And here's the the first chapter of my new fic for Iron Man 3. This chapter is kinda short due but they do pick up as the story goes.

Disclaimer: I do not own Iron Man 3 or any of the awesome characters. I only own my ocs and any plot changes I make.

It had been almost a year since the battle of New York and things had been peaceful. I wish I could say my love life was peaceful but I guess when you date Tony Stark, that's not gonna happen.

Our relationship had been going great and we had gotten closer but all of a sudden, he suddenly started distancing himself from me and it caused a huge fight between us.

"Tony, are you serious right now?!" I yelled angrily as I walked into his lab.

"I'm always serious." Tony said, sounding sarcastic and I was not in the mood.

"I'm not in the mood, Tony. We decide to go out tonight and you just call me out of the blue, with no reason whatsoever, and tell me that the date is off. What is wrong with you?" I asked angrily as I slammed my hand down.

"Nothing is wrong with me. I just don't feel like going out tonight. Is that so wrong?" Tony asked, becoming annoyed.

"No, it's not wrong, but the fact you've spent the last 2 weeks in here and barely talking to me is. What is going on, Tony?" I asked, lowering my voice and showing genuine concern. Tony had been acted weird the last couple of weeks and I was becoming worried. "I'm worried about you."

"I promise you that I'm fine. Look, I need space and you're not helping. Why don't you just leave and leave me alone." Tony shot back. I stood there frozen in shock and hurt. I sighed.

"Fine!" I said angrily and left the house.

I hadn't talked to him since and I was done. During our separation, I began seeing a man I met named Aldrich Killian. He was sweet and showered me with attention. I did like him but of course, he wasn't Tony and I hadn't fully gotten over him and I had told Aldrich that but he was fine with it. He told me to take the time that I needed to heal and I was grateful. I remember when I first met him.

I was sitting at a café, reading a book. It was my day off from Stark Industries. It had been a week since Tony and I split. I got up to go get a snack when I accidentally ran into someone. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry." I said, quickly.

"It's all right. No harm done." A guy said. I looked up and saw that he had blonde hair that was slicked and tanned skin. I had to admit that he was handsome. "I'm Aldrich Killian."

"Amber Caine." I introduced.

"Beautiful name for a beautiful woman." He said with a smile and I couldn't help but blush.

"Uh, thanks." I said, grabbing my book and coffee. "I really do need to go. It was nice meeting you." I said as I began to leave.

"Wait." Aldrich said. "I would like to meet you again. Here's my number." He said as he handed me a business card. Advanced Idea Mechanics. Huh.

"Um, I'll think about it." I said. "Bye." I left the café and headed home. I thought about it for a while and decided to call. What the hell? It's not like Tony and I are a thing now.

I was brought out of my thoughts when my TV suddenly had an interference, showing things blowing up and destruction. What the hell? I turned up the volume on my TV as a man appeared on the screen.

"Some people call me a terrorist." A voice said as more yelling and gunshots could be heard in a edited video. "I consider myself a teacher. America. Ready for another lesson? In 1864, in Sand Creek, Colorado, the US military waited until the friendly Cheyenne braves had all gone hunting. Waited to attack and slaughter the families left behind and claim their land. Thirty-nine hours ago, the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait was attacked. I...I...I did that. A quaint military church filled with wives and children of course. The soldiers were out on maneuvers. The braves were away. President Ellis. You continue to resist my attempts to educate you, sir. And now you've missed me again." It was followed by more yelling and gunshots. "You know who I am. You don't know where I am, and you'll never see me coming."

After the video, it went back to the scheduled program but was soon interrupted to the news talking about the video. Something was not right at all.
