T: Hi guys, it's been a bit I know but life happens, hopefully it will give us a break and let us get back to consistantly doing this again
M: So this story is going to be a bit out of our ordinary stories, we usually stay in our own version of iCarly but this is an different universe we're visiting so hopefully you will enjoy

Sam bursts through the door of her small one bedroom apartment, slamming the door shut and locking it before she leans her head against the door, her eyes stinging as she could feel tears forming but she fights them off.
"I hate this so much" she says to herself, cursing herself silently as she knew she was never one to shed tears over anything, it just wasn't her way but this instance, she wasn't sure if she could keep everything in.
Sam walks into her bedroom and throws herself onto her bed, not even bothering kicking off her muddy shoes and buries her face in her pillow and screams, silently being very happy she had no roommates, then she turns on her back and looks up at the ceiling fan as it slowly turned.
"You're the only one that can do this to me.. and I hate it" she says softly as she thinks about the events of the past 2 months...

Sam kicks the car warehouse door open and walks outside "Damn it feels good to have a break while the sun is still out" she says as she looks up and lets the sun hit her face, two others following behind her
"Yea but it sucks now because we won't get our next one for another 4 hours" the 2nd blonde says in disgust
"Tay just take it in stride, who knows, if the arm is completely broken maybe we'll get out early" the brunette says trying to cheer her girlfriend up
"Yea, listen to Mandy, let's just sit back and enjoy the sun before we go back and suffer in weld dust" Sam say as she sits on a wooden crate stand and lays back, her dreads spreading out randomly behind her
"I don't see how you can stand those, they have to itch or something right?" Mandy asks
"If you take care of them they don't" comes a male voice from behind the two girls
"Hey Dave your area got an early break too?" Sam says with a smirk
"Nah I was just bored" Dave returns with a chuckle
"You're going to get fired if you let the line go down again Dave, our Super said so" Mandy says sternly
"Psh they've been trying to fire me ever since I started, they haven't been able to keep me out yet" Dave smirks
"The only reason you didn't stay gone last year was because Super didn't file the paper work right" Tay retorts
"Hush blondie" Dave waves off Tay then goes and sits next to Sam "So dread, what are we doing this weekend?"
"You'll be getting your teeth fixed if you keep calling me that Dave, you know I don't like it" Sam sits up
"That's why I still do" Dave laughs "But seriously what are we doing"
"I don't know, why don't we hit up the park, I've been having an itch to go throw" Sam says as she stretches her arm
"You always say that" Mandy mentions
"Can you blame me? The hours we work we have no time to go during the week and we've been working Saturday's like crazy lately and no one wants to go on Sunday because we're exhausted.. we have a full weekend this time" Sam retorts
"If the greedy assholes wouldn't want to do so much extra work we'd be able to enjoy our days off" Tay adds
"Taylor language" Mandy swats the back of Tay's head softly
"Ooh get her apache" Dave chuckles
"Shut it Dave" Taylor replies
"Make me" Dave sticks his tongue out
"Dave don't entice her" Mandy says sternly to Dave
"She knows I'm just playing" Dave laughs
"Yea you better, or else.. pop, pop" Tay puts her fists up and does a shadow 1, 2 punch
"Taylor"
Sam just smirks as her 3 friends argued then she feels her phone vibrate and she opens it up and sees a message from a phone number she didn't have saved in her phone but for some reason she felt like she remembered it
"Hey long time no talk"
"Where do I know that from?" Sam thinks for a moment then her eyes widen and she replies
"Carly?"
"Yup :)"
"Wow how long has it been like.. almost 8 years"
"Yea it's been a while.. how have you been? Not in jail I hope"
"Carls you know me better than that"
"Exactly..."
"... No I haven't been in jail.. heck I haven't had a run in with a cop in like.. 5 years"
"Good, keep it that way"
"Yea yea lol"
"So what are you up to?"
"Actually.. I'm at work, I'm at the car factory just outside of Seattle"
"Wait you're back in Seattle? I thought you went to LA, you were doing a babysitting gig with that redhead girl"
"Yea well mom started having health issues so I decided to move back and help take care of her.. she's doing a lot better now though, she stopped drinking, that was a big part of her issues, she's actually back on her own but I got a small place near by"
"Oh wow, I'm glad she's doing better"
"Yea me too.. she a much different person when she's not drinking lol"
Sam didn't realize how big of a smile she had on her face since she started the conversation with Carly but Dave had and now he was standing over her shoulder
"Oooh who you talking to? Got a new girl in your life?" Dave teases her
"Shove it Dave" she pushes him away
"Sammie's got a girlfriend, Sammie's got a girlfriend" Dave teases more
"What? No way, Sam never talks to other girls besides us" Tay says as she comes over to look at Sam's phone but she pulls it away
"One I talk to plenty of girls outside of work, and two no she's not a girlfriend.. she's an old friend from highschool" Sam defends herself
"Oooh and old flame rekindling?" Dave smirks
"No.. just a really.. really good friend.. best friend actually" Sam says softly, a smile coming across her face but she tries to hide it
"Ooh one you wish would have been an old flame" Tay smirks
"What? No it's not like that" Sam defends, not realizing she was blushing slightly and Tay's eyes widen
"Oh my god it is! You're blushing, you never blush" Tay says excitedly
"I am not.. it's just hot out here and I burn easily"
"Ok that's enough you two, we gotta get back to work" Mandy says, grabbing her girlfriend's arm and tugging her towards the door "You too Dave, you don't need to be getting in trouble again"
"What? I got plently of time, I..." Dave gets interrupted by someone yelling for him "Shit, on my way Sup!" Dave says as he rushes back inside, leaving Sam outside by herself
"Idiots" Sam shakes her head then feels her phone buzz and she looks down seeing a few more messages from Carly
"So do you have plans this weekend?"
"Sam?"
"You must have went back to work, just text me when you get a chance"
"Shit" Sam panics then starts typing
"Hey sorry, no not yet, got interrupted by some work friends, I don't have any plans this weekend, why? Oh and where are you deployed now?"
"Actually I was medically discharged 2 years ago, I just moved back to Seattle last year"
"What? No way, and you never said anything?"
"Yea I know.. I kind of figured you had a different number by now but today I was bored so I figured just give it a try and hope someone else hadn't picked up your number lol"
"Nope still the same.. as is yours.. which surprises me with as many phones as you went through during highschool lol"
"Shut up :P"
"Yo Sam you got stuff to do!" Taylor pokes her head out the door and yells at Sam
"Coming!" Sam yells back then types really fast
"Hey my break is over, I'll try to text more later, but we should try to go get lunch or something Saturday and catch up"
"I'd like that :) you'll be able to meet my daughter too"
Sam's eyes widen
"What? No way you have a kid?"
"Yep :)"
"Wait.. is that dude you were dating the last time I came to visit her dad?"
"... Sadly yes"
"Uh oh... I take it that means you two aren't together anymore"
"You would be right"
"Carls I'm sorry"
"It's all good, I got a kickass daughter out of it"
"If she's anything like you I can't wait to meet her :)"
"Aww :) Ok go to work, we can talk later"
"Talk to you later cupcake"
Sam looks at her phone for a moment before smiling as she saves the number and reenters Carly's name into her phone then goes to put her phone back into her pocket but it buzzes again and she looks and smiles again
"Hey babe, how's work?"
"Slow actually, hoping to get out early, what are you up to?"
"Not much, thinking about you 3"
"Aww you're cute, hey I need to tell you something"
"What's that?"
"An old friend from highschool got a hold of me today, so I'm going to catch up with her this weekend"
"Her?"
"Yes babe, my friend is a girl, her name is Carly, do you remember I told you I did a webshow when I was younger? That was my co-star"
"Ooh ok"
"Is there a problem?"
"No not at all"
"Mik, are you jealous?"
"No, not at all, just remember I love you 3 Go have fun with your friend"
"I love you too.. ok I have to go back to work, I'll call you later ok"
"Ok babe, don't work too hard"
"I never do lol"
Sam smiles then puts her phone back in her pocket then heads back inside
