"Don't be bemused, it's just the news! Yesterday, at five o clock in the morning, people saw a strange girl, who seemed to be frozen. Her eyes were wide and protruding, and green, and her mouth was agape, as if she had witnessed something terrible. She does not seem responsive. No parents have reported that this strange girl is theirs. Even after numerous facial recognition scans, we can conclude that this strange child is registered as a citizen of Paris, or any other country from around the world. When people have tried to approach the girl, they seem unable to, like there is some sort of invisible barrier around her. The police, doctors and physicists are all involved in the case, and a recent report an hour ago said that some sort of gravitational disturbance, a scientific anomaly, has and is occurring around this strange child." Nadja Chamack whispered, slight fear in her voice which she muffled with a cough. Marinette didn't care about the rest, only switched the broadcast off and transformed into Ladybug.

She jumped out of her room, and leapt from rooftop to rooftop, her blue ponytails blowing behind her in the gentle autumn breeze, which was caressing her freckled face as she semi flew, semi leapt, with the air of agility of a skilled gymnast. She took out her bug-phone, and called Cat noir, who luckily, happened to be transformed at the moment, because he was attending a fan ceremony in honour of him.

"Milady, what's up?" his voice came from the phone.

"I need you. Quick."

Cat noir hung up, and next thing she knew, he was right in front of her. "Have you seen the news?" she crooned.

"No." Cat noir shrugged haughtily.

Ladybug explained about the frozen child, and by the end of the story, he was very shocked and unable to find words. "What should we do?" he whispered.

"I don't know. I have a feeling this is something to do with a miraculous. Maybe Hawk Moth is involved with this. If he isn't, I'm sure it's not something good anyway. He might be racing us to figure out what is going on, so he can use what he's found to defeat us. I have bad instincts about this whole thing, but we need to investigate."

"M'lady, as much as I agree, we aren't really the right people. We need help, from people who are good at this kinda thing."

"Good idea. We need Pegasus, he's clever. And we need Rena Rouge, she's like a journalist, always curious and on the ball for anything strange." Ladybug nodded, and a few minutes she returned with them. Briefing them on the mission, they agreed.

"I think, as a start, we must make a visit to the scene of the mystery." Pegasus sted, pushing up his glasses.

They arrived at the place. The girl was exactly how Nadja had described. Ladybug gasped, pointing to her hand. On it, was some scribbled letters. She made out some letters that seemed to be written mirror image.

"Ladybug, Cat noir! We are glad to see you", an old man with a lab coat gasped. "I suppose you are here to help us solve the case?"

Ladybug nodded curtly. "Anything new?"

"Well, yes. X- Ray scans have told us that the child's heart is tilted right."

Max gasped.

"I— sorry, what?" Ladybug raised an eyebrow. The others seemed confused as well.

"The human heart lies in the front and middle of your chest, behind and slightly to the left of your breastbone." Max recited. "That is why it is strange. It is supposed to be slightly to one's left, not right."

"Can a person be flipped? Like, mirror image?" Ladybug inquired.

"Uh… well… I've seen a dimensional analogy of a 2D being being flipped into the fourth dimension, and becoming mirror image." Max said quickly. "But this is entering realms of physics never dreamt about. We are talking about a revolution of dimensional physics as we know it. This is a very strange anomaly, and I have minimal, if not, zero, theories on it yet."

Ladybug gasped. "I think I know who to see. You said that this is realms of physics never dreamt about. Maybe people in the future would know."

"Yeah, but we don't have anyone from the future." Rena Rouge smirked.

"What if we do? You know what, can y'all meet me in our previous meeting place tomorrow at eleven o clock at night?" Ladybug asked.

They nodded wearily, and parted.

The heavenly body of the moon illuminated brightly in the pitch black scene of the night, it's angelic aurora resonating in the swift hush of the cool, moist air. The silhouettes of pine trees were shadowed, swaying gently in the breeze, so close that they were exchanging secrets from mouth to ear. The tender rustle of the auburn leaves and the swift, uplifting rush of the wind was the only sounds that could be heard in the midnight hour, when all of the homes were locked, and the windows were all shut, and every light was switched off.

The sky was dark blue at the bottom, and blended into a calm, emerald green, a sparkly handful of white dots scattered all over the moonlit sky. The moon looked down at the four, its elegant face winking smilingly.

They were all gathered round. Ladybug was holding a small round object, that looked like a locket and a watch. Next to her was a kwami, Fluff.

"We're gonna go to a future miraculous holder." Ladybug said. "It's Alix. I'm not sure if you all know her." Ladybug said.

It just so happened that all of the miraculous holders present were in the same class, so they nodded.

"Yeah, uh, I faintly remember something 'bout her, but not like I know her well." Cat noir laughed nervously.

"Tikki, Fluff, unify!" she shouted, and her red and black polka-dots outfit was replaced by a white, blue, silver and black outfit. On her waist was her yo-yo, and in her hands was an umbrella.

"Ladybug, you better get rid of your ladybug transformation. Too much power at the same t—"

"Oh yeah, right." Ladybug sighed. "Tikki, divide." She said, and tikki whizzed out, replacing her unified outfit with bunnix's.

"Oh, so this is your kwami." Cat noir crooned.

"Yes, yes, yes." She said, pocketing her earrings, and Tikki disappeared. "Now, we might face some very strange things, since we are entering the future, but—" she started to brief them.

"Will we see aliens?" Rena Rouge demanded eagerly.

"Um, I— I don't know. Just try to look as little as you can, since messing with time is dangerous." She whispered. "Burrow!" and a white portal materialised, and they all clambered through, ready for whatever they had to face.

A blinding green light fell upon the three teen's face. "WHO ARE YOU!?" a brutal voice yelled. It was night here, as well, and the same scene, except the moon was blood red.

"W-we're here to see Alix Kubdel." Ladybug shuddered with a weak smile.

"Don't worry, Alaric, they're with me." a woman whispered with a fearful confidence in her voice.

"If that's a lie, Cobra…" the man hissed threateningly, and the woman nodded. "Yes, sir", and dragged them away.

"Cobra?" Who— who are you!?" Alya shuddered.

"You must be freezing, here, have this." She said, and flung a blanket around the four of them, and she tightened her travelling coat. Their breath came out as a mist in the cold night air. They could barely see a thing, but was following the dim outline of the woman. She had short blond hair tied in a messy ponytail, and her face was pallid and colourless, and a faint scar across it.

"Bunnix, you look a mess! What's happened to you?!" Ladybug exclaimed.

"I— nothing, I'm fine." She said, but choked and spluttered as she said it. She led them to a small cottage, and opened the door and ushered them in. "Come on, we can't loiter too long in one place, it's dangerous."

"Why is the moon red?" Alya asked.

"A "blood moon" happens when Earth's moon is in a total lunar eclipse. While it has no special astronomical significance, the view in the sky is striking as the usually whiteish moon becomes red or ruddy-brown. In many cultures, it is a bad omen." Max said. "But I prefer to stick to the science." He added hastily.

Bunnix said: "Can I make you some tea, anything?" Her voice was hoarse and worn, as if years of no use had caused it to be this way.

"Yes please, that would be great." Cat noir thanked warmly.

She gestured wordlessly for them to sit, and they did just so.

"Bunnix, we had something strange going on in our time, but we can see something major is going on in yours. Is everything ok?" Ladybug demanded.

Bunnix turned away from them. Ladybug thought she might have seen a tear in her eye. "Everything's fine… f-fine." She said quickly, closing the window. As she was pouring the tea, her hands were shaking terribly. She suddenly dropped the teacup, and Cat noir's instinctively leapt to catch it, and succeeded.

"Who was the man outside?"

"H-He's not from here."

"Where's he from?"

"Very far." Bunnix whispered, looking around, as if to see if anyone was watching.

"How far?"

"He's… he's an alien." Bunnix wailed.

"Alien!? No!" Max gasped, clapping a hand to his mouth.

"Listen, my Miraculous is broken. It's damaged."

"Miraculouses can be damaged!?" Max gasped.

"Yes." Ladybug said, finally relieved at knowing something Max didn't. "When a kwami is ill, if not treated immediately, the miraculous will become damaged and the wounds of the miraculous will become the wearer's. My kwami was ill once, but the Guardian healed her."

"You're the guardian. You can heal it, right?" Bunnix held it out.

"Yes, I— I think so." She said, taking out the grimoire and doing what she needed to do.

A white light came from the watch, and it was healed.

"That should work. Now, I need to ask you something about a girl who is frozen in our time. Wha—"

Bunnix gasped. "NO! B-but that means—"

"THEY'RE IN HERE!" voices yelled.

Bunnix gasped. "YOU'VE GOT TO GO! BACK TO YOUR TIME! HE'LL BE THERE, HE'LL SAVE YOU!" she screamed.

"But Bunnnix, what about you! If they find you—" Cat noir shuddered.

"You're right! It'll be terrible!" she wailed. "I have to stay here. There's a chance I can maintain my cover!"

"Look, Bunnix, I can't understand what's going on, but if they find you, you're in grave danger"

"I KNOW!" she screamed. "I know what's going on, I know how to fix it! Go! Hurry up! Before they—"

BANG

The door was blasted open with such force that all five of them screamed.

"No! Quick! Get them! Get them alllll!" one of them yelled. Many strange people who were ridiculously tall ran in.

"Burrow!" Ladybug screamed, and the portal appeared. She beckoned frantically for everyone to come. They leapt in, but Bunnix had been caught by one of them. They were pulling her away, out of the house.

"We've got to save her!" Ladybug cried.

"Save ourselves first, Ladybug! The present is in a mess!" Rena Rouge screamed. Ladybug reluctantly agreed, and they entered their own time.

When they got back, it was dawn. Twilight. Or whatever you call sunrise. It was only nearly bright. The horizon was pink, and you could see some of the sun's rays but not the sun itself. People were jumping across buildings. They had appeared at the top of one.

"What on earth is going on!?" Max yelled. Blaring sirens rung out. There was a chase happening, and the same tall people with grey hair were closely tailing a man in purple and black… NO!

"THAT'S HAWK MOTH!" Cat noir bellowed. And he was right.

"LADYBUG! CAT NOIR!" he yelled. They followed. They were so bewildered as they tried to process everything happening. The screams. The sirens. The chase. They had only been away for half an hour. What could have happened?

"LADYBUG! CAT NOIR! THE REST OF YOU, COME!" Hawk moth roared, narrowly avoiding a knife, which had been jabbed inches near Hawk moth's neck. He leapt closer to them.

"Here! Into this alleyway!" his voice quietened slightly as he gracefully jumped down. The four followed, unsure of what else they could do.

"What's going on!?" Ladybug panted.

"A lot." Hawk moth said gruffly.

"Why did you bring us here? So you could take our miraculouses?" Rena Rouge glared. They all gripped their weapons tighter.

"No. I have come to help you."

"Help?" Scoffed Ladybug. "help!?"

"Yes, help. Or is that word too complicated for your simple minds to understand?" he smirked.

"Shut up." Ladybug huffed. "Or are those words too complicated for your dumb mind to understand?" Ladbug smirked smugly back at him.

"Why would you ever help us?" Cat noir hissed.

"Because the world in threatened."

"Why?"

"Aliens. Where where you?" he raised an eyebrow.

"In the future." Rena Rouge said. "And it's messed up there. We need to stop it.

"How can we trust you?"

"I can't fight you, my miraculous is damaged. Only slightly, but still, damaged. It is quite painful using my powers, but I can manage transformed. It causes minor fatigue as well."

"Broken miraculous? First Bunnix, then you?"

"Bunny who?"

"Bunnix is a Miraculous holder in the future." Pegasus explained.

"On my side or yours?" he demanded.

"Ours." Ladybug smirked.

"The reason why other miraculous holder's miraculous' are damaged is because these aliens bring the magical disease that makes kwamis ill, which makes a Miraculous damaged."

"After all of this, you'll go back to trying to get our Miraculouses, riiiiiight?" Rena Rouge raised an eyebrow.

"That is something I cannot say yes or no to yet."

"I'll heal your miraculous, but I get to keep it until you are good. Ok?"

Hawk moth nodded glumly, handed Ladybug his miraculous and watched as Ladybug performed the ritual upon the butterfly brooch. When she gave it back, he transformed and came back into view.

"Well, come on. Let's go save the world." Ladybug grinned.
