When Eve first started to feel sick, she panicked only a little about prehistoric diseases, filing away her missed period as a consequence of stress and age. It was when her breasts started to hurt and got a little bigger that she figured out what the issue was. She hunted down one of the few pregnancy tests that had fallen into the sinkhole with them and took it even though she already suspected the result - needless to say, Eve wasn't surprised when it came back positive. A little worried about telling Levi, she took a deep breath before tracking down her boyfriend. "I have something to tell you," she murmured.

He eyed her in concern. "Everything okay? You're not still worried about prehistoric diseases, are you? Wait, do you have a prehistoric disease?"

She snorted. "No, I do not have a prehistoric disease but thank you for her concern." Eve leaned over and kissed Levi, inhaling and exhaling a few times before dropping the bomb on him. "I'm pregnant."

Stunned silence for a moment before Levi blinked. When his brain finally caught up to the words that had come out of her mouth, he let out a whoop and picked up a slightly terrified Eve. "We're having a baby?"

"In the past," she reminded him.

"We'll figure it out," Levi assured her, cringing once he realized Gavin probably already knew about this. He hoped he wasn't too hurt by their news - they likely had a lot of apologizing to do if they ever got back to their time. "I love you, Eve."

"Yeah, right back at you," she shot back before a wave of nausea overtook her, and she turned to the side to throw up. He winced and patted her back sympathetically.

Sam and Riley attended to Eve's pregnancy, ensuring everything went smoothly without modern medical care and technology. As Eve's stomach started to swell, she allowed herself to become excited about the baby and hope for the future.

She was five months along when the group was saved and ended up back in their time. A doctor checked them all out, and Eve immediately got an ultrasound proving everything was going well (she and Levi both cried seeing their baby on the screen for the first time, and were delighted to learn they were having a daughter). Not wanting to alert Gavin and Izzy to her pregnancy just yet, even though she logically knew they were probably aware, Eve hid her burgeoning pregnancy in loose clothing once she changed. "I don't know what you're freaking out about," Levi murmured, even though he too was freaking out.

Eve side-eyed him. "I know you're panicking. Do you think Gavin's going to punch you?" she teased.

"You two are gross," Josh complained but there was no heat in his voice so they just laughed.

"How are you doing? Nervous to see your dad and sister?" Eve pressed.

He shrugged. "A little." He was terrified, actually, but refused to admit that fact out loud (even though they definitely saw right through him).

Eve wrapped her arms around herself as a way to protect the little life inside of her for just a bit longer and waited expectantly for Gavin and Izzy. When they burst through the door with Jessica in tow, she burst into tears and gasped when Izzy ran right towards her. "I missed you," Izzy sobbed, dragging her brother into the hug.

"We missed you too, baby. You're so grown up now. Look at you." Eve could hardly believe it - her oldest child was a full grown adult now.

Gavin and Levi shook hands before hugging each other. "Just go with it for now, until she's ready to tell you," Levi whispered in his eyes.

Gavin snorted. "Freaking out, huh?"

"I'm surprised you aren't."

"I've had a few years to get used to this," Gavin reminded him. He'd be visiting a lawyer to file for divorce in a few days but figured they all needed to readjust to this reality first.

"True."

"Congratulations, though." Gavin choked back a sob when Josh hugged him. He kissed the top of his son's head and refused to let you. "God, kid, I've missed you. You're a man now," he teased.

Josh rolled his eyes but was too happy to chide him and stayed silent. "Thanks," he finally murmured.

Izzy refused to let go of her mother and smiled once she finally noticed the swell of Eve's stomach (which she was unsuccessfully trying to hide. But no one said anything, willing to wait for her to say something when she was ready). "Let's go home."

"Sounds like a plan." Gavin flashed them a smile, and the five of them headed back to his place.

"Come check out my room." Izzy grabbed her brother and dragged Josh down the hallway. Normally, he would have complained but he missed his sister too much and wasn't ready to give her shit just yet.

"Do you want anything? Food? Something to drink?" Gavin eyed them both in concern, wanting to make sure they were well-fed.

"You should eat something, Eve," Levi told her.

She rolled her eyes at his overprotectiveness. "I'm fine, thank you. Will grab something myself if I need it." But she was touched by his concern, the damn hormones fucking her over again. Eve's eyes welled up with tears and she sniffled, so glad to be back home.

"Eve, come on." Levi pulled her in for a hug and quickly kissed her, not wanting to upset Gavin.

Gavin crossed his arms and smirked at them. "So when's the wedding?" He just wanted to fuck with them for a bit - it was fun and his job as Levi's best friend (slash Eve's estranged husband).

They jumped apart, startled. "What are you talking about?" Eve finally got out.

"I'm psychic, remember? I know you two are together." But he stayed silent on the pregnancy, still willing to wait this out.

"Are you mad about the affair?" Eve had eventually let go of her guilt but she needed to apologize to him. "I am so sorry, Gavin."

He waved off her apology. "I appreciate it but I forgave you both a long time ago." He hoped that helped them both.

"Thank you."

"It means a lot. We'll always be sorry for the affair." Levi smiled and the two men quickly hugged again.

When the kids returned, chattering to each other a mile a minute, Eve figured it was time to say something. She grabbed Levi's hand and squeezed it so hard he winced. Her voice cracked as she started speaking. "You probably already know so I don't know why I'm freaking out so much but I"m pregnant. Levi and I are expecting a little girl in four months."

"Stuck with two sisters to annoy me now," Josh joked, grunting when Izzy elbowed him.

"We did already know and I can't wait to meet her. Going to teach her everything I know," Izzy firmly declared. She reached her hand out, which hovered over her mother's stomach.

"You can touch my stomach," Eve assured her.

Izzy happily palmed her mother's stomach and laughed when the baby kicked. "This is awesome. Nice to meet you, little sister. Can't wait until you're actually out here with us but stay in there and cook for a little while longer, okay? I love you," she cooed.

Eve's eyes filled with tears again. "Congratulations - I'm truly happy for you both." With Eve's permission, Gavin placed his head next to Izzy's. "Hi there. I'm sorta your uncle/godfather. We'll work it out later."

"Our little sister knows the sound of my voice already," Josh taunted Izzy. He laughed when she gently punched him.

The Harris-Delgado family had to adjust to everything that had changed since their separation but they'd get there eventually. Gavin and Eve's divorce was finalized rather quickly, and he even attended the wedding, standing in as best man when she and Levi eloped just days later.

The whole family celebrated when Grace Alexandra Delgado joined the family a few short months later. "Thank God I gave birth in a hospital and not the wilderness." Eve would have trusted Sam and Riley to deliver the baby safely, however. She shifted Grace and smiled at the baby, rocking her back to sleep.

Levi barked out a wet laugh, still crying tears of joy. "She's absolutely perfect." He was head over heels in love with her already, and he was so thankful to his wife for going through hell for nine months to keep Grace safe.

Eve beamed at him. "Yeah, she is." God, she couldn't wait to get home so they could actually relax.

Their trip to the past wouldn't be the last time anyone time traveled but life had changed in wondrous ways for all of them despite the utter hell they had survived. It had actually worked out for the best in the end, although no one wanted to repeat the experience (they wouldn't have to, thankfully).
