Pokétopia, a world solely inhabited by the amazing creatures known as Pokémon. A world where Pokémon have a functioning society that revolves around Rescue Teams, squads of elite Pokémon tasked in aiding their brethren in whatever they need, and the Guilds from where they are formed. Whether it be helping out with manual labor, bringing criminals to justice, or exploring the unknown phenomenon known as Mystery Dungeons, Rescue Teams are one of the most efficient ways to make a living. There are other options for a set life, such as completing school and pursuing a further education, setting up a small business that can grow, or contributing your hand-on-hand skills by working a set job in the workforce.
To some, any of those alternative options would suffice, while others would step outside their comfort zones and forge their own paths. As for 2 certain Pokémon, they have been best friends for as long as they can remember. Despite having to deal with the difficulties of being young, they are determined to achieve their one goal; to be the very best Rescue Team duo like no one ever was. They will encounter many Pokémon on their travels, either friend or foe, as well as endure many hardships together, if their friendship is anything to go by. Their journey to rise above the ranks is about to unfold, and it all starts in the dungeons.
[Intro Instrumental]
*A panning shot of a Pokémon village somewhere in the Grass Continent. It passes by the forest, the shops, and the guild, until it slows to a stop at a small house. It zooms in to reveal a Charmander sleeping soundly in his bed, and as the music picks up, he slowly wakes up with an eager smile on his face. He then grabs his Rescue Team satchel , puts on his badge and trademark pecha scarf and walks out of his house. As he's walking onto the path in front of him, his best friend Dratini is patiently waiting for him while wearing a scarf and badge of his own.
Dratini: Good morning
I've been waiting for you
But, no more waiting
It's time for an adventure
*Dratini slithers towards Charmander and gives him a high-five (tail-five?) before gesturing to him to follow him.
And maybe we'll save a friend or two,
You know, all we gotta do
Is do it all together.
*The two Pokémon start walking down the path towards the guild they work at in the town square.
Charmander: Two brave heroes are better than one
And me and you are gonna be, are gonna
Be a phenomenon
*The two keep walking as they pass by the many Pokémon in the village, smiling and waving to them as they move along.
Red or blue, we're the rescue team
That they've all been waiting for, so
Let's go make history!
*They then stop at the entrance to the guild before briefly glancing at each other and adjusting their scarves and badges, before entering the guild hall with smiles of determination.
C & D: Hi-ho, to the dungeons we go
Can you hear the caves calling out our names?
Another day, another battle,
One more escapade,
One more job to do today.
*The scene transitions to them entering the cave entrance of a local Mystery Dungeon, with them marching to the beat of the song while actively looking around for items, their objective, enemy feral Pokémon, etc.
[Instrumental]
*Cuts to multiple still-shots of them doing miscellaneous things. (1 still-shot of them with their backs against each other battling feral Pokémon [Geodude, Shroomish, Mankey, and Machop] using Flamethrower and Dragon Breath. Transitions to another still-shot of them rescuing a scared Plusle from a steep cliffside, with Dratini dangling on a rope held by Charmander who was lowering him down. Transitions to another still-shot of them waving goodbye to a Clefable after they had collected their reward, before transition to them undergoing a brief evolution to Charmeleon and Dragonair.) The scene then transitions to them walking through a dense forest, presumably another mystery dungeon.
Charmeleon: With every step we take,
Danger will follow closely.
We may ache and ache,
But we carry on so boldly.
*Chameleon walks forward ahead of Dragonair, with the two wearing different scarves, a different satchel, and different badges to show their increase in the ranks. As they traverse the forest-like mystery dungeon, they are remaining aware of their surroundings.
How did I get here?
It's a mystery.
Do I live in fear,
Or do I rewrite my story?
*Charmeleon then turns to look at his reflection at a nearby lake, the reflection looking back at him. It then morphs to him and Dragonair as their pre-evolved forms playing a game of tag and laughing, making Charmeleon remember the day they first met.
Dragonair: Two brave heroes are better than one
And me and you are gonna be, are gonna
Be a phenomenon
*Dragonair suddenly grabs his partner and pulls him back to avoid an oncoming projectile. He then gestures towards the 3 Beedrill and Vespiquen in their path, most likely the outlaws they were pursuing. The 4 enemy Pokémon then ready their attacks as a form of intimidation, with the Vespiquen smirking at the duo.
Red or blue, we're the rescue team
That they've all been waiting for, so
Let's go make history!
*The shot cuts back to Charmeleon and Dragonair, looking at each other and nodding in approval. Charmeleon preps a Metal Claw attack while Dragonair preps a Dragon Tail. The 2 groups of Pokémon stare at each other before they charge at each other and a fight breaks out.
C & D: Hi-ho, to the dungeons we go
Can you hear the caves calling out our names?
*The scene transitions to Charmeleon and Dragonair trekking through a harsh snowstorm to reach their destination, both struggling to move forward.
Another day, another battle,
One more escapade,
One more job to do today.
*Charmeleon stumbles forward and almost falls in the snow, only to be stopped by Dragonair rushing forward to break his fall. He then lifts him up with Charmeleon giving him a grateful thumbs up and putting his arm around him before the two move on.
[Instrumental]
*Cuts to multiple still-shots of them doing miscellaneous things. (A still-shot of them helping a Conkledurr transport logs to a construction site with Charmeleon carrying two steel beams and Dragonair pulling two logs. Transitions to another still-shot of them reuniting an Eevee with their Espeon and Umbreon parents, with the Eevee embracing them in a hug while Charmeleon and Dragonair watch from a distance with relaxed smiles. Transitions to another shot of them in robes while standing next to a Gallade in front of an audience, with the Gallade handing them diplomas to officially congratulate them for graduating from his guild. The scene then transitions to them undergoing a brief evolution to their final forms, then to them standing on top of the rooftop of their official team base while staring at the sunset.)
Dragonite: Maybe I'm dreaming, comatose,
But it feels like I'm always on my toes.
*Dragonite admires the sunset before turning towards Charizard with a satisfied grin on his face.
Charizard: Can't take this new life for granted,
Today and everyday, I'll make it worth it.
*Charizard turns to Dragonite with a determined look on his face as his tail flame ignites with passion. He puts his claw into a fist before pointing it at Dragonite, with Dragonite doing the same, making the two do a fist bump.
C & D: Hi-ho, to the dungeons we go
Can you hear the caves calling out our names?
*Scene transitions to a shot of Charizard and Dragonite getting ready for their next expedition, with Charizard tightening his scarf and elite badge and Dragonite adjusting a large satchel around his arm. The two then decide that they are well-prepared and head out the door.
Another day, another battle,
One more escapade,
One more job to do today.
*Transitions to them approaching a large boat ready to depart to a different continent. Charizard and Dragonite look at each other and do a quick fist bump before boarding.
[Instrumental]
*Cuts a wide shot of the boat leaving the village docks. Charizard and Dragonite then go to the front and stare at the oceanic horizon with a bunch of water-type Pokémon (Horsea, Lapras, Magikarp, etc.) swimming and jumping about.
C & D: With every step we take,
Danger will follow closely.
We may ache and ache,
But we carry on.
*We cut back to Charizard and Dragonite admiring the view, before they both look at each other and nod in approval. They then shake hands with each other before raising their fists in the air, with the sun shining down on them.
[Ending Instrumental]
*The scene then slowly fades to white and transitions to a shot of 3 different picture frames sitting on a desk, one of Charizard and Dragonite next to each other crossing their arms with confident smirks on their faces, another with Charmeleon and Dragonair graduating side-by-side with accomplished facial expressions, and another of Charmander and Dratini sitting side by side giving a high-five/tail-five to each other with relaxed facial expressions.

A/N: Well, I don't know how this is going to turn out, but I am doing it. User Drago here, and this is the official teaser of my first ever Fic! If you're wondering why it is formatted like this, I decided to take the "music video" approach, as it was a pretty fun concept to do. Although this won't be the way I'll be writing this story, I can't say for certain that I'll abandon this concept altogether, as I'll be putting songs in this story at random intervals (not like a musical number, but whenever I feel like the situation calls for it and the moment is just right). Oh, and as for the story itself, all I'll tell you for now is that it is a, you guessed it, a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon story starring a Charmander and his best friend Dratini. It will be rated T and classified as Action & Adventure for now, but there will be eventual Romance in this story, so stay tuned for that. And… That's it. Looking forward to working on this.
