Murtagh woke up to a endless red sky in front of him some parts brighter than others due to the bones that went through Thorn's skin. He had slept in late he realized… he touched Thorn's wing as to wake him. Good morning little one.. Why didn't you wake me Thorn? Asked murtagh sleepely. Well you seemed tired and I could spent a little bit more time with you this way before you went into some two legged village again that I can't enter. Murtagh signed but he couldn't blame Thorn; he had to wait almost every day when he went into a village or city. I'm sorry just hold up a bit longer. Soon we will fly far again. Thorn sniffed. I'll hold you to that. Now you should get ready. Murtagh stretched himself out as Thorn opened his wings to show the bright blue sky. He shivered it was a cold morning, he looked around searching for his pack to grab a warm vest. Thorn lifted up his paw to reveal all there luggage including his pack and Thorn's saddle bags. He zipped open the leather pack to reveal some books, his sword zar'oc and some clothes. Putting on his vest he told Thorn "I will be going into Gilead today to talk to our new information source, hopefully I will also be able to buy some food aswell". Thorn turned his head to him looking him in the eyes. "Just make sure to not get into any trouble this time". Murtagh smiled "don't worry I think this one will be a dead end anyway".
Murtagh walked within the crowd of people approaching the gate of gillead hoping not to get noticed by the guards. He had gotten the attention of du vrangr gata's mages last time he went into a village and he would rather avoid that this time. He put on his hood and walked along a group of traders pretending he was traveling with them. But unfortunately, his attempts were in vain because due to bad luck the guard's choose this particular group of traders to do a check up on. "All of you identify yourself and hand in your trading papers". Since Nasuada became queen all traveling traders were required to have trading papers with them, this was so no harmful objects could be smuggled easily from one place to another. Murtagh thought that this rule was a very effective one and gave praise to Nasuada for it, but on this particular morning he cursed it. "You there" one of the guard's pointed at him "come forth". Murtagh clicked with his tongue frustrated, he heard whispering around him from the traders "was he with us all this time?", "I don't recognise him..". Murtagh stepped forward fast, and to make not anyone more suspicious he said "I'm sorry I got caught up in this group, I am not a trader just a normal traveler looking to visit a friend". The guard's looked at him suspiciously "what is your name sir?", "My name is Tornac from Tierm" Murtagh replied removing the hood from his head. "Since that means you do not have any trading papers we would like to inspect your pack sir" replied the guard. Murtagh had taken his sword zar'oc with him this time, he thought it would be good idea cause last time he had to fight a group of man with a fork and he would rather avoid that. He didn't hesitate to take of his pack and give it to the guard however, the guard grabbed the pack from him and while he did Murtagh murmured "slitha" and let the magic take effect. "What was that?" Said the guard eying him, "nothing sir" Murtagh replied. The guard opened the back to see some old books and clothing. The guard grunted, confirming and handed the pack back to Murtagh. "Mister Tornac you are allowed to enter the city as long as you don't cause any trouble", 'I won't sir, thank you". Murtagh slinged the pack back on is back before make his way through the packed traders through the gate. That was a close one he thought, hopefully there wasn't a mage from du vrangr gata nearby that noticed the spell he used to hide zar'oc. Stepping through the gate he looked around carefully, looking if anyone was specifically looking at him. Murtagh signed it seemed he was in luck no one seemed to have noticed. Now where was café the galloping horse.. Murtagh decided to follow the hoard of people that came through the gate, because most people would probably go to the city center and there he needed to be.
