Note: I really loved this show! :) And these 2 were my favorite couple.
Their wedding anniversary was coming up, and Bud wanted to make it special.
His big plan was: Give his wife flowers, which includes a free coupon for a spa day, then a romantic dinner reservation.
The plan was falling into place. He had ordered the flowers, got the coupon, and made the reservation.
On the big day
Harriet woke up to a big bouquet of daisies on her night stand.
'How lovely!' She thought. Then she read the note attached to it:
'Happy anniversary, honey! I have a big surprise for you tonight, so here's a free coupon for a spa day while I get everything ready. And don't worry, I found a reliable babysitter for tonight. Bud.'
'He's so sweet!' She happily thought.
She went downstairs and gave her husband a big hug.
'Thank you so much!' She said.
Blushing. 'You're welcome, dear!'
That evening, they were all set for a great dinner, until they found out after they got there that the place they wanted to eat at lost their reservation.
Bud couldn't believe it. His plan for a perfect anniversary had gone down the drain in 1 instant.
They went home disappointed.
Seeing how unhappy Bud was, Harriet tried to cheer him up.
'Hey, don't be so hard on yourself, Bud.' She said.
'Can't help it. Today was going so well until now! How does that happen?!' Bud cried out.
'More often then you think. But regardless of that, today has been great! I loved the flowers, I got to relax for the first time in a long time, now I get to spend tonight with you! I can't think of a better way to spend an anniversary!'
Realizing right then just how blessed he was to have such a wonderful and understanding wife, Bud kissed her and said:
'I love you so much!'
'I love you too.' Harriet replied.
