Well, this took longer to come out then expected. Sorry guys. The holidays always make me extra lazy. Don't know why. But anyways, new story time! And this time, we are doing our first (of two) double character stories! Namely, Mike and Zoey. And there are going to be a lot of changes this time around. I know I say that at the start of all my stories, but I mean it this time!

"Are you sure she's really a human?"

Admittedly, Palutena, Goddess of Light, wasn't sure of that herself. It seemed like it was going to be a normal day for the most part, but suddenly, she was dragged by her husband/bodyguard/captain of the guard, Pit, into her garden. It was there where they found a young girl. She had no idea where she was, how she got there, or most things outside of her name.

"I don't know, Pit, but she can't be an angel, considering that she doesn't have any wings," Palutena pointed out. The little girl, who claimed her name was Zoey, was fast asleep on Palutena's lap.

"She's pretty cute, though," Pit said. Palutena realized that she had been absentmindedly running her hands through Zoey's hair.

"That's a no brainer," Palutena replied. "But we should keep her with us. After all, a human in Skyworld is not normal in the slightest. As such, there could be people who sent her to us in an attempt to hurt us."

"Or maybe they sent her to us as a present!" Pit cheerfully exclaimed. "I've always wanted to be a father!" Palutena flinched. She knew exactly what he was referring too. A godly being and an angel could not bear children together.

"Perhaps that's true," Palutena admitted. As Zoey snuggled further into her lap, Palutena's smile grew. She could be a mother. She wondered if any other gods had gotten such a strange gift.

"C'mon Viridi, can we keep him!? Please?!"

Viridi, Goddess of Nature, dragged her hand down her face. One of her most loyal generals, Phosphora, had suddenly just burst into her private chambers. And before Viridi could even get a word in, Phosphora excitedly revealed that she somehow found a human in one of her gardens. Viridi didn't care how it happened, all that mattered was that it did.

"Phosphora! If we let that thing stay, he will destroy everything we've worked towards!" Viridi argued.

"But he's so little!" Phosphora protested. "He's smaller than you!"

"He's gonna get bigger!" Viridi pointed out, deciding to let the height crack slide.

"Maybe he'll be on our side!" Phosphora fired back. Before Viridi could reply, she felt a tug on her dress. Looking down, she saw the human boy looking back at her, on the verge of tears.

"...Mama?"

Throughout the whole conversation, Viridi had a small voice in the back of her head, nagging her to open her heart to the little boy. But at that comment, said voice proceeded to expand to the rest of her head, chase her human hating voice into a dark alley, gleefully stomp it into little pieces, then obliterate the pieces with a smile on its face.

"Okay, new plan! This human will be raised here and the right way!" She announced as she scooped the little boy into her arms. "What's your name?"

"Mike!" The boy happily cheered.

"Well, Mike, welcome to your new home! I'm your mama-" Viridi began to say, only for Phosphora to cut her off.

"And I'm your big sister Phosphora!" She announced. Mike giggled and cheered.

"Who said you were his big sister?" Viridi asked.

"I just did," Phosphora replied as she used her lightning magic to mess with Mike's hair, causing him to laugh even harder. Viridi decided that maybe she could get used to this.

Honestly, writing the scenes with Viridi and Phosphora were a lot of fun. Then again, Viridi was always my favorite character in Uprising so that might have something to do with it. Also, to make the relationship between Palutena and Pit a little less gross, Pit has the body of an eighteen year old, rather than a thirteen year old. And finally, why Zoey and Mike in Kid Icarus? As much as I love their relationship, I wish that they weren't instantly smitten with each other and then had Mike's disorder add the relationship drama. So, what if they were raised to have different morals from each other? That could make things more interesting to write. Anyways, see you next time!
