It was a beautiful day at Beacon Academy. The sun was shining, and Teams RWBY and JNPR were relaxing in their dorm rooms as Headmaster Ozpin had decided to give his students the day off. The reason? On the previous day, a subway train crashed into Vale, allowing Grimm into the city. Though the invasion had been thwarted, and the hole in the streets repaired, it was a stressful and frightening experience for all involved, so the students were happy to get a day to reflect on what had happened.

The relaxation was short-lived, however, as the members of Teams RWBY and JNPR, as well as Ozpin himself, were suddenly transported to a small theater with comfortable chairs and a large projector screen.

"Wha…?" asked a confused and groggy Yang, having been woken up from a nap.

"What is this place?" asked Jaune.

"How did we get here?" asked Weiss.

"Now, now, children, I'm sure if we are observant, then everything will be explained to us" said Ozpin.

As if on cue, a voice came on through the speaker system.

Hello everyone. My name is Kevin, and I am the one who brought you here. Now, this will probably sound crazy to you, but I come from a different universe.

"There are other universes?" asked Pyrrha. "I wonder what they're like."

While you live in a universe where Remnant is a real place, in my universe, your world is the creation of a visionary writer named Monty Oum.

"Monty Oum?" asked Ren. "Doctor Oobleck mentioned an ancient religion that worshipped a figure with that name. So, in Kevin's universe, Monty was a real person?"

All of you are major characters in the story he wrote. Furthermore, he took inspiration from the legends and fairy tales of my world in creating all of you.

"I'm a legend!" exclaimed Nora.

So, I thought it would be interesting to have you watch film adaptations of the stories that inspired you. Ozpin, I know you are fond of fairy tales, and Yang, I know you read stories to Ruby when you were younger.

"It'll be like when we were kids, sis!" said Yang, pulling her sister into a side-hug. Ruby smiled at this.

Since these films are adapted from fairy tales and other classic stories, most of them will be targeted towards children.

"Aww, no leg breaking" said Nora.

"Nora, I worry about you" said Ren.

The nine of you will be here for all of the films. I will have guests join you as their specific films come up, and they will be sent back where they came from when their films are finished.

"Why not have everyone watch all the films?" asked Pyrrha.

I don't want this room to get overcrowded.

"Fair enough" said Jaune.

"Wait, how long is this going to take?" asked Weiss. "Aren't people going to notice we've gone missing?"

When you have finished watching all of the films, you will be transported back to the time and place you left from. It will be as though no time had passed at all.

"Well there's your answer" said Blake.

The door to your left leads to a replica of Professor Ozpin's office. To your right, a dining hall. And behind you, replicas of your dorm rooms. I'm hoping that adding some familiar places will help you feel more comfortable while you're here. However, you won't be allowed to leave until you have seen all of the films.

"That was really thoughtful" said Pyrrha.

I should warn you that some of the guests I bring in are people you don't like very much. Just to be on the safe side, I have taken the liberty of confiscating your weapons and disabling your semblances, and will do the same for all guests. You will get them back when you leave here.

"No! My baby!" cried Ruby. Weiss, Blake, and Yang rolled their eyes and smiled.

"Mr. Kevin?" asked Blake. "You said that we are fictional characters in your universe. Does that mean you know our secrets, or maybe our futures?"

Everyone shifted nervously at Blake's question.

Firstly, it's just Kevin, you don't need to call me "mister". And to answer your question, yes, I do know secrets about many of you, however, I will not reveal them. You may reveal them yourselves if you wish, but I will not force you to do so. As for your futures, I know them up to roughly two years from now, but again, I will not reveal them, as I cannot predict what the outcome would be if I do.

Everyone breathed a sigh of both relief and disappointment.

I suppose I should also mention that there are limits to what I can do. First, I can't kill anyone. Second, I can't make anyone fall in love with anyone else. And third, I can't bring anyone back from the dead.

"We understand. Thank you Kevin" said Ruby.

Ozpin's curiosity wasn't satisfied, however. "Would you mind telling me more about your world, Kevin?" he asked.

Not at all. In some ways, it's similar to Remnant. In others, it is not. Like Remnant, we have a variety of climates and biomes, and huge oceans. We have a moon, although ours isn't broken like yours. On the plus side, we don't have Grimm, but on the other hand, we don't have aura, semblances, dust, or Faunus.

"No Faunus?" asked Blake. "That must mean you don't have prejudiced people."

I wish that were true, Blake, but sadly, it is not.

"I'm sorry to hear that" said Blake.

Thank you. Now, are there any more questions?

Everyone looked around, but no one asked anything.

In that case, I should tell you that there is one story for which I was unable to find a feature-length film adaptation. I will do a dramatic reading of that story first, and then the films will begin. Is everyone okay with this?

"Fine with me" said Ren, with everyone nodding in agreement.

Great! Let me bring in the guest for that story.

With that, Junior Xiong appeared in the theater. "Really?" said Yang.

Yang and Junior, get ready to listen to your story, "Goldilocks and the Three Bears".
