So if you recognize this story but if you recognize it at all I hope that explains why and I hope you still like it even though I went away for a very long time.
With every passing moment Bella's anxiety increased, soon her sweet sister would be there in a house crowded with vampires. Looking around the room she made a silent prayer that no one would hurt Danny. She knew that it was not ideal having her still human sister in a house full of vampires. But it was known that Aro wanted Danny, he had wanted her as much as he had wanted Alice. Having seen her potential through both Edward and Alice it was revealed that she would make a talented immortal. Bella knew she could not let him have her, she could not let her sister become another novelty to be added to his collection.
So until all of this chaos was done with, and the Volturi were far away, and no longer a threat, she intended to keep Danny as close as possible. And in truth there was little harm in bringing her there, all the secrets that had been kept from her were revealed during Bella's pregnancy. After Bella was changed she had seen Danny as soon as she could. Though her last visit ended with bruised ribs, Danny was quick to forgive, as she always had been.
Upon hearing the sound the gravel road crunching under the weight of Danny's car Bella rushed out sound, excited to see her sister again. Though she was also terribly worried, certain that if she were still human she would be bouncing with nervousness. She knew that if she stayed by Danny's side she could ensure that she was protected. In her head she had already decided that if anyone hurt Danny, that they would die for hurting her. It was not something she had to think over.
"Hey Bella." her sister smiled as she slipped out of the car, and as always as soon as their eyes met a smile split across her face. As her large blue eyes squinted into happy crescents, Bella smiled back walking quickly and taking her small sister into her arms. With every movement she noted to be delicate, she had already once been too over enthusiastic and cracked her ribs. That had only been a few weeks ago, but Danny walked as if nothing had happened. She had always been the more grateful of the two sisters, that was until Bella's transformation.
"I have some bad news." as soon as Bella said this her brows furrowed and her smile fell slightly, but it still lingered on her face.
"Of course you do." Danny breathed, there was a croak in her voice as she did letting Bella know that her little sister was getting sick. So instead of lingering outside in the cold she placed her hand as softly as she knew how on Danny's back and led her inside. "Bella what's happening, what's wrong, is Ness alright?"
"No one here is alright."
"Just tell me what is wrong Bel-" as soon as they had finished their walk through the house and into the room filled with vampires Danny silenced herself. While her heart skipped a beat it remained steady, showing no fear. The corners of her lips turned down into a frown and she looked to Bella with a look of confusion painted upon her face.
"Danny." the sweet voice of Renesmee sang out, running to her biological aunt. As soon as she could Renesmee wrapped her slender arms around Danny's waist, and blood filled hands came to place themselves on the child's back and head. On her sister's freckled face she could see the twinge of pain caused by the pressure to her still bruised body.
"Hello lovely." Danny laughed, holding the sides of Ness's face so that she could look at the beautiful child. As soon as green eyes met brown a hand slipped up to Danny's face, and as soon as it slipped away Danny reached into her brown leather purse and put a handful of peach flavored candies into Ness's hand. The girl smiled at the treats that had been given to her then looked back up to her aunt,
"I've made a lot of new friends since we last saw each other."
"I can see that."
"Come and meet them." the girl smiled taking her hand trying to lead her to the hoard of vampires. But Danny resisted pulling her hand back resulting in a confused look from the strange child. The girl's chocolate eyes looked at her with confusion,
"Maybe later lovely." smiled Danny, then she looked to Bella. "I need to talk to your mother first though."
"Okay Aunt Danny." the child slipped around her biological relative once again and pressed her face into the warmth of her body. Enjoying the sounds of her aunt's heart, and the pulsing of her blood. With a kiss to the top of Ness's head she tapped the girl on her shoulder allowing her to dance back off into the arms of her father. In his arms she rested as she pulled on the two ends of the plastic wrappings of the peach candy then happily placed it into her mouth.
"Emmett, help her with her coat." Esme ordered in a mothering voice, always kind and courteous to the guests in her house. And at a moment's notice the largest of the Cullens was behind her, helping her to take off her heavy coat and pulling her beanie off her red head.
"Thanks Emmett."
"No problem Dan." The baby faced giant smiled down to her, then placed her jacket and hat on a hook that hung from a door. Instinctively Bella reached out and smoothed out the girl's hair, placing the stray hairs back into place, while enjoying the soft texture of the strands and single braid in her loose hair that held her hair back from her face. As she turned to look at Bella her cold hand graced her delicate cheek. The feel of the throbbing veins beneath the flesh of her human sister always intrigued her, looking into the white around her verdant eyes she could see the smallest of veins carrying blood to an important part of Danny's body. It was so fascinating to watch that Bella almost forgot why she had brought her sister there.
"Are you hungry?" she asked,
"Well, yeah. A-a little bit." she said looking over her shoulders to look at the room of beautiful creatures. The Denalis were there as well as a tall shaggy man. The ragged man also had red eyes, but he did not seem to be associated with the group of four who looked like they were related somehow. Soon she looked back to her sister turning her back on the creatures, "But, I'll be okay, I can make myself something when I get home."
"Oh, please, do let me make you something." Esme smiled, dents in her heart shaped face appeared in her cheeks. "You should have something in your stomach before hearing the bad news."
"Come on Danny." Bella placed her hands around her shoulders and led her towards the kitchen where there was bound to be a large amount of food. Due to the wolves lurking nearby Esme knew it would only be polite to feed them, so she took to preparing large meals. And her mothering nature would not let her do anything but be kind to those who had once seen her as an enemy.
"I would really like to know what is going on." Danny said, turning back to look at her sister as soon as they were in the kitchen. Her sister's orange eyes looked to Esme's golden eyes, then they both looked to the short girl with concern painted on their faces.
"The Volturi are coming." Her dark haired sister said with nothing but fear in her eyes. Danny stood in front of her looking upwards slightly, the tips of her fingers playing with each other. Her large eyes squinted at her brows furrowed and her lips formed into a pout. Then in her kind voice she tilted her head and said with a raised eyebrow,
"The who?"
