This is the third installment of my Chapter series, taking place over time, with each chapter representing a moment in Beca Mitchell's college years and beyond. I would consider it canon; of course, the later years, that take place after "Pitch Perfect 3" are merely the conjecture of an avid BeChloe fan. These are the movie nights that Beca and the Barden Bellas enjoyed during their time together…
Movie Night!
Chapter One: Freshman Follies
"Aubrey, you are not being fair at all!" Chloe sobbed angrily.
Fat Amy, who was walking through the foyer of the Bella House, where Aubrey and Chloe stood, yelling at each other, paused her trip to the kitchen when she saw how upset the ginger was. "Hey, Red, what's the matter?" She stared pointedly at Aubrey, who, just as pointedly, looked away.
"Aubrey is being unreasonable!" Chloe announced, tears of frustration cascading down her soft, silken cheeks.
"Okay," Amy said, narrowing her eyes at Aubrey. Chloe was usually a very agreeable person, got along well with everyone, rarely at odds with anyone, but when she argued with her Bella co-captain, it nearly always had something to do with… "what did Beca do now?" she asked knowingly.
"She hasn't done anything!" Chloe insisted, her little tear-stained face turning fierce in defense of her beloved favorite. "She's a part of our Bella family!"
"Well, of course she is," Amy readily agreed. "No arguments here. So, what's the problem, then?"
"Chloe!" Aubrey hissed glaringly at her, pointing a finger in the redhead's direction.
The sobbing ginger backed up and hid behind Amy. The Australian grew worried. If Chloe felt threatened enough to hide behind her, maybe Aubrey was more unstable than any of them had actually imagined.
"The Bellas have movie night here at the Bella House every Friday night! All of the Bellas are welcome to attend!" Chloe told her, practically shouting into Amy's ear. "But- but Aubrey says that Beca can't join us!"
"Dammit, Chloe!" Aubrey growled at her, looking as if she wanted to murder her best friend. Or, who used to be her best friend. Ever since that little pip squeak, Beca Mitchell, had come into their lives, Chloe had been a complete shit, going against everything Aubrey said, defying her left and right, and all because of that damn, little alt-girl!
"Why can't Beca come to movie night?" Amy asked her straight out. She knew Chloe had this adorable girl toner for the freshman, but even Beca, as snarky and aloof as she could be, was genuinely likable, and a solid member of the group. All of the Bellas liked her… except for Aubrey, of course, who seemed to make it her personal mission to make things difficult for the little DJ whenever possible.
"Oh, come on, she doesn't even live here with the rest of us!" Aubrey exclaimed haughtily. "And she doesn't want to! She makes it perfectly clear that she doesn't want to really be a part of the club. She's not a true Bel-"
"Stop it! Stop it! Stop!" Chloe shouted, refusing to listen, as she covered her ears like an upset child.
"That is pretty fucked up, Aubrey," Amy pointed out.
"Hey, what's all of the commotion out here?" Cynthia Rose asked, as she and the other Bellas ventured out into the foyer.
"Chloe, what's wrong?" Stacie asked, kindly. "Are we about to have a fire drill? Does the loud noise hurt your nodes, or something?"
"Chloe, you are behaving deplorably!" Aubrey insisted, scolding her like a naughty kindergartner, in front of all the other Bellas.
"No, you are!" the redhead dared to shout back, glaring at her blond friend. "And you are being purposely mean to my Beca!"
"Your Beca?" Aubrey repeated in disgust. "I swear, you're losing it, Chloe! You are totally obsessed with that little urchin… and she doesn't even give one little shit about you, anyway!"
"She's not an urchin!" Chloe insisted fervently, tears still flowing down her reddened cheeks. "She's an artist, and a beautiful soul! And… she does care about… us all…"
"That's right, Chloe, Beca does care," Amy agreed sympathetically. "Especially about you."
"Really?" the beautiful young woman asked hopefully.
All the others chuckled quietly.
"God, she has it, bad," Stacie whispered, and the rest of the girls nodded in agreement.
"Can someone please just tell us what the hell is going on here?" Cynthia Rose asked again, growing more confused and agitated by the second.
"Okay, so here's the gist of this weird ass argument," Amy was glad to elaborate. "Chloe wants to invite Beca to our movie night this coming Friday, but Aubrey doesn't want her to, on the grounds that Beca doesn't live here at the Bella House."
"That sounds petty," Stacie blurted, looking at Aubrey.
"Not any more petty than Beca refusing to come live here!" Aubrey shot back, her chest heaving in anger.
"I told you, Aubs," Chloe sobbed, "Beca said that her dad had arranged for her to live in the dorms, and she's not allowed to live here until next year!"
Aubrey rolled her eyes. "That's an aca-lie, and you know it!"
Some of the other Bellas gasped in surprise at such a bold declaration.
"You take that back!" Chloe howled, her big blue eyes still full of tears, turning red and puffy.
"No!" Aubrey muttered defiantly. "I will NOT!"
"Well, regardless of how you feel about her personally, Aubrey," Stacie told her sensibly, "she is a real, official Bella, just like the rest of us."
"Yeah," Cynthia Rose agreed, stepping up next to Stacie, secretly basking in her statuesque beauty. "So, if Chloe wants to keep her little pet with her all the time, just let her. It's not going to hurt anyone."
"She's not my pet," Chloe sniffled. "She's my favorite!"
Aubrey visibly cringed.
"Same difference, really," Amy mentioned.
"Beca is Chloe's love machine," Lilly whispered. Thankfully, no one heard her. She shrugged and left the foyer, venturing into the kitchen, where she had put some sushi in the freezer, that she wanted to thaw out…
"Well, if Beca doesn't get to come to movie nights, I won't be here either!" Chloe announced, folding her arms across her chest.
"Aca-scuse me?" Aubrey hissed. "Chloe, this whole stupid movie night idea was yours in the first place!"
"I don't care!" the redhead replied most stubbornly. "If I can't have Beca, then I don't want to be there!"
"Whatever, Chloe!"
"Hey, if Beca and Chloe aren't going to be there, I'll probably just go out and find some parties to crash," Amy said.
"Me, too," Stacie agreed.
"I've got a paper to write for history, anyway," Cynthia Rose added. "It's due on Monday, so I might as well get a head start on it…"
"We've got a DVD player in our room now," Jessica mentioned.
"And lot's of movies," Ashley informed them.
"Fine!" Aubrey grumbled. "That leaves Denise, and-"
"I'll probably just study with Cynthia Rose," Denise told her, looking longingly at the Black Beauty, who was currently looking longingly at Stacie.
"Great!" Aubrey groaned. "Then that leaves me with just… um…"
"Lilly," Amy said, with a catlike grin. "Just you and Lilly…"
"Oh, Jesus Christ, fine!" Aubrey finally conceded, having no intention of spending an evening alone with the woman nobody could ever hear, and who, when she could be heard, usually said some rather disturbing things. The blond shot daggers at Chloe. "Go ahead, then, and invite your precious little Beca!" By the end of her tirade, she was seething.
"Thanks!" Chloe replied, all smiles again. "I will!" And she ran out the front door, anxiously heading straight for Beca's dorm a few blocks over.
"Has she not heard of cell phones and texting?" Cynthia Rose asked incredulously.
"Yeah, but if she just texted a message, she couldn't see Beca's face in person," Amy reminded her.
"And she couldn't caress her shoulder or her arm through a text," Stacie added, smiling knowingly. "You know how she likes to touch Beca whenever she's near."
The rest of the Bellas began to chuckle, nodding in agreement.
"This conversation is making me sick!" Aubrey announced, and she turned on her heel, storming up the stairs to her room.
"How nice of her to not cut loose downstairs," Amy cracked, recalling that rather graphic video they saw on YouTube a few days ago, of their Bella captain puking all over the audience from the last public Bella performance. Everyone laughed in agreement.
"You know, I bet that Aubrey would rather see Chloe fall for a Treble than for Beca," Stacie theorized. "I think she hates Beca more than any of those guys."
"True dat," Cynthia Rose agreed.
"Well, either way, I think it's a little late to stop nature taking its course," Amy surmised. "Chloe is Captain Obvious when it comes to Beca. The other day, I saw Red recording our attendance at Bella rehearsal. Everyone had a check mark by their name, except for Beca's, who had little hearts drawn all around hers."
"Wow," Stacie sighed, echoing all of the other Bella's thoughts on that subject…

Beca sat on her bed, in her dorm room, trying to study for an upcoming test. She was finding it incredibly difficult to do so, as Kimmy Jin and some of her friends were there with her, playing virtual reality games and talking loudly and laughing up a storm. It made the little DJ grumble under her breath, fervently wishing she'd had her own dorm room… or at least, a better roommate.
There was a knock at the door, and Kimmy Jin, who was expecting another friend or two, opened it gleefully, until… "Ugh! It's another white girl!"
This made Beca perk up. Apparently, her roommate did not have a great fondness for Caucasians, so maybe it was actually someone to see her.
"Oh, hello, friends!" Beca heard Chloe's sweet, chipper voice ring out, and it made her smile, in spite of herself. "Is Beca here, by any chance?"
Beca's heart warmed, even as she sighed. Was Chloe's appearance here going to cause any more strife between she and her roommate?
Kimmy Jin didn't respond to Chloe, which pissed Beca off. She was always respectful to her roommate and polite to her friends. But the surly Kimmy Jin did move aside to allow Chloe inside. The beautiful redhead wandered in, all sweetness and light, seemingly oblivious to all of the hostility that was being thrown in her direction. She spotted Beca sitting back on her bed, and made a beeline for her. She sat down, as Beca quickly moved her geometry book aside to make room for her. Their eyes met, and Chloe smiled lovingly at her, which caused the freshman to offer an awkward smile back, hoping that she wasn't blushing. She averted her gaze, but looked up again, when she felt that familiar soft, gentle, warm hand rest upon her arm.
"Hey, Becs, how are you?"
"Uh…" she glanced up at Kimmy Jin and her friends. They were all currently glaring at them. Chloe didn't seem to notice or care, though. She kept those baby blues focused solely on her. "I… hey, you want to get out of here, Chlo?"
"Sure, Becs. Whatever you want, honey."
Beca blushed a little, glancing over at her roommate, who thankfully, was interacting with her friends, and ignoring the little DJ once again.
"Um, do you mind if we go to the campus library, or somewhere quiet, though?" Beca asked apologetically. "I really need to study for this stupid geometry test."
"Of course, I don't mind!" Chloe agreed cheerfully. She grabbed up Beca's geometry book, as well as the notebook lying open from her friend's lap, also snagging a couple of pencils to use as bookmarks. "Need anything else?" she asked.
"Oh… um, no, I think you got… everything…" Beca replied, feeling a little embarrassed that the elder Bella was carrying her books.
"Great! Come on, love," Chloe called, already heading towards the door. "Nice to see you, Kimmy Jin, and friends," she added, waving happily at them.
Kimmy Jin looked slightly bewildered, but she did wave back, probably a knee jerk type of reaction. It made Beca chuckle quietly. Apparently, Chloe just had that effect on everybody, with her sweet and sunny outlook on life.
The small brunette stood up, and slipped on her shoes, following the lovely redhead out the door, down the hall, and outside, where the sun was shining, and flowers were blooming. Most would say that it was a beautiful day.
"I know a place you can study, besides the library, if you want a prettier view," she heard Chloe say. "It's quiet, and outdoors, so we'll get plenty of fresh air!"
Beca inhaled the air deeply… and began to cough. "Yep, fresh air. Sounds great, Chloe."
Chloe squealed in delight, took her favorite by the hand, and started off through the campus, leading onward, still carrying Beca's books. Truthfully, Beca had a hard time keeping up with her. Chloe's legs were slightly longer, and it looked as though she had done a lot more cardio than Beca ever had in her lifetime. When the redhead realized that Beca's little legs had a harder time keeping up with her, she slowed considerably, moving at more leisurely pace, without saying anything about it.
Soon, Beca found herself in a rather secluded area of the campus, beyond the athletics building. There were a lot of trees, and a few empty picnic tables, which were shaded nicely by all of the foliage. Fragrant flowers bloomed somewhere nearby, and blue and yellow butterflies were fluttering most poetically on the cool breeze that wafted through the area. It looked like Chloe, in nature form.
"So, this is Chloe-land," Beca whispered in amusement. She sat down at one of the picnic tables.
"Is this place okay for you?" Chloe asked hopefully.
Beca grinned. "It's… perfect, Chloe. So, what did you want to see me about?"
"Well, first, let me help you study for your geometry test," Chloe offered sweetly.
Beca suddenly had to force herself to think about baseball, Aubrey yelling at her, pigs rutting in the mud, stinky feet- ANYTHING other than what she was thinking right now. All she could picture in her head was Chloe, naked in the shower with her from the month before. This wasn't the first time it had happened either. It was frankly getting ridiculous. "You don't have to help me, or anything," she began, currently trying to picture her dad sitting in his La-Z-Boy, and farting up a storm, after eating Mexican food.
"I don't mind."
"Well, it's pretty complex, and…"
"And you don't think a dumb a Capella girl can handle it," Chloe laughed good-naturedly.
"I never said that," Beca told her, sounding defensive, and Chloe stopped laughing, looking at her with an unsure expression. Not wanting to hurt or alienate the one person Beca felt safe and happy around, she gently added, "Nothing dumb about you, Chloe."
Chloe offered her another million dollar smile, as she reached out to caress the freshman's arm, instantly putting her at ease over her earlier faux pas. "Thank you, Beca."
"Um, so… do you know something about geometry?" Beca asked, blushing.
"Oh, sure! Took it as a freshman myself," Chloe told her. "May I have a look, sweetie?" She held out a hand for the text book.
"Okay…" Beca handed it to her with a shrug.

Thirty minutes later…
"And that is because, if you remember, each angle in an equilateral triangle is…?"
"Uh… sixty degrees?" Beca responded, hopefully.
"Exactly!" the redhead beamed proudly at her, something Beca wasn't used to experiencing, outside of her parents, and even then, not that often. "I think you've got the hang of geometry now, Becs! You're totes ready for your exam, I'd say! Great job!"
Beca blushed, but more than being embarrassed, she was impressed. It wasn't that she thought Chloe was an idiot, or anything, but the Bella senior certainly hadn't struck her as some sort of geometry whiz kid. She was just full of surprises.
"Thank you, Chloe," Beca replied, "and if I'm ready at all, it's because of your great teaching."
This time, Chloe blushed a little, and Beca wondered if this was the first time she had been praised for anything beyond singing. "You're an apt pupil," the redhead told her, smiling.
The little freshman chuckled at Chloe's phrasing. It sounded so corny, old fashioned… and completely endearing. "Thanks, again."
"So, since you're done with geometry," Chloe went on, reaching across the picnic table to take Beca's hand and give it a gentle squeeze, "would you like to go get some dinner? My treat!"
It surprised Beca how eager she was to say yes, but alas, she still had work to do. With regret, she squeezed back, and mumbled, "I'm sorry, Chloe. I'd love to, but I still have a ton of studying to do. Have a lot of exams on Fridays."
"That's all right," Chloe easily brushed off the disappointment, hoping to still be of help to her beloved little favorite. "I can assist you in probably all of your subjects."
"I'm sure you could, but I've got this," Beca avowed, not wanting to feel as though she were taking advantage of Chloe's knowledge, or her sweet nature. "It'll just take some time."
"Gotcha," Chloe replied with a wink. "Well, shall I walk you back, then?"
"Sure, if you want to," Beca told her, always fearful of overstepping her bounds. She stood, and before she could grab her books, Chloe did it for her. The act made Chloe feel romantic. It made Beca feel awkward.
"Oh, hey," Beca said, as they began the trek back through the waning afternoon, the setting sun casting a beautiful glow in Chloe's ginger locks, "what was it you wanted to see me about anyway?"
"I wanted you to come to a Bella event!" the redhead announced in excitement.
"Do we have something coming up, besides rehearsal?" Beca asked in confusion. "I just checked the schedule, but I didn't see anything."
"No, it's not a performance," the ginger informed her. "It's a movie night! On Fridays at the Bella House, all of us sisters get together, take turns picking a movie, and we have popcorn and candy, we snuggle up together in the living room, and enjoy a flick, as well as each other's company! Sometimes we finish late, so you could spend the night, if you want. You could sleep with me… I mean, you can sleep in my bed… and I can sleep on the floor next to you. I have a sleeping bag."
Beca looked into Chloe's eager face, saw the sun shining in her bright, blue eyes and she felt… incredibly nervous. Just the idea of sharing a bed- or sleeping quarters of any kind- with Chloe seemed a little scary. There was too much weird tension between them already. The very thought of the beautiful redhead's delectable body pressed up against her in slumber, just…
Forcing herself to breathe, as the thoughts she had in her head were nearly causing her to swoon, Beca finally looked her friend in the eye and said, "Nah. I'll pass."
Chloe couldn't help the frown that appeared on her surprised face. "You… what? But why?"
The freshman shrugged. "Not really into movies all that much. They're pretty lame."
"Lame?" Chloe murmured, heartbroken. She nodded, then dutifully walked Beca back to her dorm, still carrying her books. But she remained unusually silent.
Beca walked beside Chloe, wondering what was wrong. But she didn't ask her. Didn't say anything at all. She really didn't know what to say. Beca had never exactly been a social butterfly. She felt out of place and awkward around most people. While that feeling wasn't completely there when she spent time with Chloe, being with the beautiful woman made her feel uncertain about herself, nervous, maybe a little horny. It was all very confusing.
Soon, they made it back to Beca's dorm. She took her books back from Chloe. "Well, thanks again, for all the help. See you at rehearsal tomorrow, right, Chlo?"
"Y-yeah… Bye, Beca…" and the redhead left her there, at the entryway to the dorm, just as the sky turned twilight. Beca could see her sniffling.
The young DJ sighed. Women were just too damn complicated!

The next day at rehearsal, Beca noticed right away that something was off with Chloe. Her singing- and it had nothing to do with her nodes- as well as her dancing and choreography were not quite up to her usual caliber. Aubrey kept yelling mercilessly at her. Chloe finally had enough, and left early, in tears. Beca had wanted to chase after her, but a scathing look from Aubrey kept her firmly in line.
It needn't have mattered. Just after Chloe left, Aubrey, who was thoroughly pissed off at her best friend, and perpetually disappointed in the rest of the girls, called an end to rehearsal. Nobody was listening to her, anyway, as they were angry at her, too, for berating Chloe in front of them all.
Beca grabbed her backpack, preparing to rush to her next class, and was hoping to run into Chloe on the way, to find out what was wrong. She really didn't like to involve herself in any unnecessary drama, but Chloe was a sweet person, and she was always very caring towards her, so she felt it was the least she could do. Turns out, she wouldn't have to…
"Hey, Beca," Fat Amy called to her, before the little freshman could make it to the door.
Turning back, Beca regarded the Australian, asking her, "What's up, Amy?"
"I need to talk to you for a minute." The blond motioned her over to the auditorium seats. "Come here."
"Oh, well, I don't want to be late for my next class," Beca lied. She had a bad feeling about this…
"It won't take long," Amy assured her. "It's really important."
"Okay…" Beca responded reluctantly.
"It's about Chloe."
Beca hurried over to where Amy sat. She took a chair beside her. "What's wrong with Chloe?" she asked in concern. "I mean, she seemed kind of… out of it, or something, today. And Aubrey was being such a bitch to her about it!"
"Actually," Amy informed her, "Aubrey's not the problem. Well, of course, she's always a problem, but that's not why Chloe is upset."
"Is there a problem here at school? Or back home, maybe?"
"There's a problem with you, Beca," Amy told her pointedly.
"Me?" Beca protested. "What the hell? I haven't done anything to Chloe!"
Amy rolled her eyes. "Beca, did she, or did she not invite you to the Bella movie night on Friday?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah. I wasn't interested. I wasn't rude to her about it, or anything. But it's not that big a deal."
"Well, it is a big deal to Chloe, for two reasons," Amy explained. "First of all, she really likes you, Mitchell. I mean, she really likes you. You're her favorite, you know."
"I've heard," Beca muttered, averting her eyes.
"And B. She went to great lengths to get you invited. Chloe really fought for you, including butting heads with the queen aca-bitch. Aubrey didn't want you to come, you know."
"No, I didn't know. Chloe did that for… me?" Beca asked in surprise. Chloe didn't strike her as someone who made much of a fuss for anything. But she had for her. And she'd stood up to Aubrey- head of the Bellas, and her own best friend! (Although, as to why Chloe would have Aubrey as a best friend was a mystery to her!)
"Yeah, Mitchell," Amy went on, "she did. And she was hurt beyond reason when you blew her off. Just thought you ought to know." She stood up, then left the rehearsal hall, leaving Beca just sitting there to think things over…

Friday night arrived, and Chloe was holed up in her room, lying on her bed, sniffling. She really missed Beca. And she hated the fact that her little favorite was currently all alone, living in a dorm room with such a mean roommate!
There was a knock on her door.
"Yes?" Chloe asked softly. She really wasn't in the mood for visitors.
The door opened. Amy and Stacie came in.
"Hey, Chloe," Stacie told her, "why don't you come on downstairs for movie night, hmm?"
"No, I feel… too depressed," Chloe sighed dramatically. Amy and Stacie shared a quiet chuckle.
"Are you sure you don't want to come down?" Stacie tried again. "We've got a Disney movie…"
"No… oh… um, which one?"
The two other Bellas shared a knowing look.
"It's Beauty and the Beast," Amy announced.
"Oh, wow, that's a good one," Chloe admitted, trying to decide what to do. "Shoot!"
"And there's one more thing," Amy added, sweetening the deal. "There's someone downstairs that would love to watch the movie with you."
Chloe looked up at Amy and gasped. "You- you mean… Beca?!"
Amy replied smugly, "Maybe…"
"Oh, my God! Really?"
"Go see for yourself, Chloe."
The redhead went off like a shot, out of the bedroom, and down the stairs. She found her way to the living room, where she saw Beca sitting on the couch with Aubrey- and they weren't trying to kill each other!
Beca looked up, saw Chloe standing there, breathlessly, looking at her with such unabashed affection, it took her off guard. The freshman offered an awkward, but genuine smile. "Hey, Chlo. 'Bout time you showed up. I mean, you did invite me, after all."
Aubrey smiled at her, too, their earlier argument all but forgotten. Plus she realized how much she had hurt her friend, and she never wanted to hurt Chloe. Not only was she the sweetest person, she was the only one that would put up with her. She patted the space in between she and Beca. "Room for one more."
Chloe laughed in delight and dove in between them. She wrapped her arms around them both. "Let's start the movie, girls!" she declared gleefully.

Several hours later…
The Bellas had watched Beauty and the Beast together, happy to see Chloe so happy. But things started to drag on a little when she brought out Cinderella. And things dragged a little further, when she produced her Tangled DVD just after.
"Out of curiosity, how many princess movies does Chloe own?" Beca asked, glancing over at her beautiful red haired friend, currently asleep next to her on the couch.
"Too many," Amy laughed.
"Chloe owns every Disney movie that's available on DVD," Aubrey informed them.
"Wow!" Stacie murmured.
"Are we going to have to watch all of them, tonight?" Cynthia Rose asked tiredly.
"Well, her personal best is eight Disney movies in a row," Aubrey sighed. "But… she's asleep, so I think we've got a reprieve."
"Oh, thank God!" Cynthia Rose declared.
"Yeah, so let's put on Magic Mike," Stacie said, a wicked glint in her eye.
Lilly, Amy, and Stacie were all for it, but Jessica, Ashley, Aubrey, and Denise seemed lackluster about it. Beca said, "Meh," just as Cynthia Rose shook her head and said, "Yuck!"
But Stacie talked them into it, and they watched that, too. Beca was bored out of her mind with the movie, but she had to admit, it wasn't too awful spending time with the rest of the Bellas, even if Aubrey was annoying, the movie was stupid, and Chloe was currently drooling on her shoulder.
And Beca did end up spending the night. The whole lot of them had fallen asleep in the living room together. She woke up at six-thirty the next morning, being spooned by the lovely redhead, who snored blissfully into her ear.
Wiping a little drool from her own chin, Beca admitted, if only to herself, that maybe I could get used to this…
Chapter Two: Sophomore Scariness
"It's the first Friday of October!" Chloe announced excitedly. "You girls must know what that means!" She stared expectantly at her fellow Bellas, who stared back at her, unsure of what she was going on about.
"What?" Stacie guessed. "You're starting your period?"
"In my country," Flo, the newest Bella, said, "it is the holiday of the Festival of Virgins!"
"I think that leaves just about everybody here out," Amy cracked.
"It is the season of sacrificing your neighbors," Lilly whispered gleefully, causing those closest to her to shiver.
"No, Stacie, I tend to start in the middle of the month," Chloe said, then turned to Flo. "And no, to you, too, Flo. We… eh, don't celebrate that holiday in the US." Then she looked at Lilly with trepidation. "Lilly, I'm… actually a little bit scared of what you just said," and the strange young woman merely shrugged, wearing an enigmatic smile. Then Chloe turned to her left, where her best friend, Beca Mitchell, stood. "Beca, remind them, please, love."
It was obvious that Beca had no clue what Chloe was talking about either. "Uhhh… rehearsal?"
"No! I mean, yes, we will have rehearsal this evening, Becs, but it's now also officially Halloween season and time for jack-o-lanterns, black cats, tasty treats, and… scary movies!"
Cynthia Rose scoffed at her. "Yeah, but Chloe, your idea of a scary movie is Hocus Pocus!"
"It only scares me a little bit," she admitted shyly, and Beca smiled at her, wrapping an arm around her waist.
"Scary movies. That's… cool, Chlo," she told her indulgently.
"Yes, it's very cool, Becs," Chloe agreed, a big grin on her beautiful face. "We can all watch our first scary movie tonight, and then tomorrow, we can decorate the house for Halloween!" She looked happily at Beca, ignoring some of the other Bellas' groans of annoyance.
"Halloween is evil," Flo said, making a sign of the cross.
"Halloween is for kids," Amy told her. "Why do you think Chloe likes it so much?"
"Halloween can be fun," Stacie giggled. "I like dressing up! There's so many costumes to choose from! Slutty nurse, slutty police officer, slutty Ghostbuster, slutty…"
"Yeah, I guess there are some good things about it," Cynthia Rose added, staring lustfully at Stacie.
"I love Halloween," Lilly whispered.
"What a surprise!" Amy declared sarcastically.
Beca feigned enthusiasm for Chloe's sake, and said, "Yay for Halloween!" to her adorable friend.
"Thank you, Becs! I knew I could count on you! You're the best BFF ever!" Chloe leaned over and kissed the pretty sophomore on the cheek.
"Aw, Beca, you're the best!" Amy teased her and the little DJ glared at her.
"You are right, Amy," Chloe agreed, seemingly oblivious to the shenanigans going on around her. "Beca is the best. Therefore, I think it's only right that she gets to pick the first scary movie!"
Beca smiled evilly, as the rest of the Bellas (except for Chloe) groaned in annoyance.
"Not Beca!" Jessica and Ashley muttered collectively.
"Hell no to that shit!" Cynthia Rose agreed.
"This is not going to end well," Stacie sighed.
"Am I missing something here?" Flo, the latest addition to the Bellas organization, asked in confusion.
Chloe frowned disapprovingly at her friends. "Why is everyone picking on Beca? You're all behaving horribly to our beloved captain!"
"Co-captain, Chlo," Beca reminded her, warming at her sweet friend defending her honor. "with you." Chloe smiled lovingly at her.
"Her movie picks always suck," Amy told Flo, who nodded in understanding.
"I like them," Lilly whispered.
"Well, there's your proof," Stacie said. "If Lilly likes her picks, what does that tell you?"
"I like them, too!" Chloe growled, her normally bright blue eyes narrowing in anger. "Quit being mean to Beca!" The sweet ginger rarely got mad or showed much of a temper… unless it involved someone insulting or picking on her beloved Beca.
"But Chloe," Cynthia Rose was quick to remind her, "Beca always chooses those weird, obscure titles that are disturbing to watch!"
"Well, I find her taste in movies… refreshing," Chloe continued to defend Beca. "They're thought provoking… interesting… uh…"
"Chloe," Stacie told her, "the last movie Beca picked to have us watch, you spent the whole time hiding your face in her shoulder, and you couldn't sleep for weeks! Literal weeks!"
"It gave you some horrible nightmares of being chased, too," Amy added. "You were having night terrors every time you closed your eyes!"
"Well… perhaps the last one she chose for us was… a little… intense, but Beca made it up to me by staying in my room every night for that entire time, keeping me safe!" Chloe reminded them.
Stacie rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I'm sure if some psycho is really after you, Chloe, then Big Bad Beca is going to come to your rescue!" She and the others laughed.
"She would!" Chloe insisted fervently, turning to look at her best friend. "Right?"
"Chloe," Beca said, managing to keep a straight face, "I would die for you!" It was worth the effort to see Chloe melt beside her, giving her a tight embrace, and sighing romantically.
"Maybe you two need a moment alone," Stacie snickered.
"Up yours, Stace!" Beca retorted.
"I wouldn't mind a moment alone with Beca," Chloe admitted, and Beca turned bright red, amidst all of the hoots and whistles coming from the other Bellas.
"Oh, I bet you would, Beale," Amy said, winking at Beca.
"Shut up, Ames!" Beca hissed.
"Of course, I would," Chloe confirmed, seemingly oblivious to all of the teasing going on around her.
"So, what exactly do you two ladies do when you're alone together, anyway?" Cynthia Rose asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.
"Well, we…"
"Chloe, please," Beca said, touching her arm. "They're just picking on us. You don't have to answer them, you know."
"Oh, I don't mind," Chloe replied sweetly. "Beca and I plan our songs and choreography together for the Bellas, of course, as well as any fund raisers or special events for the group."
"Really? That's all?" Cynthia Rose asked in disappointment.
"No, of course not. Sometimes we just… sing together. Not anything for the Bellas, but just for fun! We watch movies together, listen to music… sometimes, Becs lets me hear the cool beats she creates! We bake together, do homework together, and we talk about stuff."
"What kind of stuff?" Amy prodded.
"Lots of stuff!" Chloe declared. "She's the best conversationalist I've ever met!"
Everyone suddenly looked at Beca, who shrugged. Beca, as leader of the Bellas, had gotten better about listening to others, showing care and sympathy for those in need, but nobody would have called her particularly chatty or forthcoming. Apparently though, Chloe did. She opened up enough to the sweet redhead. It made sense though, seeing as how most of them knew what Beca refused to admit; she was as much in love with Chloe as Chloe was with her.
Beca sighed in relief. Okay, that wasn't as embarrassing as I thought it would be.
"Oh, and we snuggle a lot!" Chloe added innocently, causing Beca to close her eyes, just knowing what was about to happen…
"Snuggles, huh?" Cynthia Rose chuckled. "Is that what the white girls are calling it these days?"
"Well, that, or cuddling," Chloe replied helpfully, not understanding why everyone had a knowing smile on their face, or why Beca was currently the color of a tomato.
"Is she a good cuddler, Red?" Amy asked, trying to keep serious.
"Well, yes," Chloe told her. "She's the most cuddly person EVER!"
Again, all eyes were on Beca. Out of all of the Bellas, except maybe for Lilly (who sometimes seemed too weird to be even considered human), Beca seemed like the least cuddly to them. Then again, Chloe seemed the most cuddly, so maybe it balanced out…
"Wait, are we talking about the same Beca here?" Cynthia Rose blurted out loud.
"Hey, don't be mean!" Chloe scolded her. "Beca's the most wonderful person I've ever met, and her cuddling skills are above reproach!" She gave her best friend another loving look.
"Well, cool," said Amy, smiling sweetly at Chloe, before turning to Beca with a wicked grin. "So, Beca, is Chloe cuddly, too?"
Beca mouthed "fuck you" to the Australian, then noticed that Chloe was looking at her, expectantly, hopefully…
Blowing out a breath, knowing her fellow Bellas were going to torture her so much for this, Beca bit the metaphorical bullet and admitted, "Chlo, I've never known anyone cuddlier."
Chloe squealed in delight, hugging Beca tightly. Then she addressed the group. "Well, ladies, we will see you all this evening at seven o'clock sharp, for movie night!"
Beca walked passed Amy, who was smirking mercilessly, and whispered, "I know know where you sleep." For the briefest moment, Amy looked concerned.

Seven o'clock that night, all of the Bellas begrudgingly made their way into the living room for Beca's pick on movie night, Halloween edition. With the exceptions of Chloe- who looked at Beca adoringly, as always- Beca- wearing an evil smile- and Lilly- who seemed a little bit too eager for the horror fest that was sure to come- everyone else sat down, popcorn bowls in hand, awaiting this night with grim expressions and trepidation.
"So… I should definitely be scared for this?" Flo asked anyone that might happen to answer, trying to prepare herself.
"Definitely," Beca agreed, laughing maniacally. "Chloe? You gonna come sit with me?"
"Oh, yes, of course, Becs!" The beautiful redhead passed out the last of the popcorn bowls, with one slightly larger bowl left. She excitedly sat down beside her bestie, balancing their shared popcorn bowl on her lap, sitting close, their warm bodies touching, squeezed together in their place on the couch. Their fingers reached for the popcorn bowl at the same time, brushing against each other, whereupon, they gazed at each other, and giggled together.
Flo watched them, fascinated. "They are rather… lesbonic, aren't they?" she whispered to Stacie.
"You have no idea," Stacie chuckled.
"So what did you pick, Beca?" Cynthia Rose demanded to know.
"Yeah, just start it," Amy sighed, "so we can get this shit over with!"
"You ladies are all being very unkind," Chloe scolded all of them, wrapping a protective arm about Beca's slim shoulders.
"What the hell is it, already?" Amy asked again.
Beca didn't say a word, simply pressed play on the DVD player. The title appeared on screen.
"What's the… the… The Human Centipede?" Chloe asked innocently.
"Jesus," Amy muttered.
"This can't be good," Cynthia Rose groaned, shaking her head.

By the end of the movie, Jessica, Ashley, and Flo had already fled the room, sickened beyond belief. While Lilly sat there, staring, unblinkingly at the credits rolling, an odd and creepy smile spread across her face, Stacie had run to the downstairs powder room, throwing up the popcorn she had eaten an hour before. Cynthia Rose and Amy, both considered to be mostly unfazed by scary stuff, looked positively disgusted and horrified. And Chloe? She was… crying…
Beca sat, satisfied that she'd officially grossed everyone out. Truthfully, she found this movie to be awful and puke inducing- as Stacie had proven- but the fact that she had freaked out the Bellas was fantastic… except for Chloe. She felt really bad about the movie making Chloe so upset, but she made a silent vow to make it up to her best friend by sleeping in her room for the next night, week, month, however long it took. She would shower the tenderhearted redhead with cuddles and sweet words, and little kisses about her face.
And she began right then and there, wrapping her arms around the sobbing ginger, wiping away all the tears, and offering her a cuddle in front of everybody still present.
"Can we please make a new rule here?" Cynthia Rose asked, rubbing at her temples. "Beca is no longer allowed to pick anything else for movie nights!"
"I second," Amy agreed, her face still the epitome of disbelief and disgust at what she had just watched.
"I third," Stacie called from the bathroom, before throwing up once more.
"Bunch of babies," Beca scoffed. "Well, if that's how you really feel, then I just won't bother coming to movie night anymore." And that had originally been her plan all along. She didn't care for most movies. She hated all the romances that Stacie picked. All the mystery and suspense movies (that were far too easy to figure out long before the "shocking" ending) that Jessica and Ashley loved. She hated the movies Amy chose, which usually involved half-naked men. And Cynthia Rose, and her lesbian romances… well, truthfully, a few of them were… interesting to Beca, but it was the principle of the matter, and she couldn't single out just one person's choices as being acceptable. And yes, Chloe's more family friendly Disney movies were rather... cute and squishy, much like Chloe herself, so she could easily tolerate them, as well. But still, the principle must be upheld at all times!
But when Chloe sobbed, "No! You must be here for our movie nights!" that was Beca's undoing. She would forever be included in Bella movie nights. Chloe wanted her there. So, she would be there. It wasn't a choice, really.

Later that night, Beca found herself crammed in tight with her favorite redhead in a twin size bed. The other bed in the room, that had been Aubrey's was never even a thought when the two Bellas had sleep overs. This was why: Chloe was basically wrapped around Beca's smaller form, out of necessity, of course, but also offering warmth, and affection. It felt… good.
"Thanks for bunking with me tonight, Becs," Chloe mumbled sleepily, nuzzling her face into the crook of Beca's neck.
"That tickles," Beca chuckled, setting a calming hand on her friend's head, until she stopped rutting around. "And it's no problem, Chlo. I'm just sorry that my movie upset you so much."
"It's all right, love. I know you don't really like movie night that much, but you participate for our sake," Chloe yawned, snuggling closer. "Thanks for putting up with us."
How does she always know when I'm being sneaky? Beca wondered in amazement, looking over at her sleepy friend, pure love in her eyes. "What do you mean for our sake?"
"You know, for us, the Bellas. You're our leader, so even though you don't really enjoy being there, you participate, for our sake, just to be nice."
Beca felt a little bit guilty. She rarely did anything just to be nice. "Oh, I don't… mind it too much, Chlo. It's cool to hang out with the girls. But the truth is, I do it more for you than anyone else."
It was dark, but she could feel Chloe's eyes opening, wide with surprise and delight, as she shifted a little, wrapping both arms around her, and hugging her tight. Thankfully, because it was dark, Beca knew Chloe wouldn't be able to see her blush. (Chloe knew, though, anyway. She always knew.)
"Really, Becs? Just for me?"
"Uh, well, yeah… I mean, we're best friends, aren't we?" Beca said, trying to sound cavalier.
"Absolutely!" Chloe wholeheartedly agreed, kissing her friend's cheek. "You're the best, Beca! I'm so lucky to have you in my life."
"Thanks," Beca murmured, clearly touched, but finding it hard to find the right words. She settled with, "Ditto."
"That's from Ghost," Chloe giggled.
"Which ghost?"
"No, the movie, Ghost," the redhead informed her. "You've seen it, haven't you?"
"What? No way. Movies are lame, remember?" Beca chided her.
"No, not my Disney-"
"Except for Disney," Beca quickly amended.
"Okay…"
"Goodnight, weirdo," the small DJ snickered.
"Goodnight, weirder…"
"There's no way that I'm weirder than you, Chlo," Beca argued.
"Yes, you are."
"Nope! You win that contest."
"I think most people would say you're weirder," Chloe yawned.
"Fine. We'll call it a tie."
"Fine."
"Goodnight, Chlo."
"Goodnight, Becs."
"Remember, I'm right here if you have a bad dream."
"I know. Thanks, love."
"Goodnight."
"…. you're still weirder, though…."
"…. bite me, Chlo…."
Soon the room was quiet, except for the occasional snore, or fart, and the two women dreamed on, peacefully.
Chapter Three: Jubilant Junior Jamboree
The Bella House was all decorated for Christmas. Mistletoe hung in every doorway. Chloe offered sisterly kisses to any Bella she happened to catch under there, a sweet peck on the cheek. But whenever she caught Beca, the kisses were a little softer, and lingered a little longer. Sometimes it was a kiss on the cheek, or the ear, the neck, the nose, and a couple of times, even on the lips!
Beca would grumble a little whenever there were witnesses to those moments of festive affection, but otherwise, she would allow it with a great deal of patience, and a secret liking for them, because she felt something strong for Chloe as well, but she kept those feelings a secret from everyone, including Chloe herself.
Deep down, Beca had an inkling everyone suspected that was more than feelings of friendship ebbing and flowing between she and the beautiful redhead, but she refused to admit it. Still, she did enjoy the occasional Chloe smooch. She just pretended she didn't. Unbeknownst to Beca, pretty much EVERYONE knew she loved Chloe and her kisses, as much as Chloe loved her.
The Bellas were about to leave on winter break. On their last day before they all would separate to go home to their families, the Bellas were going to have a holiday party with a big dinner, and a gift exchange. But tonight, Friday night, was to be the last movie night of the year! And, it was Chloe's pick this time!
At seven o'clock sharp, the girls entered the living room. They were all pleasantly surprised by the set up on the coffee table, displaying a pitcher with homemade eggnog, a coffee pot filled with homemade hot cocoa, trays with homemade pumpkin, and banana bread, trays with homemade fudge and candies, trays with several different kinds of cookies, that were, you guessed it, also homemade!
"Wow!" Cynthia Rose exclaimed in anticipation, already reaching for a mug to snag some hot cocoa.
"Oh, Chloe, you outdid yourself, hon," Stacie gushed at her, smiling affectionately at everyone's favorite redhead. She took a slice of pumpkin bread. "Mmm, this is too much!"
"No, I'd say it's just right," Amy replied, giving Chloe's shoulder a grateful squeeze, then heading over to the eggnog and fudge.
"In my country," Flo mentioned in amazement, "this would feed a family of six for a month!" She grabbed up some of the candies.
Chloe shrugged. "Well, I thought you ladies would like a little nosh during our last movie night of the year!"
"Good thinking, Chloe," Jessica complimented her, chowing down on a sugar cookie.
"Yeah, I don't know where to start," Ashley added. "Oh, yes, I do! Jess, hand me one of those cookies!"
"Where are the fish sticks?" Lilly whispered, looking at all of the food.
"I'm sorry, I didn't… wait, Lilly, it's Christmastime," Chloe explained. "So these are all Christmas treats."
"But what about the fish sticks?" Lilly demanded to know, a little louder this time.
"They're in the freezer, along with your brain, Lilly," Amy cracked, then turned her attention to Chloe. "So, where's Beca, anyway? Five bucks says she bails out of this."
"What?" Chloe declared indignantly. "No! She would never do that! It's Christmas!"
"Well, she's not big on Christmas movies," Cynthia Rose reminded them. "Maybe she'll just pick the Grinch."
"Finally, a character she can relate to," Stacie laughed, and everyone but Chloe joined in.
"Stop picking on Beca!" the redhead complained. "She is our fair leader and she deserves more respect! And just for the record, she does not hate Christmas movies, she is not like the Grinch, and she would never bail out on her fellow Bellas!"
Stacie smirked at her. "Are you kidding, Chloe? You're the only reason she shows up to these movie nights at all!"
Chloe made a show of rolling her eyes, even though she knew it was true. Beca had basically admitted that very thing to her last year. "That's not true, Stacie! Beca is-"
"Beca is what?" the brunette in question asked, coming into the room carrying a DVD. She handed it to Chloe. "Here you go, babe. The movie you requested."
"Thanks, love," Chloe replied, reaching out to squeeze Beca's hand.
"Oh, thank God it's Chloe's pick!" Flo sighed in relief. "There will be no Santas being murdered by Rudolph kind of movie tonight!"
Beca raised an eyebrow at her.
"Yeah, but now we'll probably be stuck watching Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas, or something," Amy groaned.
"What's wrong with Emmett Otter?" Chloe asked in confusion. "But no, I picked a well known Christmas flick that I think all of you really like." She put the movie in the DVD player, and hit play.
All of the Bellas cheered happily when the movie Elf started. Beca and Chloe remained quiet, smiling knowingly at each other, sitting together, their bodies physically touching, their fingers entwined. Chloe leaned forward and grabbed them each a Christmas cookie.
"Sweets for the sweet," she whispered lovingly into Beca's ear, watching affectionately, as Beca practically swallowed it whole. She nibbled on her own cookie, then rest her head on Beca's shoulder.
The group watched the movie together, laughing at the funny parts, pigging out on the Christmas treats, sipping from eggnog or hot cocoa. Beca and Chloe shared an eggnog, and took turns stealing each other's treats, snuggled up together on the couch. Most of the Bellas ignored them. They were so used to seeing the affectionate displays by now, anyway. But Amy paused now and then to look over at the two friends. It made her smile. Even though Beca could be a little shit most of the time, she was still an awesome person and she deserved love. She got it in spades, from Chloe.
Amy also knew that, for the second year in a row, Beca was flying with Chloe to Oregon soon, to spend Christmas with the Beale family. Beca's mom, Elizabeth worked a lot and Beca was still not on the best of terms with her father, mostly because of his wife, Sheila. But Beca was okay with it all. She knew the Bellas were her true family. They knew her the best, and loved her for who she was, flaws and all. And Chloe? Well, she went above and beyond all of that by also falling in love with her.

That night, after the movie had ended, all of the Bellas headed upstairs to bed. Beca and Chloe brought up the rear. Amy, who was just barely ahead of them, listened in on their conversation.
"So, thanks for picking Elf for me, Chlo," Beca was saying. "It's one of my favorite- eh, I mean, it's one that doesn't annoy me so much…"
Chloe grinned. "Right, Becs."
"Chlo, don't tell anyone, okay?"
The redhead snickered. "You know I won't."
"Yeah, I know. Just checking."
"Are you all packed for the trip yet?" Chloe wisely changed the subject.
"Nah. Still got a few things to pack," Beca admitted sheepishly.
"Like what?"
"My laptop, some shoes, sweaters, underwear, clothes…"
"So, basically, you haven't packed," Chloe stated knowingly, shaking her head at her procrastinating friend.
"Basically," the brunette replied with a shrug. "But what about you? I bet you've been packed up and ready to go for two weeks!"
"It's only been for one week, thank you," Chloe said haughtily.
Beca laughed. "You're so anal retentive," she teased.
"I am not!"
"Anal…" Beca whispered into her face with a smirk.
"You're anal!" Chloe retorted.
"Who likes anal?" Cynthia Rose called from her room.
"Not us!" they both shouted in unison.
"You're such a butt, Chlo," Beca snickered.
"Well, you're a turd, Becs!" the redhead volleyed back.
Amy turned around just in time to see Beca swatting Chloe on her bottom. She chuckled as Chloe, feigning indignation, swatted Beca's bottom right back.
"Butt munch!" she declared.
As they reached the landing of the stairs, Beca touched Chloe's arm. "So, uh, Chlo… did Elf scare you at all, babe?" she asked, averting her eyes.
Amy, who was now hiding around the corner to the second staircase, didn't quite understand what was going on. Surely, even wimpy-ass Chloe couldn't have been scared by a silly man running around New York in an elf costume!
Chloe looked lovingly at her beautiful Bella co-captain. "Oh, yes, love. I'm absolutely terrified!"
Beca, still not able to look Chloe in the eye, smiled nonetheless. Nobody understood her the way Chloe did. Nobody! "I'll go… get my pajamas then," she mumbled.
The redhead leaned over to kiss Beca's cheek. "I'll go turn down the covers then."
Beca nodded, and was about to rush to the second staircase when she heard Chloe say, "Hey, Becs?"
"Yeah?"
"Thanks for always protecting me, love."
"Thanks for needing me to."
Their Australian Bella sister grinned. Those two lesbos were a match made in heaven!
Chapter Four: The Seniors' Final Destination…
"It's the last movie pick for the 2015 Bellas, pitches!" Amy announced importantly, raising her fist triumphantly into the air. "And I get to pick it!"
"No porn!" Chloe warned her, and Beca laughed at her expense.
"I will fart on you, short stack," Amy warned the small DJ, who immediately shut up.
"So, what's it going to be, Ames?" Cynthia Rose asked. "Drag queens? Alien queens? With you, it's anybody's guess!"
"How about a nice romance?" Stacie suggested.
"No, a mystery," Ashley chimed in.
"With lots of suspense!" Jessica added.
"A musical, please?" Flo begged.
"A musical?" Amy laughed. "No way! Our lives are pretty much a musical already, anyway!"
Flo shrugged. "I just like to sing, is all."
"What about Andy Warhol?" Lilly whispered hopefully.
"God, no!" Amy balked, and the few other Bellas that heard Lilly, agreed with the boisterous Australian.
"Disney, maybe?" Emily queried.
"What, am I Chloe?" the blond snickered. "No, Legacy, I chose a movie that I shall dedicate to Beca, our fair leader!" Everyone cheered.
"So, a movie about little people, then," Stacie cracked.
"Bite me, Stace," Beca muttered, before turning to Amy. "Hey, don't forget that Chloe is our co-captain here, and she does more than half the work!" She didn't look, but she could just feel the redhead beaming proudly next to her. But that's not why she said it. Beca really didn't like it when the other Bellas overlooked Chloe as their co-leader. It was true, the dedicated four time senior honestly did the lion's share of the work, and was truly the heart of the group.
"But I picked a horror film," Amy protested, "and Red doesn't like scary movies, so why would I dedicate that to her?" Beca gave her a stern look. "Fine," the Australian sighed. "So, I guess this movie is dedicated to both of our co-captains: To Beca, who made us sit through some of the most awful shit ever committed to celluloid, and who made us all horrified! And, to Chloe, who… still sleeps with Disney and Care Bears stuffies, and dots her eyes with hearts, and who hides her face into Beca's shoulder whenever anything even slightly scary pops up on screen!" She stared at Beca. "There. You happy now?"
"Of course," Beca smirked.
Amy shook her head, but raised a can of soda and said, "Here's to our leaders!"
"Here here!" everyone agreed, raising their choice of beverage and toasting the two young women who'd made it possible to go to the World's competition.
"Thanks, ladies," Chloe gushed.
Beca nodded her thanks. She truthfully wasn't a fan of scary movies as a rule. She used to choose them just to freak everyone out for making her sit through all of the lame, predictable films they'd picked over the years. And… she loved having Chloe, her beautiful best friend, snuggle against her during the movie, sharing popcorn and a drink, and then sleeping beside her to soothe the gentle ginger when she got too frightened to sleep alone later that night.
"So, what's the scary movie you chose, Amy?" Emily asked, fretfully. She was known to get more than a little scared over anything beyond PG-13.
"Please don't say it's Human Centipede 2," Stacie pleaded.
"Dear God, you mean, they made more than one of those?" Flo asked in disgust.
"Hell, no!" Amy assured them. "That shit was fucked up!"
"I liked it," Lilly whispered.
"Of course, you did," Amy sighed. "But that's not what I picked, so watch it on your own time."
"So, start it, already!" Flo sighed in trepidation.
Amy started the movie. It was the original Final Destination. The girls spent the next couple of hours watching people getting killed in various, sickening ways, and it all started with a plane crash...
"Uh, Ames," Beca murmured quietly, noticing all of the other Bellas in the room staring angrily at the Australian, "maybe a movie about a plane crash wasn't the best choice right before our own flight to Copenhagen next week."
"Eh," Amy replied nonchalantly, "just keeping everybody on their toes."
"Amy, if our plane doesn't crash and kill you, I might just do it myself!" Stacie muttered.
"I mean, really?" Cynthia Rose groaned.
"In my country, this would be an omen," Flo insisted, "but since we're not in my country, I suppose this only makes you a jerk."
"Hey!" Amy protested.
"And it's bed time," Jessica sighed.
"Thanks for all the nightmares we'll probably all have tonight," Ashley added.
"No problem," Amy replied.
"And I share a room with Lilly, so I'm even more scared," Emily whispered.
"Ah, you gotta toughen up, Legacy," the Australian told her. "After all, next year, you'll be head Bella. Well, that is, if we can win the World's championship…" she glanced over and saw her Bella sisters glaring at her, so she hastily added, "… uh, and I'm most certain that we will!"
"Actually, girls," Chloe spoke up, before any more arguments could get started, "in light of this being our last Friday night together as official Barden Bellas, Beca and I thought it might be fun to have a big slumber party tonight, down here in the living room!"
Most of the Bellas commented favorably. Truthfully, none of them wanted to be isolated after watching such a disturbing movie right before bed.
Beca turned to look at Chloe and whispered, "We planned a slumber party?"
"Yes, we did, babe," Chloe told her, smiling. "And we're both very excited about it."
"Excited, gotcha," Beca agreed with a chuckle. She didn't mind it at all really. It was to be one of the last times they were all just getting to be Bellas, hanging out together in the house they had shared for years. Even Beca Mitchell could appreciate the sentimentality of such a moment.
That night, the Bellas gathered together, all dressed in their pajamas, cuddling with pillows and blankets around the room, sharing stories of the times they had laughed through, cried through, and lived through, together. There was a lot of laughter, some tears shed, and a promise made that night, to find a way to meet up again, after their new lives started, including Chloe's pact that they all get together the same time next year, no matter where they were, or what they were doing.
Later, they all settled in, finding some comfortable place to lie down, and get some sleep. Amy had claimed the couch early on. It was a sectional, so Flo took the smaller part. Meanwhile, Beca and Chloe had secluded themselves behind the couch where Amy stretched out. The Australian had been drifting off to sleep when she heard the unmistakable sounds of sobbing coming very quietly from behind her. Ever so subtly, she listened in…
She had initially thought it had been Chloe crying, because, well, when someone from the Bellas was crying, it was usually Chloe, but to her great shock, it was actually Beca!
"Becs, baby, please tell me what's wrong," she heard Chloe ask soothingly, as she held her best friend in her loving arms.
"Um… well, you know how I am working at that production company?"
"Of course, love, I do. I wish I'd have known about it sooner. I could have told you right there and then how proud I am of you."
"Y- you're proud of me?" Beca sniffled, snuggling deeper into Chloe's embrace. She rarely heard that from her family members, but leave it to her bestie to give her that sense of pride she desperately needed.
"Yes, I am incredibly proud of you, darling! You're actually going out into the world and making your dream a reality!"
"I don't know about that," the small DJ sighed, still full of uncertainty when it came to her abilities. "But, um… my boss… he liked how I produced Emily's song, and he… he has a job lined up for me after we get back from graduation."
Chloe gasped excitedly. "Oh, my God! Beca, that's so amazing, sweetheart! You're so amazing! I didn't think I could be any prouder of you, but I was wrong!" She hugged her friend fiercely, offering up little kisses about Beca's tear-stained face.
"But Chloe…" Beca struggled to continue, trying not to focus on how good it felt to be held and kissed by the beautiful redhead, trying instead to concentrate on the reason behind her tears. "The job, you see, it's in… New York."
"You- you mean as in the New York?" Chloe gasped again, this time comprehending the reason for Beca's tears.
"Yeah," Beca whispered, burying her face into her best friend's shoulder.
And that's when Chloe began to cry as well, and the two young women clung to each other, sobbing quietly in each other's arms.
At first, Amy couldn't fathom as to what the problem was here, or why they were so upset about such news. It seemed like an exciting venture for Beca. A chance to display her great talents. And Chloe had initially been so happy for her. But then it dawned on Amy. Beca was leaving… moving far away, while Chloe still didn't even have an inkling as to what she would do next, or where she would end up. And it also meant, the two women would be apart for the first time in nearly four years. How would they cope if they couldn't be together? And could Bhloe somehow survive?
Amy sighed sadly. And though she herself did not cry, she understood why her friends did…
Chapter 5: A Bella Reunion?
For months, Chloe had been trying to plan a Bella reunion, even with her busy job at the animal hospital. She asked Amy about her own schedule, but since Amy didn't really have a schedule, she was basically free for a reunion at any time. Beca, however, was a whole other ballgame…
It had often been hard to spend much time at all with Beca, ever since the three Bellas had moved to New York, to start their post college lives. Chloe was working at the animal hospital, while simultaneously trying to get into vet school. Amy was halfheartedly attempting to establish herself as a popular street performer, under the clever moniker of Fat Amy Winehouse. And Beca was the busiest of all, working at a music production company, dedicated to discovering the next big thing.
"Beca, could you take time off next month for the reunion?" Chloe had asked hopefully, many a time.
And each time, she would receive the same answer from the young music producer. "Sorry, babe, but I can't get away. I've been at my job less than a year, so I'm the low man on the Totem pole, as they say. I really want to, but I can't. Not right now."
Every other month, Chloe would ask, and every other month, Beca would regretfully decline. It was all very frustrating and disheartening, trying to organize a big Bella reunion around one person's impossible schedule.
Still, Chloe kept trying. The reunion needed to happen. And even though it was a lot of effort and trouble, Beca was certainly worth making the effort for. Not only was she the Bellas' best leader to date, she was the love of Chloe's life… even if Beca still wouldn't acknowledge it out loud. To Chloe, a Bella reunion without Beca just wouldn't be a true reunion.
After about a year, Chloe finally talked Beca into asking her boss for a week off. After all, two new people had been hired, so Beca was no longer the newest employee. But when Beca had asked for a week off, her boss had denied it. When she told Chloe about it, she'd held the redhead in her arms, while Chloe cried.
"Beca…"
"Yes, babe?"
"Could you maybe… ask your boss when you'll be able to take some time off? I could try planning the reunion for that time."
"Good idea, Chloe," Beca complimented her, brushing away her tears with gentle fingers. "I will do that."
This response elicited a hopeful smile out of Chloe, as well as a quick kiss against Beca's lips, which made the brunette feel as warm and tingly as it did embarrassed.
Amy had, of course, walked by at that moment, and mentioned, "I'd say take that lesbo kissiness to another room, but considering where we live, I guess that's out of the question… unless you want to make out over the toilet?"
"Shut up, Ames."
"Just a friendly suggestion."
"I'd kiss Beca anywhere!" Chloe declared, smiling at the small brunette.
And then, as always, Amy would laugh, and Beca would blush furiously. And that was life in the Mitchell/Beale/Hobart household.

Beca came home after a particularly arduous day at work She had recently been assigned to assist a new, rising 'artist', to work with; a Black wannabe, white male with dread locks and a big attitude for someone with such a small frame, who went by the oh so clever moniker of 'Pimplo'. Beca thought the name 'Pimple' would be more appropriate, as he seemed barely out of puberty, and she also had this urge to squeeze his head.
After enduring a meeting with this upcoming 'artist', Beca had gone to her boss, and worked up the nerve to ask when she actually might be able to take a week off for her college reunion. He had stared at her for a moment, then laughed in her face and said, "Seriously, Mitchell?" He then proceeded to tell her that if she wanted to keep her job, she had better work her ass off, get Pimplo on the charts, and shut up about taking any time off.
Feeling a little humiliated and more than slightly miffed by the encounter, Beca managed to keep her cool, and said nothing, just nodded. But she was screaming inside at his asshole demeanor, as well as beyond depressed to be missing out on the reunion. She was most devastated, though, to be disappointing Chloe. That's the one thing she hated to do above all else.
When she got home to the teeny, tiny apartment, she found Amy lounging on her bed, the one she and Chloe shared, eating a bunch of chips, and getting crumbs all over the place.
"Amy! Eat that on your own bed, dammit!"
"Don't want to get crumbs on my bed, though," Amy replied absently, munching on another chip.
The shittiness of the day finally getting to her, Beca blew her top. She yelled, "Well, what makes you think I want crumbs on my bed?!"
"Oh, relax, Big BM," the Australian muttered at her, "I'm lying on Chloe's side. She won't care."
"Yes, she would. What's more, I care, too! Get off!"
"Jesus, why are you in such a snit?" Amy grumbled at her. "What's your problem?" She got off of Beca and Chloe's bed, making a big show of brushing off all of the crumbs.
"Well, for one, I had a really horrible day at work," Beca admitted, "but even if I hadn't, I still would be pissed at you, regardless, for getting crumbs all over my fucking bed!"
"Oh, right," Amy countered sarcastically, "like there's ever any fucking in your bed, even though you and Jesse broke up months ago!"
"Amy!"
Chloe came into the apartment at that moment, all sweetness and smiles, and it made Beca cringe, knowing she'd be wiping that smile off of her face soon enough, with her bad news.
"Good evening, ladies," the redhead announced cheerfully, walking over to Beca, wrapping a loving arm around her shoulder. "How was everyone's day?"
Amy said, "Meh," while Beca muttered, "Shitty!"
"Well, that's not… so great," Chloe replied sadly, and she gave Beca's cheek a quick peck. "How about I make us a delicious dinner, while you two relax and unwind for a moment?"
"Dinner!" Amy exclaimed, her outlook more enthusiastic. "That word alone cheers me up. So, Chloe, I'm going to go drop a smash. Hopefully, dinner will be ready by the time I'm done?" She looked expectantly at her accommodating friend.
The ginger looked perplexed. "What all did you have to eat today, Amy?"
"Ah, let's see now… I had some nachos for breakfast, a salad for lunch… as well as a roast beef sandwich. I grabbed a milk shake on my way to my hair appointment, and then got an iced tea and some fruit to tide me over on my way home. Oh, and I just had some jalapeno flavored chips a few minutes ago."
Chloe did some calculations in her head, as well as decided what she was going to make for dinner. "Hmm… yeah, I think dinner will be ready by the time you are done," she assured her.
Beca's eyes went wide in surprise just listening to that conversation. She shook her head at Amy's culinary tastes, as well as Chloe's ability to gauge how long it would take the Australian to expel it.
"Uh, Chlo," Beca began meekly, as Amy sauntered into the bathroom, pulling the curtain shut for some semblance of privacy. "I have something to tell you…"
"Great, love! What's say you help me with dinner, then, and tell me all about it?"
The tired music producer sighed. She did need to tell Chloe the bad news. She did want to spend time with her, because every moment with Chloe, was a moment of calm, sweetness and love. But she did not particularly want to cook dinner.
Still… "Uh, okay." She thought helping the ginger might soften the blow a little. Plus, she just realized that Chloe had to be as exhausted as she was.
Chloe gave her a sweet smile, and took her hand, leading her over to the kitchen table, which was placed at the apex of the kitchen area. "Beca, I know you're tired and I further know you hate cooking. I wasn't wanting you to actually help me. I just wanted you close enough for me to hear you while I made dinner."
Beca laughed. "Chlo, hon, this place is so tiny, that you could hear me no matter where I was in the apartment at any given time."
"True," Chloe giggled. "But I still like you close to me. Besides, now I get to look at your beautiful face while I prepare a delicious meal."
The young music producer felt incredibly guilty over not helping with dinner all of a sudden. It probably had a lot to do with the bad news she was about to bestow upon her friend, but also because Chloe always seemed to be the one making meals and doing most of the cleaning in the apartment. "Well, it's okay," Beca said, standing and coming near the kitchen area, which she could accomplish in one step. "I can help you. I'm not that tired. And I should help. It's not really fair that you always have to make dinner, Chlo. Amy and I should be taking turns."
"You really want Amy to make us dinner?" Chloe blurted in alarm.
"Okay, no, probably not a good idea," Beca chuckled. "But at least I should help."
"Beca, relax, love," the redhead assured her. "I really don't mind making dinner every night. I love cooking for you… oh, and Amy. And I do enjoy cooking, regardless."
The small brunette blushed in spite of herself. She looked away, but she was smiling. Chloe was so domestic for her; cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, making the bed they shared, every morning. Beca had never demanded any such treatment, of course, but she'd never offered to help much, or acted all that appreciative about it, either… until now…
Feeling emboldened, Beca came closer, reaching for her beautiful friend. She gently took the bell pepper out of Chloe's hand, and set it on the counter.
"Becs?" Chloe asked in confusion. "Did you want to chop, or- oh!" and the redhead was spun around, and suddenly found herself in her best friend's arms, gazing into those dark blue eyes she loved so much. She simply melted.
The two women had become much more affectionate, physically, towards each other, ever since Beca had broken up with Jesse, ending their long distance relationship. Not only was it hard to even stay in touch, between their busy schedules, but Jesse's gaze had drifted… elsewhere, finding solace for his loneliness with a woman he met at work. And Beca, well, she'd always been rather distracted by her best friend's beguiling nature, ever since the first day they'd met. And now that neither were involved with anyone else…
"Chlo…" Beca began softly, sweetly.
"Yes, sweetheart?"
"Um… I realize that you do a lot around here, even though you have a full time job, too, and work as hard as I do- probably harder, because I never had to stick my hand up a cow's ass-"
"It's okay," Chloe snickered. "I enjoy taking care of you. Oh, and Amy, too."
"I know you do, Chlo," Beca went on, "but I should still be more appreciative of all that you do for us. You're a… a… an angel, truly, Chlo. Thanks for always taking such good care of us, and I promise, I will try to do more in the future, to help out."
"Aw, Becs, I-"
But Beca silenced her friend's gushing, by braving up, and pressing her lips to the gorgeous redhead's lips. All of the awful stuff of the day just flitted right out of Beca's mind. There was no anxiety, no frustration, just calm, love, tenderness, and quiet. Until…
"Well, that didn't take as long as I thought it was going to," Amy said, coming out of the bathroom, still drying her hands. "Hey, Red, did you- ah, geez! More lesbo love in the kitchen!"
Beca broke the kiss, but Chloe kept a tight hold of her waist, keeping her body close. She cherished the warmth- and the heat- it brought.
"Ames!" Beca groaned in annoyance.
"Hi, Amy," Chloe said, the epitome of kindness, "Beca was just thanking me."
"For what?" Amy asked. "Not finishing dinner yet?"
"Shut up, Ames! Don't be an asshole!" Beca scolded her.
"Why am I an asshole? I'm just hungry. Oh, unless…"
"Unless what?"
"Unless you told her about your bad news from work, maybe?" Amy surmised. "Is this a comfort or a pity kiss, or something? Not that you two ever need an excuse to make out…"
"Honey, what happened at work?" Chloe asked in concern, her features betraying the worry overcoming her on Beca's behalf.
Tears forming in her eyes, Beca asked, "Hey, Ames, could you please give us a minute? I need to tell Chloe something."
"What?" the Australian asked, sounding hurt. "I don't get to hear?"
"I'll tell you later," Beca promised. "But could you step out for a moment?"
"No! I don't even have my shoes on!" the blond pouted.
"Would you mind going back to the bathroom?" Chloe suggested sensibly.
"Are you kidding, Beale? It stinks in there!"
"Amy!" Beca shouted, losing her cool once again. "Just leave!"
"No! Not until I get some dinner!"
Beca looked about ready to explode, when Chloe intervened yet again. "Hey, Amy," the sweet redhead told her, "if you give us a moment alone, after we talk, I will take both of you out for a night on the town, including dinner, okay?"
Just as Beca started to refuse her kind offer, feeling it would be taking advantage of Chloe's sweet nature yet again, Amy spoke over her with an enthusiastic, "Okay! I'll get my shoes on and wait downstairs! She you in a bit, lesbos!" She made a mad dash for the door, but paused and turned around. "Hey Becs, don't make her too mad or anything. I still want my free dinner!"
"Go away!" Beca hissed at her. She waited until Amy was out of the door, slamming it behind her. "Jesus, she's like a damn typhoon!"
"She went out like a wrecking ball," Chloe sang, making Beca laugh. "So, tell me, love, what's going on?"
The small music producer began to sweat under her friend's expectant gaze. "Um, well, first of all, Chlo, I want you to know that I did ask, I really tried, but… I'm so sorry, sweetie, but I…" she was already tearing up a little.
"You asked for time off again and your boss said no," Chloe said knowingly.
"Well, it was more like hell, no, but yeah, you're right," Beca sighed, feeling a bit choked up. "Also, he told me if I wanted to keep my job, I'd better just shut up about taking any time off and keep on working for the man." The little brunette wiped her eyes. "I am really sorry. I wanted to see the girls as much as you do. I miss them all, even Aubrey. So… just tell them hello from me, and text me some pictures. I'll call as often as I can, and…"
"Oh, Becs," Chloe whispered, taking the sad, sniffling brunette into her arms. "Baby, please don't cry."
"But I really wanted to go," Beca mumbled into her shoulder, releasing the tears, and the day's tension, melting into the embrace of the person she loved best.
"Honey, there's no reunion to miss, anyway," Chloe informed her, trying not to cry herself. "You're not the only one who just couldn't get time off. Aubrey is coming into her busy season at the resort, Cynthia Rose just started flight school, and Emily has mid terms to study for. The rest of the girls sound pretty busy, too."
"So, you're not planning a reunion then?" Beca asked in surprise. She could easily see the disappointment and sadness in her friend's big blue eyes.
"I am, just… not anywhere in the near future. It's not going to work out this year. But I'm not giving up. I'll see if next year will work better for everyone."
"You're so optimistic, Chlo," Beca complimented her, wiping her nose on her sleeve. "I know you really wanted to see everyone."
"Yeah, but it's just not a reunion if everyone can't be there," the redhead stated firmly, trying to stay positive. She didn't want to make Beca cry anymore. "Besides, I'm good for now. It's not like I'm deprived of Bella company. I Facetime Aubrey every weekend, Stacie and I keep up on Facebook. Cynthia Rose sends me texts all the time with cool pictures of airplanes. Jessica and Ashley write me letters, and Lilly sends me voodoo dolls in the mail."
"What?"
"It's okay. There's never any pins in them. And they've never resembled any of us Bellas, so I think we're safe."
"Jesus!"
"And hey, we live with Amy, so we see her every day!"
"Yeah…" Beca sighed, "everyday…"
Chloe chuckled, knowing that Beca was only kidding. "And the best part of all, is I've got you in my life, Becs. My absolute favorite!"
"Your favorite," Beca murmured, recalling that Chloe had told her that very fact early on in her first year at Barden University; her first year as a Bella.
"Oh, love," Chloe continued, "don't you know?"
"Know what?" the small woman mumbled sadly.
"I love coming home to you every evening, Becs! I love snuggling with you every night in the bed we share, and then waking up every morning to see your cute, little sleepy face. And honestly, as much as I love all of our Bella sisters, I love you more than all of them put together, and I wouldn't trade being with you every day, not for a… a hundred Bella reunions!"
"Oh, Chlo…" Beca sniffled, touched beyond compare. "I hope you know I feel the same. And I'm so grateful for you, and I… love… you… too…"
Realizing this was going to be another special moment, Beca saw Chloe lean forward, her luscious lips pursed, and she closed her eyes in anticipation. Their lips touched softly, and lingered for several seconds until Amy opened the door and saw them kissing.
The Australian rolled her eyes. "Oh, my God! Quit making out, and feed me! I'll meet you downstairs!"
Both women smiled at each other.
"Come on, beautiful," Chloe chuckled, after returning the bell peppers to the refrigerator, then taking Beca by the hand. "Let's go feed Amy. What kind of meal are you in the mood for tonight?"
It was on the tip of Beca's tongue to say, "you", but she caught herself in time, and instead said, "How about Mexican?"
"Sounds great, but we better grab Amy's lactaid tablets and some Gas-X."
"Oh, right!" Beca opened a cabinet, got the medications and put them in Chloe's purse, which she was holding open.
As they left the apartment to go meet Amy downstairs, Beca whispered something to Chloe about what they could do later that night…
PP PP PP
Later that night…
After dinner, Beca and Chloe had returned to the apartment, while Amy had decided to go out clubbing. The two remaining Bellas were warm and toasty, wearing the matching pajamas that Chloe's parents had sent them last Christmas, snuggled up in their shared bed. Beca's laptop balancing carefully upon her thighs, with a movie playing.
Beca rested her head on Chloe's shoulder, chuckling as Tom Hanks declared, "There's no crying in baseball!" The brunette enjoyed the feeling of Chloe's nimble fingers running through her dark locks. She felt content, safe, and… happy. When the realization hit, she snuggled closer to Chloe.
"I love this movie!" Chloe sighed, sounding equally happy. "And the company is fantastic, of course!" She kissed her friend's cheek to reiterate the fact. "I love you, Becs."
"Love you, too, Chlo," the young music producer replied, noticing how easy it rolled off of her tongue. She'd always said it to Chloe, even when they were just college students and friends. She'd always meant it, too. But lately, the words came easier, and the emotions were a welcome feeling, instead of merely a reason to panic. "I've missed our movie nights."
"Me, too," Chloe agreed. "This was a great idea, Becs!"
"Thanks!"
The two women went for the popcorn bowl at the same time, their fingers grabbing each other, causing them to giggle. But then they looked at each other. The look became a gaze. The gaze turned into motion on Chloe's behalf, as she leaned in close for a kiss….
"Well, pitches, I'm back!" Amy announced, bursting in through the front door to their tiny apartment. She saw what her friends were up to, and she rolled her eyes. They seriously needed to get a bigger place, where they had their own room.
Beca straightened up, feeling embarrassed at being caught in the middle of an intimate moment. "You're home early," she muttered. More than embarrassed, she was a little perturbed. Lately, any time she and Chloe had a moment with the potential to turn into something special, Amy nearly always managed to interrupt. They seriously needed a bigger place, where she and Chloe had their own room…
"It was not happening out there, unlike in here," Amy explained, then gave her friends a conspiratorial wink. She sat down on Beca's side of the bed, trying not to jostle anything too much, lest she knock the laptop over. "What you watching?"
"A League of Their Own," Chloe answered.
"Ooh, what a great movie! Loved it so much, I saw it twice!"
"Wow, must be your favorite," Beca retorted sarcastically, but it was all lost on Amy, who had spied the popcorn bowl and subtly pulled it closer.
Beca sighed. There goes our snack…
Chloe was in a more generous mood, as she smiled sweetly at Amy and asked, "Hey, want to watch the rest of the movie with us?"
"Eh, you sure?" Amy asked, more so to Beca than to Chloe. She knew the Big BM would never admit it, but Amy knew that Beca loved her snuggle time with Chloe. She didn't want to get yelled at for interrupting it.
Obviously, Chloe's generosity had rubbed off a little on Beca, and she scooted closer to the redhead, patting the empty space beside her. "Sure, Ames. Take a load off and watch with us."
"Well, cool!" Amy said, smiling. She slipped off her shoes and sat back against the headboard.
Beca got a little squished, being on a double bed with three people. She rutted around for a moment, trying to find a more roomy position, but soon found herself being pulled carefully into Chloe's lap, who guided her over with one hand, and held the laptop steady with the other.
"This okay, love?" Chloe asked.
"You know it is," Amy cracked, scooting even closer, so she could see the screen.
Sitting between Chloe's splayed legs, leaning back against the redhead's chest, Beca nodded silently in agreement. In fact, it was more than okay. It was heavenly.
"Well, it's only three of us Bellas," Amy mentioned, crunching on the popcorn, "but it's nice to have movie night again, eh, pitches?"
"Totes," Chloe agreed happily, going back to running her fingers through Beca's silky locks.
"Yeah, it's good," Beca sighed softly, reaching over to snag a handful of popcorn, before Amy could eat it all.
Then the three best friends continued to watch the movie in companionable silence, falling asleep there on the bed, and not waking till morning…

Less than a year later, the Bellas did have a reunion. It all started when Beca quit her job, the girls all went to the aquarium to watch Emily and the current Barden Bellas perform, and the gang all got together. Aubrey had come up with the idea of going on a USO tour her father had an affiliation with, and the rest, as they say, is history. But that's another story…
Chapter Six: Midnight Movie Madness and Fiancée Fun
The long, grueling, summer European tour was finally coming to an end, and Beca Mitchell couldn't have been happier about it. She had, for the most part, enjoyed it. She had been honing her musical and performing skills, made new friends, entertained her growing number of fans, explored Europe on her odd days off… but the best part of it all to her was leaving the stage after every show, and running into the arms of her beautiful, loving fiancée, Chloe Beale.
Chloe was her rock, her biggest fan, her constant support system, and her link to all that she was, is, and ever would be. The red haired beauty was the love of Beca's life, and the only person who could see into the darkest depths of her soul… and still love her at the end of the day.
So imagine Beca's total surprise and disappointment when, on the last night of the tour, after her very last performance, after not one, but two encores- based on audience reaction- Beca finally made it off stage, hot, sweaty, exhausted, but happy with her performance, expecting to find the ravishing redhead awaiting with open arms and a proud smile, but instead, she nearly bumped into a team of roadies, hurrying to prepare the stage for DJ Khaled's set. Beca looked around, trying to weave through the roadies, but couldn't find the one she sought.
"Chloe?" she whimpered pathetically, glancing into the face of every roadie, hopeful they would know her whereabouts.
"Great show tonight, Mitchell," one of them complimented her, "but watch out! We need to get to the stage in a hurry!"
"Sorry," Beca murmured. "But have you seen Chloe?"
"Not since after your first encore."
"Oh…" Beca then spotted DJ Khaled, getting himself ready to perform. She hurried over to him.
Khaled was looking into a mirror, saying, "You're good enough. You're smart enough, and doggone it, people like you!"
The small brunette would have laughed had she not been so worried and agitated at not finding Chloe. "Hey, Khaled," she dared to interrupt him, "you seen Chlo? Did she have to take Puddles for a walk, or something?" (Puddles was Khaled's rambunctious Labradoodle, that Chloe often looked after.)
"Hey Beca! Great job out there! I think your girl went back to the hotel," he told her distractedly. He was straightening out his suit. Next thing, his name was being called to come on stage. He playfully cuffed Beca's ear. Then he was off, eager to entertain the crowds.
The young singer just stood there for a moment, a bad feeling creeping in on her. Surely, Khaled was mistaken. It was her last show of the tour. Her final performance of the entire tour! Why would Chloe want to miss it?
Theo came bustling by, obviously in a hurry, and Beca, out of desperation, asked him if he had seen her elusive fiancée.
"Chloe?" he asked, sounding put out for having been stopped for such a trivial manner. "No, I don't know where the hell she is, Mitchell, and frankly, her whereabouts aren't my problem. You, on the other hand are, and boy are you a problem! Will I be seeing you at the after party, then?"
"Fuck you, Theo," Beca growled, angry and upset over not knowing where Chloe was, and pissed off by his cavalier attitude.
He sighed. "I'll take that as a no." Then, he was off again.
On a last ditch effort to find her girl, Beca ventured further backstage to her dressing room. It was dark and empty. She turned on the light to find a huge bouquet of red roses sitting on her vanity. She didn't bother reading the card, figuring it was either from Khaled, for doing a good job, or (and she shuddered at the thought of it), from Theo, who was still possibly harboring feelings of bonafide lust for her.
Sitting down at her vanity in defeat, Beca looked into the mirror, staring at her tired face and her red rimmed eyes, and the tears started to flow of their own volition. "Shit!" she muttered, grabbing a tissue and wiping futilely at her eyes.
"Hey, Ms. Mitchell, what's the matter, honey?"
Beca glanced up with a gasp. Standing in the doorway was her makeup artist, Violet, a kind lady in her late sixties. She had a soft spot for both Beca and Chloe, as well as being a great LGBTQ ally.
"Uh, Violet… hi…"
"What's wrong, kiddo?"
"What makes you think something is wrong?" Beca sniffled, turning away from the older woman to wipe at her tears. It was pointless, of course, as she was staring into a mirror and still visible to Violet from the doorway.
"Well, you're all alone on the last night of your tour, you're ignoring that gorgeous bouquet of flowers sitting right in front of you. And if that wasn't enough to clue me in, you're crying like a kid on Christmas who just got a stocking full of coal. So, what gives, Mitchell?"
Violet had always been a sympathetic ear to talk to, and Beca would genuinely miss her now that touring was over.
"I…" Beca began, not sure what to say. "I mean…"
Violet came into the room, and stood behind Beca, putting her hands on the singer's trembling shoulders. "Come on, Becs, what's up? I hate to see your pretty little face so glum."
"I'm just feeling…" Beca started again, trying not to feel sorry for herself, but it wasn't working, "kind of sad… and… pissed."
"Pissed?" Violet asked. "Like piss drunk, or pissed off?"
"Pissed off."
"Ah, I see. Theo again, I take it?"
"Huh? I mean, I'm always pissed at Theo, but no, that's not why I feel this way right now."
"Could it be the end-of-touring blues, maybe?"
"What's that?" Beca asked.
"Exactly what it sounds like, kid," Violet explained. "Some artists really love performing. It's what makes them feel alive. Some people get off on the traveling, meeting new people, getting out in the world…"
Beca shook her head. "That's not it. I mean, I do enjoy performing for an audience, don't get me wrong, but at the end of the day, I just want to go home."
"Where's home?" Violet asked.
"Uh… I don't really have one right now," Beca admitted. "I mean, I used to live in this tiny apartment in New York. My roommate lived with us and she said after the lease ran out, she was getting a new place, but I haven't lived there as of yet. So, I guess home for me right now, is just going back to a hotel."
"No, Beca, that's not it," the older woman informed her. "It's not a place. Home is where the heart is. Where's your heart, Mitchell?"
"With Chloe…"
Violet smiled. "That what I thought. And Miss Beale is always with you, so you're always home."
Beca smiled back, but it was a sad smile. "Well, that's normally true. But tonight… Chlo, she just… sort of… disappeared on me. She always stays for my show, but when I came off stage tonight, looking for her, she wasn't there at all…" the young singer's voiced trailed off.
"And there's the reason for all the tears," Violet replied knowingly. "Look, Miss Mitchell, Chloe left just before your last encore. She was there to see the show."
"But why didn't she wait for me?" the brunette asked defensively.
"Oh, look at those beautiful roses on your vanity, there," the makeup artist said, changing the subject. "Somebody must really love you."
The small woman rolled her eyes. "They're probably from Theo. Damn fool still thinks he has a chance with me, even though he knows I sleep with a goddess every night!"
Violet shook her head. "Theo hasn't been by all day. He's too preoccupied with the final concert and the wrap party afterwards."
"They could be from DJ Khaled," Beca suggested with a shrug. "Not to sound too full of myself, but I'm pretty sure he's happy with my efforts on this tour."
Again, Violet shook her head. "Khaled likes you very much, Beca, but not three dozen roses worth! He might send something like that to his fiancee, though…"
"Fiancée?"
"Why don't you just read the card, Beca?"
Beca reached for the envelope, hidden amongst all of the beautiful roses, and opened it, to see the letter inside. It read:
To My Dearest Beca-Boo!
Congratulations on the conclusion of your first tour! I am so proud of
you! I know there's going to be a big party tonight after the show, and if you want
to go, just call me, and I'll be there within 20 minutes. But, if I know you- and I
do, on a Biblical level- I think you'd rather just hole up in our hotel room and
decompress. If that's the case, then please hurry home. I have a special surprise
for you, darling.
All my love, forever and ever,
Chloe Beale, Fiancée! XOXO 3
Grabbing the card and a few of the roses, Beca was off in a flash, but returned to kiss her makeup artist on the cheek and say, "Thanks, Vi!"
"Have fun, Mitchell! And make sure that Miss Beale does, too!" Violet called after her, chuckling softly.
"Will do!"

Beca raced back to the hotel in a hurry. On the way into the lobby, she dropped one of the roses, but still had three left. But then, she was stopped once by a couple of fans near the elevator. She knew she had to be polite, so she smiled, signed autographs, took a selfie with them, and gave them each a rose, thanking them for their support. The two young women were both giddy beyond compare, and slipped away, giggling and whispering at how cool Ms. Mitchell was in real life. This made Beca chuckle to herself, as she jumped into the elevator, hitting the button that would soon deliver her to Chloe.
On the way up, she contemplated her first meeting with the fans, and felt good about the encounter. Theo, she was sure, would have approved, not that she truly gave a crap about how he felt. But she also knew that Chloe would be proud of her, for handling herself in a warm, friendly manner to the two young people who looked up to her. Chloe's approval meant everything to her, and she vowed to tell the ginger all about the impromptu autograph session as soon as she could.
Feeling sheepish that she only had one rose left to present to her beloved, Beca nevertheless, ran out of the elevator, and down the hallway of her floor, to the hotel room she currently shared with her fiancee. When she got to the door, she reached into her pocket, then fumbled with the key card, trying to insert it into the lock slot, where she would finally be with Chloe…
But before she could get it to work- she always had trouble with those damn key cards- the door thankfully opened without her help, and there was her illustrious Chloe standing before her, wearing a pale pink negligee, and a smile. "Welcome home, Beca-Boo!"
"Holy shit, Chlo!" Beca exclaimed in surprise, her eyes dilating with lust, her mouth watering at the mere sight of the woman. She tackled the redhead, her lips seeking the lips of the one she loved most in the world. She slammed the door shut behind her, and practically threw Chloe to the bed, before jumping in after her, while simultaneously ripping off her dress.
"Wow, Becs," Chloe chuckled, as Beca covered her neck and cleavage with a barrage of sloppy kisses. It made her giddy to know that she could elicit such a wanton response from her fiancee by just wearing a fancy nightgown. "You're such an ardent lover…"
"Love you, Chlo," Beca moaned, in the heat of the moment, as she lie back on the bed, and pulled Chloe down on top of her. "You're so hot, baby! So hot!"
The two lovebirds kissed and moaned, and indulged in many carnal pleasures of the flesh, before bringing each other to ecstasy. Then they just snuggled on the bed, both breathless, sweaty, clinging desperately to each other.
Beca sighed in happy exhaustion, pushing her damp hair off of her glowing face. She cuddled up closer to her equally happy and sweaty fiancee, who was now as naked as she, her negligee having fallen by the wayside early on in their tryst.
"Well, Chlo," the singer chuckled softly as she ran her fingertips up and down Chloe's breasts and stomach, "that was certainly something special."
"It certainly was, darling," the redhead replied, reaching over to take Beca's hand. "You know you're the best I've ever had, right?"
"I feel the same about you, Chloe," Beca agreed. "You're amazing! Hey, where's that last rose I brought- ow! I think I'm lying on it!"
"Thorn?" Chloe asked knowingly, and her fiancee nodded with a grimace. The redhead reached back and retrieved it from the bed, setting it on the nightstand beside them.
"Damn, it's crushed."
"Good. I'll press it in a book," Chloe told her. Beca smiled. Her future wife was very sweet and sentimental, and she wouldn't want her any other way.
"It's already pretty pressed, babe," the brunette laughed. "It was under me, who was recently under you, and I swear you were going to break the bed in half."
Chloe giggled. "Well, there's something to aim for next time." She winked at Beca, who blushed. "Hey, love, do you want your special surprise now?"
Beca stretched most sensually out on the bed, feeling joints pop and muscles strain that she'd never even known she'd had before tonight. "But I thought you in that hot negligee, and all of the sweaty sex was my special surprise, babe."
"Is it ever really a surprise when we have sex, though, love?" Chloe asked with a smirk, running her fingertips enticingly over Beca's supple breasts.
"True," Beca had to concede. Ever since they had officially become a couple, they went at it like rabbits every chance they got. She learned quite quickly that not only did Chloe have an insatiable libido, but hers had grown immensely as well. Who knew that same sex loving could be so much more fun? "That sexy nightie was a nice touch though. So, what's my big surprise then, Chlo?"
"Dinner and a movie!"
"Aw, that's sweet, honey, but I don't think I could go out again tonight. I don't even know if I'd be capable of walking after what we just did!"
"Who said anything about going out?" Chloe asked her with an enigmatic smile, and she gestured over to the small table on the other side of the room. A delicious looking dinner was already set up. "And we could just watch a movie in here. We have a big screen TV, and the hotel offers free Netflix!"
"Movie night," Beca surmised. "Haven't had one of those since before we left New York, months ago. That sounds really cool, Chlo."
"You get to pick the movie, too, love," Chloe told her, kissing her tenderly, before sitting up and reaching for her robe.
"But, Chloe, you set all of this up, and you always-"
"And you have worked really hard all summer on this tour," the redhead reminded her. "You have been so busy and overworked. You deserve to slow down, celebrate, and relax now."
"You've been with me the whole way, though, babe," Beca said, smiling gratefully at the woman she loved. "You've taken care of me this whole time, and I'm sure it wasn't easy. I can be a real shit sometimes, or so I've been told. But you've made sure I always ate all of my meals, you made sure I showered, brushed my teeth, and got enough sleep. On my days off, you always knew whether I needed a day of site seeing to clear my mind, or a day of sleeping in, to regenerate my body. You've done so much for me. Truthfully, you always have, Chlo. You're the best fiancee in the whole wide world!" Beca stopped herself, and began to laugh. "Oh, geez! I think you're rubbing off on me. I've never sounded that positive in my life! I'm so Chlo-tastic!"
The redhead laughed as well, then kissed Beca sweetly. "Yes, you did sound a little Chloe-esque. But that's not a… bad thing, is it?"
"God, no!" Beca assured her. "Never! Chloe, you've been the best influence on me, more than anyone else has been in my whole life! Back when I first met you at Barden, I was just a bitter, angry kid with a huge chip on my shoulder. I knew I wanted to produce music, but I had no vision, no plan, and no real ambition. I also had no idea about life, and no friends to help me find my way, until… this beautiful, absolutely exquisite redhead barged her way into my shower, and taught me about music, organization, dedication, friendship, and most of all-"
"A Capella!" Chloe declared with a grin.
"Well, yeah, that, too, but I was going with love, Chloe. I didn't know shit about true love and devotion, until I met you."
Chloe's large, blue eyes began to well with heartfelt tears, a trait that Beca always secretly loved. Chloe Beale had always been an open book, wearing her heart on her sleeve, as it were. It was one of the reasons she loved her so much.
"You taught me a lot, too, love," the ginger insisted, gently caressing Beca's cheek.
Thinking about the past brought a sudden dark cloud over her sunshine. Beca's eyes looked downcast, and she felt rather guilty. "Like what, Chlo? How to have the patience of a saint? How to keep your love in check for six years? How to give so much, and not get anything in return? How to-" Beca's sad words were silenced, when her lips were covered by Chloe's, and a long, slow, moist, sensual kiss took over the conversation.
"No more putting yourself down, love," Chloe instructed her after their kiss had ended. "Besides, it's time for nourishment and entertainment. I had ordered lemon pepper chicken for you and some tofu for me. We've got vegetable soup, fresh salads, and some delicious potatoes, made Au Gratin. I'd say, after your stellar performance on stage, as well as the perfection you just displayed in our bed, you should have quite an appetite by now. So, ready for dinner?"
"Yes, Chlo, thanks," Beca replied sheepishly. She had forgotten, for the briefest moment, that Chloe was her champion, and her greatest defender, even from herself. She didn't tolerate any insults or derision about her 'Beca-Boo'.
It was true though, after her two great performances, as Chloe put it, Beca was famished. She eagerly chowed down on her food, eating with enthusiasm and gusto. After dinner, the two women got ready for bed, brushing their teeth, washing their faces, taking turns on the loo, before they both hurried back to their bed, and grabbed the television remote. Beca quickly got on Netflix.
"Okay, Chlo, all is ready. Now comes the hard part- deciding on a movie."
"Well, since you refuse to go first and pick," the redhead stated sensibly, "we will just have to meet half way and make a compromise. So, what do you think?"
"The Texas Chainsaw Massacre!" Beca said, noticing that the movie was on her recommended list. At the same time, Chloe had suggested, "The Doll House?"
"Oh, boy," Beca laughed. "Could we be any further apart here? This must be where the compromise comes in."
"Uh… The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas?" the redhead tried again.
This made Beca only laugh harder. "Wow, baby! That's a lot of hookers, hooters, and nookie!"
"But it's a musical!"
"Chloe…" the brunette whined. She had no intention of watching that movie.
"I guess you're right," Chloe conceded. "I mean we get all of that, anyway, on a daily basis…" Beca gave her a look. "Well, except for the hooker part."
"Yeah, don't think we will ever need a third party in our bed," the singer told her, smiling. "But, are you looking for a musical? I wouldn't mind that."
"Yay!"
"You're such a Bella," Beca laughed. "You practically eat, sleep, and breathe music all day long, and you still can't get enough."
"The same way I feel about you, Becs," Chloe told her, making the little rock-star-on-the-rise blush and bury her face into her fiancée's shoulder.
The two of them eventually decided on watching Grease. It was a fun, happy movie that they both knew all the words of the songs to. They even sang Summer Nights together, but they didn't even make it to the prom. Both were sound asleep in each other's arms, blissfully unaware of all the hardships Sandy and Danny had to face, before they knew that they go together…
Chapter 7: Movie Night at the Mansion
Beca and Chloe's first day back in the states in nearly a year had been a whirlwind of new experiences. First up, they got to fly back in first class. The only times Beca had ever done so before was whenever she'd fly with Chloe to go see her family in Portland, Oregon, during their college years. She had hinted to Chloe about joining the mile high club during their last plane ride, but there was too much going on in first class. Too many passengers, too many flight attendants, they would probably have been missed. And they were so exhausted, anyway, that they mostly slept and snuggled in each other's embrace.
Once at the airport in New York, they headed back down the ramp after the security check point where their good friend, Amy Hobart, awaited them. They were stopped once, though, by a young fan coming off of the same flight. The teenage girl had seen Beca perform on the night that the rising star had introduced Chloe to the world as her fiancee, so she had recognized them both! The star struck teen gushed over them both, then asked for their autographs and a selfie. The two sleepy women happily complied, surprised to find a fan already in the US. The young lady then saw her boyfriend waiting for her at the bottom of the ramp, so she bid them farewell, after a little more gushing and a group hug, and hurried off to tell her boyfriend all about her big meeting!
"Wow," Beca murmured, truly surprised. "My first recognition in the states. How weird was that, Chlo?"
"Better get used to it, love," Chloe informed her, taking her fiancee by the arm as they continued down the ramp. "You're a big star now!"
"Nah," Beca downplayed it all modestly. "I've only had one summer tour- in Europe! Nobody else around here will know me, I'm sure."
As if on cue, Amy came bustling along, and she shouted, "Well, if it isn't the fabulous Big BM, and her sweet, sidekick, Ginger Vet!"
Now, everyone in the vicinity was staring at them, as well as Amy, who was waving shamelessly at them. Beca looked mortified, but Chloe was actually just excited to see…
"Amy!" the redhead cried happily, racing down the ramp to give the rambunctious Australian a big hug.
"Hey, Chlo, how was Europe and all of the hot and heavy Beca sex you've waited so long for?" Amy chuckled, embracing her back. She noticed Beca's face was bright red.
"Oh, Europe was aca-awesome, as to be expected, and the Beca sex was beyond exquisite-"
"Chloe!" Beca interrupted. She turned to their blond friend. "Jesus, Ames, we've been here all of five minutes, and you're already causing a scene!"
"You know me, Mitchell, go big, or go home! And speaking of which, welcome home, Becs!" Amy pulled her tiny friend into a bone crushing bear hug.
"Mmph! Ow! Okay, Ames! Nice to see you, too! Lemme go now!"
Reluctantly, Amy let go of her best bud, and said, "C'mon, let's get all of your shit from baggage claim, and get out of here! Oh, and Chloe, be sure to call or text your parents, your grammy, your brother, Aubrey, Stacie, Legacy, Cynthia Rose, Flo, Lilly, er, uh, I mean Esther, and Jessica and Ashley- which I now call them Assica, ever since I caught them making out in gay Paree!"
Chloe laughed in delight. "So, they're finally out and proud, huh?"
"According to them, they always have been. We just never paid attention."
"Whoops!"
"Assica?" Beca asked, making a face. "Um, do they know you call them that?"
"Well, I know it's no Bhloe, but I can't always be on, you know," Amy said.
"Yeah, but… Assica?"
"You think of a better one, then!"
"How about Jeshley?" Chloe suggested.
"Are you kidding, Red? That sounds absolutely ridiculous!" Amy scolded her.
"Oh, well, sorry…"
"Not any more ridiculous than Assica," Beca defended her fiancee. "Hey, wait a second. Aren't I supposed to call anyone?"
"Sure. Your mom and dad."
"That's it?"
"Yeah…"
The small brunette narrowed her eyes. "How come no one wants me to call them?"
Amy looked at her. "If you wanted the latest news and a pleasant conversation, would you want to talk to you, or Chloe?"
"Ah," Beca replied, enlightened. "I get it now."
Chloe rolled her eyes. "That's not true! Becs, I always have wonderful conversations with you, love, all the time!"
"I don't think sucking face constitutes a meaningful conversation, Red," Amy told her, and Beca laughed.
"We don't only suck face!" Chloe protested.
"Yeah, I'm sure you ladies suck on a lot of things," Amy cracked, as the three of them reached baggage claim. This time, Chloe did giggle, and Beca just blushed.
"Let's just find our bags and get out of here," Beca sighed. She walked over to the carousel, waiting for a glimpse of any of hers or Chloe's luggage.
Chloe looked after her, completely twitterpated. "Isn't she just the most poised, beautiful sight you've ever seen, Amy?"
Amy glanced over at her friend, saw Beca absently pick some food out of her teeth. "Oh, yeah… totally…" she replied, shaking her head.

"So, where is this new place, anyway?" Beca groaned from the front passenger seat. She'd been in a car to the airport in Europe, several flights, and now in a car- Amy's brand new Mercedes- from the airport in the last sixteen hours. She just wanted to go home.
"We're almost there, Beca, you little pain in the ass," Amy sighed, making another right hand turn.
"Hey! I'm not a pain in the ass!"
"Well, you're acting like a diva, Becs," Amy told her matter-of-factly. "Of course, you've always been a bit of a butt when you get tired or hungry or impatient, so I guess it's nothing really new. I just haven't had to deal with it for the past few months."
"Bite me, Ames!"
"Okay, love you, too, Aubs. I will talk to you again as soon as we're all settled in," Chloe said, talking on the phone from her place in the back seat. She hung up the phone, and grumbled at the two up front. "Ladies, can we please be nice to each other? We haven't seen each other in months, and your first instinct is to argue?"
"She started it!" both Beca and Amy muttered at once.
Chloe groaned. "Both of you need to calm yourselves. I have been on the phone for the past hour, talking to…" and she counted in her head, "… thirteen people, and all I keep hearing from the front seat is you two yelling and fighting!"
"So?" Amy asked.
"So… Beca and I are finally back in the states, we're here with our dear Bella sister, Amy, and we shouldn't be arguing! I mean, I for one, am excited to see our new home! I want to get settled in, and then shit, shower, and shave, get something to eat, and christen the new bed with my radiant fiancee."
"TMI, Chlo," Beca mumbled in embarrassment, although it sounded like a solid plan.
"Yeah," Amy agreed. "Like I need to know when you shave!"
Chloe sighed tiredly. "Are we there yet?"
"Yeah," Beca started up again. "Where is this new place, Ames? I hope it's an actual house, and not like a vacant lot, or a halfway house, or something!"
"Right, a halfway house," Amy snickered. "You know I don't do anything halfway."
"So, where's this awesome house, then, Ames?" Beca demanded to know. She was hungry, tired, dirty, and horny. She figured she could take care of all of those issues once she got home.
"See for yourself, short stack…"
"Oh, my God!" Beca gasped, as Amy drove up to a closed gate that she opened with a remote control. Behind the gate stood an incredibly large building that could only be described as a mansion.
"Wait, are we at another hotel?" Chloe sighed. She, like her fiancee, just wanted to go home.
"No, little Red," Amy laughed at her friend's innocence. "This is our house."
"What? Really?" Chloe asked, her large blue eyes growing even larger. She couldn't believe it.
And she wasn't the only one… "What the hell!" Beca declared. "Ames, how can this mansion be our house?"
"Because I have a hundred and eighty million dollars in the bank," Amy told her. "Well, after buying the house, only a hundred and seventy million, but who's counting?"
"Holy shit!" Beca whispered in shock. "We live in a ten million dollar house?!"
"Well, it's probably worth more than that by now," the Australian explained. "The Realtor said something about property values would go up, but I wasn't really listening."
"Jesus…"
"This is aca-awesome to the max!" Chloe shouted into their ears from the backseat, but no one could really blame her. "Hey, how many bedrooms does it have?"
"In the main house, there are six, two of which are master suites. And each bedroom has its own bathroom. We also have a couple of powder rooms."
"Wow! You know how many people could poop at our house at the same time now?" Chloe exclaimed in excitement.
"Gross, Chlo," Beca laughed.
"A lot of people could be shitting at our house on any given day," Amy agreed.
"Would you guys stop focusing on poop?" the singer sighed.
"Wuss," Amy teased her. "But yeah, the main house has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a family room, living room, a huge kitchen, a formal dining room, with an apartment over the garage, that has two bedrooms and a bath. Then, outside, we have a pool house, you know, to go with our seven foot deep swimming pool! The pool house has an extra three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Again, we could have a group shitting on our property, and no one would have to wait for a seat!"
"We have a pool?" Chloe asked breathlessly, as it seems the dream home she mentioned once to Beca when they were still on the USO tour was actually a real place, and it was theirs! "Did you hear that, Becs? We have a pool! And it's seven feet deep! We could have diving contests, and everything!"
"Yeah, that's great, Chlo," Beca told her, smiling, although she knew her fiancee must have forgotten that she wasn't much of a swimmer. She'd only really learned back when she'd first gone to visit the Beale's house at the end of her sophomore year. She turned to Amy, who was carefully steering her way down the enormous driveway. "So, how many feet, Ames?"
"I told you; seven."
"Not the pool, the house."
"The main house, or the pool house?"
"The main house!"
"Oh, yeah, um, about twenty-one…"
"Twenty-one hundred feet?" Beca wondered.
"No, Becs, twenty-one thousand feet."
"Oh, wow, that's big," Chloe murmured, on the verge of swooning, she was so overwhelmed.
"Amy doesn't do anything small," Beca marveled.
They finally pulled up to the garage, where Amy parked in the one closest to the side kitchen door. The garage had the capacity to hold up to five vehicles.
"I got the biggest house available," Amy said. "Mostly, I wanted to make sure there was enough room between us so I wouldn't hear all the sex I'm sure you're going to have all night. But I know that Chloe here likes to have Bella reunions, and this place should accommodate everyone. No need for hotels, or people sleeping on the floor, or anything. It should be cool."
"It will be!" Chloe agreed wholeheartedly, and Beca nodded an affirmative as well.
Once the car was parked and the engine turned off, the three women got out of the vehicle. Chloe headed for the trunk, to retrieve their luggage.
"Why don't we get that all after dinner, okay, Chloe?" Amy suggested. "I mean, unless you have something perishable in there; exotic lubricant, perhaps? Edible undies?"
Beca rolled her eyes.
"I don't think our lube is perishable, is it, Becs?" Chloe asked in all innocence, causing Amy to guffaw, while Beca discovered a new shade of pink to try on.
"Come on, sex fiends, I want to show you around," Amy said, unlocking the kitchen door, and opening it, reaching in to turn on a light. "This way…"
They all entered the house through the kitchen, which was huge. They all marveled at it, Chloe imagining baking cookies, and all sorts of delicious meals for the three of them. Amy envisioned eating all of those cookies and meals. And Beca wondered if she could ever talk Chloe into having sex on the kitchen table…
As they left the kitchen, passing by the large, formal dining room, Amy continued the tour. "We each have an office. They're kind of small, but enough for a desk and a chair and a laptop, right?"
"Sure!"
"There's the living room over there," the Australian went on, pointing to it. "And down this way is the family room. We also have a living space upstairs, as well. Down that hall," she said, pointing to the left, "is your room. And down this one, is my room. You guys will have plenty of space for hanky panky so don't be doing anything like that in my space!"
"Wouldn't dream of it," Beca sighed, rolling her eyes.
"We have our own at-home movie theater," Amy said, and Chloe squealed. "Also, there's a music room, Becs, that you could use to practice singing, or song writing, or mixing beats, whatever."
"Sweet, Amy, thanks!"
"I still can't believe how big the kitchen is!" Chloe murmured, still in total shock at how vast her new home was.
"Perfect for cooking big meals for your friend, Amy, right?" the Australian hinted, none too subtly.
"Of course!"
"Hey, how far is this place from the recording studio?" Beca asked. "Remember' I showed it to you as we passed it on the way from the airport."
Amy shrugged. "Can't be more than twenty minutes, or so, give or take with traffic. You know how it'll be in the mornings, and then again at rush hour."
"That's great! And Chlo, where's your new vet school? Isn't it in the city, just outside of the suburbs?"
"Oh, yeah," the redhead replied, "I bet it's a half hour away, or less!"
"Fantastic," Beca said, smiling at Chloe. "Then you won't have a long commute and will get home at a decent time every evening."
"Just in time to make dinner," Amy subtly put in.
"No!" Beca scolded her. "I just want her home by dark, and here with me in the evenings."
"Thanks, love," Chloe cooed at her.
"So, um, I did okay, then?" Amy asked her friends with a hopeful expression.
"You did so much more than okay," Chloe piped up happily.
"You did perfect," Beca told her, and the three women came together for a group hug.
Amy grinned in satisfaction, then continued to show them around the house, including upstairs, as well as their property, the pool, pool house, and the apartment above the garage. Finally, she led them down the hallway in which their room resided.
"Well, here it is," Amy said, as they entered their new boudoir, tastefully furnished and decorated, with a large California King size bed as the central piece. "Your new love shack!"
"Love shack?" Chloe giggled. "This is more like a love palace!" She reached over and gave her fiancée's hand an excited squeeze. "I can't believe this is ours, Becs! We get to share this gorgeous bedroom!"
"Wait, no, I think you misunderstand, Chloe," Amy told her. "We have such a large house. I can't have us wasting all of this space. You can come in here for sex, but you have your own room upstairs."
"Wait, I have to stay upstairs…?" Chloe asked sadly. "But… I want to be with Beca…"
"Tough titty, kid. We need to utilize every inch of this place."
Just when Chloe looked like she was about to cry, both Amy and Beca began to laugh. "Chlo," Beca assured her, "you know she's kidding, right?"
"Yeah, Red, I'm totally kidding," Amy assured her. "I mean, you two lesbos are engaged. Of course, you're gonna sleep together! That will save up a bed for another person."
The redhead forced a smile. "Of course, I knew you were kidding…" she scoffed, affecting a sly look that neither of her companions believed for a second.

Several nights later…
Beca and Chloe had finally finished all of their unpacking, both what they had brought home from their trip, as well as boxes of things from their old apartment, and some stuff they had been forced to put in storage when they'd moved to New York, since their apartment had been so small. Their room was truly their own now.
They had been making, and eating fabulous meals in that huge kitchen that Chloe loved so much. Beca had looked over some songs that DJ Khaled wanted her to sing on her new album, and had used the new music room. They had gone swimming in their pool. The three friends had all watched a few movies on the big screen in their new movie theater.
Tonight though, was to be more of a private movie night.
"Oh, it's our first movie night in our room, Becs," Chloe squealed in delight, giving her fiancee an affectionate embrace.
"An old tradition in a new location," Beca replied, smiling, giving the beautiful redhead a soft kiss.
Anticipating a night of passion after the movie, both women stripped down, and slipped into bed, in nothing but their birthday suits, together. They snuggled in close and Beca hit play on the DVD player remote for their big screen TV.
"What are we watching, love?" Chloe asked.
"You'll see," Beca told her. "Just wait…"
The movie came on and Chloe just melted. "Oh, my God! It's Beauty and the Beast! Beca, you remembered!" She gave her fiancee a big kiss of love and gratitude.
"Of course, I remembered," Beca said, feeling a little nostalgic. Her hands started rubbing gently, sensually, up and down Chloe's bare back and shoulders.
"It was the first movie we ever watched together," Chloe sighed romantically.
"That's right," Beca replied, leaning over to pepper Chloe's soft skin with tender kisses. "Thought since this was a new beginning for us, we should add something classic to the mix, for good luck." She ran her tongue along the redhead's collarbone most seductively.
"You're so sweet, Beca-Boo," Chloe whispered lovingly, turning to kiss the top of Beca's head. "Hey, did you ever think, back so long ago, when we first watched this together, that we'd end up here, like this?"
"Oh, definitely," Beca mumbled, her hands reaching up to cup the most exquisite breasts she had ever had the pleasure to know.
Chloe laughed. "Yeah, right!"
Beca paused in her seduction, long enough to say, "Well, I knew there was something… special between us, even back then."
"Did it make you feel all squishy inside?" Chloe asked. "Or make you feel aroused?"
"Actually, it made me a little sick to my stomach," the young singer admitted sheepishly. "You were- and still are- gorgeous beyond compare, Chlo, as well as loving and kind, and overwhelmingly affectionate, with the emphasis on 'overwhelming'."
"That's okay, Becs," Chloe said, softly. "I guess I could be a lot to handle…"
"No, Chlo, it's not like that. You just scared me into realizing that not only did I think women were hot, but I was very capable of falling in love with one- namely you."
Sentimental tears threatened to fall from Chloe's baby blues, and they posed for a kiss, when suddenly Belle showed up on screen, singing about that baker, with his tray, like always, and the same old bread and rolls to sell…
"Oh, baby, look!" Chloe squealed in excitement. "It's Belle! Listen to her song. This is the best part!"
Beca closed her eyes for a moment. Perhaps Disney had not been the best choice for tonight. Chloe's love of Disney movies was well known throughout the Bella organization. Beca wanted sex. Right now. But she smiled. This was Disney. Chloe loved Disney. She would simply have to wait.
Sitting up, accepting her fate, Beca snuggled in closer to Chloe. "This movie is relatively short, right?" she queried, barely keeping her libido in check.
"Um, yeah," Chloe replied distractedly. "About an hour and a half."
"Good thing you're worth the wait," the small brunette chuckled, kissing Chloe's shoulder and resolving herself to watching the movie, before she would see any action.

"Patience is a virtue," Beca moaned, an hour and a half later. "Oh, God, Chloe…"
Chapter 8: Marriage... and (Finally) a Movie
Beca and Chloe Mitchell had been married for about a year and a half. They were still happy, still deeply in love, still enjoying great sex, whenever the opportunity arose. Unfortunately, lately, there was very little opportunity for much of anything more than a good morning 'hello', or a goodnight kiss.
Chloe was in her third year of vet school. She was learning a lot, becoming confident in her skills and knowledge, but she was also always exhausted. She would often come home, dragging herself through the door, and wanting to go right to her office to do homework and crash. Beca sometimes found her, late at night, drooling on her laptop, as she'd fallen asleep at her desk.
Both Beca and Amy would have to follow her about the house with food, enticing, sometimes cajoling her into eating, otherwise she would forget to eat because of her studying, or she'd fall asleep before she could get to making any dinner.
It would make Beca cry sometimes, because if a human being is too tired to eat and replenish their nutrients, then sex was pretty much out of the question. And she missed sex. Mostly, she worried about her wife's health though. The redhead was wan, bleary eyed and exhausted every day after school.
Of course, Beca had been busy, too. Summer was coming up, which meant it was time for her second tour. Her first album was doing very well, climbing the charts both in the US and abroad. DJ Khaled told her that this time, she'd be entertaining her American fans, traveling over the summer, across the United States, beginning in California, and ending it back in New York. Beca remembered all of the fun she'd had with Chloe on her first tour in Europe. She was actually looking forward to being on the road again, traveling across the country, with her beautiful wife at her side, cheering her on from backstage, just as she had done the last time. Beca recalled, with great fondness, how it felt to leave the stage, after an encore, or two, and run, triumphantly, into Chloe's arms after her show.
The more she thought about it, the happier Beca felt. This tour would give she and Chloe the time they needed to reconnect, and bring the romance back. And all of the sex, Beca mused, feeling amorous just thinking about it, really missing all the sex!
Once she had been given the exact dates of the tour, Beca got home from the recording studio, waiting impatiently for Chloe to come home, so she could share the good news. While she was waiting for her beloved to return home for the evening, Beca did something she hadn't done in a long while- in too long, if she was being honest with herself- and she made a big dinner for her loving wife. She'd made a nice stir fry with lots of veggies and tofu. She herself didn't care for tofu much, but Chloe loved it, and she needed the protein for more energy.
Amy came home from wherever it was she went that day. She looked hopeful that one of her favorite lesbos was making dinner (even if she preferred Chloe's culinary skills over Beca's, Chloe never seemed to have a chance to do much cooking this year), but when Beca told her she was making tofu stir fry for Chloe, the Australian visibly blanched, and contented herself with ordering a pizza, and taking it to her room.
It was just as well. Beca really wanted to spend some quality alone time with her wife, anyway. And she had just finished putting dinner on the table, when Chloe walked in through the side door kitchen entrance.
"Chlo!" Beca cried excitedly, and she raced over to her, jumping into her arms.
The tired woman nearly fell backwards, she was caught off-guard, but she managed to keep upright, as her loving wife gave her a long, passionate kiss.
"Mmm, Becs, that felt good! I can't remember the last time we kissed like that!" she murmured, closing her eyes for a moment, basking in the bliss of being in love.
"I know," the small brunette agreed, carefully. "Lately, there never really seems to be much time for that." She tried to remain diplomatic about the whole thing, but they both were well aware that it was mostly Chloe's schedule that kept them apart these days.
"I'm really sorry for that, baby," Chloe apologized, looking like she was about to cry.
"No, Chloe, don't get upset, honey. I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I just- hey, guess what? I made us some dinner! Tofu and veggie stir fry, one of your favorites!"
"Oh, my gosh! Thank you, Beca-Boo!" Chloe exclaimed, truly touched, and trying to exude enough energy to be enthusiastic about it. "That was so sweet of you… but wait! I thought you hated tofu."
"Hate is a strong word, babe," Beca laughed. "I mean, it's not my favorite, or anything, but I know you love it, so that's what's on the menu for tonight. Sit down now, Chlo. Dinner's already on the table."
The redhead, ever mindful of cleanliness, first washed her hands at the kitchen sink, then meandered over to the table, and sat down in her chair with a rather ungraceful plop, a very unChloe like movement. She also kept her elbows on the table, another big no-no for her, if only to keep her head held upright in one of her hands. She looked like she might fall asleep at any moment. But for Beca's sake, she forced herself to stay awake and eat. The food was delicious, after all, and had been most lovingly prepared by her wife. The redhead enjoyed every last bite, and even asked for seconds. She hadn't eaten this much, or this well, in weeks.
Beca chowed down along side of her, thankfully hungry so she could stomach the tofu. All the while, she kept a watchful eye on Chloe. Her wife, while always beautiful to her, was growing a little more thin and pale with each passing day. Constant studying, with little time for anything else, was sure to take a toll on anyone. So, she was happy to see the redhead enjoy a home cooked meal.
"So, um," Beca began, taking hers and Chloe's plates to the sink after they were done eating, "got any plans for the evening, Chlo?"
"Oh, you know, the usual," Chloe sighed tiredly. "Studying, studying, and studying! Finals are next week, remember?"
"I remember," Beca replied distractedly. "But I was kind of hoping that you could maybe take a little time to do something else this evening…"
"Do what?" Chloe yawned.
"Me!" Beca told her, coming closer, and straddling the woman on her lap. She leaned down to kiss her slowly and passionately, her tongue seeking entrance into Chloe's mouth, which, of course, Chloe happily accommodated her. The spiciness of the meal, and the feeling of love, lust, and arousal tingled most delightedly on their tongues.
"Oh, Becs," the beautiful redhead moaned after their lips finally parted, her arms snaking around the singer's slim waist, her hands tightening on her tender flesh.
"Do you want me, Chlo?" Beca whispered into her ear. "Because I want you, babe. I need you. I've been thinking about this all damn day!"
"God, yes, love, I need you, too, so much! It's been too long, I'm sorry-"
"No apologies, Chlo," Beca interrupted her. "We're busy. It's understandable. But it's important to make time for each other now and then."
"You're so right, Beca-Boo."
"I'm glad you agree. Now, let's go to bed!"
"No, love," Chloe told her, picking her wife up, and laying her carefully down across the kitchen table.
"Chloe, here?" Beca asked in surprise. Though this had long been a fantasy of hers, the truth was, they had never done anything of a sexual nature in the kitchen before. Mostly because of… "What about Amy?"
"She's not here," Chloe whispered seductively, pulling Beca's shirt up over her head, then making quick work of her lacy black bra. "Oh, God! I've missed these!" she admitted, diving down for more intimate contact.
"Uh, actually," Beca stammered, not able to concentrate on a lucid train of thought for very long by this time, "Amy's… she's… oh… yes, Chlo! Right there! Yes!"
Amy walked in with a dirty plate and a half eaten box of pizza to put in the fridge. "So, hope you lesbos got your own dinner sorted, 'cause I just ate most of the- HOLY SHIT!"
"Get out. Get Out! GET OUT!" Beca yelled at her.
"Really?" Amy groaned. "On the table!?"
"Amy, please excuse us," Chloe paused long enough in her amorous administrations to inform their nosy Bella sister, "unless you want a full-on demonstration of lesbian love making."
"Stay off my side of the table," the Australian muttered. "Can I at least grab a soda-"
"Get the fuck out!" Beca shouted desperately.
"Okay! Okay! Jesus!" Amy hurried out, calling after, "You better wipe that table off real good when you're done, pitches!"
"Baby, I need you to lift up," Chloe instructed lovingly, but full of passion. "I need your pants off NOW!"
"Uhh… what if Amy comes back?"
"She won't," the redhead vowed. "If the sight of us making love on the kitchen table doesn't keep her out, the screams will."
Beca gulped. "Screams?"
"Your screams, baby," Chloe told her. "'Cause I'm going to make you scream!"
"Oh… wow…" Beca murmured in anticipation.

One hour later…
"Damn, Chlo," Beca murmured, blowing out a breath, as she lay in Chloe's tender embrace across the kitchen table, "that was so hot!"
"Yeah," the redhead agreed, snuggling against the luscious brunette, "this was the best dinner- and dessert- I've had in a long time. Thank you, darling."
"I know I made the dinner, but seriously, I think I should be thanking you, Chloe," the singer sighed dreamily. "I just… I mean… you were so…"
"You're welcome," Chloe chuckled. "Come on, love. We better get dressed. Can't stay naked in the kitchen forever. You know how Amy loves her midnight snack."
"Right."
"Hey, I have some studying to do. If I work in the bedroom, will you stay in there with me?"
"Of course!"
They were just finishing getting dressed when Amy opened the kitchen door, her eyes covered. "Is it safe?" she asked, feeling her way into the room.
"Define safe," Beca said with a smirk, as she slipped her shoes back on.
"Safe means… you both are 100% fully dressed, there is no sexual activity currently happening, and the kitchen table has been completely sanitized," Amy explained, her eyes still shut.
"Well, two out of three ain't bad," Chloe giggled, winking at her wife.
Amy grimaced. "Wait, which are the two?"
"Guess!" Beca laughed. She and Chloe snuck out of the kitchen, while Amy continued to feel her way around the room, now talking to thin air.
The two ladies ran down the hall into their bedroom, holding hands, and laughing at their friend's expense. They quietly closed the door behind them, keeping silent for a moment, listening to Amy as she continued to yell at them, presumably with her eyes still closed.
"How long do you think it will take before she realizes we're not there?" Chloe wondered.
"You guys totally suck!" they heard Amy yell at them from the kitchen.
"Not long at all," Beca replied, and they both laughed again, for a good few minutes.
After they calmed down a little, Chloe retrieved some of her study books from her bedside dresser, sitting down at the small, antique desk that dwelled within one corner of their large room. Beca plopped down on the king size bed, lying back against the pillows, sighing contentedly Good meal, great sex; life was fantastic! Then she remembered what she had planned to tell Chloe, and she sat up in bed, staring expectantly at her wife.
"Hey, Chlo!"
"Yes, Beca-Boo?" Chloe replied, distractedly, going over spay and neutering procedures that were most certainly going to be on her upcoming finals.
"Gotta tell you something."
"Can I finish studying this chapter first, love?"
"But this is really important, babe."
Without another word about it, Chloe closed her book, putting her pen down on her notebook, as she eyed Beca attentively. This made the little brunette smile.
"Okay, Becs, you've got my undivided attention. What is it you need to tell me?"
"Well, you know how your summer break is coming up?"
Chloe suddenly looked a little panicky, and she averted her eyes, but Beca was too excited to notice. The redhead mumbled, "Um, yeah, about summer break, love, I-"
Beca interrupted her. "My summer tour is also coming up! It's here in the states this year. That means you and I will get to explore the country in depth on my off days! We can go to all of your favorite places to visit. I'm scheduled for Hawaii, you know, and I thought we could take a helicopter ride over the volcanoes!"
"Oh, but Becs-"
"Did you know we start out in California? I'm so excited! We're hitting the beach, first chance we get!"
"Sounds lovely, darling, but I-"
"And you know what? I'll even take you to Disneyland, Chlo! Your favorite place in the world! I'll buy you some Minnie Mouse ears."
Chloe's eyes lit up for the briefest second before turning quickly downtrodden, as she said, "Oh, but Beca-"
"I'll even get some matching Mickey Mouse ears for me to wear," Beca went on.
"Becs-"
"And I'll wear them in public, in front of everybody!"
"I-"
"That's how much I love you, babe."
"Beca, I can't go!" Chloe shouted quickly, trying to get a word in edgewise.
"I'm really looking forward to riding Space Mountain again. That was my favorite when I was a kid, and- wait! What did you just say?" She was sure she had misheard what Chloe said.
"I… can't go on tour with you this time, baby," Chloe whispered sadly.
"But… but… you always go with me," Beca rambled, sure that this was all some sort of big misunderstanding. "You promised me that you would always go with me. That's why I only tour in the summer, so you can come, too, remember?"
"I understand, love, but this summer, one of my professors thinks I should take an extra class to help me get ahead. It might enable me to graduate a little early, too."
Beca could hear what she was saying, could even comprehend, but could not see how it might apply to anything in her life. "But… but… we've never been apart," the little singer stammered, "not since we've known each other."
"That first summer after we met, we weren't together," Chloe reminded her.
"Yeah, that one summer," the brunette recalled, "but it was hell going through it, not knowing how you were doing, if you were okay."
"Becs," Chloe tried to reason, "this class will help me further my career as a vet. It's for my future!"
"Gee, I hear a lot of me, my, and I from you, Chlo. What about us?" Beca demanded to know. "What about our present? What about you being my wife?"
"Beca," Chloe sighed, "I will always be your wife. We are past, present, and future together… forever! Don't you remember?" She looked to be on the verge of tears.
"Yeah, I remember," Beca hissed at her, "but maybe you don't. We took vows, Chlo. Not just on our wedding day, but that first night we were together! You said we would always be together! You're supposed to honor those vows, God dammit!" Beca was crying now, and sputtering and yelling. This, in turn, made Chloe cry, too.
"Beca, I-" she began, but the singer cut her off.
"You know what, Chloe? Why don't we just forget it, okay? Maybe we need a break from each other, anyway! I mean, you seem to want one so bad."
"No, I don't!" Chloe sobbed. "I just need to-"
"You walk around here like a fuckin' zombie, most days," Beca interrupted yet again. "You're always tired, never having any time for me- or for us! You hardly eat or sleep, and it's all for what? This damn job you want so much, even though it's practically killing you?! Even though it's hurting us?"
"I… I'm sorry," Chloe sobbed in shock and anguish, before grabbing up her books and fleeing the room.
It took Beca all of two seconds to realize how badly she'd just treated her wife, and how sorry she was that she'd done so. She chased after her down the hallway, shouting, "Chloe! Honey, wait! I'm sorry! I didn't mean that…"
On the way into the kitchen, Beca ran into Amy, who was on her way out. "Where's Chloe?"
"She left through the kitchen side door," Amy began, and Beca brushed passed her, trying to get to her wife before she could leave. Amy followed her. "What's with all that screaming, anyway?" the blond asked, as they ran through the side door to the garage. "Don't you know, you're supposed to fight first, and then have the amazing sex, not the other way around!"
Beca ignored her and went into the garage just in time to see Chloe driving away in her car. "Chloe! Wait!" Beca called, but it was too late. "Chloe!" she yelled futilely, one last time, her voice going hoarse.
Amy reached her, saw one friend driving away, and the other sobbing against the door frame she clung to. "Okay, what the hell is going on here, Mitchell? An hour ago, you two were defiling the kitchen table. So why is Chloe driving away, and why are you crying like a baby?"
"I fucked up, Ames," Beca cried, looking and sounding heartbroken and pathetic.
The Australian was about to roll her eyes over Beca's dramatic declaration, but even she could see the haunted look in Beca's eyes, and she knew this wasn't just a tiff between lovers. This ran deeper. This fight had opened up wounds. It could leave scars. "Becs," she said gently, "why don't you tell me what happened, okay?"
Beca nodded, as Amy put a sisterly arm around her and led her over to sit at the kitchen table. "What about my wife?" the brunette asked, still upset and worried that Chloe had taken off like that.
Amy gave her a smile. "I'll text her now and find out what's going on." And she did so, telling Chloe that she and Beca were worried about her, and could she please text back and let them know she was safe.
Less than a minute later, Chloe text back that she was okay and she would be home tomorrow after school.
"But where is she staying?" Beca demanded to know, fear, jealousy, and suspicion creeping in on her, as well as concern for her wife's safety.
"Bec's, just leave it alone, for the time being," Amy instructed. "Chloe is somewhere safe. That's what matters right now. She just needs a little time to herself, and that's okay, right? Obviously, something big went down between you two. What the hell happened?"
Sniffling and sobbing, Beca reiterated the painful exchange between she and Chloe, word for word. By the end of her sad tale, she was crying harder than she'd ever cried in her life, hanging onto Amy's shoulder. Afterwards, she looked up at her friend expectantly.
An odd fact about Amy was that she knew little to nothing about how to maintain a loving, healthy, romantic relationship. The closest thing she'd ever really come to one was with Bumper Allen, during college, and that certainly had not lasted, although they had remained friends, and had occasional hookups now and then.
But Amy had been there during the birth of Beca and Chloe's relationship. Hell, she had even given it a name- Bhloe, which, of course, sounded as absurd as it did obscene, but the name had stuck. Amy knew them both better than anyone else did (aside from each other), and had lived with them longer than any other Bella had, observing them- although some might say spied on them- for nearly a decade, up close and personal. Amy was privy to their moods, their habits, both as individuals, and as a couple. She knew of their struggles, of their triumphs. She knew they had unconditional love and devotion for one another. She even knew of the most intimate aspects of their lives, having walked in on them too many times to count, including earlier that evening. So, while a healthy, loving, foreversville relationship did not seem to be in Amy's personal future, she definitely knew how to tend to and occasionally help out with Beca and Chloe's great love.
"I know it's all my fault," Beca mumbled sadly, "I mean, I was such a bitch to the woman I love! I need to be more understanding, I know that now. I need to listen. I need to-"
"Actually, I think I agree with you on this one, Becs," Amy interrupted her, looking thoughtful about the matter.
"What?" Beca exclaimed through her tears. In all of the years she'd known Chloe and Amy, even though Amy was a closer friend to Beca, in every single instance, concerning any kind of tiff, disagreement, or straight up fight between she and her beloved, Amy had never once sided with Beca… until now. "What?" Beca repeated in disbelief.
"Yeah, it's weird, I know," Amy admitted, looking a little uncomfortable in that admittance. "It freaked me out, too!"
"But Ames, you never take my side!" Beca shouted in disbelief. "I mean, I was a complete asshole to Chloe just now, and…"
"Well, you're right about that, too," Amy informed her, and Beca relaxed a little bit. This was more familiar territory. "You were the biggest fucking asshole on the planet, the way you yelled at her, with your nasty tone of voice, and that horrible way you made your point-"
"Okay, Ames, I get it! I'm an asshole!" Beca muttered. "But I'm also… right?"
"I think so," Amy explained. "You and Chloe have always been give and take. Well, it's mostly her giving and you taking, but you know what I mean."
"Thanks a lot!"
"What I mean is, you usually put each other first. But this time, she isn't. I know, becoming a vet is very important to her, just like singing is important to you. But summers are supposed to be for touring and traveling the world together. That was the pact you made, right?"
"That is right," Beca said, narrowing her eyes at her friend. "But how do you know?"
The Australian shook her head. "Please! Like there are any secrets in this house!"
"Of course not," Beca sighed. "But yes, we made that pact that I would only tour during the summer, so it wouldn't interfere with her schooling. And she would always… come with me on tour. But now… she's putting school first. Or am I just being selfish?"
"Probably," Amy told her. "But she did agree to stay with you during tours, so while you may be selfish, she's breaking the pact."
The brunette rolled her eyes. "Thanks a lot, Ames. Why is it, even if you say I'm right, I still come off sounding like the asshole in the situation?"
Amy shrugged. "It's in your nature."
"You're an asshole," Beca shot back.
"Takes one to know one, Mitchell."
"Fuck you! But what am I supposed to do now?"
"Well, what do you want to happen?" her friend pressed.
"I… want Chloe to come with me on the tour," she admitted. "Actually, it's more than just a want. I need her with me on tour. I honestly believe I'd go stark raving mad if she wasn't there with me. Chloe keeps me balanced, she gives me a feeling of well being, and comfort. No one else has ever made me feel that way before in my life. Touring is fun, but it's also exhausting. Long hours, being shuffled from city to city, airport to airport, and so many strangers! It's easy for me to lose myself. But when I have Chloe with me, that never happens. I'm always balanced, because I know she's there. She's my rock! But now… I… don't want to be the kind of spouse that stands in the way of her success. I want her to have her own career, her own accomplishments. I keep coming back to the thought of what if she really needs this summer class to get ahead?"
"This is why you should have anger management therapy, Becs. Maybe if you'd just talked to Chloe like you're talking to me now, instead of screaming and accusing and hurting her with your choice of words, you guys would have come to some compromise, and would be now having sex, round two, in the shower- no more kitchen sex on my table!- but instead, she's off who knows where, and I'm stuck here, listening to you cry about fucking up, yet again!"
"Thanks for your sympathy," Beca muttered sarcastically. She loved Amy, but she could often be the most insensitive asshole on the planet.
"That's what friends are for," Amy replied, obliviously, smiling as she patted Beca's arm.
"God, I wish Chloe were here!" Beca began to cry again, recalling how Chloe's soft touches, her gentle tone of voice, and her sweet smile could easily erase all of the pain and sadness that Amy's words made her feel.
"You'll see her tomorrow."
"Not until the evening!" the small singer pouted.
"So, that's still tomorrow."
"That's not soon enough," Beca sniffled. "I know I won't be able to sleep without her sleeping beside me in bed."
"Oh, brother!"
"Amy…"
"No!"
"Amy, please? Please, may I sleep in your room, just for tonight?" Beca begged her. The Australian was nothing like her Chloe, of course, but she was her friend, and she did care about her… well, usually.
"Jesus!"
"Please, Ames?"
"Fine!" the blond finally relented. "But I'm warning you, if I get dry humped or groped even once during the night while you're sleeping and dreaming about your sex-crazed ginger, you are out on your ear, Mitchell! Got it?"
"Got it!" Beca agreed.
"All right, go get your jammies then," Amy groaned. "But I mean it- this isn't a damn slumber party! I've got my Fat Amy Winehouse work to go to early tomorrow morning."
"What time?" Beca asked in surprise. Amy rarely got up early for anything.
"Eleven o'clock!" Amy informed her haughtily. "Got my alarm set and everything. So no movies, no singing, no long talks about your feelings, and absolutely, NO SNUGGLES!"
"Wouldn't dream of it," Beca hissed at her. The only person that was a bigger asshole in this house than Beca, would have to be Amy.
The two women got ready for bed, then headed for Amy's boudoir for a restless night of insomnia, tossing and turning, bad dreams, crying, and lots of trips to the toilet (okay, that was more Amy than Beca, as she had neglected to take her lactaid tablet before eating the cheese pizza for dinner earlier). It was a miserable night!

The next day was slow and painful for Beca. Amy left around 12:30 pm- she just couldn't get herself up and ready at 11:00 am- and the young superstar on the rise was all alone in that big house, depressed as hell.
There was a reprieve in the quiet around two o'clock that afternoon, when Theo called to tell her that the tour was being moved forward by three days. That meant Beca would have to leave on the last day of Chloe's finals.
Beca refused adamantly. It was bad enough she would be without Chloe all summer, but now it seemed that she would be taken away from her wife even sooner, and all so the touring executives could squeeze in an extra concert or two to gain exposure and make a little more money.
She refused to listen to her producer and demanded to speak to DJ Khaled. Khaled was not going on this tour with her this time. Beca was no longer an opening act, but was now considered the headliner, or main attraction. This was incredibly stress inducing for the young singer, knowing how important it would be to have a successful tour, not only drawing in the crowds, but pleasing them so they would keep coming back for more, as well as buy her albums.
DJ Khaled was a busy man. He was already working on discovering the next Beca Mitchell. And except for adding occasional input on her albums now and then, he had minimal involvement in her career anymore. But luckily, he had been in the office that day, and he made sure to take a few moments from his busy work schedule to speak with Beca. Not only was she becoming a huge star, under his helpful tutelage, of course, but he liked her tremendously, as a friend and a colleague, aside from the respect he had for her as an artist. Plus, he absolutely adored Beca's wife, Chloe. He always had, loved her like a sister. They had bonded during Beca's first summer tour in Europe some time back, and his fondness for the redhead transferred easily over to Beca.
"Beca, what's up, my friend?" he asked, a smile in his voice. "How are you? How's Chloe? Haven't heard from her in a while, and she hardly puts anything on Facebook anymore."
"Um… well, you know how busy she is in vet school," Beca began, trying to keep things light. She did not want to bring up the big fight she and her wife had the night before. "But I wanted to talk with you about the touring schedule."
"Sure, sure," he said, excitement growing in his tone. "I'm so happy for you, Becs! You're the true star now!"
"Yeah, I… guess…" Beca murmured, less than enthusiastically.
Khaled could sense that his friend's mood wasn't the best at this time. He knew that Beca was a good person, and talented artist. She was smart, funny, kind, and eternally grateful to him for giving her the chance of a lifetime. But she could also be snarky, moody, and sullen when things didn't go her way. He had the feeling it was the latter…
"So, hmm, what's going on, Beca?" he asked carefully.
And, like the parting of the Red Sea, Beca's mouth opened up and everything that was going wrong at the moment came flooding out, wet with tears.
Jesus, he thought, why did I ask?
By the end of her narrative, Beca was a blubbery, slobbery mess, sobbing loudly into the phone and barely coherent.
This actually kind of shocked Khaled. He had seen Beca angry, jealous, tired, and cranky many times in the past few years he'd known her, but he'd never known her to break down like this before. Plus, he was sad that she and Chloe weren't getting along. Chloe was Beca's touchstone, she kept Beca grounded and was her greatest support, on or off the touring circuit, much the way his wife was for him. Emotional support was an important part of being on the road for months at a time. A person could go crazy without it. But seeing as he was usually on the receiving end of this support, he felt out of his element by trying to console Beca.
"Um, well, did you try talking to Chloe?" he asked. "Did you tell her how you feel? That you need her? You know the ladies love that sentimental shit."
"Excuse me," Beca sniffled in annoyance. "I'm a lady, too, you know."
"Oh, yeah, sorry. I guess you are… sort of…"
"Thanks a lot!"
"But, uh, did you tell Chloe about all those feelings?''
"Yeah, but unfortunately, I…"
He shook his head in disappointment, even though she could not see him. "You blew your top, didn't you, Mitchell?"
"Maybe… kind of… yeah…"
"Shit, Beca, you have got to learn how to keep your cool, especially when it comes to your lady!"
"I know, I know. But is there a way that… you could talk to her? You know how she loves and respects her good friend, Billy, and would willingly take his advice…"
Khaled could not believe what he was hearing. "Uh, let's see now… NO WAY! There is no way in hell, Beca, that I am going to try to persuade Chloe to do anything! That's not how friendship works!"
"But… but…" Beca pleaded with him, "you're my last hope!"
"No, Mitchell, I'm not. I'm your colleague and technically still your boss. Now, do you think that if we weren't good friends and I wasn't so tight with Chloe, that we would even be having this conversation?"
"No, I suppose not," Beca admitted in defeat.
"Look, I can… eh… I can change your flight out from the early morning on Chloe's finals day, to the early evening, so you can at least get some dinner together and say goodbye, but that's all I can do. Everything else is out of my hands, and in those of the venue company. But when you get off the plane at your first stop, you'll probably have to head straight to the concert. You've got a contract, you know. You can't risk that."
"I know," she whispered sadly. "Thank you."
"And hey, whenever Chloe has time, I would be willing to fly her out to wherever you are in the states, so you could at least see her on the weekends, maybe."
Knowing that it would not be the same as having Chloe come on the tour with her, it had at least given Beca a little glimmer of hope, knowing that she might be able to see her beloved in person once in a while. "Really?"
"Sure."
"Thanks, man."
"No sweat. Now, I gotta go, Becs. It's busy here in the recording studio. I have some musicians that I have to take through a set, and some new back up singers to train. But don't worry. You'll get through this. You and Chloe both. I've never seen two people more in love than you guys. I mean it, Beca, okay?"
"Thank you, Khaled. I hope you're right. I haven't heard from Chloe all day."
"It'll be all right. Later, Becs."
"Bye," the young singer replied, still sounding dejected, as she hung up the phone and just st there for the longest time.
Four hours later, Chloe came home from school to find Beca still sitting in the same position, staring at the wall, in the waning light of the afternoon.
"Becs," Chloe began carefully, "can we talk?" She walked over and sat down next to her wife on the sofa. Even in the shadows cast across the room, she could see that Beca had been crying… a lot! "Beca?"
All it took was the redhead murmuring her name, and Beca was crying again, and falling into the warm comfort of Chloe's arms. "Chlo, I'm so sorry!" Beca whimpered, holding onto the woman as tightly as she could. "I didn't mean anything I said last night- well, except for the part about needing you, because I do, but I should never try to stand in the way of your career, especially since you've been so supportive of mine! I promise that I'll never do that again!"
"Beca… Beca-Boo, calm down, honey," Chloe tried to soothe her, giving her hugs, rubbing her back, brushing back Beca's dark tresses, which looked like they had not even been combed in the last twenty-four hours.
"Chloe, please forgive me," Beca went on, sobbing and hiccupping, sounding as desperate as she felt. She leaned up, daring to kiss the redhead's beautiful, full lips, unsure if Chloe would even kiss her back. To her great relief, Chloe did.
"Beca, shh, love, it's all right," Chloe whispered, pulling her wife into her lap, and rocking her gently back and forth.
"I love you, Chlo," Beca mumbled into the redhead's ear, resting her weary head on the woman's capable shoulder.
"I love you, too, Becs," Chloe vowed, reaching up to caress the tear stained cheeks. "And I'm so sorry I walked out last night. That was… very immature of me. I should have stayed and talked things out with you."
"Where did you go?" the singer asked carefully.
"I stayed with a friend from school," Chloe admitted.
"A man?" Beca gasped, indignantly.
"No, honey."
Realizing that her wife swung both ways, Beca gasped again. "A woman?"
Chloe shrugged. "Those are the only two genders currently in my class."
The small brunette couldn't help but chuckle. Leave it to her beloved to be mindful of transgender, and non binary people. "I'm going to miss you this summer, babe."
"Beca…"
"Khaled said he could fly you out whenever you're able to."
"Well, that's wonderful, but-"
"Of course, I'll have to leave the night you finish finals," the singer said, blowing out a breath of disappointment.
"What? But I thought you were set to leave a few days after that."
"Either Theo, or someone to do with the venue changed the date," she sighed forlornly.
"Aw, geez," Chloe said, sighing identically to Beca.
"Um, Chloe, until I have to go, I mean, I know your studies are important, but can we spend some time together, too?"
"Every available minute!" Chloe promised.
They kissed again, and it soon became apparent, that passionate, makeup sex was a distinct possibility. Chloe pushed Beca back onto the couch.
"I need you, love!"
"Yes, Chlo! I need you, too!"
With great abandon, the two women began necking furiously, touching each other in intimate places, as their clothes began to fly off about the room. Amy came in through the front door and passed by the living room where her roommates were getting busy, making up. Instead of yelling, or getting offended, she merely smiled and whispered, "Well, at least they're not on the kitchen table again."

Beca had fallen asleep rather quickly after her intimate tryst with Chloe. Not only had she not gotten much sleep the night before, but the redhead had been particularly insatiable and simply worn her out. Chloe covered her wife's beautiful, naked form with the blanket draped over the back of the couch, then kissed her tenderly on the brow, careful not to wake her.
Slipping on her clothes, sans bra, socks and, shoes, Chloe glanced back, with much love in her eyes, at her slumbering partner. "Sleep tight, Beca-Boo, I love you," she whispered, then ventured down the hallway to the kitchen, hoping to find a light snack to tide her over until she made dinner.
Amy sat at the- twice sanitized- kitchen table, sipping some coffee and munching on a biscotti. She looked up when Chloe entered the room.
"Hi, Amy," Chloe said, smiling and sitting down beside her friend at the table.
"Hey, Red," the Australian replied, pushing a biscotti in front of her.
"Oh, I don't want to take your snack…"
"Eat it. Both Beca and I have been worried that you're getting a little too skinny. You don't eat enough."
"Oh," Chloe murmured. She'd had no idea. Of course, some of her clothing had been fitting her a little more loosely, but she'd hardly noticed, she was always so preoccupied with school. She picked up the biscotti and took a bite. "I'm sorry if I've been worrying you both," she whispered sadly. "Nobody… no one said anything about it at all to me."
"Well, you have been pretty busy, Chloe," Amy reminded her. "Sometimes I wouldn't see you for days."
"I've been working very hard," Chloe vowed, tears in her eyes. "I want to be a good vet."
Amy put a comforting arm around the sniffling redhead. "Hey, Chloe, I'm not trying to be an asshole or anything. I don't mean to make you feel guilty. I know you're a good person, and a great wife to Beca. Hell, if I swung that way, I'd have vied for you, too!"
Chloe blushed. "Thanks, Amy."
"But can I ask you something?"
"Of course!"
"How do you feel when Beca is working really hard?"
"I feel proud of her."
"Oh, um, wasn't expecting that answer. But… don't you miss her when she's working a lot?"
"Certainly. And I always make sure to spoil her when she gets home."
"Eh, lets just say this then. Don't you feel lonely when Beca isn't here?"
"Very much so," Chloe freely admitted, looking wistful. "I can't live without my Beca-Boo. She's my life! My whole world, wrapped up in this beautiful, little package! Oh, don't tell her I called her little. You know how she hates that."
"I won't," Amy snickered. "But Jesus, Chloe, you keep messing up the point I'm trying to make by being little Miss Perfect!"
The redhead gave her a confused look. "I'm sorry. But what is the point you're trying to make?"
The Australian sighed. "Look, you and I both know that Beca is a miserable little shit, especially when you're not around, or you aren't giving her enough attention." Before Chloe could protest her description, Amy waved her concerns away with a hand, and continued. "And we both further know that she's not really big on emotions, except for being pissed off, pouty, jealous, or annoyed."
"Amy," Chloe said warningly.
"But with you, Chloe, she's all snuggles and emotion and smiles, especially since the two of you have become officially a couple. It's like, as long as she knows she has you, she let's her emotional guard down, and acts just like a twitterpated idiot!"
"Amy!"
"What I'm getting at here is that you make Beca a better person."
"I do not!" Chloe insisted, sounding offended. "Beca is a wonderful human being regardless of me. Why do you think I fell in love with her in the first place?"
"We've always wondered," Amy admitted, and received a dirty look. "Anyway, okay, maybe you're right. Beca is great in her own right, but the truth is, you make her want to be a better person."
"Oh," Chloe said, settling down. "I get that. I try to be my best for her, so that makes sense." She sighed, rubbing at her temples. Then she sat up and offered Amy a smile. "Thank you, Amy, for our talk. Thank you for being my sister, and giving me the straight facts about this situation."
"You're welcome, but don't you mean the queer facts, since you and Beca are… you know…"
"Yes, of course," the redhead agreed distractedly. She stood up from the table, intending to take a few minutes alone in her office. She glanced back at the Australian. "Hey, I need to make a few phone calls. Would you keep an eye on Beca-Boo while I'm in my office, please? She's still a little fragile right now, and I don't want her to think I've run off again. After I'm done in there, I'll come back and make us all a nice, big dinner, all right?"
"Sounds good! Is she still on the couch?"
"Yes, and she's asleep."
"Wait a minute… she isn't tits out exposed to the elements, is she?"
"She's wrapped up in a blanket, Amy."
"Um, is there anything underneath that blanket?" the blond asked with trepidation.
"Of course."
"Whew…"
"Her supple, exquisite, naked form is underneath that blanket," Chloe explained, with a wicked glint in her eye. "Thanks, Amy!" And she left the kitchen.
"Dammit!" Amy groaned.

The last day of finals, Chloe finished up with flying colors! Beca was there to pick her up from school. They embraced warmly, and Chloe told her she thought she did all right on all of her exams.
"I'm sure you did, Chlo. You're very smart, and very dedicated."
"Thanks, love!"
"You're welcome. Now, we're going to grab a quick bite to eat, and then I'll have to go directly to the airport. You can drive the Audi home."
"Okay," Chloe sighed, and they drove off, grabbing some fast food to eat on the way. It wasn't how either would have liked things to go down. Truthfully, they would have rather gone down on… each other. But time was of the essence.
The two wives held hands, listening to the radio and singing along on their way to the airport. Chloe would occasionally lean across the seat to kiss Beca's cheek, smiling lovingly at her.
Beca would smile back, but she was crying on the inside. She was going to be without Chloe- her own personal ray of sunshine- for three months, with possibly the occasional weekend reprieve. It felt unbearable, and the closer they got to the airport, the sicker Beca felt in her stomach. By the time they parked the car in the parking lot, and got her carry on luggage from the trunk, Beca was openly crying.
Chloe took the suitcase without being asked, and wrapped her free arm around Beca's trembling shoulders. Beca, in turn, slid her arm around Chloe's waist.
"Come on, Beca-Boo," Chloe urged gently, "lets get all checked in."
"I don't want to," Beca whimpered.
"Yes, you do, darling," Chloe gently reminded her. "You love performing and entertaining for your fans. It's what you were born to do."
"I was born to love and be with you," Beca told her.
Chloe grinned. "Well, that, too," she agreed. "It goes without saying."
As they got closer to check-in, Beca noticed a familiar form approaching them. "Amy?" she asked in confusion. They had already said their goodbyes back at the house.
Truly, it was the Australian, bounding closer, carrying a suitcase which looked like Chloe's travel bag, and wearing a smile. "Well, hey, Becs! You all ready to go tour your little heart out?"
"Not really," Beca replied, dully. "What are you doing here, Ames?"
"Ah, I'm just here to see you off… and to give this… to Chloe." She handed the redhead her carry on case. "Safe travels, you two."
"Thanks, Amy," Chloe said, giving the Australian a warm hug, which was reciprocated with great gusto.
"Huh?" Beca asked in confusion. "Wait… what is going on here, guys?" she demanded to know.
"No time for questions, Becs," Chloe reminded her. "We've got to get moving."
"Later, Becs! Later, Chloe! I'll fly in for a couple of your concerts. But you better get me VIP backstage passes."
"Okay…"
"And set me up with one of the roadies. Some of them are pretty cute."
"Oh, Amy," Chloe laughed.
"What's happening?" Beca asked again.
"Be good, pitches," Amy interrupted. She gave the small brunette one of her famous bone crushing hugs, before wandering off to look around in one of the gift shops.
"Come on, love," Chloe urged her. "Time to check in. We can't be late."
After checking in, they headed towards security.
"Chlo…"
"Yes, darling?"
"Can you please tell me what's going on now? Why did we both check in?"
"We're going on tour, honey, remember?"
Beca chuckled a little. "Yes, yes I do remember, quite well, actually, babe. But this whole thing about you supposedly checking in with me, that's something new."
Chloe grinned at her. "Well…"
"Chloe, I've been trying to prepare myself for the last month, getting used to the idea of having to be all alone during the tour."
"Do you want to be alone, Becs?"
"Hell, no!"
"Well, good! Because, I'm coming with you!"
Suddenly the dread in her heart disappeared without a trace, and Beca was elated, happy, and all was right with the world. Until… "Oh, but Chlo! What about your class? I don't want to interfere with your schooling, and-"
"Beca, I did a lot of soul searching during the past few weeks about that class. The class isn't that important. But you are. You are the most important part of my life, Beca-Boo! I'm sorry if I momentarily forgot that. But I've come to my senses. I am here, where I'm supposed to be, where I want to be- with you, the woman I love."
"But Chlo, are you sure? I don't want to come in between you and your dreams."
"You won't," Chloe told her sweetly. "I talked to my professor, intending to just wait until next semester, and he told me that I can easily take the class online, so I can study and do homework while you're setting up and rehearsing your show during the day, and then I'll be free to watch your performances in the evenings!"
"Oh, Chlo!" Beca nearly shouted, so beyond happy to learn of all of this. She wasn't interfering with her wife's dreams. And she was going to get to be with her wife all summer long! This tour, which had before hand felt like it was going to be grueling and long, now seemed like a fun, happy trip.
The two women kissed right before they got to the security checkpoint. Once they went through, and also got through boarding, presenting their tickets to the flight attendant, they found their first class seats, and settled in. Beca took Chloe by the hand, giving it a loving squeeze.
"Hey, honey?" she asked.
"Yes, love? Did you need your barf bag?"
"No, I'm okay right now, although now I wish that we hadn't eaten at Taco Bell…"
"I think I might have some of Amy's Gas-X in my purse, Becs, if you need any."
"Um, maybe in a bit, but I really wanted to ask you something."
"What's that?"
"How did you manage to get a first class ticket seat, right next to mine, in such short notice?"
"Well, I might have had a little help…"
"Who?" Beca asked, racking her brain. "Amy?"
"No, love. While Amy is rich, she's not exactly influential in the music biz."
Beca's eyes lit up in realization. "DJ Khaled?"
"That's right," Chloe confirmed with a smile. "Billy was happy to help us."
"Of course, he would," Beca declared in delight. "Khaled really does love you."
"Maybe he did it because he really loves you, too, darling," the redhead replied with a wink.
Beca both laughed and cried, full of joy, then she leaned over and kissed her wife again.

After the drama of surviving the take off (Beca still hated flying, especially take off, turbulence, and landing), Beca finally settled in, leaning contentedly against her wife, who continued to stroke her back, her hair, her face, all the while, singing softly to her, to soothe her. She had a great idea, something that she and Chloe had not indulged in for too long.
"Hey, Chlo," she whispered into her ear, "I've got an idea…"
"I don't know, love," Chloe whispered back, "the flight attendants are watching us pretty closely. Either they recognize you, or they've never seen a same sex couple before. I don't think we could both sneak away to the bathroom at the same time."
Beca chuckled. "Oh, I wasn't talking about the mile high club, although I like the way you're thinking. But maybe we can have a movie night, right here on the plane. We still have several hours before we touch down in L.A. Want to watch something with me?"
"Movie night on a plane? That sounds wonderful!" Chloe exclaimed in excitement. "I wonder if they have any Disney…"
"What about the latest Star Wars movie. I heard it's better…"
"Better than what?"
"Better than most of the other new ones," the brunette cracked, and Chloe swatted her arm.
"Be nice, Beca-Boo! I loved all of them! Even the one with that… weird part…"
"You're going to have to be a little more specific, babe."
"Regardless, that should be fun. And you know when we get to Disneyland, I'm looking for stuffed Ewoks, Princess Leia ears, and, oh! We can make our own droids and lightsabers now!"
"Calm down, Chlo, pace yourself," Beca snickered. "You're going into Disney overload!"
"I don't care!"
"So, this is cool, though, right? Even if it's not like our usual movie nights in our own theater, or in our room, under the covers… and totally naked."
"Well, we do have a blanket, love…"
"Uh, no, Chlo. I don't think that's a good idea. Remember? We're being watched."
"Then you owe me a ton of loving tonight after your first concert!"
"Deal, babe. I promise!"
The two women kissed, then settled in under the airline blanket to watch the latest Star Wars movie.
But then, out of the blue… "Hey, Beca?"
"Mmm, yeah?" she yawned.
"I really think I want us to have a baby soon."
Beca sat up in her chair and stared in shock at her wife. "What?"
Chloe merely smiled, and turned back to the movie…
Chapter Nine: How the Hell Can We Even HAVE a Movie Night?
Beca wanted to make one thing clear: she was not good mother material. Growing up, Beca had never played with baby dolls. She had never looked after the neighborhood children for money. She had never fantasized about marrying some handsome guy and having children with him. But truthfully, she'd never dreamed of being married at all, and now, here she was, sitting on the sofa, next to her wife of three years, as well as their three week old daughter, Elizabeth Amy Mitchell, who she held awkwardly in her lap.
Chloe, that loving wife of hers, who she loved more than anything, was currently trying to stay awake, she was so exhausted. Chloe was in the third week of an eight week maternity leave from her new, part-time position at the vet's office a couple of blocks over. She was also on hiatus from veterinary school. She was able to keep up with most of her classes online, but a few things she would have to make up in person after healing from childbirth.
The baby, little Elizabeth Amy, who was the spitting image of Beca- drool and all- much to her disappointment, started to cry, loudly and without taking a moment to even catch her breath, it seemed. Beca groaned inwardly. She had begged and pleaded for Chloe to use her own egg in the fertilization process, with the carefully chosen, anonymous sperm donor. Beca had kind of liked the idea of a miniature Chloe in the house, with those same bright blue eyes, and bouncing red curls, sitting on her lap while she watched the morning news, or creeping into the music room to listen to Beca come up with another masterpiece to present to DJ Khaled. Instead, she had this squalling newborn, who looked just like a wrinkled, miniature version of her, but without any teeth or hair, and with more than her share of attitude.
Looking down at the crying baby, who seemed to have adopted Beca's surly demeanor from her junior high years, the singer sighed, feeling completely exhausted and overwhelmed by her very presence in their lives. What the hell am I doing here, in this insane situation? Beca wondered fretfully. How could all of this happened so fast? It seemed like just yesterday, Beca was singing with the Bellas in college, dating some hapless guy named Jesse, while simultaneously falling in love with the beautiful redhead in her a Capella group. Next thing she knew, her wife is all lovey dovey on a plane, telling her she wants a baby. And now, here she was, sitting beside her beautiful, but exhausted wife, and holding a baby that not only intimidated Beca, but scared the shit out of her anytime she had to deal with her in any capacity.
Jesus, Chlo, she thought tiredly, I can't believe I let you talk me into this! I think we've bit off more than we can chew here. Is there a way to return this thing? I still have the hospital receipt…
What she said out loud was, "Chloe, the baby is crying again."
"She's wet," Chloe murmured, in a sleepy voice.
"Well, couldn't she just be hungry?" Beca suggested hopefully. She'd already tried her hand at changing a few diapers, and each time it had been a huge fail! But feeding the baby fell strictly on Chloe.
Beca had- reluctantly- produced the egg for this baby, but Chloe had lovingly carried her in her womb for nine, long months. Chloe had been the one to continue to eat healthy meals, ignoring weird cravings, like ice cream and pickles at three in the morning. Chloe took pre-natal vitamins, to ensure healthy growth. Chloe had managed to gain a sensible amount of weight. Chloe had sung tenderly to her growing belly for three trimesters. Chloe had endured morning sickness, as well as afternoon, and evening sickness without complaint. It was Chloe's libido which had nearly grown out of control during her second trimester, and then nonexistent in her third. It was Chloe who had been the right choice to carry their little bundle of… whatever she was.
"No, love," Chloe insisted. "That's her 'I'm wet' cry. Trust me. I know."
"How do you know?" Beca challenged her.
Chloe was too tired to realize her wife was trying to pick a fight. With her eyes closed, she answered. "I just…. know…."
"And so, I take it, you'd like me to change her, then?" Beca muttered in irritation.
Her large, blue eyes flashing open, Chloe, who was still quite sore in her lower region, did her best to sit up in a hurry. She knew her wife, knew her many moods, and her many tones of voice. This particular tone gave her cause to worry. She realized she had sort of… pushed Beca into parenthood. No, she didn't push, she would never do such a thing! Strongly encouraged, perhaps? Yes, a much better choice of words… So, she had strongly encouraged her wife to partake in this parenting gig, as Beca had referred to it. She realized now just how overwhelmed Beca was with the new addition to their family. It was true, little Elizabeth was very demanding, and loud, and… and… and the most beautiful baby in the entire world to her, looking just like her beloved wife, Beca! It was like being surrounded by her favorite person, two-fold!
Elizabeth Amy- named after Beca's mom, Elizabeth, and her 'auntie' Amy- could be cranky when over tired, just like Beca! Elizabeth absolutely LOVED meal time, just like Beca! She was good at latching onto to one of Chloe's breasts, even with her eyes closed, just like… you said it, Beca! She was also beautiful, like Beca, and had a firm hold of Chloe's heart, also like Beca.
"I'll change the baby," Chloe said, trying to sound like her usual, cheerful self, but only coming across as tired and worn out. She stood slowly, wincing in discomfort at the pain, then carefully reached down to retrieve her squirming, red-faced daughter from her sullen wife. "Why don't you get the movie ready, while I get Miss Elizabeth cleaned up, love?"
"Fine, but I don't even get the point of any of this," Beca grumbled, folding her arms sulkily across her chest. "You're just going to fall asleep five minutes into the movie, like you always do now."
Chloe looked away, as she wiped at a falling tear. She knew how Beca was feeling. She felt just as tired and unprepared as her wife, when it came to adjusting to parenthood. "I'm sorry, love," she whispered, walking over to the changing table they had set up in the living room, and gently setting her crying daughter down upon it. Deftly, she changed the wet diaper and deposited it into the Diaper Genie beside the changing table. "Will you hold her while I go wash my hands and fix us a snack?" Chloe asked hopefully.
When Beca said nothing, just rolled her eyes, Chloe didn't wait around to see her wife begrudgingly hold out her hands. Instead, she carried Elizabeth into the kitchen with her. There was a bassinet set up in nearly every room in the house now, including next to Chloe's chair at the kitchen table, in case the baby ever needed a meal while she was having hers. She set little Elizabeth down in the bassinet, then hurried over to the sink to wash and dry her hands. She knew she had to hurry, because any minute now…
Elizabeth began to wail, just as Chloe knew she would, twisting about in the bassinet like an angry wrestler.
"Oh, sweet Elizabeth, my love," Chloe whispered, trying to soothe her from across the room, while she dried her hands, "I just need one more second…"
Chloe knew this cry, as well. It was the baby's hungry cry. Or, rather, her hangry cry, which seemed remarkably similar to Beca's cranky mood swings when she went too long without eating. The tired mom had wanted to make some popcorn and cocoa for she and Beca to enjoy during the movie, but Elizabeth's demanding cries for nourishment and maternal attention got louder, and took precedence.
"Okay, okay, my little angel," Chloe murmured sweetly, offering her beautiful daughter a loving smile as she lifted her shirt and unhooked her maternity bra, sitting down in her chair.
Amy came in through the kitchen side door and got a good look at Chloe's milk engorged breasts. "Whoa! Chloe! Va-va-va-voom!"
Chloe was currently too tired to care if Amy saw her boobs, or any other body parts. She picked up the baby, guiding her to her breast. "Hey, Amy. I'm just feeding Elizabeth," she sighed. The little tyke latched on without any trouble at all and started sucking away with great vigor.
"Jesus, that kid eats just like Beca- especially like when she goes to a Chinese buffet!" Amy laughed.
"Definitely," the redhead agreed, yawning widely, while running her fingers gently over the baby's downy covered head. "She's definitely like her mama." And like that, she began to cry.
"Chloe, hey, what's wrong?" Amy asked, coming closer and awkwardly patting her shoulder. "Is the baby sucking too hard on your nip? I mean, thought you'd be used to that with Beca, but maybe it feels different with the baby?"
"Amy, really?"
The Australian chuckled. "Okay, if not that, then what's wrong?"
"I- I know I'm just being dramatic," Chloe scolded herself. "Or maybe my hormones are still too out of whack, but I am just feeling so emotional right now."
"That's understandable, Red," Amy told her. "I mean, you just pushed a baby through your vajayjay. I'd say that's enough to make anyone emotional!"
"I guess… I mean, I wanted to make a snack for Beca and I for movie night, but Elizabeth needed to be changed and fed…"
"Why didn't Beca make the snack?" Amy asked. It seemed as though the Big BM had become less and less helpful, ever since the baby was born.
"Well, the thing is… I mean, she's kind of… Beca's not really… um, I think Beca might not like the baby or I very much…" The ginger bowed her head, feeling ashamed to have even said such a thing, but she could no longer ignore Beca's actions and words, or her own feelings, any longer.
"Chloe," Amy gasped in shock, "why would you think that?"
"Well, it's just, she's always… so… angry all the time, especially at me. And she never smiles anymore. She's so surly to everyone!" Amy gave her a look. "I mean, more so than usual. And she doesn't seem to be bonding with Elizabeth, doesn't even seem to want to. And… she never kisses me, anymore…" The sad, new mother began to cry harder, even as she held her infant daughter tenderly in her arms. Warm tears dripped down and fell upon the baby's head.
Hearing all of this private information both surprised Amy, and broke her heart. She herself had noticed how surly and withdrawn Beca was becoming, but she'd had no idea it was this bad. And for Beca to not want to hug and kiss on Chloe seemed almost… unnatural! The blond stood up and kissed the top of Chloe's head. "Hey, Red, I- I'm sorry you feel this way. I'm sure that Beca is just tired and overwhelmed. And maybe she's a little jealous…"
"Jealous? Why? We're both Elizabeth's parents, we've both been getting a lot of attention and congratulations from our family and friends. I just don't understand…"
"Chloe," Amy said gently, "I meant that she might be jealous of Elizabeth."
"Huh? Our baby?"
"Come on, Red," the Australian reminded her. "We both know that Beca can be a bit of an infant herself."
"What? No, she isn't!" Chloe insisted, still defending her beloved wife, in spite of everything.
"Think about it, Chloe," Amy explained. "You've been spoiling and taking care of Beca since we were all in college! Now, before you get pissed at me, just hear me out. I know, and you know that Beca is capable of looking after herself just fine. But she does love it when you spoil her and give her attention. But now, you guys have Elizabeth, and she takes up most of your time."
"I've always loved and adored Beca," Chloe admitted wistfully. "I love taking care of her. I know she can do it herself, but I also know she came from a broken home, and her parents' divorce really affected her. I realize she hasn't had it so easy since her childhood. Whenever I'd look at her, even back then, when we were all in school together, I'd see this young woman who was hurting, who wanted and needed to be loved, needed to know that she was worthy of love. I guess spoiling and doting on her was my way of letting her know she'd always be loved and cherished by me."
Amy smiled affectionately, nearly in tears herself. Chloe was probably the kindest human being she'd ever met. "You know something, Beale- eh, I mean Mitchell number two- you are the sweetest little wifey anyone could ever ask for, and Beca is just so damn lucky to have you."
Chloe, who now had little Elizabeth up against her shoulder, gently patting her back and hoping for a burp, leaned over to kiss Amy's cheek. "Thank you, Amy. You're the best sister- and auntie- and we're so lucky to have you, too!"
"Well, that goes without saying," the Australian stammered, actually a little embarrassed by all of the praise. Elizabeth let loose with a loud belch. Amy laughed. "Hey, she takes after her auntie!"
"That she does," Chloe giggled.
"You know what, Chloe," Amy told her, feeling generous after all of the praise she'd just received, "if you want to make a snack for you and Becs, I can take the baby for a while."
"Really?" Chloe asked, albeit a bit hesitantly. She loved and trusted her Bella sister, and she knew that Amy loved and adored her little niece, but she didn't exactly have a lot of experience with infants.
"It's cool, Chloe, I promise. I'll just take little Elizabeth Amy and hang out in the living room with Beca. I'm sure we can handle the little munchkin between the two of us. She and I will have a nice… chat, while you fix your snack."
"Okay, but she's not much of a conversationalist."
"Well, duh," the blond laughed. "We've all known that for years."
"Amy, she's only three weeks old."
"Um, who are you talking about, Red?" Amy asked in confusion.
"The baby. Who are you talking about?"
"The other baby," the Australian answered with a smirk. "Go on, fix your snack. Give me the little tyke. She'll be good with her cool auntie Amy!"
"Okay, and thanks, Amy," Chloe said, carefully handing the baby to Amy. "Mind her head now."
"I know, I know. I've carried drunken Bellas home enough to know how to mind a wobbly head," Amy replied, gently taking the baby into her protective arms and leaving for the living room, while Chloe put in some microwave popcorn.

Amy brought her little namesake into the living room, where Beca sat on the sofa, the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, waiting in the DVD player. She held the remote in her hand, and wore an impatient, grumpy expression on her tired face. She heard Amy approaching, heard the baby gurgle. She assumed it was Chloe coming in.
"'Bout time you showed up," she muttered, at who she thought was Chloe. "Did the little shit have to take one?" she joked, nastily. When Amy sat down next to her, carrying Elizabeth, looking angry and disappointed at her, Beca was taken aback, unsure of what to say. "Oh, um, sorry. Thought you were Chlo…"
"Really?" the Australian asked, in a clipped tone, obviously trying to keep her own anger in check. ""That's how you speak about your kid to your wife?"
"I… no.. I mean, I was kidding. I'm just… tired…" Beca stammered, unprepared for the inquisition.
"Yeah, well, so is Chloe. And she's about twenty times more tired than you are- especially since she gave birth to your baby, and she's still trying to recover from that, while still doing most of the work around here, not to mention, putting up with your grumpy, ungrateful ass! She just cries in the kitchen, breast feeding your mini-you, because she doesn't know if you still love her, or even the child you share!"
Ready to respond, already on the defensive, Amy's last sentence really surprised the singer. "What?" she exclaimed in shock. "Chloe actually said that?"
"You're a fucking asshole, Mitchell," Amy muttered at her. "Chloe loves you so much, she would never try to paint you in a negative light, but even she has her limits! She may not have called you a fucking asshole, but it wasn't hard to read between the lines. Your wife just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl that you want nothing to do with, and she cries because you never even kiss her anymore. Do you know how many times I've walked in on you two kissing over the years? Hundreds upon thousands, if I had to make a guess! But you know how many times I've seen you kiss her since she came home from the hospital with Elizabeth? None!"
"Well, that can't be right," Beca told her, trying to think back the last few weeks. "I mean, we… um, I…"
"None!" Amy repeated. "Zilch! Nada! Zero!"
"I really haven't kissed her since…?" Beca murmured, feeling heartbroken and shocked.
"Nor have I seen you show any affection to little Elizabeth," Amy added, as she continued to pound the point in painfully. She was being pretty vicious about it all, but it was tough love to a friend that had clearly lost her way.
"I… I guess I just didn't realize," the small brunette mumbled, tears flooding her stormy, dark blue eyes. "Jesus…"
Amy handed the baby to Beca. "I know she's from your egg, and all, and will look like you, but Chloe carried that baby for nine months, happy to do so because it meant she was carrying your child. That was very important to her. It was her way of sharing in making this little angel. It meant truly having a part of you inside of her, and Chloe was over the moon from that."
"How do you know?" Beca sniffled, looking into the face of her daughter, who looked quizzically back at her.
"It's all just stuff I heard Chloe say during the course of the pregnancy, Beca. The point is, why didn't you hear her?"
"I don't know," Beca admitted tearfully. "I guess I just didn't…"
"Well, you should be a better listener from now on," Amy scolded her. "Especially to someone who loves you so much!"
"I still can't believe she still loves me," the singer whispered tearfully, "or even why…"
"Well, no one really can say why one person loves another," Amy ruminated, sounding like a wise, old sage. "No one chooses who they fall in love with. It just happens. But for whatever the reason, Chloe loves you. She always has. And she always will. You can't rationalize it, or change her mind, but you can love her back, like I know you do, and stop torturing her, yourself, and everyone else around you with your temper and your nasty moods! I know I'm certainly sick of it all!"
"Oh, you are?" Beca retorted, sounding defensive. But she stopped herself, realizing it was understandable. "Yeah, I guess you are…"
Chloe came in, carefully carrying a tray with a large popcorn bowl and two steaming mugs of hot cocoa. The heavy tray seemed a bit much for her, and it teetered awkwardly for a moment.
Beca knew it was time to grow up and show her wife the love and concern she needed and deserved. "Honey, you got that?" She turned to her friend, seated beside her on the couch. "Hey, Ames, could you help her, please?"
"Sure," the Australian readily agreed, jumping up to relieve the heavy tray from Chloe's weary hands. She set it down on the coffee table in front of the couch.
"Thank you, Amy," Chloe said gratefully. "Beca, you picked a movie, then?"
"Uh… yeah, but I changed my mind," Beca said, thinking quickly. She stood and gave the baby to her wife, before hurrying over to the DVD player to take out the movie she had initially chosen, then replaced it with another. After the task was complete, she sat back down on the sofa, next to her exhausted wife, grabbing the DVD remote and starting up the movie. She noticed Elizabeth, resting her head on Chloe's shoulder, as if she knew she belonged there, snuggling contentedly. Beca smirked. She also noticed that Elizabeth was watching her with her big baby blue eyes, looking at the DVD remote, as intently as someone of three weeks of age was capable of doing.
Maybe she's not that terrifying or hard to relate to, the brunette reasoned, giving the baby a tender smile. She reached out for the infant, surprising both Chloe and Amy. "May I have her back, please?" she asked sweetly.
"Of course," Chloe said, recovering quickly. "She's your daughter, after all."
"She's our daughter," Beca corrected her, holding the baby and looking into her little, slobbery face intently. "I guess she is kind of cute…"
"She's the most beautiful baby in the whole wide world!" Chloe proclaimed, reaching over to touch the baby's soft cheek with the tip of her index finger, then repeating the gesture with Beca. "She looks just like you."
"Well, I want the next one to look like you, Chlo," Beca blurted, and both Chloe and Amy stared at her. One couldn't blame their surprise, seeing as how, until just a moment ago, Beca didn't seem like she even wanted one child, let alone two! Beca noted their surprise, and understood. She shrugged sheepishly. "You think I wouldn't want another kid, especially one that looks just like you, babe? Jesus, I may be a glutton for punishment, wanting to add another rug rat into the mix, but I actually would really like having another little redhead to come home to. We need two of you to counter balance the rest of us sarcastic little shits." And she glanced over at Amy, and then down at Elizabeth, who was blowing bubbles with her lips, as if to reiterate the point.
Chloe had tears in her eyes. This was the sweetest Beca had been to her since before the baby had been born. "Oh, but how do you know that Elizabeth will be sarcastic?"
Beca gave her a look. "Really, Chlo? You would doubt her destiny?"
"Yeah," Amy agreed with a laugh. "It's in her genes, you know!" The Australian gave her small friend an affectionate pat on the back, and whispered, "That's my girl…" for working so hard to make Chloe feel happy, and loved, and safe again.
"Well, it would be nice to have two," Chloe had to agree, because, truthfully, she'd wanted at least two children, maybe more, although, she didn't want to push her luck with Beca. She was happy that her wife had actually stated she would want another baby someday. "It would be great for Elizabeth to have a little brother or sister to play with…"
"Sister," Beca decided. "I like the idea of a house full of women. And I just get the feeling the next one will be a girl, too. I mean, not that it really matters… except that I might have inadvertently promised our first born son to Esther for trading seats with me… back when she was still Lilly, I mean."
"Yep, that sounds like Lilly, for sure," Amy cracked. "Kind of like our very own Rumpelstiltskin, eh?"
"But do you think she would hold you to that?" Chloe asked, somewhat alarmed. "I mean, what if we do end up having a boy?"
"You could just put a dress on him every time she visits," Amy suggested.
Both Beca and Chloe stared at her for a moment, before shrugging and saying together, "Eh, that works."
"See, you can always count on good old Auntie Amy to come up with the solid plans!" the Australian announced, proud of herself.
Chloe giggled happily. Her laugh was infectious. Soon, Beca and Amy followed suit. Beca could feel her heart swell, watching her wife looking so happy, and smiling. She was radiant and beautiful, and… Beca made herself stop thinking down that road. Chloe still had several weeks to go before she would be cleared for any sexual activity. No use torturing herself.
"Say, you pitches want me to take little Elizabeth Amy into my room for a nap so you two can watch your movie, and cuddle?" Amy asked generously.
Chloe looked like she might actually have considered it, but Beca quickly said, "Nah. Thanks for the offer, Ames, but me and my girls here got to keep up the movie night tradition, you know?"
Amy smiled proudly at her friend. "That's right. I mean, we've got a future Bella here, right? Better start early!"
"That's the plan," Beca agreed.
Chloe started tearing up, just hearing her wife's abrupt turn about concerning Elizabeth, and herself. To distract her, Amy asked, "So, what you Bellas going to watch?"
"What did you pick, love?" Chloe asked. "Since we're not watching One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest now."
"You'll see," the brunette replied, with an air of mystery.
The last preview on the DVD ended and the menu for Disney's The Little Mermaid came up on the screen.
"Oh, my God! Becs!" Chloe gasped, surprised and delighted. "The Little Mermaid! Remember when you and I watched this at my parents' house that first summer you spent with us?"
"I'd never forget that, Chlo," Beca told her sincerely. "I remember all of the wonderful times I've spent with you over the years. And I'm looking forward to all of the new wonderful memories we're going to make with Elizabeth, and any other kiddo that might come along."
The beautiful redhead burst into happy tears, snuggling close to her wife, and giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Jesus, Red, you're so emotional," Amy cracked good-naturedly.
"Give her a break," Beca retorted playfully. "She just gave birth to the… fruit of my loins!"
"Gross!" the Australian scoffed, standing up. "And on that note, I'm out of here. I'm going clubbing. Just… eh, you can text me if you need anything. Later, Mitchells!"
"Thanks, Amy," they both called to her, as she left through the front door.
Beca started up the movie, amused at Elizabeth's continual watchful eye on the DVD remote.
""You okay to hold her for a while, love?" Chloe asked carefully, still unsure of this new, parental Beca that had so quickly and miraculously appeared.
"I'm good, babe," Beca assured her, understanding her wife's hesitance. She gave Elizabeth a baby-safe squeeze, then kissed her round, chubby cheek. "Shorty here and I are just… bonding."
"You are?"
"Yeah. And you know what, Chlo? I've discovered that we both already have at least two things in common."
"That's terrific, honey! What are they?"
"Well, you should have seen Elizabeth's face when I used the DVD remote. She was totally fascinated. I think she likes technology related stuff."
"Just like you!" Chloe marveled.
"And there's the other thing."
"Which is…"
"She really loves you, Chlo. She seems so happy and calm whenever she's with you. She belongs with you… just like me," Beca explained, blushing. Chloe took one of her hands.
"Thank you, Beca-Boo."
"For what? Telling you the truth?" Beca said, as Chloe nuzzled the side of Beca's neck, making her moan involuntarily. "Mmm… Uh, hey, Chlo?"
"Yes, love?"
"I know we can't, um… you know, for a few more weeks, but after the kid falls asleep, you think it would be all right if we made out a little? Maybe… feel each other up… do some necking… but only if you want to."
Beca turned to look at Chloe in uncertainty, saw the lust in her bright, blue eyes just before she covered the brunette's lips with her own, enveloping her in a passionate, open-mouthed kiss. "I think I feel up to it," the redhead replied with a wink.
"Damn, Chlo…" Beca groaned against her wife's plump lips. "Keep this up and I'm probably going to explode!"
"Oh, you will, love," Chloe whispered seductively into her ear, before blowing into it. "In just three… weeks… time…" Then she playfully bit down on Beca's earlobe, an act she knew that drove her wife wild with desire.
"I'm in trouble!" Beca squeaked, and little Elizabeth looked up at her, and Beca could have sworn the baby both winked and smiled at her. The actions made Beca laugh.
"What is it?" Chloe asked, smiling at her wife's mirth.
"I swear, Elizabeth knew what I meant. She just winked and smiled at me. Damn, a dirty mind at the age of three weeks. Definitely, my kid!"
"Honey, she's only three weeks old," Chloe giggled. "The wink was probably just an involuntary eye movement. And the smile most likely is the result of gas."
"Oh, well, then she's definitely your kid, Chlo," Beca snickered. "You're the real fart giggler of the family."
"Ha ha!" Chloe retorted, laughing.
The three of them settled in to watch the movie. It wasn't long before the baby fell asleep. Beca kissed Elizabeth's forehead, then carefully set her down in her bassinet, before rushing back over to the couch. She stretched out on it, lying back against the arm. "Chloe?"
"Yes, love?" the ginger yawned.
"Come here."
"Huh? I am here…"
"Don't you remember how I like to sleep with you? Haven't been able to do that through the third trimester with that baby belly."
"Mmm, yeah…"
"But now the baby is out of the belly, and you're free to climb on top of me again…"
"What? Right now? In front of Elizabeth?"
"Honey, we're not going to have hot and heavy sex, or anything," Beca explained. "Besides, she's in her bassinet, sleeping like a… well, baby."
"Are you sure it's all right?" Chloe asked again.
Beca gave her wife a tug on the arm. "Get your sexy ass over here, Chloe!"
The tired redhead climbed carefully, almost reluctantly on top of her wife. Beca could tell her fretting went beyond just worrying about Elizabeth somehow seeing them. "Is this okay?" Chloe asked, unable to look Beca in the eye. "I mean, I haven't lost any of the baby weight yet, and my body probably looks like it's been through the ringer…"
"Chloe, look at me," and Chloe complied. "You look beautiful. You feel wonderful, and just like always, we fit so perfectly together."
"Pitch perfect," Chloe agreed shyly, leaning down to kiss her wife's lips tenderly.
Beca wrapped her arms around the redhead, leaning up to return the kiss. "That's right, Chlo, pitch perfect, every time…"
Chapter Ten: Movie Night Five Years Later…
"Elizabeth Amy Mitchell!" Beca shouted, as she marched upstairs. "Get back here- NOW!"
The singer, who now had a successful career, with three platinum albums, four Grammy's, and dozens of money-making summer tours under her belt, still had a hard time when having to deal with her mischievous, little mini-me.
Chloe followed her up the stairs, holding their younger daughter, Aubrey Clara Mitchell, on her hip. "Becs, what's going on, love?"
The beautiful redhead had finally finished vet school and was now working as one in the office she had interned in since before Elizabeth was born. It was the perfect situation for her, as she only worked part-time, and had a pretty flexible schedule, making her usually free to take care of the children after school, as well as accompanying Beca, along with the girls, on her summer tours.
Little Aubrey Clara- named for Chloe's dear friend, Aubrey Posen, as well as her mother, Clara- was, as Beca had longed for, and predicted, Chloe's mini-me. She had the red curls, the bright blue eyes, and a sunny disposition that could charm anyone, and at three and a half years old, was an absolute delight to be around. True to her word, Beca had not only agreed to adding another child into the family, but she had, much to Chloe's surprise, carried the child in her belly herself! They had used Chloe's egg this time, of course, and the same anonymous sperm donor they'd used with Elizabeth's creation, so the girls were truly blood-related sisters. And though Beca had once thought of herself as… not the most maternal woman in the world, she had longed for the experience of carrying Chloe's baby, and had never once regretted her decision.
"Your daughter is being a butt," Beca answered her wife, scowling down the hallway, in Elizabeth's general direction. "The little fiend stole the DVD remote- again!"
"My daughter, huh?" Chloe snickered. "I believe they are both ours, love. Besides, Elizabeth just loves anything to do with technology. Where do you think she gets that from?"
"She can love it without stealing it, can't she?" Beca grumbled, folding her arms.
"It's not so much stealing, as it is the desire to be like her mama," Chloe told her pointedly, effectively chastising her wife.
"Why can't she want to be more like you, Chlo?" Beca whined tiredly.
"She's like both of us," Chloe promised.
"Riiiight," Beca sighed.
"I am, too," little Aubrey piped up, smiling sweetly at her mothers. "I am like Mommy, and you, too, Mama," she said, pointing at Beca.
Beca just melted. "Aw, yes, you are, little bean! C'mere, shorty! Let's let Mommy go hunt down Elizabeth- I mean, the remote- while we get some snuggle time!"
"Yes, Mama," Aubrey agreed, holding her arms out to Beca.
Chloe sighed good-naturedly. She handed Aubrey over to Beca. "Looks like Elizabeth isn't the only one being a 'butt' around here," she whispered into her wife's ear. "I thought we were supposed to take turns dealing with the kids?"
"We do," Beca informed her. "I deal with them when they're being little angels, and you get their more… mercurial side." She gave her wife a devilish, and irresistible grin.
"What?" Chloe protested.
"Hey, you wanted one to be like me," Beca chuckled. "You got it."
"I should have talked more to your mother about what you like as a child," Chloe laughed.
"But you didn't, so too late now."
"Fine. I'll go get your mini-me, while you look after mine," Chloe agreed, truthfully not minding in the slightest. Elizabeth was just like Beca, whom she adored, without all of the baggage that Beca had acquired after her parents' divorce, and dealing with the resentment towards her father over the years. Elizabeth was… spirited… mischievous… and Chloe absolutely adored her.
"Have fun," Beca said, giving her wife an unexpected swat on the behind that had the redhead squealing in surprise. She watched the woman walk away with a great deal of appreciation, both for her emotional countenance, as well as her gorgeous, physical form. She then glanced down at her youngest, who she sometimes referred to as CJ (short for Chloe, Jr.), and gave her a kiss on the cheek, as she started down the stairs. "All right, bean, shall we go see about what movie to watch tonight?"
"Yes, Mama!"
"So, what do you think, Aubs? Pulp Fiction? Brokeback Mountain? Silence of the Lambs? Which one should we watch tonight?" the brunette kidded her.
Aubrey's eyes grew wide. "But Mama, those are rated R!"
"Oh, are they?" Beca replied, playing along.
"Yes," the tiny redhead insisted.
"So… what should we do, Aubs?"
"I think we should watch Silence of the Lambs," Aubrey replied in all seriousness. "I like lambs."
Beca laughed appreciatively. "Eh, probably not the ones mentioned in that movie. I think we should just maybe stick with a Disney movie tonight."
Aubrey smiled knowingly, looking much like Chloe. "I knowed you were going to pick Disney."
"You knowed, huh? How did you know, munchkin?"
"Because those are Mommy's favorites, and Elizabeth says you always want to suck up to Mommy."
"Oh, she did, did she?" Beca asked, narrowing her eyes. "Well, I think Elizabeth is a little stinker for thinking that. And, I further think that you are a little stinker for repeating it!"
"See, we're both just like you, Mama, a stinker!" the little ginger giggled.
"What?"
The child shrugged. "That's what Mommy always says…"
"Oh, that's it! That is it!" Beca growled playfully, now back downstairs. She dropped her daughter onto the couch, then proceeded to tickle her, eliciting gales of laughter.

Chloe ventured into the girls' room, looking for her beautiful and impish daughter, Elizabeth. She could hear giggling, as well as see one little foot pull itself under one of the beds as she came in. "Hmm," she murmured, "I wonder where that sweet, little daughter of mine is…"
"She's downstairs with Mama," Elizabeth couldn't help but blurt out from underneath the bed. "Whoops!"
"Gotcha!" Chloe declared in triumph, dropping to the floor, and reaching under the bed. She gently pulled Elizabeth out by her legs. True enough, the little dark-haired spitfire had the remote control in her hand.
"Mommy!" she squealed, jumping into the redhead's arms.
Chloe gave her daughter a tight squeeze, and started peppering her beautiful little face with kisses. "Love you, kitten!"
"Mommy! Mommy!" Elizabeth giggled. "Stop! Now, it's my turn to kiss you!"
"Oh, certainly," Chloe agreed, presenting her daughter with her cheek.
"I want to kiss you like Mama does," Elizabeth informed her matter-of-factly.
"Um, sure…" Chloe replied, curious.
The child leaned forward and kissed her mother quickly on the lips. "Like that," she said.
"Very nice, Elizabeth," Chloe told her, smiling. Chloe took the child's hand, started for the door, but her daughter pulled back, not yet ready to leave the room, or relinquish her private time with her mommy just yet.
"Um, Mommy, can I ask you a question?"
Chloe stopped dead in her tracks, then knelt down to look her child in the eye, offering the girl her full attention. "Always, kitten. What's your question?"
"Well, at school today, Mrs. Miller was asking all of the kids about their families that they live with. I told everyone about us. But then…" and she paused, looking a little distressed. "Um, at recess later, this boy named Ryan Cross said that a kid can't have two mommies." Elizabeth couldn't bring herself to look her mother in the eye. She had felt hurt by this statement earlier that day. She didn't like the idea of ever hurting her mommy, and she had a feeling this might.
The beautiful redhead just looked at the girl with nothing but understanding and concern in her eyes. This hadn't been the first time she and Beca had come up against prejudice, or hatred over their relationship, and family. She knew it wouldn't be the last. But this was the first time one of her daughters had brought it up or been faced with adversity over their family. It broke Chloe's heart that such a thing should ever have to happen, but she and Beca had discussed the issue at length, and she knew what she was going to say.
Picking up Elizabeth, and sitting them down on one of the twin beds in the room, Chloe gave her daughter another hug, and said, "Well, clearly, this Ryan Cross is wrong, isn't he, darling? You and your sister have two moms that love and adore you both so much."
"I know," the small brunette said, blushing, just like her mother did, whenever she received great words of affection. "I told him that, and also that we live together in a big mansion, with our auntie, Fat Amy, too!"
Chloe giggled, but forced herself to stop. "Elizabeth, how many times have I told you and Aubrey not to call your Aunt Amy 'Fat' Amy?"
"I dunno," Elizabeth shrugged. "But that's what Aunt Amy says to call her."
"I understand, but your Mama and I want you to only call her Aunt Amy from now on. It's more respectful, all right?"
"Okay," the child sighed. "But Mommy… nobody else has two moms at school. At least, not in my class. How come I'm the only one?"
"Hmm," Chloe murmured in a calm, soothing voice, giving her daughter's query great thought, which made the girl feel important, and validated. "Well, baby girl, let me ask you this: how many kids do you know that have divorced parents?"
"What's that mean, again?" the little girl asked. "I heard it before, but I forgot."
"That's all right, sweetheart. It simply means that some parents decide that, even though they may still care about each other, and that they still love their kids very much, the feel they can no longer live together and decide not to be married to each other anymore."
"Oh, yeah… and I know some kids who's parents aren't together anymore."
"And you know, some kids have moms or dads that have married a new person," Chloe went on. "So, yes, some of them might actually have two moms or two dads. They're called step or bonus parents."
"Eric Fierstein has a step-mom and a step-dad!" Elizabeth noted excitedly.
"And some kids might only have one parent- a mom or a dad, just as some kids have two moms or two dads. Parents don't have to be a specific gender, kitten. They just have to love and take care of their children. Some kids don't live with either parent at all. They might live with grandparents, or an aunt and uncle. Some kids live with a foster family. That's a family that isn't related at all to the child, but they invite the kid to live with them in their home, and they take care of that kid."
"They do?" Beca's mini-me asked in surprise, as she'd never heard of fostering before.
"That's right," Chloe explained patiently. "So you see, my darling, every family might be a little different in some way. That doesn't make it wrong, or bad. And when it comes down to it, we're all human, and we're more alike than most people realize."
"But Aunt Amy says that Aunt Esther is an alien," Elizabeth blurted in confusion.
Chloe couldn't suppress a giggle. "Well, that's a story for another day. But now, it's time for a fun, family movie night. May I have the remote back please, Miss Elizabeth?"
"Okay… but can I push the buttons to make the DVD player go? I know how to use it!" the child insisted.
"I'm sure you do, smart girl," Chloe beamed at her, making Elizabeth blush and smile proudly. "But you know your Mama likes to be in charge of all that stuff." Elizabeth sighed, and offered Chloe the remote, a sad look on her face. "Still… I bet if you ask Mama nicely, she might let you be her assistant, and help her with the DVD player!"
Elizabeth's dark blue eyes lit up. "Really?" she asked excitedly.
"Let's go find out," Chloe announced, taking her daughter's hand and leading to the door. "Oh, but honey, are you okay about before? Did our talk help you at all?"
The little girl hugged her mother tightly about the waist. "Yes, Mommy, you explained everything just right. You always do."
This admission brought tears to Chloe's eyes, and the two of them ventured downstairs to the living room, where the other half of their family awaited them.

Chloe and her eldest daughter walked into the living room, to find Beca snuggling with Aubrey, who looked like she might last all of five minutes before falling asleep. She sat on Beca's lap, her head resting comfortably on her mama's shoulder, her red hair splayed out over Beca's dark shirt. Her large, blue eyes were heavy lidded and half open.
"Oh, someone looks a little sleepy," Chloe cooed at her youngest, smiling at her beautiful child, and equally gorgeous wife.
"Where you been, babe?" Beca asked. "We waited so long, I think it might just be the three of us for movie night now."
"We were… having an important talk," Chloe told her, giving her a pointed look.
Beca was confused. "You mean the talk?"
"Uh… I think so," Chloe replied, now equally confused.
"Isn't she a little young to be curious about, um… s-e-x," Beca spelled it out.
"No, not that talk," Chloe insisted, her cheeks going pink.
"Then the one about d-r-u-g-s?" Beca spelled again.
Chloe blew out a breath. "No, love. It was the talk about having two moms!"
"Oh… that talk…"
"What's s-e-x?" Aubrey mumbled sleepily.
"That's just sex," Elizabeth told her. "But I'm curious about drugs now."
"Fantastic!" Beca muttered. "Am I just the worst influence on the small fry, or what?"
"Probably," Aubrey whispered, closing her eyes.
"I'd say that's a definite yes," Elizabeth added.
"Why you little shi-" Beca grumbled at her oldest daughter.
"Language, darling," Chloe reminded her.
"But Elizabeth just basically said I am a bad influence!" the singer protested.
Chloe sighed, momentarily closing her eyes. Her wife and her daughter were constantly butting heads. Most likely it was because they were both so much alike, both smart and sarcastic, and both wanting to out do each other whenever possible. "She is her mama's daughter, love," she reminded her.
The two brunettes regarded each other for a moment, smirked at each other. Yep! They were definitely two of a kind.
Not wanting to be left out, even if she was mostly asleep, Aubrey asked, her eyes still closed, "Am I Mommy's daughter?"
"You certainly are," Chloe told her proudly.
"It's a good thing, too," Beca added, patting the seat beside her for Elizabeth to sit, "because I don't think this family could handle any more of the Mitchell DNA."
Elizabeth scoffed. She knew that her Mama loved both she and her sister equally, as did Mommy, but Mama definitely got along better with Aubrey, most likely because her sweet demeanor brought out the sweetness in her, just like Chloe's did. And Elizabeth didn't really mind, anyway, because she had Mommy wrapped around her little finger. Chloe took to Elizabeth, because she was so much like her beloved wife.
Chloe sat down on Elizabeth's other side. "Want to cuddle with me, kitten?" she asked, patting her lap.
The five year old rolled her dark blue eyes, just as Beca used to do when Chloe offered her affection during their college years. But also just like Beca, Elizabeth truly loved and craved said affection from the lovable Chloe. So, she made a show of sighing, but then eagerly jumped into her mommy's lap.
Beca smiled knowingly. Nobody could resist the charms of the beautiful Chloe.
Chloe kissed the top of Elizabeth's head. "Ready for movie night to start, baby girl?"
"Yes!"
"Speaking of which," Beca stated, staring pointedly at her older daughter, "anyone got any idea where the DVD remote is?"
Chloe made a little sound, then urged Elizabeth to hand the remote to Beca. She was also reminding the child to speak up.
"Um, Mama," Elizabeth began hesitantly, "can I… could I please help you with the DVD player and remote… please?"
Beca smiled. She was reminded of a moment, five years before, when her firstborn daughter of all of three weeks, sat on her lap, and stared, with great interest, at the remote to the DVD player. And now, her interest in all things technology had only grown.
"You know," Beca stated with a sly smile, "it's funny you should mention that, because I've been thinking that I could use an… assistant around the house, especially when dealing with the DVD player and the remote."
"You do?" the child gasped in astonishment, while Chloe smiled indulgently at them both.
"Yes, a techno-assistant, if you will."
"Could it be me?" Elizabeth asked hopefully.
Beca winked over her daughter's head at Chloe, then replied, "Well, do you think you're up for the job, shorty?"
"Who you calling short?" the small fry shot back, before smiling apologetically, and said, "I mean, yes, I'm up for it, Mama, um, ma'am…"
Chloe continued to watch the exchange, with open adoration. Oh, how she loved her stubborn, sarcastic, dark-haired beauties!
"Well…" Beca said, as if in deep contemplation, "seeing as you seem adept as remote control usage, you have the advantage of truly knowing your boss, and considering you're the only applicant, Elizabeth Mitchell, you have the job! Congratulations!" She shook her daughter's hand, which looked much like her own.
"Yes! I got the job!" Elizabeth exclaimed in excitement, glancing back once proudly at her Mommy, who gave her an encouraging smile. "So, what do I have to do, Mama?"
"Let's see now…" Beca surmised. "You have the important task of making sure the remote stays in it's proper place on the coffee table at all times, except when in use. Can you handle that?"
"Is that all?" the shrewd child asked in disappointment.
"Of course, that's NOT all!" Beca groaned at her. "This is an important position. It requires much skill and the utilization of such skill."
"What's uterine-nation?" Elizabeth queried, cocking her head in confusion.
Chloe giggled affectionately, while Beca replied, trying to keep from smiling. "Uh, never mind. The point is, you will also be required of being in charge of pushing the proper buttons to work the DVD player, when in use. Is that acceptable, my young apprentice?"
"You sound like the Emperor," Elizabeth giggled.
"Okay, trainee, then. Are you able to handle this job?"
"Yes!" the little girl shouted happily, causing her little sister to momentarily stir in her mama's arms.
"When are you available to start working?" Beca went on, keeping up a formal demeanor, while also rubbing Aubrey's back, and soothing her back to sleep.
"Can I start now, Mama?" Elizabeth squealed.
"Perhaps I should confer with my associate, Dr. Mitchell," Beca played along, glancing over at her beautiful wife. "What do you think, doctor? Do you believe that this young recruit here can handle taking over remote duties this early in her training?"
Chloe's big blue eyes grew serious and sincere. "Oh, yes, Mrs. Mitchell, I truly believe that young Elizabeth has what it takes to be a good… uh… remote button… pusher…?"
"Yes, that's right," Beca picked up on Chloe's slack. She returned her attention to her boisterous five year old. "So, I have conferred with Dr. Mitchell, who agrees, that you are ready to begin as the remote button pusher, also known as the RBP."
"My, that sounds important," Chloe marveled, giving her daughter a wink.
"Sounds like a plan," Beca agreed. "Miss Mitchell, my mini-me, please push play on the DVD remote."
Eagerly, and enjoying all of the attention and fanfare from her mothers, even if it was all for fun, Elizabeth pushed the play button, and magically, Disney's Robin Hood appeared on screen.
"Good job, kiddo," Beca complimented, and her daughter beamed radiantly. Her Mama was not someone who threw empty compliments around.
"Thanks, Mama," Elizabeth said, almost shyly, and she snuggled against Chloe to watch the movie.
"Ooh, isn't this your favorite Disney movie, darling?" Chloe asked, giving her daughter a squeeze and pointing to the television. Elizabeth reached up to touch her mother's soft cheek, and nodded. "Did you know that it's also your mama's favorite, too?"
"For real?" the little girl asked in surprise.
"It's true," Beca admitted. "It's an awesome flick. It has sword fights, archery, singing, and that Maid Marian is pretty foxy. She reminds me of your mommy." She winked at Chloe.
Chloe squealed in delight, while their daughter laughed between them. "What's so funny, kitten?" the redhead asked.
"Mommy is not a fox!" she declared, pretty sure of her mother's humanity, unlike her Aunt Esther's…
"Oh, yes she is," Beca responded, leaning over her daughter's head to kiss her wife.
"Love you," Chloe sighed romantically.
"Love you, too," Beca told her, meaning every word, more and more each and every day.
Elizabeth, stuck in between them, and mashed up against her sleeping sister on Mama's lap, pushed Beca back. "Yucky love talk!" she groaned, making a face. "And Mama, if Mommy is Maid Marian, then you would have to be Robin Hood!"
"Another fox," Chloe whispered, gazing upon Beca with pure love and lust in her eyes.
Their dark-haired daughter rolled hers. "Gross! Are you guys gonna do it?"
Both of her parents looked at her in shock. Perhaps the talk about s-e-x wasn't so far away. Chloe, of course, recovered first. As casually as possible, she asked, "Elizabeth, where did you hear that term from, honey?"
The child shrugged. "Mama and Aunt Amy, of course."
"Of course," Chloe agreed, just as Beca muttered, "Oh, shit!" under her breath, trying to recall any such conversation.
"What exactly did they say, kitten?" Chloe pressed the youngster.
"Hmm," Elizabeth said, pondering, and secretly enjoying all of the attention thrust upon her all of a sudden. "Well, one time Aunt Amy said to Mama, 'hey, are you and Chloe gonna do it?' and Mama told her, 'you know it!'."
Chloe stared pointedly at her wife, who was blushing furiously. Come to think of it, she did remember this conversation, from a few weeks back. She hadn't realized Elizabeth had been listening in, as she had been playing on the floor with her blocks. Of course, the kid would listen in then. Not when she asked her to eat her vegetables or clean up her toys, but THEN!
"Beca-Boo," the redhead asked the boo in question. "Care to elaborate?"
"Uh, not really…"
"Beca!"
"Okay, um, I just have this… vague recollection," Beca mumbled. "I mean, you know how Amy can be."
"What, are you gonna do to Mommy, then?" Elizabeth queried, wearing her most innocent expression, which Beca knew, hid the devilish smile underneath.
Beca and Chloe glanced over at each other for a moment. Clearly, neither were as ready for the s-e-x talk as they had thought. "Nothing!" they both shouted at once.
"Oh, I thought it meant sex, or something," Elizabeth replied in confusion. Then she changed the subject. "Mommy, did you make popcorn?"
Beca face palmed, as Chloe sputtered for a moment. Somehow, she knew Amy probably did have something to do with this.
"Uh, no, kitten, I didn't."
"Well, could you make popcorn… please?" the child tried again.
"Yes, you little scamp," Chloe chuckled. She slipped out of the room, leaving her beloved wife with their two, precious daughters.
One precious daughter remained blissfully asleep. The other one though…
Beca watched the movie, laughing at the antics of Little John, but something kept creeping up on her from the back of her mind. That's when ancient instincts kicked in, and out of her peripheral vision, she realized that Elizabeth was staring at her, intently.
"What?" Beca finally growled at her in annoyance.
"Where do babies come from?" Elizabeth asked frankly.
The singer rubbed at her temple with one hand. "Uh, it depends, really. You and your sister came from this turkey baster looking thing, and a petri dish."
"Huh?"
"Just ask Mommy later."
"Good idea. She's usually better at answering questions."
"That's for damn sure," Beca easily agreed.
"It is?" kid asked, smirking. "For damn sure?"
"Shit! Elizabeth, don't say 'damn'! Okay?"
"Shit, sure!"
"Oh, fu-" Beca almost messed up again, but thankfully, Chloe had returned with a big bowl of popcorn for the three of them to share. They all ate just a few bites, as none of them were particularly hungry.
Elizabeth felt very grown up, hobnobbing with her two moms, while little Aubrey slept through the movie, and all of the little talks. But even she didn't last through the entire movie, and before the archery contest, the dark-haired little beauty was out like a light.
Soon after, Beca and Chloe were carrying their little, sleeping angels, up the stairs and back to their room, tucking them gently into their beds, before kissing little cheeks or noses and pulling the door to behind them.
"So," Chloe yawned, as they trekked back down the stairs, "shall we finish the movie? I mean, it is your favori- mmph!"
Chloe couldn't finish her sentence because Beca's tongue was pushing its way into her unsuspecting mouth. When they finally came up for air, Chloe moaned, "Mmm, oh, Beca-Boo…"
"You, me, bed, now!" Beca told her, using simple words and grabbing her wife's hand, pulling her down the hallway to their room, to make her point.
"Oh, my," the redhead squealed as the two anxious women went into their bedroom.
Beca shut the door. "Get naked," she commanded, knowing that at any given moment, either one of the kids could awaken, or Amy could come bounding home, sometimes drunk, but often loud and obnoxious. "Hurry, babe, while we have the chance!"
"Yes, ma'am," Chloe eagerly agreed. "You, too, love!"
"Fine," Beca sighed, yanking her shirt over her head. "But what's the point? Your body is so much sexier."
"Don't even," Chloe warned her, pulling down her pants. "You are the sexiest woman alive! Even People magazine agreed!" She gestured to the magazine cover that hung up on their wall, at Chloe's insistence, after Beca Mitchell, singer extraordinaire, had been voted as the sexiest woman.
Beca rolled her eyes over the magazine's declaration. The only opinion that mattered to her over that subject was the mouth-watering naked woman she quickly pushed down onto the bed. "We can argue about it during afterglow, okay? Right now, I just need… oh, God, Chlo!" she moaned, as Chloe began to give her exactly what she needed.
"I love you, darling," Chloe murmured into her wife's ear, before biting down on it.
"I love you, beautiful," Beca replied, wrapping her arms tightly around Chloe's waist and pulling her as close as humanly possible on top of her. "Take me now, Chlo."
"Of course, my love," Chloe sighed dreamily, and she pleasured Beca as only she could…

One hour later…
Beca was lying in post coital bliss, across the king size bed, her gorgeous wife was lying half on top of her, just as Beca preferred it. Both of them were breathless, and sweaty, and so very content and in love.
"Everyday," Chloe murmured, most certainly on her way to sleepy town, "I think to myself, 'I love my Beca-Boo so much! I couldn't possibly love you more!' But then, the next day comes along, and I think, 'Wow, I was wrong. I do love you even more! But I can't possibly love you more than this!' But whoops! The next day, I do love you more, again! And then, the next day…"
"I get the idea," Beca chuckled, running her hand up and down Chloe's back and bottom. "You know, you're really adorable when you're half asleep and sexually satisfied, Chlo."
"That's true," the redhead giggled. "Sex plus Beca equals the best time! Wait? Betterest? No, that's not right; the bestest? It's the bestest, right? Beca-Boo, you're my sexy baby…" When Beca looked up into her face, her eyes were already closed.
The brunette gave her sleepy wife a tight hug. "You are too cute, Chlo. And best of all, you're all mine!"
"You mine, too," she mumbled, almost into dreamland.
"That's right."
"Loves you, Beca-Boo…"
"Love you, too, Chlo."
"Will you marry me?"
"We already are married, honey," Beca laughed, yawning. She could hear her wife's breathing slow down, become more rhythmic. It calmed Beca, made her want to join Chloe in slumber. Her addled brain remembered one last, cognizant thought. "Oh, Chloe, by the way, there's a good chance that Elizabeth is going to ask you about the birds and the bees sometime tomorrow, okay?" She finally let her droopy eyelids fall, and she began to drool against Chloe's shoulder almost immediately. All was quiet and blissful.
Several seconds later…
Chloe's eyes flew open and she asked, "Elizabeth is going to ask me about what?"
The End
