Chapter One
Prologue
A young boy was born in the Hidden Leaf village about 14 years before the Nine Tails would attack. The boy was considered an abomination by two clans, the Uchila and Hyuga. His mother was a member of the Hyuga clan and his father the Uchila their parents and elders were both extremely against the marriage of the two. When the child was born it was unknown what ocular jutsu would manifest. When the boy was five his father was sent on a dangerous mission and lost his life. Usually, the child would wait at the gates for his father to return but when his team came back, they couldn't even tell him the truth. His father's name is unimportant as is his mother's but the boy's name is Nate Uchila. He went under the Uchila clan name because his parents were unable to get a merging of the clans officially and his mother was tired of her clan's rules and practical servitude since she wasn't part of the main family. When his mother sat him down to explain that his father had died the emotions overwhelmed him unlocking his Sharingan eye in his right eye but his left unlocked as the Byakugan. Only his mother learned of this initial development and decided it was best to keep one eye hidden, since they both already carried the Uchila name they decided it was best to keep the Byakugan hidden. Nate decided to cover most of his face as well (I know this is similar to Kakashi but I like the design choice) leaving his Uchila black hair and Sharingan out. His mother was a very skilled ninja and did everything possible to train him in both the use of his Sharingan and Byakugan before his start at the ninja academy. His time at the academy was amazing for Nate he excelled at anything the instructors threw his way, the only other student that could compare was Kakashi Hatake. They developed a weird kind of friendship often competing in a healthy way. When the time came Nate graduated as a Genin. The Third Hokage quickly realized that they did not have enough teachers for all the Genin and one teacher was going to have to take on an extra student. The Jonin was Minato Namikaze and his Team 7 would consist of Kakashi, Rin, Obito, and Nate. Nate during his training with Minato would eventually reveal his Byakugan. Minato was stunned at the discovery but agreed to keep it a secret to protect him. The squad was extremely strong between Kakashi's ruthlessness and Nate's Sharingan the squad succeeded on nearly every mission that was accepted. Both Nate and Kakashi quickly rose up through the ranks becoming Jonin but unfortunately a new great ninja war was about to begin. The war was going relatively well for the leaf and it came down to two deciding battles that would involve Minato going to the front as a distraction and the rest of Team 7 under Kakashi's leadership would destroy a bridge that was crucial to the Hidden Stone's supply lines without it their front would collapse and a surrender would be the only option. During the trek towards the bridge the group is attacked and Rin kidnapped. Obito frantically begs Kakashi to abandon the mission in order to save Rin but the memory of what happened to his father prevented him from agreeing but Nate chimed in "Hey Kakashi you should go with him while I go to the bridge." Kakashi stunned that he would even suggest such a thing "What no it goes against the shinobi rules!" Nate continued "Look it goes against the rules but in the end what if Obito is captured and then both him and Rin are killed. Could you live with it?" Kakashi stood their wandering if this is what his father had felt when it was his decision "Fine but the moment they are save we are coming to you.". Kakashi would quickly catch up to Obito and they would craft a plan that would initially work but, in the end, Obito still sacrificed himself for Rin and would give Kakashi his Sharingan he unlocked. Nate however would arrive at the bridge and find it to be heavily fortified with several Jonin guarding it from the Hidden Stone. Nate had been practicing using both eyes at once and finally had some control using both at the same time on top of that he had also figured out how to use the Rasengan from Minato. Nate began planning he took inventory of all the tools at his disposal he had over twenty kunai still as well as ten paper bombs that would have to be saved for the bridge and finally at the bottom, he had the weird kunai Minato had given to him and Kakashi. There were two guards at the front of the bridge that would have to be taken out simultaneously to even have a chance of taking the bridge the only thing that came to mind was a, two handed Rasengan. He had only seen Minato do it once, one in each hand was perfect for the current situation. He knew the enemy would also have eyes watching for an attack like this but that's what Nate planned on. He formed a Rasengan in each hand dashing towards the enemy from the tree line the two guards didn't stand a chance getting obliterated quickly. There were at least ten more ninja on the bridge not to mention any that may be on the other side. They began to run at Nate but that's when he activated his Sharingan which stunned several of the Stone ninja which gave him an opening attack with a Water Serpent Jutsu killing three and wounding two more. Nate began to use his agility against them and secretly placing paper bombs under the dead or at awkward angles. Nate began to make his retreat look real and they fell for it chasing him back across the bridge and the second he was across detonated the bombs killing the remaining stone ninja and destroying the bridge in the process. Nate climbed into one of the nearby trees and sat exhausted as the Jutsu had taken a toll as well as the use of both his eyes. He hadn't even realized the kunai stuck in his thigh and the several cuts across his body until now. He tried to stand up and move but the toll was too much as he slid back against the tree and falling asleep. He awoke to Rin patching him up and Minato looking down at him with Kakashi Minato begins "You destroyed the bridge on your own? That was at least a three-person job." Nate looks around "Where is Obito?" the moment he says it Rin begins to lightly cry Kakashi steps in "He sacrificed himself to save me and Rin as well as giving me his Sharingan." Nate looked down "I should have gone with you. Yes, I took out the bridge but we lost a friend." Minato kneeled down "Hey Nate without what you did here the war may have gone on until I got here but saved dozens of our comrades lives.". With the bridge destroyed the Third Great Ninja war had come to a close but the leaf village faced a new issue the war had cause many children to become orphans and the elders came up with the decision to let some be absorbed into some families to be looked after. Nate's mother decided to offer help to a girl whose mother and father died in the war name Anko Mitarashi. The two quickly bonded and became good friends they often forced Kakashi to come out with them in between missions. One day she came home and explained the Lord Orochimaru made her his student. Nate was sad to hear this news as she would often be out on missions and rarely be in the village but he was happy for her none the less. It had been some time since he two returned but when she did, she told Nate and his mother of all the adventures and places they had been and that in a few days they would be going to the Land of Waves for a short time. They were gone for a week with no sign of return and the Hokage eventually sent Anbu to look for the pair where they searched everywhere imaginable when they finally found her passed out on the beach with some sort of mark on her shoulder. They spent time investigating the seal and saw that it had become a part of her but the curse mark didn't fuse with her chakra entirely leaving it from affecting her. Nate and his mother waited outside of the healing chamber where the Hokage placed the most powerful seal he could think of to ensure it wouldn't affect her. The mother and son could hear the screams she let out as the seal was extremely painful at the moment Nate swore that one day, he would make Orochimaru pay for what he had done. Several weeks later and Anko could still only remember leaving the leaf village and not a single thing her and Orochimaru had done on any of their training missions. Nate and her were talking when Kakashi busted in the house "The Hidden Mist kidnapped Rin. Lord Third is letting me pick a team to go after her. You in?" Nate looked at Anko apologetically "Yeah let me get my things.". The group sped off tracking the ninja but the they had left several traps along the way which would injure just about everybody but Kakashi and Nate. Kakashi spoke "Alright you guys stay here me and Nate will continue on and catch up when you guys can." A man spoke "You two can't take on those ninjas they are most likely all Anbu class. Its suicide." Nate chimed in "The two of us together are unstoppable when it comes to things like this.". The two continued tracking the Mist and eventually were able to get Rin out but the Mist shinobi were right on their tails with the trio dodging all types of Jutsu and kunai. Eventually Rin tries to fight causing Nate and Kakashi to jump in to help her and the two are putting up a solid fight. Nate was to the right of Rin when he saw Kakashi's Chidori through the smoke and realized Rin was going to jump in the way. Unfortunately, this distracted Nate from the enemy and all the sudden he felt a sword slash down his torso before he fell over bleeding while he heard the guttural sound Rin made as well as Kakashi scream. Those were the last sounds he heard as he slipped into the dark abyss and began to see the memories he had made, the connections, the bonds, and the promises. When he was packing his things, he promised both his mother and Anko that he would return but now he was mad at himself, Rin, and the mist for all different reasons. Why didn't he focus on his adversary, why wasn't he faster to save Rin, and why would the Mist Kidnap a medical ninja. But then all he saw were memories of him and Anko the laughs and her insatiable love for dango, in that moment he realized he cared for her a lot more than just friends but now it was too late as he laid on some forgotten battle field bleeding out. Just then his vision returned as a medical ninja from the leaf was hard at work stabilizing him when she spoke "His eyes are open I need more hands now!" other medical ninja came over to help in stabilizing his condition in the back he could see Kakashi's snow white hair behind the ninja before he passed back out. His eyes were closed but he could hear the rhythmic beat of his heartbeat through a machine and he suddenly realized he felt something warm on his leg. He opened his eyes to see Anko passed out and he could tell from her puffy eyes she had been crying he looked over to see Kakashi reading a book in the opposite bed "Hey Kakashi what happened." even through the mask Nate could tell he was smiling "Well you took a sword to the chest and nearly bled to death.". Anko's eyes shot open upon hearing his voice and squeezed him tight "Don't you ever do that to me again do you understand! You had me terrified!". The doctors must have noticed the increase in his heartbeats and walked in "You are one lucky man. You used a large portion of your chakra and nearly bled to death it's a miracle they brought you back alive.". Nate was released a few days later with Kakashi and their first stop was to the graveyard where they visited Rin and Obito and then to Rin's parents to apologize for their failure. The reason Minato was unable to go is classified but within a short time he was picked to be the Fourth Hokage and accepted the role. Nate went to Kakashi's home almost every single day to check on him as he figured out what Rin had done. He would often watch through the window to see Kakashi washing his hands constantly muttering "Why won't it come off." Nate understood that the Sharingan could show blood to the user and that he most likely couldn't get Rin's blood off his hand. Minato knew the suffering they pair were going through and decided to make the duo official Anbu members. The two were absolutely ruthless on the field putting their most senior Anbu to shame. Minato realized over time that the cruelty they were experiencing was making Kakashi sink further into darkness and despair that's when he assigned the two a role considered most critical protecting his pregnant wife Kushina. Minato hoped that it would improve Kakashi's mental state and it was working until the Nine Tailed Beast attacked the hidden leaf. Nate, Anko, and his mother were enjoying the nice day and eating at ramen place when the attack began. His mother was requested to help fight the beast and agreed she said her goodbyes to Nate "I love you so much but please do not come for me. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if you were to die and not me." As she finished, she hit him the Gentle Fist knocking him unconscious and turned to Anko "Please take him to a save zone with the other young shinobi." Anko began to argue when she was cut off "I really wasn't asking. Now go." Anko with tear filled eyes "Yes thank you for taking me in when no one else would.". She picked up Nate and began to run towards the older shinobi who pointed her in the right direction. They arrived where they found a bunch of their fellow classmates including Kakashi, Guy, Kurenai, Asuma, and some others. A man who appears to be Kurenai's father puts up a protective barrier in case the Nine Tails find them. Anko is sitting down with Nates head in her lap when Kakashi walks over "What happened to him usually I am the one lying down." Anko sighs "His mom hit his chakra points as he refused to let, he goes against the Nine Tails." Kakashi sneaks out a laugh. They all were trapped for some time and were starting to get worried when badly beaten shinobi come and lets them all out. Before Anko can get Nate up he awakes is calm for a moment before panicking dashing into the village where the most chaos appeared to be. He searched for hours and hours and hours and before Kakashi found him "Nate come on we got to get out of here and you need sleep." Nate retorts "I can't leave her out there she could be dying or trapped under some rubble!" Kakashi shakes his head "Nate you are not the only one being affected. Anko needs you she lost her surrogate mother and is afraid you'll shut her out too now let's go." Nate relents and returns to his family home where a very worried Anko is waiting "You left and were gone for hours to the point I had to send Kakashi after you! What is wrong with you! Your all I have left on this world!" Nate looks down "I had to try and find her even if I didn't like what I did find.". "Anko quickly realizing she may have been too harsh quickly pulls him in for a hug. The Fourth Hokage and his wife would unfortunately perish during the attack leaving the Third Hokage as the leader of the leaf once again. During this time Nate and Anko were now responsible for each other doing almost everything together. During this period after Nate realized he needed to be stronger he had already mastered his water chakra nature it was time to see what his second nature was. He did the test and found out he had earth chakra. He realized the potential of his two natures understanding that he could even learn wood style one day. He trained in between missions for months getting results and learning different earth style techniques. Within the first year of training, he has mastered his earth chakra. With this in check he goes to meet with the Hokage "Lord Third I believe that I have some great news." The Hokage looks up from his papers "What is it?" Nate smiles "I believe I may be able to learn wood style jutsu." The Hokage immediately focuses all attention on him "Are you sure no one has used wood style since the First Hokage.". "Yes, I have mastered water and earth chakra natures and with time I believe I can." The Hokage stands from his desk "Follow me. We keep the only known wood style scrolls hidden in case another village had wood style develop." They walk into a room with massive amounts of jutsu's stored and the Hokage hands him everything they have. Nate spent days reading the scrolls before getting an idea of how to convert his chakra into two natures and then into one nature. He spent the next year practicing before he was confident to even display it to anyone but Anko and Kakashi. He knew the base techniques but the more complex ones required lots of space and time which he would focus on later.
