Annabeth looked at the man sitting next to her. She studied his long black locks that his hands had been playing with all night. She looked at his lips, which were gushing information to her best friend about something they had gone over in biology the previous day. She thought about how sweet those lips would taste. Pink, soft and warm. Then she looked at his eyes. They were an endless sea in the middle of a storm. The dark blue with undertones of bright green, creating the feeling of sailing. She could get lost in those eyes for hours. Correction- she had gotten lost in those eyes for hours before.

She moved down his body from there. His toned chest, with muscles ripping through the tight-fit wight shirt he was wearing. He had worn a blue AHS swim team sweatshirt here, but Annabeth stole it as soon as he walked in the door. She scanned his torso, where she knew an eight-pack was hiding, and could feel the hard flesh on the fingertips from all the times she'd layed in bed tracing them until he fell asleep. She also knew about the scars he was hiding under his shirt.

She moved her gaze to his perfectly sculpted arms, muscular from years of sword-fighting, and swimming. Not to mention the tattoo on his left shoulder. It was the outline of a sun, with black-ink, with her name written on the inside. Well, her nickname, Wisegirl. When he showed it to her for the first time, she cried because he had called her his sun. She said that he wouldn't be able to live without her, because the sun is vital for humankind's survival, just like she was vital for him. But Annabeth thought that it was the opposite.

Percy was the sun, always shining and happy, even if it was faked. He made everyone around him feel warm and safe. He was the main character in his story. She was the rain. She was the thing everyone either dreaded or prayed for. She was the translucent drops of water in Percy's story. But in the grand scheme of things, she was nobody's side-kick. Because when her clouds shifted to let Percy through on a rainy day, his bright rays reflected off of her, causing an array of colors. Together, they were a rainbow.

Movie Night At The Jackson's

The sound of rain mingled with the music of 'Cinderella', which was playing in the Jackson's living room. The storm had rolled in that morning, and had yet to stop. Estelle was at the 'Disney is all there is.' age, therefore for movie night, they were binge watching the classics. Sally had put the first film on around three, and it was now eight. The Jackson family had gone through four movies already. The five of them, Percy, Sally, Estelle, Paul, and Annabeth that is, all agreed on ending the night after Cinderella.

The first movie they'd watched had been Mulan. Annabeth had started out cuddling up next to Percy, with Estelle on her other side. Estelle had taken a liking to Annabeth as soon as she'd moved in with them a month before. Anywhere Annabeth went around the house, Estelle was right behind her. She thought it was adorable, while Percy complained about ' You're already my mother's favorite. Did you have to take my sister too?' During the movie however, Annabeth landed on Percy's other side, with Estelle sitting in between the two. Sally and Paul took the loveseat next to the couch.

The second movie had been 'The Little Mermaid' per Percy's request. He belted all of the lyrics to 'Under the Sea' so loudly, that Annabeth knew the neighbors could hear it. Sally laughed at her son, and Estelle tried to sing along with him without knowing any of the lyrics except for 'Under da Sea'. Paul looked mildly embarrassed about their volume, while Annabeth rolled her eyes, and told him to quiet down, which he ignored.

The third movie was Sally's favorite, 'The Lion King'. Estelle was sitting in her mother's lap when it began, and it was going well until Scar and hyena's song started playing. Estelle ran out of the room screaming. Annabeth ran after her, and into her purple bedroom. Shecalmed the girl, and waited until the hyena part was over before leading Estelle back into the living room, who immediately ran to her brother, jumping into his lap. Sally covered them with Estelle's favorite blanket, to keep her from getting as scared the next time.

The fourth movie of the night was Disney's 'Hercules'. Both demigods groaned, and corrected every mythological mistake. They both agreed that their hatred for Hercules was called for, however all five family members knew the songs word-for-word. Annabeth counted around nine forehead slaps from her boyfriend. Each time Zues came onto the screen, he facepalmed, and sighed "Why is Poseidon not in this movie?" Estelle loved it.

And finally Cinderella. Estelle was still on Percy's lap, but she was asleep. Percy kept completely still in order not to wake her. But he couldn't help herself whenever GusGus said 'Cinderelli' when referring to Cinderella. He whispered it with GusGus, and Annabeth would laugh silently to herself. The big bad hero of Olympus had a soft spot for a mouse. It made her heart flutter to see her boyfriend so sweet and gentle. The rain finally stopped when the credits rolled. After all they had been through, she knew that they deserved this. A family, and a normal life. Hopefully one day, that family would grow, but she was going to wait a little longer.
