The Hollow Killer

*FLASH*

Dodge.

*FLASH*

Dodge.

*SHING*

Shadow cloak.

*SHING*

Jump then dash through the gap.

*PSHH*

Jump over projectiles. Dash to dodge projectiles.

The fight was harsh, already at its last shell before breaking. The being in front was relentless with its attacks, making moves faster than it can respond to.

Swords forming around its face as it shot them in a circular motion. It dodged them with ease and trepidation, expecting another round of swords. And it came, dodges again, barely missing one by an inch. It almost fell to the heavily formed mist below, already surviving by dodging.

But it regained its footing, holding a weapon in its hand with sureness and fear. This weapon was its most trusted partner throughout its whole adventure and was refined to the best of the Nailsmith's efficiency, the Pure Nail. It was almost over, and it needed a few more hits before the last phase.

After the attack, it launched itself towards the large being and swung at its face numerous times, like it did so much before. It could tell that the attacks were working, the charms had been helpful this far and the attacks were all easier with them.

Mark of Pride, Quick Slash, Unbreakable Strength, Steady Body and Nailmaster's Glory, these were its go-to charms for fights like these. It always liked having a better edged in combat, faster and more reliable.

After a few more slashes, its enemy disappeared in a blink. What followed were more platforms to stand on, reaching to the top.

This was it, the final climax of all its hardships. After it defeated the Radiance, the infection will cease, and the Hollow Knight will no longer be trapped. Hallownest will be safe and it can rest for eternity.

The Void within itself was calling out to it, feeling that it wanted to get out and deal with the Absolute Radiance itself. But pushed it back, knowing that it will deal the final blow itself.

As it jumped, the Mothwing cloak around its body producing white wings, giving it another jump to make the gap. It continued to jump to the top, dodging many of the Radiance's attacks at it.

It had no time to heal, the moment was now. Whether it will deal the final blow, or the Radiance will be something it will not have. After going through so much pain and hardship, enduring the Pantheons and what it offered and what it will accomplish, it pressed on, regardless of injuries.

The mask it had was filled with cracks and missing parts, Void slowly seeped out of them but did little to harm it. Its small body was small and black, dark as the Void it spawned out of.

It… was the Knight of Hallownest. Or Ghost of Hallownest. Or at least, that is what its supposedly sister, Hornet, said to it.

Gender is not something to gloss over.

Shaking away the random thought, the Knight was at the peak of the arena. From there, it fought against the Absolute Radiance. This 'Higher-being' was solely responsible for all the trouble it has done to Hallownest. After seeing firsthand on what it did, the Knight, sure of his objective, needed to kill the Radiance and make the kingdom rest forever.

At the final platform, the godly being revealed themselves to the Knight. Its appearance reminded it of Seer, with its body nearly covered with fur. Replacing its supposed location of arms were many appendages that acted as wings or limbs. On its head was a tri pronged crown that looked like it merged with the being itself.

This was the being that caused it all, and the Knight will be the one to finish it.

At the top, Radiance sent out a bright yellow orb that are homing in close to the Knight. It dodged through it and attacked it with its Pure nail many times before landing. The being teleported to the other side of the arena as it launched the same attack at it. Knight flew over there and attacked again at the defenseless face of the Radiance, not letting up till he had to dodge.

This went on for a short while until…

That final slash. The nail struck one last time as the Radiance staggered from the hit. And this time, the Void broke out of his shell and expanded massively.

The Knight did not know what happened next, but darkness filled its vision momentarily until it saw again. This time, he saw the Radiance being held by the Void, or it, around them.

It did not know why but felt its arm hover over the Radiance's face and using its fingers, opened the hole there and expanded more so than possible. A bright light was shown, likely its weak point and sensitive part of the body.

Seeing the diminutive being before it, what was once the almighty god that held unquestionable power to the small bugs of Hallownest. The being that was solely responsible over the destruction of the kingdom. This 'Higher-being'…

It was… pitiable.

When the final attack dealt its deed, the Radiance bellowed out a shrill cry. It was voiceless but knew that it was there.

Just as the essence were leaked out everywhere, the Radiance.

Was killed.

Silence filled the space that was the arena as the Knight did not know what to do next. The Radiance was gone, supposedly the infection too but what now? But before it could do something, the Void wanted to escape. Not becoming free but escape to the real world and to the surface.

The Knight felt it plummet in the arena it was in, which was the Godhome, and latched into the many bugs in it. It did not know why but felt accepting the Void as part of itself and went with the flow it wanted.

Just as expected, the Void found a way to go out to the world of Hallownest and wreak havoc around them.

Just then, a bright pale light filled the Knight's vision, going so far as to blind it completely. It did not know why but had its suspicions when it gave the Delicate flower to the Godseeker.

Before it could think any longer, the Knight felt the Void sensing danger and converged around its mental mind. It had absorbed the Void completely, feeling it had a reign and control over it.

It wanted to question this predicament, but it will come later. The bright light continued to shine very brightly, as the Knight then felt very nauseating and sick like the infection had infected him. His sense of directions was going haywire, like being thrown around so fast and harsh that it felt like it had died many times.

It had no idea why or how this is done, since the feeling as like a Dreamgate it had on Dirtmouth. But it is not, just much worse.

It went on for a good few seconds before it stopped.

The experience was too much and too painful that the Knight blacked out, feeling the comfort of something weirdly soft.

{-}

The Knight slowly woke up, feeling the remnants of that harsh teleportation rescinding. It had never experienced something like that, perhaps when he got the Vengeful Spirit but that was sudden. This was way too much for the Knight as it did not know where it is.

Looking around the area, it was dark and filled with long fields of grass and tall roots. It reminded it of Greenpath but, it never had these roots before. Walking towards one of them, the Knight held out its long black hand and-

The Knight immediately stopped itself as it saw the long appendage it had. It was dark, pure dark with small appendages at the end and it reached towards its body and there it could see the changes it had. When the Void merged with its collective being, it appears to create a new body for the Knight. From the once small vessel to a medium sized body that was like the Hollow Knight. Perhaps if it found a small body of water, it could see what it looked like. It felt the cloak it had on its back shrunken in size, akin to a scarf or a piece of cloth stuck to him.

Putting away the thought, the Knight touched the tall roots and felt that it was rough. Not only rough, but smooth and had little holes around it. Whatever it was, the Knight knew for certain that it did not belong to Greenpath.

In fact, it was not entirely sure if it was in Greenpath. Or in Hallownest.

Was this the cause of the delicate flower it gave to the Godseeker? If so, then why here? Why not back in the Junk Pit? What connection does this place has to the delicate flower?

These questions swirled in its head, unsure of what to make of this. And like that, it felt something approaching and had the intention to kill.

Dodging at the last second, a large creature destroyed the place where the Knight was last in and made itself known to it.

It was a large wolf, with teeth bared and claws out. The Knight prepared for battle, putting aside the questions it had until the situation was sorted. With one of its new arms, it reached for the Pure nail it had on its back to deal with the beast before it.

Just as the Knight grabbed the familiar but small handle, it drew the beautiful weapon against the beast. But it felt small instead of the small sword it was. Looking at it, the Knight was shocked to see the weapon, had been shrunken to the size of a small knife. The handle was too small to grasp it full and the blade too short to deal any good damage.

The Knight wanted to ask what happened to it, but the beast attacked without a moment's hesitation. It charged headfirst with its teeth ready to sink in the body of it. The Knight disregarded the size and struck, hoping that its charms would give an edge. And it did.

Just as it was about to strike, the nail then doubled in size and struck clean to the beast's head. The force made it slide to the side and crash to the ground.

The Knight was thankful that the charms it had were still useful and charged the downed beast. It was not safe until the beast died in its arms and that's what it did.

The wolf barely had time to recognize the threat until the Knight charged up a Nail Art and used Great Slash. The attack did what it was supposed to, cleaving the wolf into two.

And with that, the threat was dealt with.

The Knight was glad that the fight was over and felt the SOUL within feeling full. Now noticing on how low his health was, the Knight focused the energy to heal himself.

Focus…

Using what it had, the Knight felt the cracks on its mask repairing itself bit by bit until it was done. Thankfully, the reserves it had filled up the bar again and is now full of SOUL.

Now, it was time to leave. The Knight concluded that wherever it was, the area was hostile and filled with beasts like the wolf and it still had no idea where it was.

It needed somewhere to gather its thoughts and find out more of its appearance. Perhaps a landmark? But with how tall these roots are, there was no way to figure out where it wanted to go.

Well, at least there is one option for this. Wandering around.

Picking a direction, perhaps not where the wolf nearly killed it, it stuck to it and used Crystal Heart. Energy formed around the Knight and crystals grew as well. At full power, the Knight dashed through the thick roots and hoped to see where it was.

{-}

Time had passed and the Knight was now sure, it was lost. It was not the first time the Knight was lost in a new area, feeling unruly and out of control and it was sure that it was the last but now, it realized something. Wherever it was, it was huge. So much so that Greenpath paled in comparison. Heck, if Queen's Garden and Greenpath were once whole again, it still wouldn't be enough.

It has dashed through the many roots and grass, not encountering any enemies or beasts it could see. The Knight was glad it didn't have to deal with them and continued its course.

A few moments pass after and the Knight caught something glimmering in its eye, or hole. It stopped the momentum it had and walked to where it last saw it. After pushing or slicing away the little branches and tall grass around it, the Knight saw what shone that light.

A small pond, like the Blue Lake, was there along with a clearing around the body of water. The Knight walked closer to the small lake and took notice of the little creatures around it. They didn't seem to notice it or care at all, but so long as they don't attack then the Knight shall do the same.

The Knight sat at the edge of the water and its clear reflection was shown. Almost like when it saw itself from the black egg in the Abyss, the Knight saw itself as a whole and noticed its difference in an instant.

It was tall, taller than it's base form like the Hollow Knight and its shell seemed to grow in size as well. What was once a blocky structure has now turned into a curved mask and the horns on it has grown longer as well. All in all, the Knight looked like the Hollow Knight if they were to compare the two, the only key difference was it was still considered small to the HK.

The Knight also checked around its new body and they had also grown, to the point where it can control the little appendages around the arm with ease. The cloak around itself was small, only covering the base of the mask and small portion of arms but felt the wings still there.

But what about its nail? Bringing it out, the Knight inspected the weapon and noticed that nothing had changed. It was the still the same intricate and masterfully crafted weapon it always had on itself, but with the new changes and stature the weapon felt like a liability than anything else. Perhaps when it found a nailsmith, they could make it more size appropriate.

Putting away the weapon, the Knight then noticed it can rest here so it checked the charms it had and hoped it was still there.

They were all there, but noticed one missing from the rest. The Grimmchild. While not something to complain about, it wondered why it did not have the charm.

Well, nothing it could do now. The Knight decided to let it be and take in its new appearance and location.

It really wasn't in Hallownest anymore. Afterall, there was no ceiling above itself like the caverns had and the creatures here weren't normal in the kingdom. Even the beast it had killed prior didn't drop any Geo, so the currency it had seemed useless at this point.

Well, perhaps it's a good thing it spent nearly everything on Divine to get its charms.

Seeing no other option, the Knight has decided to let everything be. There was no point speculating on what to do and why it happened. All it knew was that the Radiance had died and the infection was gone.

But still, why did the delicate flower it gave to the Godseeker teleport him and the Void here? If it really did teleport here, then where are the Godseekers since it also took them.

Hanging its head down, the Knight wanted answers but all it did was bring up more questions. This felt like something it should know but there was little to see or do so what does it do.

Well, whatever it may be, it hoped to find answers it wanted. And it was sure it couldn't find anything here. May as well keep exploring, perhaps it may come across some ruins or settlements like Dirtmouth.

Picking itself up, the void within told it something. It was not like a voice or any sort by rather by 'feeling' it. The Knight felt like something or someone was watching it recently but has not made any moves since. Perhaps an enemy that awaits their prey to come closer, like the Fool Eater in Greenpath.

Whoever it was, the Knight wasn't a fool to disregard the presence. So, it challenged the being. Pulling out its nail and held it defiantly against it. Combat has been its strong point and communication a second best.

It appears to work as a large pack of creatures came out of the woods, all baring their sharpened teeth and claws. The critters near the Knight left with the intention to live, making it and the beasts alone.

The Knight assessed the situation it is in and calmly deducted on what to do. The beasts were all coming out in front of it, none on the side or back of it so frontal confrontation it is. The creatures greatly outnumber the Knight, there was no doubt about that so it has to pick its targets carefully unless he dies which is the last thing the Knight wants.

So, with the danger ahead of it, the Knight will have to be careful and ruthless in order to finish this as quickly as it wants. And without hesitation, the Knight charged.

The beasts let loose a large roar against it and all ran toward the Knight with the intention to sink its teeth toward it.

That night, a large-scale massacre of the Danger Beasts near the Capital took place as the screams of each predator filled the starry filled sky.

{-}

Nearest where the Knight was busy killing the predators, there was a large cliff that stuck out for the sheer size of it. And beneath such creation was small building, appeared to be carved from the rocks mad in from the cliff. It was a large building and housed one of the deadliest assassins in the Empire.

Inside, a meeting was held in one of the rooms built inside as 7 people were discussing the large being nearby.

"Anything happened, Lubbock?" A large man with a pompadour hair, wearing a light green armor that hugged comfortly in his body as he asked his teammate.

"Nothing, so far the Danger Beast is still killing the others at the clearing. So far, the Empire hasn't taken notice about it." The teen replied, his green hair shadowing on of his eyes as he wore a light green jacket and a white undershirt.

"Isn't good that the Danger Beast is killing one another?" A purple haired girl with a revealing purple cheongsam and wore glasses on her face. Concern masked her face as who knows what might happen.

"Don't know. All that we know is that one is fighting for dominance over the forest or simply defending itself. Either way, this isn't something we cannot ignore." A short pigtailed girl with pink hair and clothes said to her accomplice. While the idea of Danger Beasts fighting one another is not unheard of, it was still a pain in the ass to deal with the aftermath.

"Mine is right, Sheele." A black-haired girl with striking red eyes and wore a black sailor uniform replied, holding on her left hand was a curved blade she always kept nearby. "If we don't do something fast, then the Empire will take notice and send out soldiers near us."

"I see…" Sheele, the girl in purple replied. "It really is an inconvenience to us."

"Yeah, so what should we do, Boss?" The large man turned to another individual sitting closeby. It was a woman, with black clothes and silver hair. She had a robotic arm on her left side and wore an eyepatch to cover the scar there.

The woman, who is the boss of the group, let out a smoke as she thought up a plan to figure out what to do with the new Danger Beast. For all they know, it could be a humanoid Teigu in disguise.

But know, they need to snuff out the large noise coming from their backyard and be in complete silence once more.

"I think you know what should be done, Bulat." The woman replied to the large man, as he smirked at her.

The woman stood up from her seat and let out her loud voice, to command these assassins and soldiers.

"Night Raid, your job for tonight; Is to snuff out the large gathering of danger Beasts in the area. We cannot let the Empire know our location so our time is crucial right now! Now go and let death cower against you all."

The group let out a small smirk on the faces as they all nodded with bloodlust rolling off of them.

"Yes, Boss!"

{-}

And that ends the prologue for the Hollow Killer.

What? You want me to say something?...

Alright, I guess.

I suppose I should start as to why I made this story. Well, I noticed that there was a lack of Hollow Knight stories here and there so I decided to make one like this. Hopefully it will catch on and others will make more.

As to why I chose Akame Ga Kill, well I thought the Knight would fit it well with the blood thirsty world there. I mean, unless you want to live life ignorant of dangers past the wall then go read a RWBY story.

Anyway, hope you like this story and I'll try my best to keep it up.

P.S: I'm looking for a Beta-Reader for these stories.
