Hi guys! So this is my first ever fanfic, and I'm really excited to see how it goes. Warning: you may cry. Just so you know. Hope you enjoy!
Adrien
It was an ordinary week. Akumas attacked, Ladybug and I defeated them. Ordinary. Plagg annoyed me with requests for cheese. Ordinary. Father was strict and bossed me around. Ordinary. So what went so terribly wrong?
The only thing that was slightly out of the ordinary was Marinette. She was acting even stranger around me, as though she knew something and was scared to tell me. I didn't think about it too much. I didn't have time. Hawkmoth was attacking at every single second, and all I had on my mind was being a superhero, finding a way to fit in some sleep in my already very busy schedule, and trying to keep up with school.
Friday came slower than ever before, and I couldn't wait for the weekend. But I should've focused on the present, not the future.
Marinette
I was exhausted. It's been 6 years since I first got my miraculous, but Hawkmoth wasn't giving up. Chat Noir and I had become very close though, and it's weird to think that we would never have met if it weren't for Hawkmoth. Although Chat Noir told me that we were going to meet, even if Hawkmoth didn't exist, that we were inevitable. I'm not sure I believe that.
Things at school didn't really change though. I still went crazy whenever Adrien was around. Chloe made fun of me. Alya pushed me towards Adrien in a desperate attempt to get me to ask him out, or at least confess how I felt. But she seemed more pushy than usual, trying even harder to get me to confess. On Wednesday, I made up my mind.
"Alya, I'm gonna tell him." I said to her.
"Who? What? Huh?" she replied.
"I'm gonna tell Adrien how I really feel." I explained confidently.
"Wait, seriously!? That's awesome, girl! When?"
"Uhhh... Haven't really figured that out yet. But soon... Maybe..."
"That's kind of an important part of the plan you know."
"Yeah I know. I'll figure it out."
"Okay. I believe in you, girl!" she said.
But for the next couple of days, I was still trying to figure out how to tell him, and it was already Friday. So, at lunch, I walked up to Adrien, and
"Akuma! Akuma! Watch out!" Someone yelled.
Adrien grabbed my hand and ran with me towards the locker room. In any other situation, I would've been blushing like crazy, but I was too focused on finding a place to transform that I hardly even noticed.
Suddenly the akuma burst through the door and spotted us, hand in hand, and shouted, "Ugh! I can't believe you actually had the guts to confess,
Mari-brat!" in Chloe's voice.
"Chloe?" Adrien asked.
"It's not Chloe anymore, now I'm Voleur D'amour! But Adrikins, you like her back? I can't believe you'd fall for someone as gross as her. Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!" she screeched.
Adrien
I scanned the room for anything we could use as a distraction, so that we could escape and I could transform.
"Anyway," Voleur D'amour was saying. "Now I'm going to steal your love for each other, and then you'll love and worship me, as your amazing and beautiful queen!"
I spotted a pencil pot lying on the floor near Marinette's foot. Voleur D'amour was busy rummaging through an expensive looking beige bag, so I signaled to Marinette to pass me the pot. She did, and I threw it as far as I could over Voleur D'amour's shoulder. It clattered loudly on the gravel behind her.
"Huh?" she said, turning around.
I pulled Marinette over to a window at the back of the room. She opened it and clambered out. I began to follow her when Voleur D'amour turned back towards us and saw me trying to climb out of the window.
"Hey! Stop that!" she exclaimed, pulling a large silver pole out of her bag.
"Get help." I said to Marinette, then closed the window. Voleur D'amour swung the pole, and there was a loud crack, and the world went dark.
Marinette
"Get help." he told me, and swung the window closed.
"Wait!" I shouted, but it was too late. The wimdow was shut. I knew Marinette couldn't help him anymore, but Ladybug could. I ran to a dark alley, and Tikki flew out of my bag.
"We need to help Adrien!" I told her. She nodded. "Tikki, spots on!"
Ladybug
I chucked my yoyo towards the roof of the school and swung over. I kicked down the doors to the locker room to find Voleur D'amour pointing a yellow gun with black stripes at an unconscious Adrien.
"Well that's not fair. You should at least let him put up a fight, and anyway, if you do it like this, it's boring." I said to her.
She turned to me and snarled. "I'm saving my energy for my fight with you."
"Well, if that's the case, let's not waste any more time." I swung my yoyo at her and she deflected it with her gun. Then she pulled a yoyo similar to mine out of her bag. She smiled sweetly at me, but her eyes were cold and hateful. I swung my yoyo in a circle, like a shield. She attacked, and I blocked, waiting for Chat Noir to arrive. He sure was taking his time.
