I keep getting ideas for future chapters but they require slightly different storylines so I thought I would write a prologue to get it all sorted out now. You don't have to read this bit but it might help parts of the story to make more sense. Thanks for reading in advance!
Rory Gilmore - Raised out of Hartford Society until attending Chilton since then Friday night dinners have become a regular occurrence. Thanks to these Friday night dinners Rory now has a better relationship with her Maternal grandparents. Since stealing the yacht and becoming a member of the DAR she had been attending more of the grand gatherings with Logan as her escort. She doesn't do planning as much only when her workload is light or school is out. She is partly back in society to better understand what it's like with money getting help from Richard. However she is still the small town girl at heart and hates big gestures when they are unnecessary sometimes she has trouble remembering how much money they have. Since the scandal that was her 22 years ago the gossip has been laid in a grave (this will come up soon) everyone has also forgotten who her father is which she is thankful for as they are deemed royalty in the Hartford circle their wealth coming from fame and old money. Also she never slept with Dean or got together with Jess as her mother liked Luke and it would of been weird. She regularly calls Luke dad but Luke still feels most natural. Logan is the love of her life.
Logan Huntzberger - Since the awful Dinner he and Rory had with his parents last year he doesn't think of himself as a Huntzberger in the same way but he is still going to takeover the company. Due to Rory he has gotten out of his old ways and settled down more he worked hard in school graduating with top grades. He used to write more in the Yale paper under a pen name to see if his parents would care about Liam Farrington (They haven't yet). He never cheated on Rory with the bridesmaids and they have never broken up. They are often annoyed because the papers see them as a power couple where they want to hide in their own bubble. He doesn't know that Rory is a Hayden but he knows that she knows Chris Hayden that fact just never pieced together in his brain however Hayden or not that has never changed they way he sees Rory. Rory is the love of his life
Lorelai Gilmore-Danes - After the yacht incident and talking to Rory more she became more open to the idea that Logan might be good for her. She and Logan have become friends over time coming to see each other similar to themselves. She struggles sometimes seeing Rory get on so well with her parents but understands with the amount of money she's going to be responsible for. It would be her as well but she has been adamant that she doesn't want it or need it. Years of Friday night dinners have allowed her to see her parents side of things regarding Rory and parts of her childhood. Her parents made more effort to get to know the real Lorelai Gilmore and now have a much more appropriate relationship she no longer dreads dinners. The dragonfly is up and running, it quickly became one of the most loved inns to visit in the whole of the US. She has so much business she is thinking of expanding to another location. Her and Luke worked on their communication issues and are stronger than ever they are married. April is around and she sees her as her daughter as well. she kept her first name for her parents sake
Luke Danes-Gilmore - Luke is Rorys adoptive dad he has been since a week after his and Lorelai's honeymoon. April is his daughter he told Lorelai when he first found out. They got joint custody with Anna. During the school year April comes and lives with them. He also took lorelais last name but after his first name to be symbol of his love for Lorelai taking the saying till death do us part literally. He still won't franchise the diner but business is booming thanks to the inn. He gets along with Richard and Emily Gilmore and regularly attends the dinners. He and Richard are friends often talking business involving Logan when he can make it. He lets Lorelai in especially on his dark day.
April - During the school year she lives with her dad and step mom after struggling to adjust to life in New Mexico. She does incredibly well in school and has a scholarship for Chilton next year.(A reporter was at a science competition where she won top prize which caught the eye of Headmaster Charleston he did digging decided to offer her a place for the start of high school should she want it). April stays with her mom over the breaks unless something comes up which hasn't happened yet.
Anna Nardini - After talking more with Luke she sorted out terms for April to attend school back home. She tried to zone Luke out worried that April would like him more than her. Luke fought for custody with Lorelai, he won. Eventually Lorelai talked to her about her experience raising Rory years ago when Chris had Sherry she saw how she was worried for nothing and relaxed around Lorelai. She plans to only live in New Mexico until her mother passes because she is missing April. At Christmas she goes to Stars Hollow instead so that April can celebrate Christmas with both her parents after hearing Rorys wish from when she was younger.
Luke's dark day - He and Lorelai visit his parents graves in the morning, then they make a stop to her family's crypt to pay respects to people in their lives that have passed. They always take a week off work. It was during one of this weeks Lorelai told Luke that she knew his father on some level for 3 years when she first moved to the hollow. They spend time remembering the past and telling silly stories of things that their loved ones have done or things involving them choosing to on,y cherish the good not the bad.
Richard Emily Gilmore - they have become more understanding towards the life that Lorelai wants and after spending a few days with her and Luke in Stars Hollow they have seen how it suits her. Richard loves Luke after hearing his life story one day at dinner impressed on his finances. They both love Logan and have been like the parents he wished he had once getting to know them and the sex thing was behind them. Richard figured out who Liam was and stores both Rorys articles and Logan's. Friday night dinners ave allowed them a closer view into Lorelai and Rorys lives. Eventually the ice thawed and fights are minimal bonding has happened they both have much better relationships with their loved ones. Richard did retire but grew bored so he created a new successful company that now makes more money than the one he worked of ever did. Emily is still a part of the DAR. After talking to Rory about the help she hires she hired a few people that were of a young age and has taught them how she wants things done with Lorelai telling her mother of her time as a maid to better understand why they were uncomfortable of the endless streams of help she had.
Honor Huntzberger- Honor married Josh and they now have a daughter called Gracie she is 6 months old. Honor and Logan have a weirdly close sibling bond because of their childhood like Rory and her mom. Rory and Honor are really close friends however Rory never lets her drive when they are together.
Mr Mrs Huntzberger- They don't talk to their children much when there isn't a need too. They were partly cut of their children's lives after the blowup at dinner last year. Mitchum is still handing the company to Logan but is annoyed that he never seemed to write much for the Yale Daily News never figuring out who Liam was and how he always had an article a week. They still think that Rory isn't good enough for Logan from the way she was raised never comprehending who her dad is. Mitchum is willing to make some form of peace but Shira is still against the match.
Elias Huntzberger- He was also partly cutout of his grandchildren's lives until 6 months ago when he saw Rory and Logan at a society party. It was there that he saw how similar their relationship is to that of his Louise. Since then he has made an effort to be in his grandchildren's lives. Logan has confessed he wrote under a pen name during his time at the daily news and he still uses that name for anything he gets published stating how he hoped maybe his dad might take interest in liams writing and no longer see him as a failure. He has come to know the real Gilmores as well as josh. He has become what Strobe should have been for Rory. Mitchum and Shira don't know he has made amends with Logan and Rory as well as Honor. Especially the fact that he supports the relationship with open arms
Chris Hayden - Him and Lorelai never happened. He has made an effort to be a better dad to Rory improving their relationship. He has GiGi but never married Sherry.
Mrs Hayden - After her husbands sudden death she reflects on everything she has missed out on with Rory only further proven with GiGi. She got Chris to tell her somethings about Rory and has been trying to decide if she should reach out and make long overdue amends
Mia - Mia sold the independence inn after a fire however she made a promise to visit Lorelai and Rory more often than before now at least once a month she made an excuse and made the trip to Stars Hollow for a week to see her girls
What if Rory and Logan are sickly in love? How will they handle hate from people? This is them living their lives partway and after season 7
