"

"Karev, what is happening?"

"Robbins is sepic the leg needs to be amputated now."

Mark is ushered back into bed as Alex disappears into the halls of Seattle Grace towards the OR's

"I want Sofia, Sofia needs to be with someone right now, get her out of daycare, now."

No one listens; he pages an intern. "Good you're here, go get my kid from daycare."

The intern brings Sofia to Mark, "There she is she, you can go now."

Mark just holds Sofia. Sofia did not need Mark; she's one; Mark needed her. Mark just sits there holding Sofia. A few hours later, Alex is back to let Mark know Arizona is okay and alive. Mark holds up Sofia. "You hear that Sofia? Mama's okay, shes going to be okay."

Callie does not visit Mark that night as she spent it with Arizona. Sofia spends the night with a sitter. The following day Mark is discharged and immediately goes to Lexie and spends the day by Lexie's side. Later that day, she's off the vent and awake. Best of all, she's talking.
