A/N:

All I can say is that I cried while writing this, I'm sorry, and I will be giving free hugs at the end.

Since they were children, Theo was there whenever Draco needed someone.

One summer night after their third year, Lucius came home sloshed and lost his temper worse than he had ever before. The two of them hid in the alcoves, holding each other as they silently cried, listening to his mother whimpers and cries of no more. Each night for the remainder of the summer, they stayed hidden while listening to Narcissa's screams that echoed throughout the Manor halls. A sound that will haunt them endlessly.

So, when Draco stood up to Lucius the following summer, he took Narcissa's brutal beating. And of course, Theo was there to tend to his wounds. Tucking Draco close to his chest, with his legs draped over his own, he held the blonde tight while begging him to remain calm and prayed to the Gods to help take away his pain.

For the remainder of the night and any hard nights that followed, the pair of boys found themselves falling asleep in each other's arms. Draco was always seeking out love and comfort as he would climb across Theo's lap, snuggling into the crook of his neck, and swallowing deep breaths of Theo's intoxicating scent to calm him. Theo always let him, of course, for the reason that he was seeking comfort from his loneliness.

When Narcissa passed while they were attending their fifth year, Draco sought out comfort elsewhere. Theo stood in the shadows as he watched his best friend bury himself in a new witch every night. Each notch he added to his bedpost did nothing to cure him of his self-harming depression. Feeling helpless and brokenhearted, Theo watched his friend drift further into the darkness, unable to help with any of the pain.

During their seventh-year spring holiday, Draco found his way back into his arms. Lucius had sent a letter to Draco telling him about his family duties awaiting him back home. Watching Draco's despair as he begged Theo to hold him, he climbed into bed to scoop up the broken man and drag his limbs over himself like he had done countless times when they were young.

Even though it had been years since he sought out comfort from his friend, Draco felt like he was right at home. Both silently cried holding onto one another, never wanting to let go. Theo traced circles over Draco's back and placed comforting kisses on his head encouraging him to use him to claim all of the comforts he needed.

Theo realized he would do anything for this man—his best friend, his dragon.

Both were completely absorbed with the feeling of being held in each other's arms. Eventually, when Draco attempted to shift away, Theo's lungs tightened while he gasped for oxygen as they slowly twisted their bodies apart. Draco hesitated and lingered dangerously close—staying above him—watching Theo's reaction with his mesmerizing grey eyes. And at that moment, Theo prayed he would give in to become his forever.

A moment of bravery swept over them both as they closed in on each other's lips, embracing the unbearable tension that stirred between them. Theo gripped the nape of Draco's neck to bring him in closer, feeling his platinum silk brush against the burning skin of his hand with each squeeze. All sense of control vanished when Theo flipped them, pinning Draco under his hard body. Whimpers escaped his mouth as Draco's firm hand seized his painfully hard erection.

Their lips swelled with each desperate clash. Their tongues danced freely with one another. It felt like nothing either of them could imagine. But just like that, the moment was gone as someone began calling down the stairs for them. They toppled back from each other's grip, nearly falling off the bed, panting and gasping for air. That night as they laid in their own beds, a vow of silence was given after the blonde explained this could never happen again.

Draco was promised to another, a beautiful witch, and their wedding would be that summer.

It was a gloomy day in August, one filled with overcast and rain. Theo found himself sitting in the gardens of Malfoy Manor, begging Draco with his eyes not to go through with his wedding the following day. He tried to be a good supportive friend but he knew Draco didn't belong with Astoria. Draco's heart was his, even if they couldn't be together.

As Draco attempted to hide away, running from this new kind of pain, Theo followed him down to the stream at the end of the Malfoy woods. They had hoped that this moment alone would help calm them before the wedding chaos began.

It was there in the woods, under the cover of the trees, where Theo pinned his best friend against the biggest Redwood tree. His rough hands roamed over his body as he kissed him desperately, knowing there wasn't much time left before someone came looking for them. They both needed this feeling— this release— to move on and say their final goodbye.

Both ripped apart the other's clothing in an attempt to seek forgiveness. Theo knew what they both needed, claiming charge of the situation as crushed his best friend against the massive tree, forcing him to grip it for support. Theo sought out Dracos confirmation— ensuring this is what they both wanted. With the whimpers of agreement seeping from his dragon, he wandlessly cast a cleansing charm before a lubricating one.

Draco moaned as Theo dipped his long thick fingers into his pure and puckering rosebud. He watched as his friend arched back with pleasure, allowing Theo to take this precious gift.

Theo asked one last time between Draco's moans of approval if the man was sure he wanted him. Jolts of electricity danced across their joined bodies as Theo rubbed his erection between Draco's rounded cheeks. The blonde lowered himself down, to present himself further, as he begged Theo to take him. Hungry and desperate, Theo penetrated his friend, feeling his self-control diminish as he bottomed out within him.

Allowing a moment for his dragon to adjust to the intrusion, Theo felt how dangerously close to coming undone too quickly. Only a few moments pass before Draco begins begging and pleading for Theo to start moving. His whines and whimpers became jagged. In an attempt to regain control, Theo captured Draco's mouth with one hand to silence him as the other braced his abs for support. He lifted his new lover's body into his, asking him to release his control.

The beautiful noises each man had made vibrated around them. Draco's painfully hard cock dripped with a constant flow of need as it bounced with every thrust. The slapping of Theo's bollocks on his skin set up a beat for everyone to hear all while Draco sang out muffled cries—begging for release—each time Theo's length pounded into his spongy sweet spot.

Both climbed higher and higher as they raced to the end. Theo begged him to come before he bit down in the crook of Draco's neck, causing him to roar with pleasure. Their orgasms were ripped from their bodies as they both screamed I'm coming.

Draco's hot seed watered the tree while Theo's trailed out of him.

They stood there joined for a moment, catching their breath, before Theo stood back and slipped out of him. Neither felt guilty as they dressed quickly.

The two of them spent the rest of the day together, settling the last-minute wedding preparations. When it was time to turn in they laid awake in bed holding onto one another for the final time. Each man placed kisses on every inch of the other's bare skin.

They both knew they couldn't end up in each other's arms again after tonight, but saying goodbye to this feeling of being at home was extremely painful.

In the morning when they woke tangled in each other's arms, Theo agreed to help Draco carefully apply bruise paste and concealment charms to help hide his fresh bruises and teeth marks.

When Draco and Astoria stood in front of their family and friends and said 'I do', Theo smiled sadly before apparating away.

He stood there alone, hidden in his new house on the other side of the world, praying to the Gods asking to give his best friend the strength to fall in love with his new wife. It was the only gift Theo could offer him after asking them for his own peace.

Theo knew that after their goodbye in the woods, there could be no one else again.

For Theo, he would die alone and still loving his broken dragon.

*hugs*

Hopefully, you don't hate me too much.

Extra shout-outs go to Sharon. I'm sorry you had to deal with all my video calls and crying as I wrote this. I love you!
