"I activate the Magic Card: Fusion Deployment! I can reveal a Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck. Afterward, I can Special Summon one of the listed materials in my field! I choose Elemental HERO Brave Neos, so I Special Summon Elemental HERO Neos from my deck!" A teenage girl, with white hair that matched her jacket and black short shorts. She inserts her Magic Card into her Duel Disk, shaking the bracelet around her arm violently.

"I don't think that's going to work for you, Chiaki! Number 38: Hope Harbinger Titanic Galaxy's monster effect! Once per turn, when you activate a Magic Card or an effect, I can negate the card and turn it for an Overlay Unit for this monster! Scale Storm of Annihilation!" A teenage boy straightens his black shirt and grey jacket while also readjusting his brown pants. He prepares for his next strike against his opponent. The titanic dragon shoots a blue beam at the card, before pulling it towards it as it becomes a yellow orb around it. He gives his opponent a hand motion to pass their card over to him.

Chiaki grunts as she takes the card from her duel disk and tosses it over to the boy. She takes a minute to process her next move. A group of kids stood at the sidelines of the duel, seemingly cheering for the girl to win. "I activate the magic card: Neos Fusion! I can send materials from my hand, field, or deck to the graveyard to perform a Fusion Summon! I send Elemental HERO Neos and Elemental HERO Shadow Mist! Otherworldly defender of Justice, Hero that fights in the shadows! Combine your power in the stars! Fusion Summon! Come forth, Otherworldly Hero of Potential! Elemental HERO Brave Neos! (Lv 7, 2500 ATK)"

A stronger version of Neos appears from the portal, landing in front of Chiaki posing like how a hero would in an action movie. The boy looks up at it, almost smiling at what he faced. However, he shakes his head slowly. "Chiaki. I'm not sure, but I believe that your monster seems to have less attack than my Xyz Monster!"

"A shame that you dare see it like that, Yu! Shadow Mist's effect! I get to add Mask Change from my deck to my hand when it is sent to the Graveyard! Battle! Elemental HERO Brave Neos attacks Hope Harbinger Titanic Galaxy! Cosmo Blast!" Neos jumps into the air, gathering energy between two arms. After charging, it shoots the blue beam towards the dragon who counters with its own beam. "At this time, I activate the effect of Elemental HERO Honest Neos! By discarding this card, my HERO gains 2500 ATK until the end of this turn! Shining Boost! (2500 → 5000 ATK)"

"So that's your strategy?! Welp I got nothing." Yu grunts as the Hope Harbinger takes the blast, getting destroyed easily.

Yu - LP 4000 → 2000

"I set a card facedown and end my turn! At this time, Elemental HERO Brave Neos' ATK returns back to its original value. (5000 → 2500 Atk) Come on, Yu! You said that you weren't going to pull any punches today!" Chiaki calls out, taunting her opponent with a small smirk on her face.

"Oh?! You want me to not pull any punches? Fine! My turn!" Yu draws his card with precision, not hesitating at all in what he needs to ensure victory. "I summon Galaxy-Eyes Cloudragon! (Lv 1, 300 ATK)"

"Huh? That thing is a baby! It can't do anything!" One of the kids declared out from the sidelines.

"Did Yu not draw anything to help him?" Another kid asks looking to see that Yu's expression did not waver at all from earlier.

"Galaxy-Eyes Clouddragon's effect! I can Tribute this card, to Special Summon a "Galaxy-Eyes" monster from my Graveyard! I choose, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon! (Lv 8, 3000 Atk) Secondly, I activate the Magic Card: Monster Reborn! I choose to bring back, Guardian of Order!" Two high-leveled monsters slowly descend on your field in a manner of only two cards that left the kids bewildered. Yu looks at his cards before grabbing both cards before chanting for the summon of his monster. "I Overlay the Level 8 Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon and Level 8 Guardian of Order! Darkness and light wandering in the universe. Sorrowful Dragon who sleeps in the interstice. Its power of creating opens the door of the truth! Xyz Summon! Appear! Galactic Ultimate Dragon, Number 62! Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon! (Rank 8, 4000 ATK)"

"So your ace monster is finally here?" The dragon slowly descends from the portal in front of everyone, with Chiaki gritting her teeth in frustration to the stakes that she faced.

"Battle. Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon attacks Elemental HERO Brave Neos! Eternity Photon Stream!" The Xyz Monster shoots a similar-looking beam that Hope Harbinger possessed. It engulfs the Hero monster rather easily. "At this point, Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon's monster effect. By using one Overlay Unit, it gains 200 ATK times the total number of ranks on the field."

"The total number of the ranks is 8!" One of the kids in the crowd calls out after counting on their fingers.

"So it gains 1600 ATK! (4000 → 5600 ATK)" The beam gets bigger with how stronger the attack is.

"I activate the effect of Neos Fusion from my Graveyard! By banishing this card from my Graveyard, my Fusion HERO monster cannot be destroyed!" Chiaki said hoping to get another turn for a comeback.

"You'll still take the damage! I activate the Quickplay Magic: Galaxy Shock! My Galaxy monster gains 1500 ATK! (5600 → 7100 ATK)" You said with a smirk on your face, Chiaki's eyes open up wide. The blast engulfs both Neos and Chiaki at the same time.

Chiaki - LP 4000 → 0

The crowd of kids grows silent as they all run over towards Chiaki. She had plopped to the ground, exhausted from the duel not really willing to move from that one spot. Yu makes his way over, as he puts his deck in a deck box and into his bag.

"Dang it, dang it, dang it, DANG IT!" Chiaki exclaims in frustration, sitting up while messing her hair. She looks up at Yu, letting out a sigh as she lets Yu help her up. "I swear, I'm going to beat you one day!"

"You can try Chiaki, but you're a thousand years too early to beat your older brother." Yu lets out a small chuckle before taking a look at his phone. His eyes open wide as he shakes his head. "Alright, kids. It's about time that we all head back to Big Sis Sayo's place."

"Awh!" The kids would all whine in unison. The looks on their faces told it all, they wanted to continue dueling in the courtyard area in the small abandoned parking lot.

"No whining now. It's past curfew as it is. We wouldn't want anything bad to happen now, shall we?" Chiaki squats down to the kid's heights, settling them down with a bright and calm smile on her face. She would pat some of them on the head while giving some comforting words, making small promises about staying later whenever the two weren't as busy. After a good minute, the two start walking through the streets.

"God that's still embarrassing," Yu comments to himself, scratching the back of his head.

"You really need to get over it. It's just an expression for the kids." Chiaki looks around the street, occasionally glancing at the few stores.

"Easy for you to say. You're younger than them. Growing up, Sayo was the older sister for you and Hina. So of course, you calling her "Big Sis" is something that should come naturally." Yu states, brushing it off with a small bit of frustration.

"They're only older by a month!" A light bicker to really light up the mood. The peaceful calm before the storm.

The group of kids made their way through somewhat crowded streets toward a small house with a white sign with the word "Orphanage" written on it. A teenage girl with long blue hair wearing casual clothes under an apron while "patiently" waiting for the group to show up. She held a small brown package while tapping her foot on the ground in frustration. The look on her face spoke a million words, like spears being stabbed into Yu and Chiaki.

"Hurry on inside! You kids are setting up the table after washing your hands. Afterward, you're all cleaning the dishes!" Sayo exclaims in a strict voice towards the kids. Yu and Chiaki slowly turn around trying to escape the punishment as a pair of hands grab their jackets, pulling them back. "And where do you think the two of you're going?"

"Aheh… Hey, Big Sis! All we can really say is that we're sorry? Like very sorry? You can give us the lecture next time!" Chiaki has a nervous smile on her face while turning over to Sayo. Seeing the serious look on her face struck down on ideas on trying to escape.

"You know that sorry doesn't cut it! What were you two thinking?! Letting the kids stay out this late?! What if something happened?!" Sayo lectured the duo in front of the orphanage with a few of the kids peeking through the windows to see what was going on. She proceeds to rant for another fifteen minutes when the door opens up revealing a girl with short blue hair sticking her head out.

"Hey, Sis! The food is almost ready! Everyone is waiting for you!" The girl calls out, noticing the two people that Sayo was lecturing immediately. She gives a big wave with a bright smile on her face with Yu perking up slightly, something that Chiaki takes to consideration. "Hey! Chiaki! Yu! You two are going to stay for dinner, right? We made curry!"

"In a minute, Hina!" Sayo calls out looking over at the duo, letting out a small sigh of frustration. She pinches the bridge of her nose before turning around. "We'll talk more inside. You two can stay until later, right?"

"No… It shouldn't be a problem." Yu and Chiaki follow Sayo into the building. Yu places his book bag in the dining area before washing up in the bathroom. He makes his way into the kitchen where he sees Hina over at the stove, mixing a massive pot of curry. "How are things going? With the idol group and all of that?"

"It's been bopping recently! The group is going to participate in a tournament for an event that we're performing at. We're really getting popular though Aya is still struggling a little with certain moves and all that." Hina's words were filled with excitement, turning off the stove. She turns her head to Yu, motioning him to help out a little. He complies by keeping a quick look at the food while Hina swiftly checks on the rice cooker. "What about you and Chiaki? You two have been coming here less often these days. Everything is fine, right?"

"It's been okay. I've been preparing for exams recently. Been wanting to get into a good college so I could get into a good high paying job. I kinda wanted to pay your family back for all the years of taking care of me. By helping out here, financially." Yu explains with a simple shrug. A few kids that were with Yu and Chiaki started to come in, putting a halt on the conversation for now. They grabbed a bunch of plates, as they went to Hina and Yuto like how it would be in a cafeteria.

"You don't really need to do that! We're friends, after all! They were happy to have you guys here. It was just the orphanage being the same old as usual!" Hina takes off the apron and hangs it on a hook against the wall. She had a familiar-looking carefree smile on her face, that made Yu smile a little.

"You cannot change my mind on this. It's kinda the reason why I decided to get a place on my own. I didn't want to be a hassle, while still helping out and all that. Though I guess that I've been lacking in the help department." Yu lets out a dry chuckle, folding his arms together. He taps the counter a little, not really able to come up with the words to say.

"Don't be like that! This isn't really your style. Plus don't you think that you're thinking too much about it, already? I know that you're graduating soon, but still. Focus on stuff like that like this and you'll break down without knowing! Chisato tried to think about a bunch of stuff at once and the next thing we knew, she collapsed." Hina said with a small frown on her face looking over at Yu. This was something that she was serious about, a rare sight but one filled with knowledge and wisdom.

"You're right. I'll drop it for now. Though I will try to help out more, okay?" Yu states tapping the counter to emphasize his point. Hina happily agrees with a nod before looking over. "Hey! Want to eat outside? We can see the stars and all that."

"Hmm? Pretty sure that'll be fine. Though we should pocket some napkins first." Hina grabs her necessary items and bolts out of the kitchen without Yu getting another word out. He simply chuckles as he grabs a plate for himself to follow the energetic girl outside.

"So. Did you enjoy your alone time with Hina, hmm?" Chiaki had a smug expression with her and Yu walking home on the streets.

"What on earth are you talking about?" Yu comments, looking over at Chiaki with a confused glance. The way that the girl was acting was making him feel a little uncomfortable.

"Oh, you know exactly what I mean! You and your little crush on Hina! It's so blatant that you could smack it with a spoon! You were so out of it that you basically out of it during Sayo's lecture!" Yu fully stops, taking a few moments to process what Chiaki stated.

"Really? It was THAT obvious? Well… I mean. Hina has to deal it with her fans all the time, so she probably didn't pick it up at all. It's probably the norm for her at this point. Plus since she's an idol, we can't really date without controversy." Yu grunts placing both hands behind the back of his head, stretching as he walked.

"Shame. You do have a point… Though I do feel bad for you, but what can you do when it isn't allowed?" Chiaki reaches the gate of a small apartment complex, taking out a key to unlock the gate and enters in with Yu. "If you kept your relationship hidden well enough, I mean… Nobody would notice at all that you two are dating."

"Enough of it Chiaki. I don't want to talk about it, I just want to go to sleep…" Yu trails off as he finds a package in the front of his apartment house. He looks at it in confusion as he picks it up.

"Did you order something?" Chiaki asks taking a look at the package with Yu.

"No, at least I don't think so. I was about to ask you the same thing actually." Yu examines the small cardboard box to find nothing on it. "There isn't an address where it came from. But it does have my name on it. So I'll take it inside at least."

"Alright! Let's see what the magical package has in store for us!" The duo walks inside the small apartment room and takes a seat at the small table on the ground. Yu opens up the package inside it, revealing a small circular amulet. The amulet held a blue gem that seemed to split into five parts, with four parts surrounding a middle part which was clear in color. "Wow… This amulet is kinda tacky in design. What are you going to do with it?"

"I mean it was meant for me. Might as well wear it." Yu slowly places the amulet over his head. The moment that he puts it on, a sudden burst of bright light surrounds both him and Chiaki out of nowhere. "What the hell?!"

"Yu! What's going on?!" Before the two knew it, the light engulfs them as the two disappear from the apartment room without a single trace.

Wassup my homies! Ladies and Gentlemen! My name is NexusMHX here with a remake of "The Human!" So, this is a special fanfiction in my heart as it was my first fanfiction. However, that was two years ago and the beginning segment was so bad that it makes me want to jump back in time and slap myself for being so bad at writing. But now, I'm going to be pretty damn sure that I know what I'm doing... Ok, I'm going, to be honest. I have no idea in hell what exactly that I'm doing. I hope to get some consultation from you guys on how to improve my writing style so I can make this story really better. However, if you guys read the original one, you guys shouldn't expect a rewrite of the whole thing with just a fresh of paint. It's 100% different. But I will be keeping all of the characters that I have added from previous Yugioh series in. And I'm going to add a few more for two reasons. One, I want to work on multiple decks and I want to do fantasy duels. Secondly, it's because I'm rewatching everything and I just have that urge, but I need to take careful consideration in everything. But for now, thank you so much for watching! If you enjoyed it, please make sure that you follow/favorite/comment for more content. This is NexusMHX signing off! Stay Classy!
