He stood in front of the mudblood, pointing his wand at her and telling her to stand aside. Yet she refused. HOW DARE SHE, A MUDBLOOD, REFUSE LORD VOLDEMORT, THE HEIR OF SLYTHERIN. "Stand aside, silly girl, and you will be rewarded. You may be with Severus. He asked me to spare you." said Voldemort. "No, please don't. My baby. And I would rather die than be with that." Said the woman. Now you may wonder, who is this woman? Her name is Lily Potter nee Evans. She is the Lady of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter and through her the Main Line of the House of Slytherin. Her son, Harry James Potter, the fifteen-month-old she was protecting, was the Heir to several prominent houses. The main ones being House Potter through his now-dead father, James Potter, Lord of the Most Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter, and House Slytherin through his mother. There are more of course, but never you mind, all in good time. His mother of course knew of her own, full heritage. Yet to her it did not matter, all that matters was protecting her precious son. Lily Potter had taken precautions when she had learned of the prophecy and the fact that Voldemort, or Tom Marvolo Riddle as his actual name is, was after her only child. Lily protected what was hers very zealously and jealously. To her, her son is and always will be the most precious thing ever. She was able to access stuff from the Potter, Slytherin, and other families to protect her son. "Move over and let me kill him, you mudblood," said Voldemort once more. "No, never. Please spare him, please." was the response from Lily Potter. Having had enough, Voldemort raised his wand once more and shot the Killing Curse at Lily Potter. Then he turned his wand to the child in the crib and again let the Killing Curse lose from his wand. But the reaction was unexpected. It hit the child and then bounced off him to Voldemort, causing a lot of backlash. Fortunately, Harry was protected not only because of the Life-for-Life Ritual Lily Potter had done but also because of Lord Death and Lady Magic. Then Death, who had been watching along with Lady Magic, descended and took the souls of both James and Lily Potter, the former of which put up a bit of a fight while the latter came peacefully albeit both sad. Death then walked over to the crying and bleeding child, Death vanished the blood and soothed the boy and eventually, Harry stopped crying. The child then looked up at Death for a moment and then Harry smiled and reached out to the entity, cooing. Death smiled fondly at his Master. Even as a toddler, he was not scared. Harry Potter would be a powerful wizard to be reckoned with. Death then scanned his Master to make sure that Harry didn't have anything foreign or harmful in his body. When Death got to the scar and saw what was lodged in it, he grew angry. But before he could scare the child, he quickly calmed down and healed Harry's scar. As he did, a wailing sound and black smoke came out of the child's scar, meaning that the piece of Tom Riddle's soul that was lodged in Harry's scar had come out. Death then made a few waves of his hand, making sure that if something happened to the child while he or Lady Magic weren't watching him then both of them would be alerted. Death also made sure the magic bindings James Potter had put on Harry's core to protect him would come off little by little every year until Harry turned six, at which point Harry would be strong enough to not be a danger to those around him and himself with his large magical core. Death also made sure that no one would be able to make up stories and false stuff about Harry and that everyone that was old enough to understand was told the truth of what actually happened here. With that Death returned to his realm and personally escorted Lily and James Potter to their place in the afterlife. Death then came back to Severus Snape on the floor, clutching Lily Potter's body and crying in grief. The entity felt something off about Severus Snape and so Death scanned him for anything unusual. Death found potions in Snape's blood and compulsions and spells on him, and so Death removed them. They had been keyed to Tom Riddle, better known as Lord Voldemort. Death growled in anger and frustration, seems like he had some work to do. Severus then went over to Harry and kissed the boy on the forehead. "I am sorry child, I am sorry." Harry just reached for the man. Severus then picked him up and cuddled him. "Unca Thev-Thev," cooed Harry. The older man was shocked as Harry had never met him. Severus figured that Lily must have shown Harry pictures of him with stories. Severus also knew that James Potter had approved of the friendship between him and Lily. Severus and the entity in the shadows then heard someone enter the cottage. Severus quickly checked who it was and put Harry down and went into the shadows to watch and make sure Harry was put in safe hands. Soon Sirius Black, Harry's godfather, came in. "Lily," yelled Sirius, going to her. "Unca Pa'foo!" cried out Harry, reaching for the man. "Harry," Sirius breathed. Sirius quickly went over to the toddler and picked him up and hugged him. "Mama? Papa?" asked Harry. "They're gone, pup," said Sirius to Harry, knowing the child would have some understanding. "Unca Mooey?" asked Harry. "I don't know where he is, Prongslet. But I'll try to find him," said the dog animagus. Then Sirius then proceeded to go outside, intent on adopting Harry and taking on his guardianship of the boy, as he is supposed to. On the way, they stopped at both Lily's and James' bodies so Harry could say bye. When they reached outside, Sirius spotted Hagrid. "Hello, Hagrid." "Hello, Sirius. I see you got Harry there. Here, give 'im to me. Dumbledore will put him somewhere safe." responded Hagrid. "No, Hagrid, He's my godson. I have to protect him," said Sirius, pulling Harry closer to himself. "Sirius please, Dumbledore will keep him safe. The Headmaster is going to put Harry with people that will protect him," begged Hagrid. Sirius thought about it and then nodded. "Okay, Harry better be safe," responded Sirius. "He will be," said Hagrid. Sirius handed Harry to Hagrid, along with his motorcycle. They then parted ways, Hagrid to Dumbledore and Sirius to track down Peter Pettigrew. In the next few days, Sirius was charged with killing Pettigrew and thirteen other muggles along with giving away the Potters. Sirius was chucked into Azkaban without a trial and barely any evidence other than the fact that he was found on the scene muttering "I killed James and Lily, it's all my fault" over and over again.
Lord Death, Lady Magic, and Severus Snape all growled in frustration as they saw what Sirius did that got him wrongly thrown in jail. But they couldn't do anything about it right now as all of them had responsibilities that were more important, like Harry Potter for Death and Magic. While Sirius had been talking to Hagrid, all of the things in the cottage glowed and then disappeared. They weren't all that worried as House Potter was one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight. All of the Sacred Twenty-Eight had a magic in their blood and family that whenever the current Lady and Lord of the House die and the Heir is not of age to understand or have it or if there are no more of the certain family then all the items that are out of the Family Vault go back to the Family Vault no matter where they are. Every Sacred 28's Family Vault also has a well in the back corner that only those of blood can see. The Well cleanses everything that is added or brought back to the Vault. So as all the things out of the Vault came back in, they immediately went to the Well to be cleansed no matter if they needed it or not. Lily and James Potter's personal things had glowed and disappeared as well. Others that are not a part of the Sacred 28 or are can have the spell on their own personal vault. Now no one would be able to get anything out of the vault without those of blood. If they tried, they would be severely punished.
The two days before Harry was dropped off at the Dursleys, the toddler was at Hogwarts. When no one was with the child, Magic and Death looked over him, making sure the child was safe and sound. Lady Magic and Lord Death put protections and blessings over the child to make sure he wasn't hurt unnecessarily or badly, nor was he taken or kidnapped. Basically, protections over Harry to prevent the child from endangerment. But the day came when Albus Dumbledore placed the child at Petunia Dursley nee Evans' house. The old man didn't even wait until morning nor did he place the child in the woman's arms himself. The man just dropped off the baby on the doorstep in the middle of the night with a letter, like a milk bottle. McGonagall had protested of course, but Dumbledore did not listen. Death and Magic had not been watching the child as they both had a couple of things to do, so when they found out what happened and where the child was, they were livid. They couldn't do anything about it though as they were too late to be able to. Lord Death and Lady Magic had looked into Harry Potter's ancestry and went to make sure the vaults the child would inherit along with the finances and monies were in up-to-date condition and would be in these conditions until Harry himself could take care of himself. They also made sure the goblin that was taking care of the finances was not a traitor to his clan and People and made sure that investments were made in both the muggle and wizard worlds. They also made sure that whatever Harry was to inherit would never be withdrawn from unless it was Death, Magic, Harry's guardian, or Harry himself. As for the guardian bit, Sirius Black was Harry's legal guardian. And since Black was innocent, he had sole custody of Harry. And since Sirius was in Azkaban then no one else would be able to withdraw anything as Harry's supposed guardian.
A few years passed and life was becoming peaceful. Aurors had reached the Potter Cottage in Godric's Hollow and inspected the damage. They made sure to scan the whole house with the right people. They then made what really happened public. Every wizarding world around the globe heard what happened and celebrated the downfall of Voldemort. But they also mourned the Boy-Who-Lived. They mourned the fact that a child would grow up without their parents for years. Dumbledore's influence had grown as Chief Warlock, he implemented a lot of laws that were beneficial to all. He also passed laws regarding creatures such as werewolves. He made laws that would help all creatures to not be a danger to everyone and themselves. He even passed laws regarding those creatures that had their governments. But it was a little slow as there was opposition. But in the end, the bills and laws passed. Some still complained, of course, but in the end, they stopped as they saw the good the was coming into the wizarding world.
After the incident with the Potters, Severus Snape had gone to Dumbledore saying that he regretted how he was the one to go to Voldemort with the prophecy information. Snape asked the Headmaster to protect him, he would do anything for it. The headmaster agreed but on a couple of conditions. "You must give Oath that you will get your teaching credentials and training up to date and treat every student fairly no matter what House they are in at Hogwarts and no matter their names or who their parents are," said Dumbledore. Snape then pulled out his wand and held it out in front of him. "I, Severus Tobias Snape, Heir to the Most Ancient and Noble House of Prince, swear to abide by the conditions set by Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts School Witchcraft and Wizardry, in exchange for protection and my freedom. So I say it, So mote it be." "So mote it be," echoed Albus Dumbledore. After that, Snape had quickly gone to get credentials and training to be able to teach. And soon he was teaching at Hogwarts as the Potions Master and Slytherin Head of House. Although he followed his oath, Snape quickly became known as the strict dungeon bat of Hogwarts.
Along with his duties in the WIzengamot as Chief Warlock and the International Confederation of Wizards (ICW) as the Supreme Mugwump, Albus had reformed Hogwarts back to his glory in just one Hogwarts school year. There were still problems though, of course, Hogwarts is a school after all. Albus had brought back a lot of classes that were taken off the Hogwarts curriculum along with making sure the classes new and old stay up to date each year. Many classrooms and hallways started being used again and Hogwarts was thriving. It became the school of envy once more. There were classes like Wizarding Studies and Muggle Studies mandatory core classes until fifth year. Muggle Studies for Wizard-Raised and Wizarding Classes for Muggle-Raised. All in all, everyone and everything magical was prospering in Great Britain.
Although there was one magical person that wasn't happy or prospering. Harry Potter. He was now 7 years old. He lived with his magic-hating and abusive relatives. Vernon and Petunia Dursley. Harry was… not treated well at all. From the time he was at 4 Privet Drive to the present time, he was made to do chores that Dudley was not and over time Harry did everything in the house. Cooking, cleaning, you name it. Even Dudley was abusive towards Harry. Harry of course knew that these vile people were not his parents. He had asked Petunia about his parents himself and all she told little Harry was they died in a car crash. But Harry soon found out it was a lie. Harry had suspected of course. He is a smart young mind. Harry had been told by Death and Magic what had happened. They taught and told Harry everything he was supposed to know as an Heir to many prominent Houses of the Wizarding World. Dumbledore had mostly forgotten about Harry. The headmaster had put Arabella Figg to look out for Harry and to send reports. But Albus never looked at the reports thoroughly, it was skimmed through. Albus had gotten very busy with all his jobs. Of course, that was no excuse to forget about someone as important as Harry. Nevertheless, it was true. At least little Harry has Death and Magic to take care of him.
