Townsville high was highly respected, both for its academic and athletic feats. Since the power puff girls entered the school its prestige only grew.

Blossom Utonium brought unmatched intelligence to the academic team, guaranteeing their victory at every competition. Not to mention how much she brought up the test score average.

Bubbles, apart from being a cheerful face and good friend to each of her fellow students, brought the school humanitarian recognition through the many fundraisers and charity events she organized.

Buttercup wasn't quite as spirited or education focused as her sisters, but she brought the school glory in her own way. Her own way was, unsurprising to anyone who knew her, an assortment of sports and athletic competitions. She brought the school to first in the state in baseball, basketball, and football.

At any random school event opposition would groan and sigh if word got out that they would be facing Townsville. Families of other Townsville high students found themselves bringing their children, and their superhero classmates, up at any given Opportunity.

This was all without considering that the girls were balancing these achievements while also protecting the town from countless monsters, hoodlums, and villains.

In the junior year of the powderpuff girls high school career a new wind was blowing. The girls landed in front of the building and their superheating was flooded with whispers.

"What's everyone talking about?" Bubbles asked when they were on the ground.

"It's rude to use our powers to invade other people's con-" Blossom started off of her classic lectures, but Buttercup interrupted her.

"Some new kids are coming to school" she answered.

"Buttercup!" Blossom scolded her sister. "Don't you remember what I told you about people not wanting to be invaded by our powers?"

Buttercup held a hand up, opening and shutting it like a mouth mockingly. "I remember" she answered "but when everyone in the school is whispering about the same thing it's kind of hard-no dare I say it's impossible for me to ignore my curiosity"

"Don't do it again" Blossom sighed "let's go ask someone who the new students are, it must be someone important if the whole school is talking about it"

The new students everyone was whispering about turned out to be the Power Puff girls' most well matched enemies. The Rowdy Rough Boys.

"What?!" Buttercup slammed her hand down on her desk "why the hell would three super villains come here for school?"

Robyn shrugged "the gossip going around is that it's some kind of Court order"

"They've been in prison for the last 5 years" Blossom pursed her lips "maybe they've been rehabilitated"

"Oh yea, Bloss" Buttercup rolled her eyes "they've changed for the better, and next week me and the lake monster are going out for coffee"

"People can change Buttercup" Bubbles hummed, plumping herself onto Robyn's desk and crossing her legs. "They've been in prison for a long time. We should at least give them the chance to live a normal life if they're being released"

"I agree" Blossom smiled, proud of her sister's maturity. "And what better place for them to be? Here we can keep a close eye on them all day"

"Great, now I'm signed up to be a full time baby sitter for no pay"

"It's part of the whole 'hero' thing, right?" Robyn offered. "Aren't you really always an unpaid babysitter for the whole town?"

Before Buttercup could answer or, more likely, complain more about the circumstances the bell rang signaling all students should make their way to their seats.

Mr. Hawthorn stood in front of the board and started his usual morning routine. Most of the students were only listening half heartedly, their thoughts focused on fears and expectations for the rumored new students arriving today.

Blossom tried to stay focused, but her mind kept drifting to thoughts about the boys. The last time she had seen them they were being taken away in handcuffs at the age of 11 and tried in court as adults because of their powers. She had felt bad for them, they were children born into evil. Like they have no choice. If she and her sisters had been created by mojo, and the boys by the professor, would the roles be reversed?

She thought about the circumstances for the rest of class. When the bell rang again she stopped her sisters at the door. "We should volunteer to show them around"

"What?" Buttercup glared at her sister "who? The rowdies? Why would we do that?"

"Because it's the kind thing to do" Blossom answered "And because it'll let us keep a closer eye on them"

"No thanks" Buttercup ducked underneath Blossom's arm to leave the room. She turned around to offer one final thought "Fuck that mess"

Bubbles sighed as her sister walked away "I'll help you Bloss, and she'll come around. maybe"

"maybe" Blossom agreed and turned so they could walk to the next class. "We can go at lunch and talk to principal keane about it"

"I can't at lunch, there's a meeting for the pep-rally next week" Bubbles pulled her backpack straps together in front of her to adjust the position of the heavy bag. "But I'm in with you a hundred percent! Just let principal keane know I'm down for it too."

"Okay" Blossom stopped at the door to her science class, offering Bubbles a wave goodbye "make sure Buttercup shows up to class!" She called as an after thought. Bubbles and Buttercup both had math next. "Text me if she doesn't"

"Will do!" Bubbles called back.

Blossom sat in her usual seat, front row closest to the door in case of a Townsville emergency. Miss Rosenburg was already passing out work sheets when the bell rang. Her phone vibrated and she looked down to see a text from Bubbles.
