It's been two weeks since Chloe and Lucifer finally took the next step in their relationship. She was currently standing over her toilet throwing up last night's dinner.

"Ugh." She gagged into the toilet. Luckily Trixie was with her grandmother.

She whipped the sweat off of her forehead, she flushed the toilet walking over to her vanity and brushed her teeth. She looked in the mirror, she may be sick but her face is glowing, not pale how it is when she is sickly.

It had been a few days since she found out she was pregnant. No, she wasn't scared to tell Lucifer. She was worried about his reaction, she thought celestials couldn't get mortals pregnant.

She shrugged, the only thing she was truly scared of was telling her coworker who knew nothing about Lucifer and Chloe's relationship. She did her normal slicked back hairstyle and grabbed her things heading off to work.

Today would be fine, nothing would be different until her nine weeks.

Lucifer watches Chloe walk into the department. She seemed more cheerful this morning. He takes a sip of liquor while studying her. Something was off and he had been noticing it since last week. He just never said anything.

"Detective, you seem rather cheerful today, huh?"

She looked up at Lucifer, excitement fueled her but she kept it from showing on her face.

"Oh really, I don't feel cheerful."

"So, you're feeling down?" Lucifer pondered

"No, I'm just neutral."She lied

Lucifer hummed and walked away, leaving Chloe confused at his odd and random behavior. She suspected that he was just becoming suspicious of her. She would have to tell him today. Maybe at his place or whenever she gets the time today.

She sat at her desk and filled out paper. Ella and her usual happy self ran up to Chloe. Which was odd since they just put her serial killer ex in jail.

"Hey Ella, are you okay?" Chloe asked, tilting her head.

"I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?" Ella asked

Chloe relaxed her face, "Well, you know– we did just put your killer ex in prison."

Ella looked down at her hand, "I'm just trying my best to move on and just be me. You know?" Chloe nods and grabs her arm gently.

"If you need me, I'm always here to talk."

They embrace each other, "I know Chloe, Thanks."

They separated and went on with their jobs. Surprisingly there was no homicide today, the day went by with simple calls and paper to sign. After she went over to Linda's home, of course, she called beforehand.

"You're going to eventually have to tell Lucifer, what are you waiting for, are you scared?"

"No, it's just I'm scared of what might come with this pregnancy. And I'm also scared of what my job will say." Chloe admits.

Linda hummed in realizing what she was saying. She put down her cup and looked at Chloe. "You and Lucifer have come so far to let other people and possibly celestial ruin what you guys built. God literally made you just for him. What could go wrong with this pregnancy?"

Chloe nods looking at the polished wooden floor in thought. She had to tell the Devil that he was about to have a baby. He was going to be a father. "You're right, I will tell him tonight."

Chloe was standing there in the elevator when the doors opened she let out a nervous blow. Her heart rate increases and her palm becomes sweaty. Maybe she was scared but of what.

Lucifer comes from the balcony with a glass of liquor in hand, Shirtless with his robe and pajama pants on. "Detective didn't expect you to be here so late– unless…"

"Lucifer this is serious."

Lucifer's smile drops, he throws the rest of his drink down his throat placing the glass on the bar. He walks closer to the Detective waiting.

"Well, spit it out defective. What am i–"

"I'm pregnant."

She blurted out, she closed her eyes waiting for an acknowledgment. She felt her eyes water as the silence continued. Without opening her eyes she turns around. "You know what, I'll just leave-"

As she turned she was pulled back to her position. She could feel his eyes on her. "Open your eyes, Chloe."

Chloe.

'He said my name…' she thought

She opened her, her tears falling as a result. She looked up at his calm face. "You aren't mad?" She said sadly.

"Why would I be. I'm surprised and shocked. And utterly feeling my stress way on me but I am not mad."

That night ended well, the two talked about what they would do and how they handle this. But unknowingly they weren't alone.
