AUTHOR'S NOTE: The following story is a fan-made Power Rangers adaptation of the Super Sentai series "Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger". On top of that, it is being written in a way where the story would take place in the main PR continuity, meaning it's in the same timeline with everything but RPM or Dino Charge, and possibly SPD, given the constantly changing timeline.
I am in no way affiliated with Hasbro, Toei, Saban, or any associated companies tied to either of the Tokusatsu series nor is this in any way meant to be a canon storyline/canon spin-off to stuff like the Boom Studios comics. I'm just a guy who loves Zyuohger and wanted to tell his own fanfic idea for how it could be adapted into a season of PR.

Here are a few more things to note before we begin this premiere.
It and all of the episodes following it would be from around 21 minutes to 30 minutes at most with NO COMMERCIALS. Horizontal dividers will be used to indicate scene changes. If this were a real show, I would have credits play during the end of each episode's ending scene like certain other Nickelodeon shows tend to do.
I will not be giving really deep descriptions of the monsters, but I will be writing out their sentai equivalent's name in parentheses so you can go look them up for yourselves on the Rangerwiki. Speaking of said monsters and just characters in general, there may or may not end up being a few more mature references to voice inspirations even though this story is being written as a K+ plotline, so just a heads up, if you look up certain names, know that there might be a few in there that children may or may not be able to handle. And, if you want to watch full episodes of Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger, which I legit suggest, you can find full episodes of it for free on the website (just find the show you want, and click on the "Youtube Alt" link).
And for those of you who saw this story last year that wanted to see it continued/rewritten, thank you for coming back. I promise to try and do my best to produce better and more focused content this time around. Anywho, now with all of that out the way…
EPISODE 1: THIS PLACE IS A ZOO PT 1
(Adapted from "The Exciting Animal Land")
We officially open this series with a shot of Planet Earth and then zoom in on the island of New Zealand. This zoom fades into a 4 second shot of a forest at night as a storm occurs with rain pouring down hard.
We then get a 2 second shot of a boy in a red jacket holding his knee in pain.
Lightning flash cut.
Then we get another 2-second shot where…lightning flashes and we see, standing on a tall rock…is a BIRDMAN (Adapted from the character "Bud").
Another lightning flash cut.
Next is a 2 second shot of the Birdman kneeling in front of the child as the rain continues to pour.
Yet another lightning flash cut.
Finally, we get a 4 second shot of the child's hand reaching out as the Birdman's hand gives him something. A weird shiny cube. (Adapted from the "Mark of the King").
We then get one last flash of lightning to end this collection of flashback shots, as we cut to a shot of that cube mentioned earlier being held in the hand of that boy who is now much older. This is indicated by some "Ten Years Later" text at the bottom of the screen. We cut away from a close-up of the cube in the boy's hand to finally get a better look at him, now much taller with a bit of a gut, as he stands against a wall, now in a red shirt with a name tag, and silver pants. This is Benny Washi. He grips the cube tighter and breathes in/out.
Benny: Ok. This is it…You can do this Benny. You are gonna walk up to her and say proudly that YOU'RE gonna be an…an eagle keeper.
(He sounds like Jesse Cosay from Infinity Train Book 2)
He again hesitates to start moving, but then starts speed walking forward. As he walks forward, we're able to see that the wall he's against is part of a much bigger whole, made more apparent as we then cut to him entering through a north Zoo gate (one with the Zyuohger logo on it, Grid Battleforce style) only for us to then super pull back to get a wide shot of said zoo. Text fades in at the bottom of the screen that says…
"Washi Safari Zoo and Aquarium—Dolphin Coast, New Zealand"
Yep, instead of this season being set YET AGAIN in California, we're setting it near Auckland, New Zealand (which is ironic, because when drawing the zoo map for this store, I based it off of the Brookfield Zoo's map despite that one being in Chicago).
We then get a super quick collection of shots acting as someone of a preview for the other locations in this zoo. While these shots are quick, we still see enough to not only see the animals and designs of these zoo sectors but also see that this zoo has a little bit more money behind it; likely because of the fact that only 5 of the animals here are actually real. Yep. Most of the animals at this zoo are highly advanced holograms. It allows the zoo, as a result, to save money on all sorts of benefits. Clean energy, slightly pristine architecture, that sort of stuff you would expect in the not-too-distant future.
This montage lasts about 16 seconds and lets us see the zoo's 4 main sectors.
The Aquarium sector, home to a group of Whitetip Reef Sharks.
The Savanna Sector, home to a small pride of African Lions/Lionesses.
The Rainforest Sector, home to a herd of Asian/Indian Elephants.
And finally, the Tundra sector, home to only one incredibly rare Siberian/Amur Tiger.
Finally, we get a 7 second shot inside the Sky Space. A massive aviary dome with pine trees, a river, and a fake mountainside home to Bald Eagles.
We then pan over for 7 seconds to a massive dome at the zoo center home to Bald Eagles. But instead of cutting away from this area, we're gonna stay here. As we go from a shot in the dome to one outside the dome, we see a Japanese woman in a Lavender shirt similar to Benny's along with the same silverish grey pants, as she sets up a booth with a mixture of pieces from real/recreations of Bird skeletons. This is the zoo's curator, Martha Washi.
Martha: Alright, that looks good. Maybe just a little bit more to the right there, and…perfect.
(She sounds like the actress Awkwafina)
Benny: (sees her, and nervously smiles while walking up) H-Hey mom!
Martha: (looks over and smiles) Hi honey! (runs up and hugs him) Nice to see you out and about. Oh, your uniform looks great. Gah, I'm so excited you chose a job, this is gonna be amazing…Wait, hold on…Benny, you do know you're half an hour early to your first shift, right?
Benny: R-right, heh. About that, uh…(inhales and exhales) Mom? I uh…I wanted to ask you something personal.
Martha: (her eyes widen a little excited realizing what he means) Oh, y-yes! Of course! Just uh…(ahem) just uh… go ahead and ask. I'm ALL ears.
Benny: …Huff. Ok. I was thinking maybe I could…
Martha: Yeah?
Benny: I could possibly start…
Martha: Uh-huh?
Benny: MAYBE if it's not too much trouble…
Martha: Go on!
Benny: …s-start today with a WALK…Y-yeah, uh, h-have a walk through the nearby woods just to…breathe a bit before I start as the booth…manager…g-guy.
Martha: …OH…Uh, y-yeah of course. Sure. That sounds…nice actually.
Benny: Ok…uh…great! ... (his face goes from awkward to guilty-looking)
Martha: (picks up on this) ...You okay honey?
Benny: Yeah. I just…I know that's not the answer you probably wanted to hear…Sorry to disappoint you.
Martha: (sighs and hugs him) No, no, I get it…You'll get there someday. I know it.
Benny: (breaths out)…Yeah…I'll uh…I'll be back in time for my shift. Promise.
Martha: Ok hon. I have some stuff to handle, but I'll come to check on you at lunch. (kisses his cheek) See you then.
They muster smiles and walk off in their separate directions, Benny heading towards the zoo's South gate.
Our next scene starts…with a smash cut all the way up into space as an alien ship arrives.
One that looks like a massive bow with a loaded arrow in it(Adapted from the "Sagittari Ark"). We then smash cut to the…I guess either command deck or throne room of this ship to meet our villains for this series. Side note, the reason I didn't draw the throne room on the location sheets over on Deviantart is that I think it's just a cool villain base that doesn't need to be changed. So in other words, look it and the antagonists up for yourselves. Speaking of whom, they are…
Sagittar: The large silver/gold mutant leader (Adapted from the villain "Ginis").
Midaria: The green-haired female assistant (Adapted from the villain "Naria").
Blockhead: The blocky blue brute (Adapted from the villain "Azald").
Insidion: The squid-like cyborg (Adapted from the villain "Quvar").
And Jagged: The spiky wild card (Adapted from the villain also named "Jagged").
In our first shot of this monstrous cockpit of a throne room, Sagittar sits on his throne having a drink, Midaria looks out a monitor on the wall opposite to him currently showing Earth, and the other 3 primary monsters are playing…space checkers? ... Space chess?... I don't know, whatever it was in the Sentai footage (even though this scene would be made up of original footage but whatever).
Sagittar: Anything to report, Midaria?
(He sounds like Grand Admiral Thrawn from 'Star Wars: Rebels')
Midaria: Yes, Sagittar. We're finally in visual range of Planet Earth after all this time!
(She sounds like Priyanka Maheswaran from 'Steven Universe')
Sagittar: Excellent, my dear…Earth at long last.
Jagged: Finally! (loudly smacks away game board) I've been waiting for this!
(He sounds like everyone's favorite alien, Invader Zim)
Insidion: Yes, Earth at last. Now watch yourself, Jagged!
(He sounds like Grand Moff Tarkin in 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars/Rebels/The Bad Batch')
Blockhead: Let him have this one, Insidion. He's just excited to finally start hunting on that wet mossy rock. Something I can relate to.
(He sounds like Colossus from the two Deadpool films)
Insidion: True. But at least you know how to control yourself on the ship, Blockhead.
Midaria: Well, if Jagged's going to be that much of an issue, I say we send him down first and let the urchin spread his spikes.
Jagged: It would be an honor to lead the first hunt on Earth, master!
Sagittar: Very well Jagged. Take a Tri-Star ship down to an island location with some solid terrain to start with. And remember. If you're going to destroy the world…well…what's the point if there's no fun to be found?
Cue Theme Song (1 Minute)
We cut to the woods near the zoo Benny mentioned earlier. Speaking of whom, our red-shirted protagonist is walking down a path in these relaxing woodlands, with the perfect mixture of shade and cool breeze. Something he would totally enjoy if he weren't distracted by the fact that he doesn't feel ready to be an Eagle keeper yet.
Benny: (walking) Gah! Come on Benjamin, you're better than this! You have loved animals ever since you were a kid. (speaking a little quicker) Bald Eagles are your favorite animals and one of your favorite things ever, they are basically in your own backyard, and your mother is a zoo curator who can provide full resources for you to work with them, so why can't you just man up and say, "Give me some training so I can have a job with the eagles"!? Ugh!
Wanting to calm down, he plops himself down on a log, a forest clearing viewable in the distance through an opening in the trees.
Benny: (takes out his weird cube) So much for you being a good luck charm…I'm never gonna know what the real deal is with you am I?
He keeps starring at the cube, lost in thought…And then he hears something near the forest clearing.
Benny grabs the cube, shoving it into his pocket as steps closer towards the nearby clearing just enough to see something insane. We then smash cut upward to a shot of Jagged, the spiky monster from earlier, yelling "Yahoo!" while leaping out one of those "Tristar Ships" that Sagittar briefly mentioned (Adapted from the "Triangular")onto the ground of the dry forest clearing nearby, and begins looking at his surroundings.
Jagged: Time to change this forest's tone!
He then pulls out a set of weird-looking coins with what looks like stylized artwork of his master ingrained into them and throws all these coins into the air while yelling out the word "Amoebanoids!" This makes the coins transform into the grunts for this season (Adapted from the 'Moebas'). Somewhat blue foot soldiers with large blade-like weaponry, some yellow-colored sections, and a head shape that is inspired by amoebas and other single-cell organisms, though to me, they always looked like some kind of wendigo creatures. As such, I think it would be cool to have the Amoebanoids make some creepy distorted ungulate noises. Think the Prowler theme from 'Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse', but instead of it being a scarily edited elephant trumpet, it's multiple creepy blaring elk sounds all at once.
Jagged: Let's see how FLAMMABLE the Earth is!
The sea urchin-like monster begins blasting fireballs out of his cannon arm, lighting the dead trees surrounding this clearing ablaze as the Amoebanoids scream, and Jagged manically laughs with sick joy.
Benny: (gasps and gets down/whispers to himself) What…What are those things? ... If they keep doing what they're doing they could burn down the whole forest if someone doesn't-(eyes widen as a thought sparks inside his brain) I should-No. Yes-No. YES. NO…Ok, yes-wait, no! (covers his mouth quickly)
After another moment or two or yes' and no's in his head, followed by a deep breath and a "screw it", we cut back to Jagged.
Jagged: (watching the fire) I could be jumping the shark on this, but this may be easier than I thought!
As he charges up another big shot with his cannon arm, Benny kinda speed walks/sneaks up behind an Amoebanoid, and despite a second or two of hesitation, he sucks it up, realizing it's too late to turn back now, and punches the Amoebanoid in the back of the head...Which…works! Unfortunately, this causes the grunt to make a loud noise as he does it. Which gets to Jagged's ear.
Jagged: Huh? What was that?
Now it's REALLY too late to turn back. Benny panics the second Jagged starts turning his head around, and as a result, grabs the blade the knocked out Amoebanoid dropped, and while letting out somewhat of a war cry, runs up and slashes Jagged right in the chest with the blade. It causes sparks to fly and a quick surprise grunt out of Jagged, but it doesn't knock him down. Not seeing this yet though, Benny starts swinging the blade in his hands, even more, hitting a few Amoebanoids, and at least killing one of them.
Benny: Take that! (swings it around more) And that! (it's hitting anything anymore) And—(the blade is caught by Jagged's hand)
Jagged: Why hello there…HUMAN. (aims his cannon at the ground between the two)
Benny: (eyes wide open and terrified) …UH…Hi.
Jagged: (spooks Benny with a quick shot) Pretty brave for such a weak organism. (grabs him by the shirt) Tell you what. Since your recklessness got you a few hits on me and my Amoebanoids, I'll cut you a deal. I'll let you run and live, but you need to spread a message to your kind. Tell the humans that I, Jagged, and the Shooting Star Poachers have arrived. And we won't stop until all life on this planet has been utterly DESTROYED…AND, in exchange, you can survive longer than most.
Benny: W-What!? Never! I may be a coward, but I'd never help somebody like you! Let alone a monster!
Jagged: Hmm…I see…Well then, I supposed you'll have to be satisfied with DYING braver than most.
The alien raises his arm canon up towards Benny's torso…Then, out of nowhere, coming from behind Benny's general direction comes orange blaster shots. 4 to be exact, that each strike an Amoebanoid in the chest (maybe add some steam or singe marks for effect). Jagged and Benny look in the direction of the shot…and see 4 people armed with the same pants and shirt as Benny's, minus the red color, holding weird blasters (Adapted from the "Zyuoh Busters")while running forward. There's an Asian-American woman in a light blue shirt, an African-British man in a yellow shirt, a Caucasian man in a green shirt, and a Latino woman in a white shirt. And if you look close enough, their name tags say, Jackie, Caleb, Winston, and Sylvia.
Jackie: Hey freaks! We're gonna say this once! Let the zookeeper go!
(She sounds like Anne Boonchuy from 'Amphibia')
Jagged: Hmph. Fine. He's boring me anyway. (he throws Benny onto the ground)
Caleb: Retreat for the woods lad. We'll take care of this.
(He sounds like the youtuber "Thafnine")
Benny: O-Ok! Thank you!
Jagged: (as Benny runs) That's right, fool! Run! It's only a matter of time before we destroy you anyway!
As this is said, we see Benny running over to a hiding place at the edge of the woods where he can still watch the others and what's about to occur.
Sylvia: Alright, enough is enough. What do you monsters want?
(She sounds like Luz Noceda from 'The Owl House')
Jagged: For the love of-I just told the wimp this! I'm Jagged! I'm with the Shooting Star Poachers! We're here to destroy Earth and its lifeforms! There! You got all of that written down in your feeble mammal craniums?
Winston: Destroy the Earth?... This is even bigger than we thought.
(He sounds like Roger Craig Smith as the Disney Cartoon's "Captain America")
Caleb: Correct. And as a result, I think we've seen enough.
Jackie: I can't believe I'm saying this, but…you're right. It's time.
Sylvia: Agreed. You ready for this big guy?
Winston: (exhales) Maybe, maybe not…either way I don't think these things are gonna give us a chance.
Jagged: Yes, we get it, you're ready for whatever you're ready for. Get on with it!
Everyone nods and pulls out…cubes. Yes, more cubes that look exactly like Benny's, which of course makes the young Asian-American's jaw drops in confusion upon saying "WHAT!?" to himself. Suddenly, the cubes flash and take on a COMPLETELY different look than what they were before. Now they are mostly black in color with artwork on the sides and a top layer that appears to spin (Adapted from the "Zyuoh Changers"). The four strangers open up the cubes to reveal multiple buttons. They each quickly press the big red button, and then a specific single number. Jackie presses 2, Caleb presses 3, Winston presses 4, and Sylvia presses 5.
The Other Keepers: (slams their cubes shut) It's Morphing Time! Zoo! (one topspin) Mode! (another) Go! (third spin)
They open up the Morphers while also raising them up to the sky, and after a flash of colored lights for each, we get a cool slow motion shot where energy that looks like giant translucent cubes balanced on an angle, surrounds each member (differently colored for each person of course) and then quickly closes down on them.
And after a bright flash of light, one that causes Jagged and Benny to shield their eyes, we see what's happened to the 4. The flash fades away, along with some smoke, because it's cool so why not, we see the 4, posing together, with helmets and different colored clothing, which is, of course, the Zyuohger Suits.
Benny: (gasps with joy and amazement) NO WAY.
Jagged: Oh, you gotta be kidding me!
Cue sentai footage team pose.
Everyone: POWER RANGERS ... Zoo-Keepers!
Benny: Heck yeah!
Jagged: Enough! Amoebanoids! Kill the savage beasts. (the grunts start going forward)
Caleb: LET'S GO…(Jackie covers her ears) ANIMALISTIC!
As he yells out this word, a lion roar can be heard in the background; said "roar" briefly stopping the Amoebanoids in their tracks allowing our heroes to charge in. After some unarmed sentai fight footage that briefly showcases how each person on the team prefers to fight the grunts present or to be more accurate, that also ends with Caleb punching two Amoebanoids in the face, everyone stops, makes a motion with their arms, and yells out…
The Rangers: PRIMAL…POWER!
This makes everybody suddenly grow suit upgrades (Adapted from the "Yasei Kaihou!" suit upgrades). Jackie gets a shark fin on her back, Caleb and Sylvia get slightly larger and now clawed gloves with designs that differ in subtle ways from each other to represent the big cats they care for, and Winston gets much bigger boots that look like elephant feet.
Caleb: Woah! Didn't think these were ready!
Sylvia: W-well then let's stop standing around and use them!
Jackie: Agreed.
Winston: Ditto.
Cue CGI finishers from the sentai with environmentally motif-tied green-screen backgrounds.
Jackie back-flips in a manner that looks like she went underwater, but then leaps back out of the water while spinning rapidly in circles and floating in a way that cuts down a grunt group while yelling out "Shark Spin Dash!".
Caleb summons lightning from the sky to his clawed gloves and sends it out directly at another Amoebanoid group while yelling out "Lion Lightning!".
Winston raises his foot as CGI leaves suddenly fly around him and then stomps down so hard it unleashes a shock wave at his foes while yelling "Elephant Earthquake!".
Finally, Sylvia leaps into the air, and in a slashing down motion with her arms, sends out multiple claw-like energy strikes right into her opponent's faces while yelling out "Tigress Snow Strike!".
Benny: (still watching) I have so many questions, but I'm too amazed to ask.
Jagged: Yahoo! You just made this far more entertaining!
Caleb: If that's the case, you're gonna love the toys we brought!
He says this while pulling out the blade blaster thing from earlier and putting it into blade mode.
Everyone: (holds out their blades all at once) Savage Sabers! Charge!
Jagged fires more blasts at them with his arm cannon as the others run forward trying to strike him with their blades; Winston briefly stepping off to the side so he can revert his blade to blaster form and shoot Jagged. Though Winston does land a solid shot to his chest, it doesn't affect him, Jagged then trying to run away or at the very least lead them away with our heroes following after the shoulder spiked freak.
As they run off, we cut back over to Benny; still watching the fight from a distance.
Benny: ("charm" in hand) …I should probably get out of here.
Benny gets up, about to run away…but he stops…looks at the cube one last time in silence…and takes a deep breath before running towards the fight.
Back over with the fight, we smash cut to above the ground and see that some Amoebanoid reinforcements have arrived to help out Jagged. But they're not just any normal back up however because these Amoebanoids have jetpacks and spears that fire red lasers. The flying grunts fire down on our heroes in the forest clearing who thankfully manages to dodge this nearly lethal surprise.
Jackie: What the!? They FLY now!? (dodges a flying Amoebanoid)
Jagged: (runs up behind her) Focus on the fight, fish face!
He then smacks Jackie aside, which Caleb notices from close by, prompting him to try and run towards Jagged, but the monster just blasts him back, followed by Jagged launching some slightly charged fireballs at all the rangers at once; the Flying Amoebanoids assisting in this attack, firing down lasers at the team, with all of the monster's shots being effective even if they aren't exactly perfect blows.
Jagged: (as everyone struggles) Time to end this-
Suddenly, Benny comes up screaming some kind of…battle cry (I guess) on the monster's left, pushing himself right into Jagged's arm cannon, causing the next shot fired to fly straight towards the team, but just narrowly missing them (Jackie being the person the shot would've done the most damage to, had it been effective). Jagged then shakes Benny's grip on his arm off as the others take notice.
Jagged: You again?
He kicks our red-bellied protagonist, grabs him by the shirt, and throws him towards his beaten-up "comrades".
Caleb: What do you think you're doing, lad!? Just run while you can!
Benny: (struggling as he stands) N-No, I…I…have to do something! I can't just run away from this! Not when people are in danger! (pulls out his "charm") If you're as lucky as he said you were, then prove it now! ... Help me fight!
Winston: (in pain) Wait what!? W-Where did you get that-
Benny: Now's not the time!
Jagged: GAME OVER. (raises his cannon arm and charges up a large fireball)
Benny: Come on you crazy cube, let me fight as a ranger!
After a second of silence, the cracks on the charm break off and fade away, revealing…a Morpher, just like the ones everyone else has. This makes Benny gasp with joy. He quickly opens the cube up, presses the big red button, and then hits the button with a 1 one it, but the second he does, Jagged fires the previously mentioned charged attack, making Benny slam the cube shut and spin the top of it at breakneck speed…right as the blast hits him directly and creates a massive explosion.
Everyone looks up horrified, thinking Benny is dead…And then…an Eagle screech can be heard, catching everyone's attention, including Jagged.
This is followed by the Zyuohger logo briefly appearing in CGI form with a flash of red and a current of air that makes the fire disappear, allowing us to see Benny alive, but inside of some kind of transparent red CGI cube spinning on one of its sides. The cube very quickly closes down on him, forming a red ranger suit on the young man as an orchestral version of "Go, Go Power Rangers" plays in the background of the scene.
Benny briefly looks at the suit now on him with confusion at first but realizes what's happening. He looks up at Jagged as this happens, happy with what's going on. And we then get an awesome shot where a CGI bald eagle bites down on his head while he yells out "Zoo Mode Go!", a helmet forming on his head, and transparent, red CGI wings even briefly appearing out of his back to give him even more coolness. Cue epic solo pose.
Benny: Your time is up!...Time to go…ANIMALLISTIC! (cue, pose)
Winston: (still in slight pain) Oh, OF COURSE, it activates right before you're killed!
Jagged: Hmph. Amoebanoids!
With a snap of his fingers, the jetpack Amoebanoids come flying down.
Benny: MY TURN. Primal Power!
The eyes on his suit glow and out from his back sprout vibrant gorgeous red Eagle wings, which he then uses to take off, spinning wildly as he does. We then get fight footage that, yeah, is obviously CGI with a few greenscreen bits thrown in, but is still cool to watch as Benny dodges the various flying Amoebanoids lasers and knocks out of the sky with his wings and kicks.
Benny: Take that freaks!
Jagged: Right back at ya!
Jagged then blasts multiple fireballs at the red-feathered ranger that Benny is able to dodge, but after successfully avoiding the last shot, we briefly get 2 seconds of original footage where Benny's head, while he's still flying, jolts up pretty fast as the green eyes on his helmet briefly glow, followed by him quickly reaching down towards his belt like he's grabbing something, even though there's nothing there. It's almost as if he's acting on instinct. With a seamless cut between those super brief seconds of footage and the rest of the Sentai fight, Benny pulls out a sword (Adapted from the "Eagriser"), one much bigger than those Savage Sabers from earlier that sports an Eagle wing-like cross guard, and then proceeds to let the wings on his back vanish so he can then fall down and bring the sword down on Jagged in a blunt, bright red slash.
Benny keeps swinging his sword at Jagged, trying to land another good strike on him. Though the monster does manage to kick Benny back hard enough to send him flying, it lets us see this new sword's coolest feature as Benny swings it forward and uses it…to lasso and tree and pull himself safely down onto the forest floor. That's right, it's a chain sword. Recovering quickly, Benny doesn't let up; whipping Jagged everyone with this blade of his, even getting in a quick moment of some kicks to the urchin's chest, before wrapping the blade around Jagged's entire body as he gets up still trying to fight.
Benny: I don't where you came from, but I think I'll call you…the Eagle SHREDDER!
As he yells this out, with one super strong pull, the lassoed sword rips through Jagged's body as it retracts back into sword form like a tape measurer that had just been let go, the destructive wild card's wounds being wide and glowing like crazy as he screams in pain.
Jagged: (in pain) BUT…I thought you were just a weak HUMAN-
KABOOM. Benny walks away in slow motion as Jagged finally blows up. The others, now on their feet, run over to him as the other villains watch from space.
Blockhead: Already!?
Insidion: How did they defeat Jagged so fast!?
Sagittar: (laughs and stands up, showing his great height) Stow your fears, gentlemen. Midaria. You know what to do.
He holds up one of those Amoebanoid coins from earlier, but it very quickly glows and sheds its silver design, similarly to how everyone's cubes shed their cracked looking design might I add and becomes this more gold coin with a red core (Adapted from the "Continue Coins").
He then tosses it to Midaria, who catches it and briefly bows to him, before stepping into the center of the room and teleporting down in this cool green poker chip effect, Sagittar chuckling to himself after she does.
Now on the ground, she starts walking over to steaming Jagged's corpse. Yes, I did say corpse. We're keeping that from the sentai because that's the kind of slightly darker sentai stuff I love.
Midaria: Greetings rangers, my name is Midaria. (the team looks over) And I am here to finish this ("kisses" the coin) on the MACRO scale.
She slides the coin into a coin slot on Jagged's corpse…and I just realized I type that sentence, which then makes Jagged's seemingly screwed and lifeless body suddenly grow to be utterly gigantic in a massive burst of flames.
Jagged: (as he grows giant) THANK YOU, Midaria!
Benny: H-Hey! Coming back from the dead as a giant monster is cheating!
The team then hears a weird noise from behind them and they each pull out/open up their Morphers. Another button is glowing. A Yellow one.
Winston: Is this what I think it is?
They all press the yellow button, along with their respective individual number, close the Morpher and spin the top once more, only this time instead of turning it to the red animal symbol side, it's the gold cube side. The Morphers glow a different color for each member and finally summon in folded up cubic animal robots who levitate of the ground and quickly grow bigger (some sentai footage still in the scene giving away references to Zyuland).
Caleb: Heck yeah! We get our own zords!
Benny: Let's go!
Everyone: Right!
They all leap into the air and end up in their zord cockpits, everyone then activating the zords from cubic state one by one via placing their Morphers into a slot on this cube-shaped steering wheel type mechanism, which for the sake of this story we will be calling Command Cubes and spinning them.
Benny: Bald Eagle Zord! (Adapted from "Cube Eagle")
Jackie: Reef Shark Zord! (Adapted from "Cube Shark")
Caleb: African Lion Zord! (Adapted from "Cube Lion")
Winston: Pygmy Elephant Zord!(Adapted from "Cube Elephant")
Sylvia: Siberian Tiger Zord! (Adapted from "Cube Tiger")
The cubic animal zords all charge forward across the forest towards their giant adversary. After a brief shot of the villain's ship in space showing that more of the "Tristar Ships" like the one that brought down Jagged are on their way, say spike-headed titan begins firing on the robotic beasts. Though shaken a little bit, the rangers keep moving forward undamaged by the blasts. Villain reinforcements arrive as the extra Tristar Ships, which we briefly see are piloted by the Amoebanoids in their own special cockpits, fire more lasers.
Benny is blasted at first, but narrowly and quickly dodges all the Tristar lasers coming down on him. As said ships loop around to fire more, the Bald Eagle zord briefly goes back into its cubic form before opening back up and firing out 3 blasts that destroy 9 ships in seconds.
Benny: Oh crap! We forgot to stop the forest fire!
Winston: Let me try something!
The green ranger spins his command cube and makes the Pygmy Elephant zord blast mist on the trees around him, which appears to be working.
Jagged: (running quickly behind Winston and his zord) A free shot!
Winston: Oh shoot! Guys!
Before he can fire though, Sylvia and Jackie slam into Jagged with their zords in cubic form.
Jackie and Sylvia: Suck it!
Caleb: Take this!
The African Lion zord blasts lightning from its mouth at 3 more Tristar ships, the Reef Shark zord leaps up and comps down on another, crushing it into an explosion, and the Siberian Tiger zord launches energy claws out of its back that destroys 8 more ships. Back with Jagged, Benny's zord circles around him blasting him. As Jagged fires again, Benny's zord goes cubic, dropping out of the sky and bouncing down a mountain to avoid the blast, landing in Jagged's arms. Benny then spins his command cube once more and pulls some kind of spinning maneuver that knocks Jagged back through the top of another nearby mountain; the Bald Eagle zord finishing up its attack by unfolding back into its animal mode and floating back over the other zords, who've grouped up together.
But then, the Morphers make that sound again.
Benny: (pulling his out) There's more?
Upon opening his Morpher up, 3 rings of fire, or…I guess, Squares of fire? …Yeah, ok, 3 Squares of Fire appear in the sky.
Jackie: Oh sweet! Quick, pass through!
Caleb: Understood!
The Bald Eagle, Reef Shark, and African Lion zords lunge through the squares of fire…Followed by the Pygmy Elephant and Siberian Tiger zords doing the same but then comedically bouncing right off them like a window appeared to block their path.
Winston: Huh?
Sylvia: Why only 3 out of 5?
Benny: Megazord activate!
He then presses the blue button on his Morpher and then hits the 1, 2, and 3 buttons. He closes the Morpher, spins the top to the blue side, and then, the 3 zords all revert to cubic form, spin into the sky and line up over/under each other to form almost this totem or tower look. Caleb's zord goes at the bottom, Jackie's zord goes in the middle, and Benny's goes up top. Now properly stacked on top of each other, the tower turns to have its back face the camera as a bizarre pole-like device with a cubic piece atop it comes out of the sky fitting nicely into a long tunnel-like hole at the top of this tower of zords. The Bald Eagle zord's head and arms open up as a sword launches out of this new head into said zord's hand, a face appearing at the same time.
Benny, Jackie, and Caleb: Zoo King Megazord, Ready! (Adapted from "Zyuoh King")
Benny: Woah! Now, this is how you fight a monster! Let's go!
Everyone spins their command cubes, making the mech finally come time life. Jagged yells "Die!" as he fires blasts at them. The Zoo King Megazord isn't affected by the shots or any missed surrounding shots as it jump-walks forward, almost in slow motion, debris, smoke, and sparks flying everywhere that only slightly shakes up our team in the cockpit. Our trio spins their command cube sending their sword forward to block Jagged's cannon arm as it comes forward ready to slap the Zoo King Megazord in the face. This scene is made better by the angles chosen for the shot, and a brief moment where when the mech stops, dirt comes flying off the left legs as it comes to a halt.
After slashing back Jagged's cannon arm, they try to hit him again but miss twice in a way that allows Jagged to shoot them in the chest. Thankfully, they shake off the hit quickly and raise the sword, dirt swirling around it as the Zoo King Megazord pulls it back its arm.
Jagged: Ugh! What now!?
The trio spins their command cubes making the sword in the Zoo King Megazord's hand erupts with sparks as it slashes through Jagged's chest.
Winston and Sylvia: Our turn!
Finally, to give some assistance in the battle, the African Elephant zord blasts a green energy beam while the Siberian Tiger zord launches more energy claws from its back, both attacks successfully hitting the mad monster.
Jackie: Let's finish him off, boys.
This is said as they spin their Morpher tops back to the animal side and then plug them back into the command cubes. We then get a Sentai footage shot of the Megazord charging up a sword attack with a Zyuland background as the team shouts out…
Benny, Jackie, and Caleb: WILD…FINAL…Strike!
With one final spin of the command cubes as waves of colorful energy surround the trio, the sword slashes through Jagged so hard it replays 3 different times, the Zoo King Megazord charging forward as it cuts through the crazy killer Urchin. This is topped off by a cool little CGI effect where it looks like the numbers on the three zords got knocked off from doing that attack and then quickly fly back to the Megazord as it comes to a stop.
Jagged: (now smoking and sparking off red lightning) Forgive me, master! I've failed you!
The spiked psycho finally falls on his back and blows up. Sparks, smoke and even cube-shaped debris erupt from the ground as he does.
Benny: (as the others celebrate) Haha, yes! PHEW.
Cue one final shot of the Zoo King Megazord as the African Elephant and Siberian Tiger zords stand by it letting out noises.
In a flash transition, everyone, still in their suits, lands onto the ground. The zords seeming to have…disappeared.
Sylvia: Huh? Where did the zords go?
Caleb: Hmm. No idea.
Benny: Well, maybe that's a good thing…It means the monster's dead, and…m-maybe now we can get in a more proper introduction?
Jackie: Sounds fine to me.
She takes off her helmet a little slowly. Then Caleb and Sylvia do the same. And then Winston does. However, in the case of Winston, as I mentioned earlier, his body drastically goes from a slimmed-down muscular look back to a thicker fatter look. Benny is a little surprised by this which Winston picks up on quickly.
Winston: Oh yeah. I bet you're INCREDIBLY confused about all this.
Benny: (shrugs) Honestly...it's starting to weirdly feel normal.
Winston: (snickers) Guess so…I'm Winston, by the way. Winston Evans. (shakes his hand)
Caleb: The name's Caleb Lachlan.
Jackie: I'm Jackie. Jackie Sanders.
Sylvia: And I'm Sylvia Santos. Nice to formally meet you.
Benny: Thanks…Okay. My turn then. (is about to take off his helmet)
Martha: (in the distance) Guys!?
Benny: Wait...Was that-?
Jackie: Martha! Over here In the clearing!
The lavender curator comes out of the clearing's edge with a Savage Blaster in hand, sees the others, breaths a sigh of relief, and runs over to them.
Martha: Oh, I'm so glad you're safe! (starts hugging/high fiving the 4) I saw your battle from the zoo grounds. Thank the grid those zords showed up!
Caleb: We're happy you're safe too, Martha.
Winston: Agreed. Was the zoo evacuated?
Martha: Y-yes. Visitors and nonessential staff… No one was unattended. (still looks very worried)
Sylvia: …Martha? ... Are you okay, hon?
Martha: Well…no. It's my son. He went on a walk in the park earlier a-and I don't know if he's safe, I mean he's…he's not answering my calls, and I'm just so worried that he could've got hurt or-
Benny: Uh…H-hi mom.
Martha: (her eyes widen) …B…Benny? ... Is that you?
Benny: (he takes off his helmet and nervously smiles) Y-Yeah…It's…me, mom…(puts his hand on the back of his head) I'm a red ranger.
The episode ends with Martha covering her mouth with her hands as her jaw hangs wide open and text appears at the bottom of the screen saying…
