So its been a while since I actually wrote a story so forgive me if I'm a bit rusty. Also my first time writing a fanfic where its a reader insert or perspective, IDK. Not sure how far I'll get with this but I think its worth a try. Its based on the upcoming game, Security Breach. However, details will be changed for this story and some elements added will be from past games and small information from the book series, not the whole thing in general. Hope you guys enjoy. I would appreciate feedbacks and comments as that may help me improve a bit on the writing.

"Why am I here?"

"Why did I come to this place?"

These were the questions that I had thought to myself. Of course, there was no definitive answer. Nor did I really expected one either. Regardless, I knew one thing and one thing alone; something terrible was happening. Here I was, inside what appeared to be a small storage room, wondering how I even got here. It was way past closing hours at the Mega Pizzaplex and security was definitely on high alert. I opened the door a crack and took a peek out to see what was going on. Security bots, along with the three Glamrock Animatronics, Montgomery, Roxanne, and Chica were, for a lack of better word, on the hunt. I wasn't really sure, but it kind of looked like they were searching for something or someone.

I began recollecting what had happened today. I, a guy in their early 20's, decided to go to the Pizzaplex that everyone kept talking about, both at my low wage job as well as on the train ride home. I knew a bit about the company, Fazbear's Entertainment. Lets be frank. They were a sketchy company. Never once had I ever entered any of their establishments but I did look up articles on the computer and heard rumors about the missing children incident, quirky animatronics, night guards that would mysteriously vanish, foul odor, etc. I ultimately ended up deciding to go there to see what all the excitement was all about. I wore my typical outfit: Long sleeve hoodie, medium length grey shorts, and a pair of black sneakers with white short socks. The workers there probably found it odd for an adult to enter a place intended for families and kids all by themselves. I will have to admit and give credit where it was due; the place was spectacular. Decked out with many stores, rides, arcades and food courts on a three-floored building, the Pizzaplex was huge and magical. What was even more impressive was how they incorporated the 80's look in a futuristic setting.

Of course, the biggest attraction was the Glamrock Animatronics: a set of four advanced robots designed to entertain kids. There was Montgomery Gator, Roxanne Wolf, Chica the Chicken, and the leader and face of the company, Freddy Fazbear. Out of all of them, Freddy was probably my favorite right on the spot. Unlike previous versions of Freddy, at least from photos on the Internet I saw, this one was designed with a more "broad" build, being slimmed yet muscular (if that makes sense). He was designed with blue face paint, a lightning symbol on his chest, and red shoulder pads. He still had the top hat, bowtie and microphone, but this version screamed rejuvenation. His voice was calm and soothing but also held such an authoritative and proud tone.

It was at the stage where it all happened. I was at the back of the crowd while the band performed on floating platforms. Freddy himself had such a great singing voice. It wasn't at all boring and somehow managed to mix heavy and soft rock. He was also a bit sly too, looking up at the camera and giving a toothy grin and eye wink, which was broadcast onto a large screen. Suddenly, during their show each of them began to glitch out. At first, it was just their voice box. It was barely noticeable and quite minor, though somehow I picked it up rather quickly. But near the ending of the show, thats where it REALLY fell through. Each and every one of them began to glitch out of control. Their limbs and eyes twitched violently until they fell one by one. Freddy was the last one standing and it even looked like he was struggling, trying to maintain his composure, but failed and fell hard on the floor, dropping his microphone in the process. Everyone stood silent, even me. Then, out of nowhere, this loud ringing sound began to echo in my head. It was unbearable, even painful. I didn't scream or yell, the pain prevented me from making any kind of noise. A voice spewed out too.

"Obey me...obey me...obey me..."

Everything around me began to spin out of control. Everyone was so focused on the Glamrocks on stage that nobody noticed anything behind them. My vision was blurry. I was loosing conciousness and stumbled backwards. The only thing I felt was someone catching me from behind. I looked up and only saw golden eyes before I completely blacked out.

That's where my recollection ends. I looked at my watch and noted that it was past 12pm. Why was I still here I had no clue. I can only assume that either someone hid me in here to keep me safe from them or wanted me trapped in this place. Either way, I needed to find a way out and fast. I gathered myself a bit and inhailed a bit before slowly opening the door. I looked around but didn't see anyone. I took my chance and slowly walked out.

What must've been only a few minutes kind of felt like hours. Staying hidden while navigating the area looking for a way out was difficult, especially with a lot of pursuers everywhere. The front entrances were completely gated and probably wont open until the morning. What was worse was I stumbled upon a strange woman in a rabbit costume. She was skipping around the area, calling out someone's name. Gregory, was it? Sounds like a child. She also said something about his friends being with her. There must've been a few kids trapped here as well. That's not good. Wasn't security supposed to make sure everyone exited the building before closing? Actually, where were the night security guards? I needed help and so far I haven't seen a single one on duty.

It seemed a bit hopeless. At least, until I realized something: Freddy wasn't around. Maybe…maybe he's not like the others. He might not be hostile. But where would I find him? I began remembering that the Glamrocks entered the stage via a platform going up so he might be below the main floor level. I think I saw an elevator somewhere nearby. I had to back track a bit but I was able to find it. I pushed the button to the lower level, but nothing happened. A computer's voice spoke through the small speaker.

"Unauthorized Access. S.T.A.F.F. Members Only."

I rolled my eyes. I should've known. Fortunately, I wasn't some dumb person. I reached into my pocket and took out my trusty Multi-Tool Pocket Knife and unscrewed the panels. With a little work I managed to hack the elevator and get it to go down.

One floor below I entered what looked like a series of rooms. Most likely they were offices and control rooms. I began going down the halls with zero directions in mind. Most of the doors were closed too so I couldn't check them. After aimlessly walking for some time I was able to open one door. Inside was a huge room. It had metal doors that seemed connected. At the center of the room was the big stage with an opening at the top, though a large metal hatch blocked it. Looks like I'm in the right place. I looked around the area a bit until I finally saw him: Freddy Fazbear himself. He was slumped on the side of the wall, completely deactivated. Wires ran from behind him to a monitor above him. I looked over and saw something displayed on screen.

"Uploading Malware. Progress: 80%"

Malware? A virus? So that's probably what happened? A computer virus must've corrupted the other animatronics and the security system around here. Maybe that rabbit girl did this. And at eighty percent, it was close to infecting Freddy. I wasted no time and ripped the plug off the monitor, causing the screen to blink red.

"Warning! Warning! Upload Interrupted!"

Uh, oh. That's not good. I went ahead and tried to disable the monitor to stop it from sounding the alarm. With luck I managed to turn it off in time. I sighed in relief. I looked back down at Freddy and inspected him. The panel on his back was opened and wires were loose and jumbled together but otherwise they were still intact. I took my little handy tool and began to fix the wirings a bit, making sure not to hit anything important or damage him in the process. Finally satisfied with the work I done, I closed the panel and saw a switch on the back of his neck, which I assumed to be a manual power button. I gulped and pressed it.

At first, nothing happened. I worried that I did something wrong and broke him. Suddenly, His joints began to jerk violently as the inner machines began to work. His eyes flew open, which made me back up in shock. He didn't move an inch or look around, just stayed in place while staring at me with his bright blue eyes, which illuminated our side of the room. I kind of got creeped out a bit and decided to try to speak to him.

"H-Hello." I said weakly.

Freddy still looked at me for a bit before finally blinking, his ears twitching a bit.

"Greetings." He said in a monotone voice.

A few seconds later I asked, "A-Are you…okay?"

The robot looked around a bit before focusing back at me.

"…Yes. I believe so." He looked at his hand inquisitively. "What…happened?"

"I'm not too sure but...I think a virus has spread around the Pizzaplex." I said.

"A virus…" Freddy whispered. "Ah! Yes. I remember now. There was a…glitch in the system."

"You mean back on stage during the performance?" I pointed at the stage near us.

He nodded. "Yes. This glitch…it began to override my core programming and replace them with more…malicious ones. I tried to fight it but eventually I had no choice but to commence an emergency shut down."

I looked up at the monitor. "Maybe that's why you were down here then. It failed to infect you wirelessly, so whoever did this tried to upload the virus manually. Good thing I stopped it in time."

Freddy cocked his head. "You…prevented it from infecting me?" I nodded. "…Who are you? You don't look like any of the S.T.A.F.F. Members here."

I nooded in agreement. "Your right, I'm not. I'm just a customer that got locked up here. My name is (Y/N)"

"(Y/N)…" Freddy said, smiling. "That's a nice name."

"Thanks." I blushed a little. "Umm…this is actually my first time here but…you were amazing on stage! Well, you know, before the whole glitch thing happened."

The animatronic chuckled. "Well, I'm both honored and happy to have impressed you."

His smile faded. "About this virus. If it affected me, then it must have also affected my fellow Glamrock band members."

"Yeah. They were scouting around the Pizzaplex. It looked like they were trying to find someone. Especially that lady in the white bunny costume." I explained.

"Is that so?" Freddy asked. "Who are they looking for?"

"I tapped my head, remembering the person's name. "I think it's a child. I believe she said their name was…Gregory? Yeah, thats it."

The animatronic's sat up straight with his eyes wide. "Gregory!? He's here as well?

I saw how distress he looked at the name. "Huh? You know him?"

Freddy nodded. "Of course! I've scanned every child that comes into the Pizzaplex into a database connected with the security system. This is to ensure the safety of a child should they get lost. Gregory has been in this establishment a couple of times and…" He shyly looked away. "I guess He's...imprinted onto me..."

I don't know why, but I kind of giggled at that. "Haha! Seems like you got a favorite!"

The bear rubbed the back of his head, nodding. "I suppose…" He then composed himself. "But if he's here, I need to find him. And if what you say is true, my friends are a threat to him."

I nodded. "Then let me help you find him. As it stands, I'm trapped here too and two heads are better than one. Also, there might be other kids here too."

The animatronic shook his head. "I don't think that's a good idea. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate your help but I'm not risking someone getting hurt in this. Plus, I can't hide you in my stomach compartment should we run into anyone hostile." He patted his belly.

I shook my head. "Its fine. I've done a good job so far of not alerting anyone. And I'm a bit resourceful. Again, I really want to help you and this Gregory kid, and anyone else trapped here. Please?"

Freddy stood silent. I guess he was contemplating on the idea. I mean, where was I suppose to go while he goes out all on his own? After a bit I guess he figured it out cause he gave out a sigh and slowly stood up. I was quite surprised. Sure, he was tall, but that was from afar. But up close, he was a giant! Surely made me small by comparison. Hell, I felt like a child right now being near his presence.

Freddy looked down at me. "Okay. I suppose I can let you come with me. Besides, I would not feel comfortable leaving you alone despite you being an adult."

He lowered himself and placed a hand on my shoulder. "However, you must do as I say! And do not separate from me unless necessary. Although we just met I do not want anything bad happening to you, (Y/N). Understood?"

I nodded my head with a smile. "Sure."

The bear smiled and stood up, looking at one of the metal doors. "First, lets move up to the main lobby. From there, we'll head over to the security office. If I can access the Pizzaplex's security cameras I might be able to locate Gregory. And, if possible, find any other children or even a security guard."

"Sounds like a plan." I said.

Freddy moved over to the door and was about to press a button to open it but stopped. He looked over at me.

"By the way, how DID you end up here after hours? If I may ask?" He questioned.

I was kind of surprised he asked me that now. I looked down at my foot. "Honestly…I don't know. At the show, after you guys got infected, my head began to hurt and I blanked out."

Freddy raised a brow. "Really?"

I nodded. "Yeah. The only thing I remember was someone catching me before I fell. I then woke up in a storage room by myself. I don't know why they'd put me there instead of handing me to an employee."

He tapped his chin a bit. "That IS odd. Hmm…" He shook his head. "We'll figure it out along the way. I promise. For now, its best to get a move on."

I nodded. "Yeah, I agree."

Freddy pushed the button and the door opened, revealing a long hallway, illuminated by red lights. It looked sketchy as hell and I'd probably just go back where I came. At least, if I knew how I got back. Again, I have no sense of directions. Freddy walked in first as I followed him. Once through, the door behind me closed quickly. startled, I huddled very close to the bear who snickered at my reaction.

At the far corner of the room, a lone figure looked at where the two entered the door. Its golden eyes peered through the darkness. He growled a little.

"Ye best be taking care of the lad, ya scurvy dog." it said as he disappeared through the darkness.
