WARNING WARNING WARNING

CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR BOOK 13, THE DANGEROUS GIFTS, although it isn't too much spoilers, it's some, so I suggest to avoid this if you wish to not read any slight spoilers. Also I do not own the WoF franchise in anyway, this is a fanfiction merely about it

This takes place a few days after the events of the dragons being chosen for the "secret stealth team" and where Queen Snowfall is back in the Icewing kingdom.

Snowfall thought that maybe things would be easier now with The Wall gone and all the other stuff she had destroyed. Which they had, but being queen was still as hard as ever. But, with Lynx gone, she was starting to feel alone and bored within the palace. All the duties of queen weighing her down without her cheery friend.

"Your majesty," an elderly council member said. "I suggest based off your unorthodox, recent decisions, perhaps we could participate in more intertribal affairs, such as trade and diplomacy building activities, as well as others."

Boring boring BORING.

Snowfall gave an exasperated sigh quietly, and said, "Yes ,yes, send a message to Queen Ruby about it, as well as Queen Thorn."

"Very well then, we'll send one right away," he replied and then quickly whispered something to their servant, then the servant walked out of the chamber and out of sight.

Snowfall shifted in her seat, getting very bored with this whole council thing.

I should definitely go on another "diplomatic trip" again sometime soon.

"Now onto the next matter at hand, about your Royal Decree of Not Eating Scavengers, what exactly should be done to enforce this and punish rule breakers?" he asked around.

"I say we educate the dragonets and older dragons about it, although it is quite costly, it is definitely effective," one of the other elder dragons said in a rasping voice.

"No, we should enforce it as any other law, with force and harsh punishments against those who break it!" another dragon across the chamber exclaimed, slightly younger than the first.

"That's not how we should handle new information like this!" the elder dragon from before exclaimed back.

Their squabbling is certainly annoying.

I wish I could stuff fish in their mouths, and they would stop arguing.

"Why don't we stuff them in igloos if they break the rules!" Snowfall exclaimed with enormous enthusiasm.

The other dragons in the council looked at her and then one suggested, "Why don't we go with your plan Gelid, I agree with it," he said nodding, others soon agreeing as well.

While his opponent grumbled but otherwise stayed silent.

They NEVER think my idea is the best, even though IT IS.

I should definitely tell them to educate them about calling them humans [I still can't get my grips on that word] if we are going with his plan. Butttttt, that's for next time, we still have a few more BORING meetings to get through.

I can't wait for Lynx to get back, and maybe a tweensy bit of me wants to see that adorable skywing again.

(Alright, yes, I'll admit, the skywing is adorable, and funny, and just, whatever.)

The council then began to disperse, with Snowfall heading towards her chamebrs, followed by a servant.

An idea began forming within Snowfall's head, one that she recalled from a few days previously.

I should rename some towns and cities! Yes! This is an AMAZING idea, so no more "Where Whales Set on the Sunset, instead, it can just be Whales! This is AWESOME, I need to set up a meeting for this soon.

"Blizzard," she called to the servant following her.

"Set up another council meeting as soon as possible for Renaming Cities and Towns," she told her.

"Yes, your majesty," she said, bowing, and then breaking off into another hallway.

There're no way those younger council dragons can't possibly disagree with me on this, who in the Great Ice Spirits would want to remember such a long name? NOT ME. The elders are just boring all about tradition and everything else.

Snowfall reached her chambers, now accompanied by another servant whom Snowfall then ordered to go do something else while her guards took up positions around her door.

Another day finally finished, at least I don't have to wear that heavy crown or do The Wall every night. That's something to look forward to every day.

Well, it is late at night, and I'm exhausted from today's activities, and tomorrow will be the same.

Mink should be asleep by now, so there should be no more surprises as two days ago.

She slides into the impressions, smaller than them herself, and then begins to drift into the abyss of sleep.

The Next Day…

Another Council Meeting…

"I think we should change some of the towns and cities names to something more memorable and easy to say," Snowfall concluded to all of the council members around the room.

"I disagree, we would be usurping many years of tradition for those towns and cities, as well as their honor and pride in their naming," an elderly dragon said to Snowfall, whom of which she did not recognize.

"I agree with the Queen, those long names are certainly a nuisance, especially when we are trying to keep things short, effective, and efficient in communicating," a young Icewing a few seats from the first said.

"Absolutely not! We cannot simply change a cities name for just the 'convenience' of a few dragons!" a far more burly, older dragon roared near the younger one.

Immediately, the council erupted into hot debate and chaos, with shouts and arguments running rampant throughout the circular room.

This is why decision making takes FOREVER.

"Ahem," Snowfall said, to gather their attention.

"Well, why don't we make a compromise then? Instead of renaming each one, how about just a few," she explained to the gathered council members.

"Especially the long ones," she muttered to herself, with luckily no one had heard.

"I don't agree entirely with this, although it is something, perhaps we could test by renaming a few cities, and see the reactions of the citizens that occupy it, and see if it works out," another elderly dragon said, whom of which was advocating against it before.

"That sounds comprisable, but which cities shall we rename?" Aquilo asked around.

"I have a few ideas-," Snowfall began, but was abruptly cut off by the same roaring, elderly dragon from before.

"NO! This is not comprisable! We would be destroying traditions, honor, everything!" he roared.

Snowfall, now rather annoyed by his rudeness, began, "Adeilie, how about, one, don't interrupt the queen. Two, this was my idea so it's going to happen, but I'm willing to compromise, so please be quiet and be negotiable," she ended, with a deadly tone towards the end.

"Yes, your majesty," he said, looking away from her.

Majesty… mother….

"My Queen? Shall you continue?" Aquilo asked her.

"Yes, yes, sorry, anyways, as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted was that I would like to suggest the first four cities we should rename should be; Where Whales Set on the Sunset, The Narwhals Secret Bay of Tuna, Great Penguins of Twin Peaks, The Wholesame Waves of the Ocean Set Here," she finished.

Snowfall did a quick survey around the room, and pretty much all of the younger council members were nodding and discussing what seemed to be in agreement now, as well as a few of the elderly ones, but the majority of them seemed to be not pleased.

"Seems fair enough, any complaints or objections about the chosen cities names to be changed, if not, I would like to here the Queen's suggestions for their new names," North stated to everyone.

A few of the older dragons muttered something among themselves, but otherwise they mostly kept to themselves.

"I thought that maybe we could change Where Whales Set on the Sunset to 'Whales', The Narwhals Secret Bay of Tuna to 'Narwhal', Great Penguins of Twin Peaks to 'Twin Peaks', and The Wholesome Waves of the Ocean Set Here to 'Waves'," she finished.

"I think that's a fair comprise and idea, I must admit, it is rather hard to remember those ones," Gelid admitted.

"Thank you, now, do we all agree with this now before we move onto the records and other stuff?" she asked the council.

All the dragons were pretty much in agreement, some grumbled but it went fairly well and they then continued onto the more tedious things that Snowfall considered "BORING".

Author's Note: That's it for this one, I don't think there will be any installations to this story, but yeah, hoped yall enjoyed it, although it was pretty boring, I still liked it. I can understand if it's boring to you guys.

One thing I like to do is that if I use an already existing OC from the WoF franchise, I like to make it sound as authentic as possible, to get the most accurate reactions from them that I think they would make, so if you're wondering why I don't post a lot, two reasons, 1. I am lazy, 2. I try to get Canon OC's decisions and personality in my stories as accurate as possible. Which means I do a lot of research into them, and rereading a lot of books.
