drip, drip, drip
I hear the dripping sound from the ceiling of my cell, forming from the stalactites, and accumulating liquid particles at the tip
drip, drip, drip
And once enough particles accumulate, they drop down, as if aiming for something, trying to change something
drip, drip, drip
But once they drop, it all becomes meaningless, all the accumulated mass, splashes and spreads across the floor, thinning out and being absorbed by the soil, until there isn't even a trace of the droplet remaining
drip, drip, drip
the cycle keeps repeating, as the liquid forms from the stalactites, and disappears into the ground, having accomplished nothing
drip, drip, drip
But I, I accomplished something, I will not be like these nameless droplets, I know I did something meaningful, so I shall not stop, I will search for the truth of this world endlessly
drip, drip, drip
No matter how endlessly I'm taught that I was mistaken, That Illias is the only answer to everything
Even if they tell me that my science is heresy, Even if they tell me that the only truth is Illias, that she made everything, and everything is because of her
Even if they say that I should not have given humans fire
drip, drip, drip
I know I was not mistaken, I know that they will put that knowledge to good use, and I know, that they will learn that there is more knowledge out there, hidden from sight, hidden by the goddess they so revere
And they will seek it, I know they will, for their thirst for knowledge is greater than even mine
drip, drip, drip
And, just like how I experienced her punishment, so will humanity, Illias will punish all who seek the truth, like she did to me
But next time, there will be somebody to stop her, there will be somebody to punish Illias herself for hiding away the truth
I will make sure of it
drip, drip, drip
But it is true that Illias is currently the strongest being in this world, nothing can match her as of now, as her only rival has sealed herself away along with her subordinates
its true, for the creatures of this world, nobody can match Illias, but what about a creature from another world?
drip, drip, drip
To be more precise, another dimension, if I were to be able to find beings from a different dimension than my own, then is it not possible to find somebody stronger than a god itself?
After all, if there are infinite dimensions, then shouldn't it be plausible that there are an infinite amount of creatures out there, infinitely stronger than Illias herself?
The only challenge is to find them, and then bring them here
But soon, even that would be easy
drip, drip
After all, I've been researching the technology to do so for a long time already, I have already seen the ways that the device I have thought of can fail, and the endless amount of countermeasures to fix it has already been implanted in my brain in the countless decades I've been stuck here in my cell
drip, drip
The only thing left to do now, is wait, all I need is one opportunity to get out of this prison, then I can finally put all my ideas into practice, and after then, its only a matter of time
A matter of time until Illias is dethroned, and I am revered as the savior of humanity
drip
And so I stare at the ceiling again, watching the stalactites slowly drip away, until it comes to a halt
"Who is it" I say as a strange magic pulses nearby, which should be impossible as this prison should be sealed by Illias herself, and so I come to a conclusion as I am faced with a little girl in front of me, "has Illias found out about my plans, if so, she must have sent someone to kill me then" I concluded
However, I am soon perplexed by the words coming out of the mouth of the little girl who appeared before me
"hehe, do you want to leave?"
AN:
i know its pretty short, and I might even change some things in here, but here it is
I may make mistakes, please feel free to inform me if you happen to spot any
I also have no intentions of implementing anything from paradox into this story as of right now, so if you say something along the lines of
"in paradox, that actually happens like this", I will probably be fascinated, but it wont make it into the story (I'm already out of my comfort zone by writing this story, I don't wanna try my luck writing something I didn't even experience in game)
Any feedback would be appreciated
And finally, thanks for clicking on this story, and I hope that you will still be here when I eventually make the next chapter
