Hello everyone, for a long time I have had a dream to write one of the best One Piece fanfiction stories this site has seen. But it has been an issue whether from poor writing on my end, discrimination and insults from reviewers and ect. But I think I finally have garnered enough writing skill to make this story work. It's not perfect and you guys most likely will find a grammar mistake here and there but it's better then some of my past work for sure. So as to celebrate One Piece soon to be reaching 1000 episode, I will start my own journey with this story. My own Romance Dawn. I hope everyone will enjoy it.

Romance Dawn: East Blue

Chapter 1

Arrival of Pirates

Wealth…fame…Power…In the entirety of the world only one man had managed to acquire everything in it. Gold Roger, the King of the Pirates…

However even the greatest of men must fall as he turned himself in and the Marines bound him in rope and chain. When held at the execution platform of his hometown he had this to say;

"My wealth…My treasure? You want it? Then have it. I left everything in one place…All of it in One Piece."

With these words a new era was born. An age of great piracy that the world has never seen before. An era…that will start a chain reaction to events that will change the entire world!

CLANK!

It was a bright and sunny day on the East Blue Sea. Few white clouds could be seen in the bright blue sky. A few seagulls flew by, heading towards an island with a town on it. A small sign by the town read 'Grey Town'.

However nearby was a large ship sailing towards the island. The clear sign of a pirate flag can be seen hoisted upon its mass.

CLANK!

A girl with white skin, brown eyes, long blonde hair tied into a ponytail and wore a teal shirt and plaid green and white shorts can be seen within one of the homes in the town. She placed a frying pan atop a stove followed by oil and mixed veggies as she started frying it up.

As she was cooking, the town folks were out and about, enjoying the beautiful day. Couples were walking down the streets; children were playing with each other and traders were trying to sell their stocks.

CLANK!

One person walked up a set of stairs that lead to the top of the town's lookout tower, where a bell was placed. The man stretched his arms out as he prepaid himself for another peaceful day.

However just as he set his eyes out to the open sea, he spotted a large ship from a distance. "A ship? The ocean liner isn't supposed to be coming today, right?"

CLANK!

Just as the man questioned the ships appearance, he spotted it. The crescent moon jolly roger on the ships main sail. Signaling only one thing to the man.

"WE'RE UNDER ATTACK! PIRATES ARE COMING!" The man shouted towards the town, freezing, and silencing everyone that could hear him.

CLANK!

This was enough for everyone to start panicking as they all started to run away to the towns center for safety. The bell on the lookout tower being rung to warn those who didn't hear him for the rest of the town.

The girl that was cooking heard the warning bell and a determine look formed on her face. "Pirates?! Not again!"

She turned the stove off and jumped over the counter that was beside her and quickly ran up the stairs towards her room. She passed by a room that had the words 'Jecht' on it and entered through the room next to it label 'Silk'.

"I won't let these pirate get away with this! I need to get Jecht so we can protect the town. I won't let them harm my treasure!" She said as she went for a cutlass sword that was in a purple sword sheath that was hanging over her bed and went straight to her bedroom's balcony.

Once there she saw everyone running for their lives as the pirate ship was approaching the towns docks. Silk glared angrily at the sight of the pirate ship as she went back inside and made her way downstairs and towards the back of the house.

Behind her home was a small smithy shop. She slammed open the door to find a young man working with a hot piece of metal and slamming a large blacksmith hammer on it.

CLANK!

The man was wearing a mask cover and a pair of goggles over his face as he worked on the metal. But what could be seen of him was that he had tanned skin, short silver white hair that was covered by a yellow bandana over his head. A yellow sleeveless shirt with a necklace of a hammer around his neck. He wore a pair of dark green cargo pants and steel toed boot on his left foot while his right was a metal prosthetic. That wasn't the only prosthetic as his left arm up to his elbow was a metal prosthetic as well as it was holding the hot piece of metal. His right hand was covered by a thick glove as he hammered away on the piece of hot metal.

CLANK!

"Jecht! Pirates have come here again! Get your ass moving!" Silk shouted so that the man known as Jecht could hear here.

Jecht continued his work without turning his head but he responded back to the girl as he heard her. "How many ships?"

CLANK!

"Huh?" Silk asked, confused by what he meant.

"I asked how many ships there are Silk. How many, how big?" Jecht asked again, as he stopped his hammering for a bit and raised the piece of metal, he was working on to inspect it.

"Oh, uh…Just one, I think. About as big as the watch tower from what I saw." Silk responded as she had to think a bit about the pirate ships size.

"Then you can handle them for a bit. Bet they are just a bunch of no names anyway. Hold them off till I finish up here then I'll scare them off." Jecht told Silk as he resumed his work by going back to hammering the hot metal again.

CLANK!

"Huh?! But, but…" Silk was frustrated with Jecht response but stop herself as she saw that Jecht wasn't even paying attention to her anymore.

"Grrr…FINE! I'll deal with these pirates all by myself without you! God, I hate when you get like this when working!" Silk shouted in frustration as she ran back outside and slammed the door behind her. Making some of the smithing equipment vibrate from the force.

"…And I told you not to slam the door when I'm working…" Jecht merely said as he continued with his work. Being almost finished with this part of the metal he was working on.

CLANK!

Some folks along with the mayor of the town was looking through a telescope to get a better idea of what kind of pirate they were dealing with. What he saw was a large ship, with a purple cobra-like figurehead at the front of the ship. A skull with a crescent moon around it could be seen on the main sail. However, not a single person could be seen on it.

"Yeah…without a doubt. That's Gally of the Crescent Moon pirates. I had heard he recently got a bounty on his head of 3,450,000beli." The mayor said as he remembers seeing the wanted poster of him in the most recent batch.

"If they were to attack a small town like this, there will be nothing left of it." A town folk said worriedly as the other folks talk among themselves.

"Where is Jecht? He can handle these pirates with ease." On town folk brought up with the other agreeing with him.

"He most likely is on one of his projects. One of you go and get him out of there, before it's too late." The mayor ordered one of the town folks for the duty of getting Jecht.

"We don't need him to fight those pirates!" Silk's voice was heard behind everyone as they turned towards her.

"We don't need to bother Jecht if we can just drive off those pirates ourselves!" Silk said as she approached the group of town folks. However, as she did everyone turned away from her with disgruntled expressions on their faces.

Then, together as one voice they all spoke. "You stay out of this Silk!"

"Don't say it in unison! I live in this town too, you know! Why should we let the pirates trample over us just because Jecht isn't here? He's not going to be here forever, we need to stand up and defend ourselves!" Silk explained to the town folks as they were attempting to look away from her.

"Please…Just stay out of it, Silk!" One town folk said as he hooked his arm under her left arm.

"Whenever you get involved in something, you always make things worst!" Another town folk said as he hooked his arm under Silks right arm.

"Please Silk…Just go to the town center and be safe. You two, when you are done with her get Jecht here as soon as you can!" The mayor said with an apologetic look to Silk as the two dragged her by her feet.

"Huh?! No! Why!?" Silk whined as she was dragged by her feet by the two town folks.

However, as the three turned around the corner of a building, Silk managed to free herself and kicked both men in-between their legs. Knocking them both out.

"I'm sorry." Silk apologized as she ran back to the towns harbor to confront the pirates.

The pirate ship managed to dock on Cocoa Island harbor. The town folks prepared themselves for the swarm of pirate to jump of the ship but…no one came. They found it odd how quiet it was until a single figure appeared on top of the snake figurehead of the ship.

The figure was a young male teen. He has white skin and shaggy short black hair that is underneath a simple straw-hat. He has black eyes and a small scare under his left eye. He is wearing a sleeveless bright red vest and a pair of blue shorts with a pair of sandals.

"Is…is that Gally of the Crescent Moon?" A town folk asked, unsure of the man before them was the right guy or not.

"He…looks kind of young don't you think?" One folk pointed out the person's age.

"I thought 'Crescent Moon' was referring to his curved mustache." Another folk said, remembering hearing that Gally got his name based on his curved mustache.

"Maybe it his hat? It looks like a crescent moon, doesn't it?" Another folk pointed out the person's hat.

"That must be it!" A town folk agreed.

"Why…is there only one?" The mayor asked in confusion as he was expecting a whole horde of pirates, rushing from the ship.

The straw-hat young man let out a sigh as he looked out to the town. "Aw man…I couldn't find any food on this ship after all. Maybe this town will have a café or something."

"YOU DAMN BASTARD! Don't think you will get away with this!" A voice shouted angrily behind the straw-hat man. Behind him was what appeared to be the crew of the ship, except they looked to have all been beaten up and tied up in rope.

The one yelling was a short man with black hair and had a long thin crescent mustache and a curved beard to match it. He wore a dark blue pirate captain uniform.

"Who the hell do you think I am?! I am the great 'Crescent Moon' Gally! I only dropped my guard for a second! That's why I lost! No wait, LIKE HELL I WOULD ACTUALLY LOSE TO YOU!" Gally shouted shouting a storm in a fury.

The straw-hat man let out an annoyed sigh as he faced Gally. "You guys ran over my ship so I boarded and thought you might have some food to share. Besides, you guys were the one to attack me! As soon as I said how strange your mustache was."

"S-STRANGE?! You totally are picking a fight with me!" Gally shot back in rage at being insulted again.

"Well…too bad for you, you angered the wrong man upon this sea. Not only do I have a bounty of 3,450,000beli but I am also in an alliance with the great Ganzack pirates, most feared pirates in the- DON'T WALK AWAY WHILE I'M TALKING!" Gally started to gloat but that vanished when the straw-hat man turned around and jumped off his ship, completely ignoring him.

"Boss…what are we going to do. We were supposed to take over this town today but in our state..." One of Gally men asked worriedly.

Gally responded by bashing his head on the pirate minion. "LIKE I DON'T KNOW THAT! We still have enough time; we'll get that bastard and take over this town before Captain Ganzack men arrive."

Meanwhile back with the town's mayor. He was getting antsy with how quiet the pirate ship was. "I wonder why they haven't made any demands yet." He pondered right as the straw-hat man landed beside him and took off into the town.

"FOOD!" The straw-hat man hollered as he ran straight into the town, ignoring all the surprised and confused townsfolks.

"Sniff-sniff, sniff-sniff. Oh! I smell something good here! A café YAY!" The straw-hat man cheered as he was found in front of the same café that Silk was working at. However right as he was about to walk into the café a voice called out and stopped him.

"There you are you damn pirate!" The straw-hat man stopped and turned to face Silk who was rushing at him with her sword drawn.

"Huh? Who are you?" Luffy wondered why this girl was attacking him as he hasn't done anything yet, that he knows of.

"Prepare yourself 'Crescent Moon' Gally!" Silk shouted as she jumped at Luffy and swung her sword at his head. Silk landed on the ground with a confident smirk as the straw-hat man hat fell to the ground with a cut on it.

"Yosh…that should have been enough to scare him off." Silk said as she turned around and faced "Gally"

However, she dropped her sword at what she saw…The man head was completely gone, giving the sense that she cut his head off completely.

"AAAHHH! I CUT OFF HIS HEAD! I only meant to scare him off not kill him!" Silk paled at the result of her own action.

Suddenly the man's head bounced back into its normal spot, showing that he merely ducked his head in to avoid Silks attack.

He then turned around and angrily looked at Silk. "Why did you do that for all of a sudden?! That's dangerous you know!"

"AH! I-I'M SORRY! No wait, no I'm not! Your Gally of the 'Crescent moon' aren't you!?" Silk managed to recompose herself as she grabbed her sword again and aimed it at the straw-hat man.

"Huh? Who's that?' The straw-hat man asked as he cocked his head sideways in confusion.

"Huh? Wait…your…Not Gally? The pirate that's come to attack this town? You were on that ship, weren't you?" Silk asked, wondering if she got the wrong guy.

"Oh that…it's complicated." The straw-hat man replied as he looked back at the ship.

"Who are you?' Silk asked, wanting to know who this person was exactly.

"Me? I'm Monkey D. Luffy. A pirate…though I'm not with those guys." Luffy introduced himself as he thumbed at the pirate ship behind him.

"Wait…you're a pirate but not with them? Are you here to plunder this town or not?!" Silk asked angrily, wondering if Luffy was a threat or not.

"Plunder? Nope! I had just set sail to form my own pirate crew when that ship ran my boat over. I boarded their ship and asked for food but instead they attacked me. The ship then sailed here shortly after by coincidence." Luffy explained his situation to Silk who looked to have settled down more.

"That would explain why there isn't any pirates around." Silk thought to herself as she realized just how quiet it was after the pirate ship landed.

Suddenly Luffy shouted in a panic as he picked up his straw-hat and raised it up in the air to show the large cut that Silk placed upon it. "MY HAT! Look what you did to my treasure!"

Silk was beside herself as Luffy was getting so worked up over his hat like that. "Your…treasure? That hat is your treasure?"

"OI!" A voice shouted, catching the attention of the two. There coming out from behind the café was Jecht. Having finished his work, he was getting ready to help the town when he fancied himself upon a pirate facing his sister. Without the mask and goggles on, Jecht face can be seen better and he looked slightly older than Silk and his orange eyes could be seen.

"What the hell do you think your doing to my sister?!" Jecht asked angrily as he dropped his tool box that he was carrying and got into a stance.

"W-Wait Jecht! He's not-" Silk realized what her brother was going to do and tried to stop him but it was too late.

Then, almost in an instant Jecht dash toward Luffy with inhuman speed as Luffy could barley react and smashed his prosthetic iron foot onto Luffy face and sent him flying towards one of the town buildings.

"Wait, Jecht stop! He's not a pirate-well he is, but he's not here to attack the town!" Silk shouted as she rushed toward her brother to stop him.

"Huh? Oh…I…I jumped the gun, didn't I?" Jecht said sheepishly as Silk glared at him. Meanwhile Luffy was pulling himself out of the rubble he crashed into.

"Ow! That speed really caught me off guard! What did you do that for?!" Luffy asked in an annoyed tone as he was rubbing his head.

"I AM TERRIBLY SORRY!" Jecht comically apologized as he bowed to Luffy.

"YOU GOT TO BE MORE SORRY THEN THAT AFTER KICKING HIM LIKE THAT!" Silk angrily yelled at her brother.

Luffy dusted himself off as he stood up and looked at the two. He then laughed a bit at how they acted. "It's fine, it's fine. You can pay me back with food! I'm starving."

Both Jecht and Silk looked at Luffy in surprised before Jecht started laughing. "If that's all it takes then sure! My sister here has a café she can feed you at!"

Luffy cheered, he was about to make his way towards them when suddenly a voice called out to him.

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE YOU LITTLE BUG COLLECTOR!" There, with his entire crew freed and the mayor held hostage by his side was Gally. And he did not look happy.

"I'm…sorry Jecht…They caught us off guard." The mayor said in an apologetic tone as one of Gally men held a pistol to his head.

"Mayor Flint(1)…" Silk said in an angry hushed tone in seeing the mayor in such a state while Jecht remained silent.

"You think you can get away with calling my name weird?! Not even my own parent would say such a thing! You've got such a nerve to mock me! The great Gally!" Gally boasted angrily as he pulled out his sword and aimed it at Luffy.

"So THAT'S 'Crescent Moon' Gally? He's a lot shorter than I expected, and what's with that mustache of his?" Jecht pointed out in a calm tone as Luffy laughed beside him. "I know right? It's so weird looking, isn't it?"

"YOU BASTARDS ARE MAKING FUN OF ME?! Once I am done with you two, I'll steal and enslave every single inch of this island!" Gally shouted with the fury of a thousand suns as he started stomping on the ground angrily.

Silk looked nervously between the pirates and the two men beside her. "Is…Is it really wise to be insulting the pirates that have the mayor held hostage?"

Jecht gave her a nonchalant shrug as he eyed the pirates. "They can't do much anyway. I can already tell they are a bunch of pushovers."

"PUSHOVERS?! Do you know how much beli I have on my head?! 3,450,000beli! And if that isn't enough, I am also a member of the Ganzack pirates! One of the most feared pirate crews in the entire East Blue! Mess with me and you'll face his full wrath!" Gally gloated as his men started to draw their weapons.

"And to show you…WE WILL KILL YOU ALL HERE! ATTACK!" Gally announced as most of his men charged at the three.

Silk worriedly drew her sword while Jecht lazily looked at Luffy at the corner of his eyes. "You good to fight?"

"Yeah! These guys are nothing!" Luffy smiled as he cracked his knuckles.

Jecht then looked at Silk with a worried look. "Will you be okay as well?"

Silk was hesitant at first but one look from Jecht was enough for her to confidently nod to him. "Yeah…I've been training all this time so that I can fight with you instead of hiding!"

Jecht smiled at her as he turned to face the pirates. "Good…let's bust some heads then!"

(One Piece~Run Away)

Two of the pirates ran up to Luffy and swung their swords at him but he effortlessly jumped over the two pirates' attacks. The two pirates were so focused on how high Luffy jumped over them that they failed to see Jecht come up from behind and grabbing the two's head and smashing them into the ground.

When Luffy landed he was right in front of Gally and threw a hard punch into his gut as he spoke. "Like I said…You guys came at me first!"

Luffy then followed his punch with a roundhouse kick to Gally's face that sent him flying into a bunch of boxes and barrels.

Undeterred by their captain being sent flying the pirates continued their assault upon the three. Luffy effortlessly avoided each attack sent his way and followed each dodge with a follow-up attack.

One pirate came at him with a large axe, but Luffy easily ducked under the swing and kicked the pirate from under his legs. One pirate came up from behind the one Luffy just knocked down. Luffy jumped back up from the ground and used his momentum to hook his foot onto the pirate's chin and threw him behind him and into a building.

"Amazing! He was really this strong?" Silk questioned in amazement at how skilled a fight Luffy was. Silk however had no time to watch as some of the other pirates was already upon her.

Silk quickly drew her sword as he blocked a pirate's sword, she then moved her sword to her side so the pirate blade slide away from her and in a one quick motion she broke through the pirate defend and cut him down.

She then quick turned around and avoided another pirate's attack as she retaliated with another quick slash.

"Whistle, I gotta admit. Guys got moves." Jecht whistled, impressed with how Luffy fared himself. As he was watching Luffy however, a large pirate with a two-handed axe came at him from behind.

But Jecht barley even turned around as he grabbed the axe head's blade with his left prosthetic hard. The pirate was struggling to even move the axe in the man robotic grip. Jecht moved his head slight so that was he was looking at the pirate and gave him a cocky smirk as he SHATTERED the axe blade with his prosthetic hand.

Not even giving the pirate time to give a proper reaction to his weapon being destroyed, Jecht spun around and slammed his right elbow into the pirate's gut and followed it up with an uppercut to the pirate's chin. Sending him flying.

Jecht then quickly spun around and swung his left arm at an incoming pirate sword, shattering it upon contact. Jecht the followed it up with a straight punch from his right hand into the pirate's face.

Gally managed to recover and he shook his head of dizziness. "Uhh…What hit me? …NANI!"

(End Music)

Gally couldn't believe his eyes. Most of his men were on the ground, beaten to a pulp while the remaining stood their ground, a bit in a more scared poise.

"You bastards! Don't think you've won yet! Don't forget, I still have a hostage!" Gally announced as one of his remaining men raised a pistol to mayor Flints head.

"You cowards!" Silk shouted angrily at the pirate's dirty move.

"It is what it is my dear now…don't move or the old man gets it!" The pirate holding the pistol to Flint's head said. Flint sweating up a storm at being mere moments of being shot.

Jecht raised a questionable eyebrow at the pirates while Luffy…Luffy merely ignored it and continued beating up the pirates, making them confused as to why he would do so when a hostage was about to be killed.

"O-Oi, don't you value the life of the mayor of this town?!" The pirate asked in a panic tone that went on deft ears to Luffy.

"He's not worried cause you guys aren't going to fire that pistol." Jecht said with a confident smirk as he juggled a few stones in his hand in the air. He then raised his hand with the stones and poised one of them with his thumb, ready to fire it.

"That is…if you guys know how to fire a pistol…like this. Moa-Moa 50fold Pistol!" Jecht announced as he fired the stone, but instead of its normal speed, it flew directly at the pirate comparable to that of an actual pistol. Flint collapsed after the pirate with the pistol aimed at his head was taken down.

Some of the nearby pirate could only stare in shock that one of their own was shot down by a guy flicking a stone at them. Jecht smirked grew as he fired a few more stones at the pirates, each shot being as fast and powerful as a pistol being shot.

"Silk! Go get the mayor to safety. Me and straw-hat here can handle the rest!" Jecht ordered which snapped Silk from her stupor of Jecht ability and rushed towards the mayor.

"Mayor Flint, are you okay?" Silk asked as she rushed to his side and helped him off from the ground.

Flint gave Silk tired but sympathetic smile. "I'm fine Silk, nothing I'm not used to by now with pirates."

"WOW! That was so cool! How did you do that?!" Luffy asked excitedly at seeing Jecht powers at work. Jecht merely smiled and shrugged his shoulders.

"He must have eaten a Devil Fruit to do that! Wait, this is no time to be shocked. GUN!" Gally broke out of his stupor and pulled out a pistol and aimed it at Luffy.

BANG!

Luffy barley reacted as he was shot at point-blank range by Gally pistol. Everyone stared shocked at this nice guy getting shot all of a sudden.

"That's what you get for being overconfident you damn bug collector! GAHAHAHAHA!" Gally gloated as he laughed heartily at killing Luffy. Luffy took two steps back but then took a stance. Not even a second later, a small patch of his body was stretching well beyond that of a normal human.

Jecht could only stare in confusion as the stretching flesh. "The hell…"

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Gally shouted, completely shock his gun had no effect.

Luffy merely smiled as he spoke. "That won't work on me…Because I'M MADE OF RUBBER!"

With that announced, Luffy literally set the bullet fired upon him, right back at Gally, leaving a large scare on his face as it flew right by him. Gally face went blue as he stared at the blood leaking from his now new scare. "W-What the hell…p-pistols don't work?"

"Yep! I ate a Devil Fruit called the Gomu-Gomu fruit. It turned my entire body into rubber, I'm a rubber man. You ate one too right?" Luffy asked innocently as he turned to Jecht.

Jecht gave a small chuckle. "Guess so. I ate the Moa-Moa Fruit to be precise. It allows me to increase the speed, power and size of anything inanimate objects I touch. Up to a hundred times it's original." To give an example Jecht used one of the marbles he had and increased its size to that of a baseball.

"Wow! That is so cool, so if you touch a piece of meat, can you make it as big as the island?" Luffy asked with excitement.

"There…there are other people like Jecht out there?" Silk asked in amazement at how the bullet did nothing to Luffy body.

"Devil Fruits…" Flint started to speak. With Silk looking at him.

"All around the world there are fruits which grant people powers who eat them. Each one a different ability. But they are more commonly found in the Grand Line then the normal Blue seas." Flint explained as Silk was looking at her brother and Luffy.

"Tch, don't think I am done yet! If pistols won't work then…SWORD!" Gally announced as he drew his sword again and slashed at Luffy.

Luffy easily dodged the attack and used his sandaled foot, to knock Gally blade out of his hand. He then started to stretch his arm at incredible lengths.

"Your so annoying! Go flying already! Gomu-Gomu no PISTOL!" Luffy shouted as his arm started to return back to him as he sent his fist into Gally stomach, the force from the stretching arm amplified the power behind it and literally sent Gally flying right back to the sea where his ship was.

"Whistle, nice shot." Jecht commented as he raised a hand to shadow his eyes, as to look at where Gally went better. Luffy turned to Jecht and gave him a wide smile.

Jecht then turned around and rushed towards Silk and Flint, with Luffy trailing behind him. "Oi, are you okay mayor?"

Flint smiled and waved at Silk to show her that he was fine as he stood up on his own. "I'm fine Jecht, nothing that I am not used to by now. Honestly the pirates only attacked me and went straight to the town looking for someone. Thankfully they didn't attack any of the other townsfolks."

Jecht let a small sigh of relief while Silk smiled happily that the mayor was fine. "That's good to hear. With the town safe and the pirates gone then you don't mind if I treat my friend here to some food, do you?"

Flint looked at who he assumed Jecht was talking about and realized it was the very first person who jumped off of the pirate's ship. "Wait isn't he…Never mind, if Jecht says you're his friend then you are more then welcomed to our town. Especially after you chased off those pirates."

Luffy smiled widely as he laughed a bit. "Shishishi, it's no problem at all. Those guys were jerks anyway. Hey, can we eat now? I'm starving!"

"SO GOOD!" Luffy announced as he was stuffing his face full of food. Like they said they would, they decided to feed Luffy as a way of apology.

Once the Crescent Moon pirate were completely gone, the three gathered up at Jecht and Silk's small-time café as they introduced themselves properly while the mayor went about to check on the rest of the village. What Silk and Jecht didn't anticipate was how large Luffy appetite was.

Both Jecht and Silk were frozen in a stupor state as they just watched Luffy devour all the food placed in front of him without any effort.

"Some appetite you got there…Anyway sorry about attacking you like that. Thought you were attacking my sister there for a moment." Jecht said as he started to eat from his plate as well.

Silk approached Luffy with his hat after she just fixed it and gave it to him. "And here's your hat. Sorry for damaging it as well."

"It's fine! You guys fed me and fixed my hat. You guys are good in my book!" Luffy said in-between eating his food.

"Still…funny how your treasure is that hat of yours." Silk said, which garnered Jecht attention.

"Treasure?" Jecht questioned as he looked at the simple straw-hat that rested beside Luffy on the table. It didn't look all that special to him.

"You think? GULP!" Luffy replied as he gulped down the last bit of food left for him and went to pick up his hat and looked at it, thinking back to when he first got it.

(One Piece~The Fight Continues 2)

"Someone very special gave me this hat. It means a lot to me. I made a pledge with him with this hat. That someday I will build a great crew and become King of the Pirates!" Luffy said as he thought back to that fateful day that red-haired man set his dream oncourse.

"King of the pirates huh? That's a pretty lofty dream you got there. Think you can actually do it?" Jecht asked with an amused smirk. Thinking Luffy was just another kid with too big of a dream to accomplish.

However, his smirk vanished when Luffy looked at him with such a confident look, he almost believed him after what he said next. "Of course, I will!"

Silk too was taken aback a bit by Luffy declaration. "Are you really a pirate?"

Luffy just smiled as he happily put his hat back on his head. "Well maybe not right now as I don't' have a crew. But eventually I am just going to be a normal pirate, sailing for adventure and One Piece! Shishsishi! Oh, though I won't be a normal pirate once I become King of the Pirates."

Silk smiled at how simply minded Luffy was but Jecht…He continued to stare at Luffy with a very serious look. As if trying to read Luffy in a deeper manner.

"What about you two? You say your siblings but you don't look anything like each other." Luffy bluntly asked, wanting to know more about the two himself.

And Luffy was right, between the two skin, hair and eye color. The two had nothing in common when it came to their appearance.

Jecht merely gave a casual shrugged, as if asked the same question before. "Us? Just a couple of bastard children left by their parents."

Luffy raised a confused eyebrow at Jecht while Silk glared at him and elbowed him in his side. "You don't have to say it like that! But your right. Me and Jecht were both orphaned as babies and raised by the townsfolks. He was found on a small boat after a raging storm and me…two years later pirates attacked the town and left me behind. Making me the abandon daughter of a pirate."

Luffy was surprised to hear that from Silk. Jecht nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah…this town used to be a major target for pirates. On one of those raids, they left Silk behind. I am 2 years older than her but we pretty much grew up together as siblings."

"Used to? You mean pirates don't attack this place anymore?" Luffy asked as he picked up what Jecht said.

Jecht nodded as he placed his right hand on his prosthetic left wrist. "Yeah…let's just say after one of their raids, they went too far and I decided to do something about it…I have been this towns protector for a while and beat back every single pirate attack."

"Both me and Silk…This town means everything to us as well as each other. They could have just dropped us at an orphanage but they all took the time to help raise us in this town. If anything were to happened…" Jecht said as he looked out the window with a distant look.

Luffy however looked at him in astonishment. "Wow, really? Guess you have to be with how easy you beat those guys back there!"

"Of course he is, even without his Devil Fruit powers, Jecht has always been stronger than anyone else in the town. No one has even come close to beating him in a fight!" Silk praised, looking back on the countless times pirates attack while Jecht effortlessly beating them.

"Eh…" Luffy said as he looked at Jecht with a new interest. While Jecht himself just took on the praise unopposed as he took a drink from his cup.

"So…let me get this straight…" A voice in the darkness of a fancy ship cabin spoke. There kneeling in front of the person speaking was a bruised up Gally, looking mighty fearful at the man before him.

"Not only did you fail to take over that town but you didn't capture a single person AND were beaten up by some kids?" The man asked in an irritated town as he tapped his fingers on the armrest of his seat.

"B-b-but they weren't ordinary kids! T-two of them had Devil Fruit abilities! Our weapons couldn't do anything to them!" Gally tried to explain in a panic toned but was silenced when the man slammed his fist on his chair.

"Excuses! How am I supposed to build one of the strongest pirate armies in East Blue if my men are being beaten by kids?! Lucky for you I am merciful…Zap!...prepare the Devil's Tower." The man in the shadows announced to on of his subordinate.

The subordinate in question was a tall, bulky man with dark tanned skin a long light red hair and matching beard. He is wearing a dark red sleeveless captain's coat with dark yellow shredded strings on his shoulders and at the bottom of the coat. He wears a helmet on top of his head and a set of furry grey claws on each hand. He wears light gray pants and dark gray shoes.

"Aye, Captain Ganzack!" Zap responded with a salute as he turned and started running to perform his job.

It was then that the appearance of the man was shown. The man was average size and build with dark purple hair and a small matching beard. He wore a simple black shirt, dark blue pants and pirate captains' hat with his crew jolly roger on it. Finally, the man wore a set of armor around his back/shoulders that had a pair of large, crablike arms attached to it and a dark blue cape.

~'Pirate Shogun' Ganzack – Bounty: 17,500,000beli~

"I will not let a bunch of snot nose kids stop me in my ambition. So, watch and learn how a REAL pirates raids, Gally!" Ganzack told Gally with a sadistic smile. All Gally could do was swallow hard at seeing the 'Devil's Tower' in action once more.

Outside the ship, multiple pirates were getting to work. Turning cranks and pulling on rope. In the middle of the ship was a giant tower that was slowly being moved towards a specific direction.

"MOVE IT UP YOU BILGRATS! The captain wanted this town taken over yesterday! And we are more then happy to comply! Especially since we have been given permission to use…THE DEVIL'S TOWER!" Zap commanded with an evil laugh as a loud CLANK sound was heard.

KABOOM!

The townsfolks of Grey Town were happily cleaning up the mess left behind by Gally and Jecht fight. Mayor Flint himself was sweeping away some rubble as he took a break to wipe some sweat from his forehead when he sudden started to hear a noise.

"Huh? What's that sound?' Flint asked as he looked for the source of the sound. To him and some of the other folks, it sounds like a very loud whistle, and it was getting louder.

Flint then eventually looked up and he dropped his broom in shock and fear at what he saw. Before he could even announce anything to the town, everything went up in smoke and flames.

BOOM!

A loud explosion rang out followed by an intense shockwave that shattered the glass to Silk and Jecht home and sent the three flying back. After a moment of stillness, Jecht threw off the table that was atop of him and Silk and he looked around in a panic. "What the hell just happened?!"

"Ow, my head. What was that loud noise?" Luffy asked as he got up from the floor as well and shook his head. Eventually the three rush outside to see what happened and what they saw shocked them.

Flames had started to rage throughout the town, civilians were running in panic and fear, several buildings were damage from whatever started this mess, and some people lied unconscious on the ground from the impact.

Silk placed her hands on her mouth as she stared in pure horror at the carnage before her. Luffy remained still with a neutral express but one look into his eyes and you can tell he was angry.

And Jecht…Jecht clench his fist tightly and gritted his teeth and pure fury. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!"

"JECHT!" The three turned to find Mayor Flint limping while holding his arm, wounds can be seen clearly on him as he approached the three.

"Mayor Flint! Are you okay?!" Silk asked as the three rushed to his side and she helped hold the mayor.

"It…it all happened so fast. I couldn't even utter a warning before it fell…" Flint started coughing as Silk held him tighter to hold his balance.

"Fell? What fell that could cause this much damage?!" Jecht asked, wanting to know the cause of his towns condition.

"It…it was a cannon ball! A giant one, it must have been fired by another pirate ship or-" Flint was stopped as a new sound was heard among the chaos, the sound of several men screaming.

Down by the docks, a large battalion sized ship with a large towering cannon in the middle, several pirates started charging off the ship and assaulting the burning town. Going after any homes still standing and the panicking people as well.

"Those bastards! They sent the town aflame so that they could attack it easier! Silk, get the mayor to safety. Luffy, you're with me. Help any townsfolks you can and beat any pirates you find!" Jecht ordered as Luffy nodded, while Silk looked at her brother worriedly.

"You just be carful, okay Jecht?" Silk asked, Jecht gave her his signature smirk as he nodded, soon him and Luffy rushed into town to save it.

Silk and Flint could only look out at the two as they disappeared among the ashes and flames of the town. "…Come on Mayor. We need to treat those wounds."

As Silk said this however, she wasn't aware of a large figure behind her and Flint. When she did realize something was behind her, she quickly turned and around.

Blood soon splattered in the air shortly after.

"PISS OFF!" Jecht shouted as he punched a pirate in the face, getting him off a woman he was harassing. Jecht then turned around and helped the woman up. She thanked him and ran off the where everyone else was going for safety.

Jecht looked around at his surroundings. Between helping people caught in rubble and the pirates going after the ones that weren't. Jecht really had his hands full for once….and he didn't like it.

Luffy was using his strength to lift a giant wooden pillar off some kids that got caught underneath it. The kids cheered and were amazed by Luffy strength as he threw it off to the side.

Jecht smiled, seeing that more townsfolks were being helped but he also noticed something else. The pirates' numbers were thinning fast. Faster than what he was expecting.

"JECHT!" Jecht turned around to see one of the defending townsfolks running up to him while holding a spear.

"Jecht, the…the pirates are falling back!" The townsfolk said in a panic tone. Jecht knew there was more to it based on the guy's expression.

"Usually that's a good thing but…there's more isn't there?' Jecht asked in a serious tone.

The guy nodded. "Yes, they…they have kidnapped some of the towns people and…" The man paused, worried to tell Jecht what else he saw.

"And? And what else man, tell me?!" Jecht asked in an impatient tone. It was bad enough that people have been taken already, what else could be worse.

The man swallowed hard as he garnered his courage. "I…I saw them carrying two other people, they…they took Silk and the Mayor as well!"

Jecht eye's shrink in shock as he just stared at the man before him at what he said. "What…did you just say?"
