Howdy folks. Yes this one is slightly shorter, but at the same time something that I don't think anyone has written, to my knowledge. What if Bell was a mute? Boy this stops a lot of people as Bell talks, yells, and shouts a lot. I always wanted to know how he would do, plus having Filvis as the couple there would make it nice though. Sure a one-shot, but hey, it's a story right?

This takes place after the LN12 of the Sword Oratoria. So minor spoilers with retcon of Filvis. So this is a NoCreature Filvis. I was considering it, but I changed my mind before I began writing it.

Hope you enjoy it.

Disclaimer: I don't own Danmachi, nor the characters.

Filvis was sitting in the middle of an open garden and sighed in relief.

She has been through a hellish ordeal and was saved by the Silent Rabbit, Bell Cranel. She is forever grateful for the white haired teen for saving her life, not only the recent moment but also herself.

She remembered how she met him on the fifth floor. She was ordered by Dyonisis to find a specific drop item that is only located on the 12th floor. She agreed and went to look for it. On that day, she heard a minotaur that shouldn't even be on that floor. The elf woman saw how it was ready to strike on a teenager who was terrified for his life. She took out the minotaur, but not before the blood sprayed on his body.

She saw how his eyes were closed and was trembling. Her heart nearly melted by how an innocent human looked. She went over and softly asked him "Are you okay?"

He opened his eyes and stared at her and was awed by her.

He was smitten by how beautiful she was and how she took it out like it was nothing. His hands were trembling and went to grab something. He then took out a piece of paper and what looked like a pencil. He then looked at the material and found it all blood soaked.

He sighed and then pointed at his neck.

She began to realize he was mute.

"You can't talk?"

He answered her with a shake on his head.

Then he had to do a bit of sign language, as that was the only other way he could communicate.

Thankfully she understood him and was saying "Thank you for saving me."

She then decided to escort him back to the Guild. He looked down and felt embarrassed that a low level like him saved someone that beautiful.

She learned he was embarrassed that he was the damsel in distress. He is grateful, but felt helpless that he couldn't do much.

She learned that he was part of Hestia's Familia and was the only child there. No one wanted him as he was at a disadvantage and felt he wasn't worthwhile to keep. Yet he worked hard to prove that wrong.

Over time, she kept tabs of him, thanks to her god giving orders to keep an eye on him due to his odd growth in strength. She was surprised how fast he was growing. Sometimes she would bump into him and see how he is progressing. He would write and tell stories of his time in the dungeon. She thought it was adorable how he would re-enact certain moments by his movements and actions. It was like watching a storyteller without a voice, movements told more than anything.

Then a surprise occurred. He can cast spells without speaking. This shocked her to the core and wanted to know how it was done. He could cast a Firebolt and was pretty good at it, after she found him on a mind down on one of the floors. She took care of him by giving him a lap pillow. It embarrassed both of them for different reasons.

She took him under her wing and began to teach him how to fight properly with weapons and magic. She was impressed how well disciplined he is and how he is willing to learn. He worked hard to get stronger.

She then met Lefyia and became fast friends with her. She did notice some hesitation from the white haired teen, but she was awed by his silent spells. She respected him, but saw him as a bit of a rival. She would giggle at how those two acted like siblings at times and found it nice. She did meet with Ais and she apologized to Bell for allowing the minotaur to escape the floors. He forgave her and they were able to move on with life. She would sometimes advise Bell on a few things, but it was mostly Filvis.

They crossed paths with the Loki familia a lot and Bell was involved in various incidents with these new monsters. The more they dug deeper into the new monsters on the loose, the more the enemies became more lethal. And the more they learned of an organization that was presumed to be gone is back.

After months of growing in strength, going from level 1 to a level 4, she felt that Bell would never need her at all, which was proven wrong. He would go to her and would write for help on things as he admitted he was still new. She felt happy about it. She never understood why she was happy whenever she saw him. Did she fall for him? She began to think about those feelings to a human, but he was a really sweet guy. It also helped that her best friend was able to overcome an obstacle she faced each day.

He, along with Lefyia, were able to help her overcome her stigma as being called The Banshee. It took talks, in Bell's case writing, and also training in order for her to realize that it wasn't her fault. Slowly, she was losing that ice cold look and began to smile more, which made Bell and Lefiya happier. She felt support that she never had in a long time, in thanks to the encouragement of her god to keep going on meeting them.

Then the big battle happened within Babel.

It was the toughest they ever faced with numerous plant monsters to Evilus members doing so much damage to the place, along with taking out their allies.

During the big battle, Filvis felt her power being gone as Dyonisus was sent to the heavens. One of the creatures got her and was ready to snap her neck when Bell saved her life. They fell back from the battle, in order to take Filvis back to safety. Thankfully the Xenos were there assisting them to get Filvis out.

The battle ended and they won.

She eventually joined the Hestia Familia after everything they went through, which brought the familia members welcoming her warmly.

She did learn of the truth about her former god and his dual personality. She was sad that everything she knew about him was a lie, and how he was the one that led the death of her comrades in that incident. However, she was at peace about it.

And now, she is just relaxing after everything she went through, the peace she is looking for. However, one thing is missing and she wondered what it could be.

She then heard footsteps and she opened her eyes, she saw Bell with his regular clothes on him. Black shirt and black trousers with a bright smile on his face.

"He is still pure. I managed to protect him at my best for that smile. He is my light of my life during my darkest moments. I would continue to protect this precious pureness of Bell...but am I worthy still to hold him onto it?" was all she could think about.

He sat next to her and tilted his head.

"Hello Bell."

He gave a small wave and then began to gesture with his hand movement. She understood him already and giggled.

"I'm at peace now, Bell. But…..I feel like one more thing is needed in my life." She gave a warm smile as she grabbed his hands, and he stared at her.

He was blushing a bit and was surprised she was grabbing his hands. This was maybe one of those rare moments she does it.

"It's okay Bell. Plus….this is something I wanted to tell you."

He nodded

"Bell, I would like to thank you for saving me, not just after the last battle….but also saving myself." Few tears were coming out. "You never judged me, you respected me, and you never gave up on me."

He gave a smile.

"I am more grateful than anything. You are the light of my life, when no one reaches out to me. You brightened my day with your beautiful smile, and your eagerness to make me happy..." She grew nervous and Bell could tell from her body language.

"And...I don't know how you feel about me, but I do...and well….oh wow, I am having a hard time here…." she began to blush harder.

Bell understood this emotion and she is trying to say it. He was going to show this later, but it would be a good time to do it.

He stopped her and then wondered why.

He took out a red potion and drank it to the last drop. Then he placed it on the side and felt some tingly on his neck and winced a bit. She wondered why he was in pain for a bit.

Then it stopped.

He opened his mouth and said in a near raspy voice "Filvis…."

She was in shock he spoke his first word "Bell…."

"Temporary…..Filvis…." he held her hands again and smiled softly as few tears were coming out of his eyes as well "I….love….you…."

She was smiling softly as more tears came out "Really?"

He nodded "Loved you….since minotaur….you have my heart…."

"Oh Bell….I love you too!"

She placed her head close to his forehead and gave a small kiss. Then a few more kisses, then a hug as more tears came out. She was happy to hear him speak, only for a short time.

Bell felt happy he spoke those words to her. He was overjoyed that those feelings are given back. It was all worth it and he is going to thank Miach for doing this favor for once.

She loved her rabbit, even if he couldn't speak, even if it is a little, she knows he can express that love by their actions more than words.

End

A/N: Yep, it is a great idea to write this piece of story. I do wonder what other skills he would have gained from Filvis, and how much of a difference that relationship would be. Of course, I wonder if Hestia would have had some minor hesitation due to Dionysus being around with Bell? So many questions that the universe needs to be opened more. Hehehe. I wondered if I did do the canon Ein/Filvis, I wondered how much would that change her mind on being loyal to Enyo? Hmm….another possible one-shot I can use or maybe add it on an idea….

Now, I believe the next one is Aphrodite. I have done all I can to do my research on her and her personality. Now I know the second part of the Vesta event is ongoing, so I am going to write how it would play out, in my opinion and how this relationship will play out in the end. Or I could go AU, where Artemis never came back and the Vesta event never happened. So, we will see.

Until then, take care.
