A/N: So, apparently I'm going through a dark phase at the moment? Even though everything has been going fine. I had to get this out for some reason. So bear with me.

OOOOOOOOOOO

Lay still…take it like it means nothing…it'll be over soon…

OOOOOOOO

Lana brushed her hair back away from her face as she stood in line at catering. Her mind kept wandering back to the nights that she spent with her boyfriend, Finn. Those were nightmarish nights that she didn't know how to get out of. He took and took and took from her.

"Little Lana," Elias called out, cutting in line to get close to her.

Lana's blue eyes turned towards the man who towered over her and a smile broke out on her face. "Elias," she said softly.

Elias was kind. He'd been her friend since the moment she started training for the WWE. Hell, he'd taken her under his wing and trained her himself once he found out that her real trainer was leaving. She owed him a lot in her opinion but he promised she didn't have to do anything to pay him back. Except remain the cute person that she was.

She saw him glance down at her neck where she'd tried in vain to cover a mottled bruise with makeup. His eyes narrowed and he took a deep breath. He looked like he was fighting with himself and she felt bad for being the cause.

But it wasn't her that he was mad at.

It was Finn.

"How'd it happen?" he asked.

Lana shook her head and looked down, resisting the urge to slap her hand over the bruise. "He just…gripped too hard."

"Lana…" Elias sighed before gathering her in his arms and giving her a tight hug. "When will you wake up and realize that this isn't healthy?"

The Diva wanted to melt into the hug. Elias was safe. He was like a giant bear. He was always looking out for her. Never once had he intentionally hurt her.

"I know, but I don't know how to get out," Lana whispered against his shoulder. "He's got a temper, Elias. And I don't like seeing it."

Her senses started going haywire. She knew that feeling, that presence. Her eyes turned past Elias and she saw Finn coming into the room that catering was set up in. Instant panic set in and she pulled away from Elias like an electric current had forced her away.

Please don't let him have seen…

"Lana," Finn said, finally looking in her direction. "Come with me."

Lana glanced at Elias, but it hurt. She couldn't stand to see the look in his eyes. Those soft eyes that she loved so much, now filled with a warning.

She set her plate down, untouched. It wasn't like she had the appetite for anything now that Finn was around. Casting one last glance at Elias, Lana walked over to Finn and let him take her by the hand.

OOOOOOOOOO

It's cold…why are we here? I can't stand it…Just stay still…let it happen…it'll be over soon…just stay still…

OOOOOOOOOOO

Tears fell down Lana's face as she sat in front of Elias, blood dripping from both her nose and her bottom lip. Crumpled flowers lay on her lap – a twisted apology meant for her from the person that had hurt her. She flinched as Elias took a cold, wet rag to her face.

She couldn't bear to look into his eyes. But she couldn't look anywhere else. She could see the pain in his eyes, the anger. None of it was directed at her. All of it was still for Finn.

"We're going to tell someone," Elias announced, lowering his hand.

"No…" Lana whispered, trying hard not to move her bottom lip. When did that begin to hurt so much?

"I'm not asking. I'm telling you." Elias' voice was firm, but not unkind. "There's no more next times. No more waiting. We're going to tell someone."

Lana looked down at her hands. They were shaking, so she clenched them between her thighs. She hated this. Being weak. Being small. Being unable to protect herself. Unable to argue because he was right.

Elias moved the rag away from her face when the worst of the blood was removed. Lana watched as he picked up his phone and dialed the number that she tried to avoid at all costs. Even when she was sick. All she could do was wait.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO

Ow…double ow…I thought this was over…but it's not…it's never over…he finds a way…he always, always finds a way…

OOOOOOOOOOOOO

Lana stood outside with Elias, hands shoved in the pockets of his jacket that he'd let her wear. A fire blazed feet away from them. All the things that Finn had made her wear, all the rare things that he treated her with, all the things that brought toxic memories, were burning. Releasing her from Finn's negative energy.

She glanced up at Elias and saw that he was looking down at her. Heat flooded her face and she quickly looked away. Elias gave her a small squeeze, a reminder that he was there and that she was valid.

Is it really over? All of it?...Am I free? For real?

Lana scuffed the toe of her shoe against the grass and sighed. "Thank you, Elias."

"I'd do it again if I had to. Every single thing," Elias said, staring at the fire. "No one messes with the people that I love."

The word sounded foreign to Lana. She'd never known love without consequences, except around Elias. There were good people in the WWE Universe. Finn had just hidden them from her under all of his evil. She knew she would have to learn.

"Therapy starts tomorrow," Lana whispered, glancing at him again. "Will you be there with me?"

"Of course, I'm going to be there," Elias promised, rubbing her arm. "Haven't I always been there for you?"

Lana nodded and leaned more into him. "Yeah, yeah you have."

OOOOOOOOOOOO

It's over, it's done…But it's too good to be true, right?...Where did he come from?...I need help…I need Elias…

OOOOOOOOOOO

Elias stood at the front of the crowd that had managed to squeeze into the hospital room. His eyes were hard, but tears shimmered in them. Stephen put his hand on his shoulder, a simple gesture of support. Yet, Elias took nothing from it.

Because everything he loved had been taken from him.

His eyes remained fixated on the bed, covered in stark white sheets. Lana was laying there, bruised and broken. Her eyes were closed and so many machines were hooked up to her, all meant to keep her alive.

He'd been too late to help her.

But he'd managed to catch the culprit in the act. The authorities had put him in a cell and promised to throw away the key. It just wasn't enough.

Don't worry, Lana. I'll see to it that he burns.

The heart monitor beeped a sad tune as if in answer…

OOOOOOOOOOOO

A/N: So that's that. I don't know what to make of this. It's just a dark story to me. And I have no clue why my brain created it. It just did. Leave a comment if you'd be so nice. Thank you and have a lovely evening. -Scarlet
