AN: So this is another test chapter for a series. I've had to revamp the story due to another story following certain story beats I wished to include. This is IzuOcha for now I don't know if it will change. This is a sin of greed Izuku with a twist. He's been alive since the time of Arthur. He uses jokes to mask his pain.

CHAPTER 1

(Izuku POV)

It was that dream again.Like clockwork every few years he dreamed of 'her'. He had just started his journey. Growing up in the streets of Lundun was a terrible way to live. He had to steal and fight just to live. He had heard tales of the waters of life and how they granted eternal life. He figured if his life sucked now he could always just wait and try again in a few decades if he just had that water. So one night he had stolen a horse during the darkest time and went on his way. He had planned his escape for months, he had stolen enough apples to last him a few weeks, he avoided main roads only taking huntting paths and always wore his hood. Being caught with a stolen horse was a death sentence. All he had to go on was the waters were in the west by or on the tallest tree.

"Where the bloody hell is this massive tree. You'd think i'd be able to see it by now?" He had stopped on a hill to survey the surroundings only to see more trees and farms. He pulled out the map he had 'borrowed' from a travelling merchant and crossed off this area as well. The scene changed and it was now nearly six months later. He had survived by hunting the occasional rabbit and helping on a farm for a few days. He stood at the foot of the tallest tree he had ever seen.

"If this isn't the place then I have no clue where it could be." He threw a rope over a branch and hooked it. Setting his hands he started climbing. 'Jeus it feels like I've been climbing for hours.' He later learned he had. The top was nearing and he felt his energy surge.

"FINALLY!" He leaped up at the top. He took in his surroundings and saw a small silver chalice surrounded by water. "There's no way in hell it's that easy." He was right, he always was.

"Indeed it's not that easy." He turned and his heart stopped. In front of him a blonde haired girl with pink cheeks hovered was like an angel. "Hello My name is Elaine and I am the guardian of this sacred water. Why do you seek it?"

With a start he woke up. His sheets were drenched in sweat and from his apartment window he saw the sun rise over the new york skyline. 'Damnit damnit damnit!' Smashing the clock beside his bed he looked at his calendar. It was June, 22 2xxx. "One day Elaine I'll see you again." He went and washed the tears from his face and ate breakfast. A knock on his door sounded followed by the sound of mail being delivered. He went and checked each envelope. Bill, bill, charity, trash,trash , eviction notice, bil… "WHAT!" He read the letter he had forgotten to pay rent so they were evicting him at the end of the week. 'Oh well. Guess I'm moving again. Wonder how Toshi is doing?' He pulled out his phone and looked for his friend. He had meat almost two decades ago Toshinori Yagi or better known as All Might. 'Hmm rumor has it he'll soon begin teaching at UA High. They say Japan is good this time of year… But I haven't aged in millenia… hmmm' He looked in his mirror, he was 15 that fateful day.

"I have an idea." he said out loud to no one in particular. He quickly dug through some old papers and found it, an old email. He quickly composed it saying hi to his old friend and asking if he could do him a favor. He explained that his 'son' Izuku Midoriya was turning 15 and had gotten the idea to go study in Japan and he wanted to know if Toshi could pull a few strings. He hadn't expected a reply so soon but he got one by the evening.

"Greetings Hiashi it is I All Might. It's been so long, old friend, I'd be more than happy to look after young Izuku. It's the least I could do after all those times you pulled my ass out of danger. I can't pull any strings but if his quirk is like yours and he has a just heart like his father he could easily make it into UA. When should I be expecting him?" Hiashi or now Izuku smiled it wouldn't be hard to get a new passport. He knew certain people.

"Quirk huh? Yup he's got mine all right." He thought back to when he was traveling the world around the time they were popping up. He was in Japan and heard of a man giving people with no quirks, quirks so it was just a matter of finding said man and spewing some sob story of being an orphan and how he'd do anything for a quirk. The man felt pity for him and gave him one he had dubbed snatch, it could steal any item from a 15 meter range. All he had to do was deliver some stuff to some people in return. Imagine his surprise when the man started craving more power and became just like those monsters from back in the day.

Over the years he had trained the quirk now he could take strength from people as well or if needed organs and body parts. He emailed his friend that Izuku would be there at the beginning of next week. The rest of the week was calling in favors and drinking till he passed out, he didn't want more dreams.

He was finally on the plain. Unfortunately with his new ID they refused to give him alcohol so he ended up dreaming again.

"You're so stubborn you know it? I keep knocking you off the tree and you keep coming back up here." Elaine scolded him for what seemed like the hundredth time.

"You know you love me." He joked . It wasn't about the water anymore for him it was the girl something about her made him feel at ease. "So I gotta ask what do you do for fun around here?" His smile wasn't it's normal foxy self, more kind and caring.

"I must guard the water but I do have a small garden up here." She spoke, giving him a quizzical look.

"What? You stay up here all by yourself?" He couldn't believe his ears. Such a life seemed devoid of fun.

"I am not allowed to leave. The outside world is forbidden to me. Stories have been told of the guardian of the water so I must stay here." She explained when she noticed his confused look. An idea popped into his head and he couldn't help but smirk. "What?"

"If you can't go to the outside world I'll just have to bring it to you." He ran and swonge from his rope. The scene shifted again. This time they were both climbing up the tree and you could see torches coming through the woods. "Gods I'm so sorry Elaine!" He was terrified they had gone out to a nearby village and some villagers saw her magic and suddenly a mob was forming to 'get the witch.'

"It's not your fault Ban I'm the one who wanted to go. You warned me and I didn't listen." They had reached the top and arrows had begun to fly. "I've had such a wonderful time I don't care if we die as long as I'm with you."

"Don't say that Elaine we'll get through this together!" He had grabbed the water. If they did get away these people didn't deserve it. More arrows were coming now and the tree was burning. He was packing up the books he had brought Elaine when it happened an arrow had found its mark hitting him in the chest. Elaine ran to him only for arrows to hit her back. He still held the water. He knew what he had to do. He helped Elaine up and handed her the chalice. "You have made my life so much better. If it wasn't for you I'd probably be rotting away in a cell. So please take this. I'll be fine. It may take a few decades but i'll find you a...again….in ….another….life." He felt life leaving his body. She took the cup and started drinking and he laid down to pass away knowing he had saved someone. 'This is how it should end for a greedy man like m…' His eyes shot open as she forced the water from her mouth into his.

"Sorry… but… I feel… like you… deserve this more then me for stealing something precious from me… maybe if… we had more time together then… I'll see you… in a few… decades… my lov…" and with that she passed he couldn't believe it, the only good person he had ment. The only person he had loved was gone. It was like something broke inside him that day. He awoke screaming her name. Tears were pouring from his eyes. His heart felt like it was tearing. The flight attendant rushed over to him.

"Sir are you ok?" She looked worried for him. He held up his hand as he caught his breath.

"Sorry, just a nightmare… I'll be fine." That was a lie he'd never be fine.

"Well let me get you some water." The flight attendant walked towards the rear of the plane.

"You lost someone didn't you?" The elderly woman sitting beside him asked with a sorrowful look. He just nodded. "I see they must have been important. When I lost my Mitchell It was like losing a part of myself. I know it hurts now and I'm sorry my quirk can't heal emotional pain it only heals physical injuries. You have a long life ahead of yourself so maybe you'll find another Elaine." The woman was trying to comfort him. He knew it wouldn't work but he still smiled.

"Thanks I'm Izuku Midoriya. I hope you're right." He was handed a cup of water and he started nursing it.

"I'm Chiyo Shuzenji. I'm sure you will." Miss Chiyo said. The rest of the trip was short; those two chatted for a bit. He told her he was staying with his 'dads' friend and planned to go to school. She revealed she was a nurse for a rather big school but wasn't allowed to say it's name and wished him luck. The terminal was crowded as he looked for his friend. That giant bastard shouldn't be too hard to find but he spent a few good minutes looking before he saw a skinny blonde skeleton holding a sign with his 'name' on it.

"Hello I'm Izuku Midoriya." He introduced himself to the lanky fellow.

"Ah hello I'm Toro Yami. I'm Toshi's assistant." Ok what the hell. 'What happened to you Toshi?' He wasn't fooled but he had to act like he was. 'Toro' helped him with his luggage. Izuku was caught up in his thoughts when he ran into someone and was knocked down. He was about to yell at them but he felt the wind grab him and place him back on his feet.

"Sorry for using my quirk on you but you looked like you needed help." That voice. He looked at the person standing before him and felt his breath catch. Other than the brown hair she looked just like her.

'Elaine?'
