A New Future Awaits...
Kuoh Academy. One of the best prestigious schools over in Japan. At first, it was known as an all-girls private school, but it soon got changed into a co-ed school. Although there are more girls than boys, Kuoh Academy has some well-respected students in the academy.
"This is paradise! Look at those boobs!"
Well, I did say some. Outside three boys were looking at a hole that connects to the Girl's Kendo Club. Actually two of them were giggling and wiping away the small trails of blood from their noses while the third one was trying to find a way to see through the hole. Sadly, these three were known as the Perverted Trio. As you can tell, they can perform some no good acts to the female students in this academy.
"What are you guys doing?" The Perverted Trio froze simultaneously as they heard a voice behind them. Hoping that it wasn't one of the teachers that caught them, they slowly turned around and their eyes widen from who it was. It was the new transfer student and the enemy of all boys from what they like to call him. Sora Amaki. He is a tall, lean built young man with black eyes. The most distinguishing feature was his dark bluish-hair with some pink accents. It was shoulder-length at the nape of his neck. In the front, his bangs were slightly parted from his eyes. He had a stoic expression on his face in which he gives each day.
"Jeez Amaki-san, don't scare us like that," Matsuda sighed in relief.
"Yeah and for your information, we are viewing the treasure that we have found through this hole," Motohama whispered while adjusting his glasses.
"Oh really?"
"Yes, but they keep on hogging it and won't let me see!" Issei glared at his two friends. "Anyways, maybe when they are done, do you want to jo-", Issei was interrupted when he suddenly got hit in the face by Sora's knee. The hit made him fall to the ground unconscious while Motohama and Matsuda both stared in shock and horror.
"Issei-kun!" they cried out. They were both holding onto each other while they were shaken in fear. If Sora knocked Issei unconscious that quickly, then who knows what he would do to the last remaining members of the Perverted Trio.
"Now, I'm going to say this once..." his voice suddenly got colder as he was looking at them. "If I ever catch you guys doing this again... He won't be the only one that's going to sleep."
"AHHHH! WE'RE SORRY!" they yelled as they began to run away leaving a cloud of dust in the air.
'I swear it seems like they have never seen girls before,' Sora thought while scratching the back of his head. When the dust began to clear up, he realized that they had left their brown spiky-haired friend behind. He was still out cold and by the looks of it, could be out for a while. 'Some friends they are,' he thought. 'Well might as well take him to the nurse at least.'
"A-Amaki-kun," Sora turned around and saw some of the members from the Female Kendo Club. Each of the members had a shinai in their hands and from what Sora had guessed, they probably had heard the commotion outside of their changing room. He took notice that some of the members were blushing madly. "Thank you very much for taking care of them. We always catch them but they never seem to learn from their actions," the girl with long brown hair tied in a ponytail by a red ribbon said with a heartfelt smile as she and the rest of the girls bowed slightly at him.
"It's no problem Murayama. I just dislike those kinds of people. That's all," he sighed as he picked up the unconscious student up. "Anyways, I should probably take him to the Nurses' office right now. So, I will see you later."
"U-Um...Amaki-kun?" she called out making the teen stop and glance over his shoulders. She startled to fidget slightly as the others were wondering what was she going to say. "I was wondering if you want to do something over the weekend. I know you are still new here, so I was thinking that I could show you around. It can be like old times but just the two of us maybe," Murayama had her head down quickly so he wouldn't see her face being all red. Her heart won't stop beating fast as she waits for his answer.
"Sure Murayama," he answered making her jump. She looked up and saw that he was giving a small smile. "Although I still need to unpack some stuff this weekend, I will let you know when you can show me around this place. Is that alright?"
"S-Sure!" she replied with a smile of her own. All of the other kendo girls were shocked at the information they just heard. Sora nodded before he went on his way to take the spiky pervert to the Nurses' office.
Murayama still couldn't believe it. One of her childhood friends is now here in Kuoh. Even though it won't be right away, she can't wait for the day to catch up with him. Her best friend Katase came up to her, "Wow Murayama-chan do you really know Amaki-kun?"
She nodded her head with a smile. "Yes, I met him when we were just kids. I use to go to the same school as him before I moved here. His hair has gotten a bit longer from what I remember," she giggled. "Although something's different about him. I can't really put my finger on it."
"Maybe it's his lack of formality," Katase shrugged. "But then yet again, at least we have our very own knight shining armor. Also, since you two are just friends than that means that he is available!"
"Katase-chan!" Murayama cried out. "He just got here. I don't think he's going to go out with anyone right now," she shouted while her cheeks were showing red. 'Still, I hope we can bond like old times but hopefully this time...it can be something more."
It has been an interesting month for Sora Amaki. He still couldn't believe that he is now living on his own. Two weeks ago, when he came back to his house, he noticed that all of his family members were sitting down on the couch waiting for him. He was confused about why they were acting like that until they told him that he will be transferring schools and going to live in a new place. Sora wondered why until his mother had told him that they all have noticed a bit change in him ever since that night. They couldn't figure it out but they have noticed that he wasn't the same cheerful Sora that they all knew. Both emotionally and intentionally. He was going to respond but then he saw the look on his little sister's face. Her name was Myu and she was wearing a light pink short-sleeved jacket over a green plain shirt with a red belt and sneakers. Like her older brother, she also has blue hair but her hair was done up in two high ponytails on either side of her head with two shoulder-length bangs on both sides of her face. Sora saw the look in her eyes and knew that he couldn't win in this situation. He wanted to stay in Kanzakai but he realizes that this could be a new start for him somehow. Maybe he can make a new future for himself but no matter how many times he tried to forget about that night...or about her...
"I still can't forget about the past," Sora whispered as he was walking down near a fountain in a park. There wasn't anybody else around him but it didn't bother him that much. He rather enjoys this quietness since there was always something going on in Kanzakai. As he looked up in the sky, he realized that it was going to be night time soon.
"The past can hurt," a woman's voice spoke up. When Sora turned around, he saw a teenage girl that looked to be around his age standing before him. She was dressed in a school uniform that he didn't recognize. She had long black hair and violet eyes with a body that many would call perfect. "Oh, I'm sorry I couldn't help but think of why you were here at this park all alone," she giggled. "My name is Yuuma Amano. What's your name?"
Sora was about to answer until he felt a dark presence coming from her. He didn't know what it was but it doesn't seem to be like his or at least the group of people he knows back in Kanzakai. It's also not similar to the crimson-haired girl from Kuoh Academy. It was a lot darker than hers. He remained calm as he sees the girl narrow her eyes a bit. She looks over his shoulder and smiles. The chills he suddenly felt soon crawl up to his skin. Just thinking about who was this girl and what was she after.
"So, it seems that we have to talk another time then. Maybe next time, you will be more talkative. " she giggled as she turns around and walked away. Sora was left wondering why she didn't do anything until he remembers that someone was watching them nearby.
'Is that why she didn't try anything?' he wonders as he tried to look at the direction that this energy was at. He had sensed someone when Yuuma tried to interact with him. Although this wasn't similar to Yuumas. It did however felt like the ones he knows in Kuoh Academy. 'Just what the hell is going on in this town?'
"Sora-kun...wake up Sora-kun...Sora-kun...wake up..wake up."
The class bell rang as Sora slowly opened up his eyes. It was the end of the school day and most of the students had already left. Sora looked up and saw the brown spiky-haired kid from a few days ago coming towards him. "You're finally awake. I was wondering if you were going to sleep here the whole day Amaki-san."
"Yeah. I had a long night," he looks at him curiously. "Who are you?"
"What?! It's almost been a week since you transfer here and you don't remember my name!" Issei asked in disbelief.
"Not really, should I?"
"Yes! My name is Issei Hyoudou! You should already know this because we have introduced ourselves before. Especially since you live right next door!" he yelled out. "You were also the one that knocked me out two days," Issei whisper.
"Oh really?" Sora said as he gathers up his things. "Anyways why are you still doing here? I mean shouldn't you be with your friends or so?"
"Sort of but, I was wondering if I can have some advice," Issei asked in which cause Sora to raise an eyebrow. What kind of advice does one of the members of the Perverted Trio want? "Yesterday while I was walking home, I met this girl and she asked me to go out with her." This caught Sora by surprise but continue to listen to what Issei had to say. "I was wondering if you have any advice on being in a relationship."
"Advice?" Sora questioned. "Well, I haven't had that much success with relationships bu-"
"What?! Are you serious?!" Issei interrupted and shouted right on his face. "Oh great, I'm screwed."
"As I was saying.." Sora pushed Issei off with no effort. "I have only been to one date and it was...eventful to say the least," Issei didn't notice that one of Sora's hand started to twitch as Sora had a small flashback of that night. He quickly shook it off. "Anyway all I can say is that you shouldn't be that nervous about it. Just treat her right and you will be fine. Just make sure that you don't buy her something expensive on the first date."
"Alright, I think I can do that," Issei replied when a sudden realization came in. "Oh! I haven't told you her name, have I? Well her name is Yu-"
"That's alright. You can introduce me to her some time Hyoudou," Sora interrupted with his hand up. Sora was going to be on his way when something came through his mind. "Listen Hyoudou, you do know some of the third years in this academy, right?"
"Well, not formally but I guess some yes. Why?"
"What do you know about this one third-year student that goes here. She has crimson hair and blue eyes. I believe everyone is drawn to her for some reason," Sora explained to Issei.
"Crimson hair? Wait you mean Rias Gremory-senpai?"
"Is that her name?" Sora asked in which Issei nodded in response. "What can you tell me about her?"
"Well she is a third-year student and I have heard some people say that she is from Northern Europe. She came here due to her father's work," Issei explained while Sora kept on listening and trying to get an idea on who Rias Gremory is. "She is also known as one of the Great Ladies in this academy."
'Great Ladies? Who came up with that name?' Sora curiously thought. "Is that all?"
"Pretty much. Wait don't tell me you got the hots for her!" Issei got on his face again and shouted.
"Calm down alright?" Sora pushed him again. "Try getting your mind out of the gutter once in a while. I just wanted to know who she was and what's the big deal about her."
"Good because I'm going to be the harem king someday and hopefully, she could be in it," Issei declared while Sora was confused by the statement.
"Well anyway, good luck with your relationship Hyoudou," Sora grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulder. He waved goodbye as he spoke once again. "Also, you can just call me Sora. I'm not into the whole formality thing," Sora said as he walked out of the classroom.
"Oh ok. See you later Sora," Issei said as he waved goodbye. Wondering what time it was, he took a look at his phone and panic when he saw the time. "Shit, I'm supposed to meet up with Yuuma-chan already." Issei gathers his things and ran out of the building.
As Sora began walking outside, his mind was still thinking about what had happened a few days ago. He had never encountered something this mysterious before. Especially the energy he felt from the girl named Yuuma. 'What was she and what was she after?' he wonders.
Suddenly Sora stopped in front of an old abandoned schoolhouse. It was a long two-story building. He had heard from Murayama that the building was still in use and that some club was using it. He didn't get the name or know who was in the club since it didn't peak his interest. He was about to continue walking until he caught a glimpse of red in one of the windows. He looked up and saw that it was none other than the crimson-haired girl herself. "Just who are you exactly Rias Gremory?" he curiously wonders while looking at her. From what he senses, he can tell that she is no human. Her presence had set him on edge ever since the first day he came into this academy. What was more interesting is that she wasn't the only one that he sensed. There are some others that he felt in this academy and he believed that one of them was watching him when he met Yuuma. Breaking the staring confrontation, he eventually waved her goodbye in which shocked her a bit. "She doesn't seem like she could be dangerous since she shows no signs of a threat but I got to keep my guard up still," he said to himself as he turned around and started walking the other way to exit the academy. 'I wonder if she knows about Yuuma.'
For Rias, she had been curious as well. The power that was coming from him had interested her. Although, he doesn't appear to be a devil, fallen angel, or angel. What was most surprising to her was when he met a fallen angel. According to Koneko, it seemed like he didn't know her at first but something changed. Something told him that she was dangerous. She also said that she had a feeling that he knew that she was there. Could he also have sacred gear perhaps? "That could be the only answer," she said to herself.
"What could be the only answer Buchou?" a voice came right next to her. It belonged to a young woman. Much like Rias, she had a buxom figure as well, but she had very long black hair and violet eyes. Her hair was tied to a ponytail in which was reaching down to her legs with two strands sticking out from the top and sloping backward.
"That new transfer student," she answered while still looking through the window. "He was here at the front a minute ago. The power I felt from him was strong Akeno. I'm sure you can feel it too right?" Rias questioned.
"Ara ara, do you have your eyes set on the newest transfer student?" Akeno asked with a teasing tone. "I can't blame you though. For a second year, he does look like a catch," Akeno giggled while Rias just rolled her eyes.
"I'm serious Akeno. He could be a great addition to us," she sighed as she looks at her Queen. "Have you gotten his file from Sona?"
"Yes Buchou," Akeno replied as she opened up the file that she got from the Student Council President. "It says here that his name is Sora Amaki. He's a second-year transfer student from Kanzakai High School."
'Kanzakai? Now why does that sound familiar?' she wondered. "Anything else?"
Akeno shook her head, "No Buchou. All it shows are his previous grades from the schools that he went to. Do you really think that he has a sacred gear too?"
"I'm not too sure at the moment since we have no idea about who he really is. We shouldn't do anything just yet," Rias ordered. "Speaking of watching, what about the other second year?"
"It seems like the fallen angel Raynare has made contact with him already. Koneko-chan is going to be here soon to give us more details about it," Akeno explained.
"I'm very sure she will attack at any time but when she does...I will use him as my underling," Rias stated. "Let's just wait for Koneko to come back then," Rias closed her eyes as a thought came to her mind. 'And when we finally know who Sora Amaki is then maybe he could join my peerage.'
It was late at night in Sora's bedroom. He kept tossing side to side on his bed. His body was shaking as he kept on dreaming about that night. The night where his future would eventually change forever. He was at an alleyway as he watches his past self walking home with a girl. This girl had long black hair and a pretty face with blue eyes. She was wearing a white sweater with a blue shirt and blue jeans. She also wore a belt that had a heart belt buckle. Both of them were just talking as she leans her head on his shoulders. His past self blushed but compose himself.
"No please don't!" he said out loud in his sleep, clutching his head. From what he sees coming behind them was a dark shadow of a creature. "Watch out!" he cried out but the two couldn't hear him. This creature was called a void and unfortunately for the two, these voids are invisible to normal beings. "Don't hurt her," he shouted as he started to run towards the creature. "Don't you dare hurt her!" he jumped towards the creature but as soon as he got close to it, he woke up. He shot up with a jolt and sat up straight. He was shaking uncontrollably as some sweat was coming down. His eyes widened as he held one of his hands over his heart. He felt it pounding hard in his chest. He was taking deep breaths as he tried to calm himself. No matter how many times he relived that nightmare, it still haunts him every night. He looked at the clock that was hanging on the wall, there was still quite some time before the sun will be up. Sora began to lay down but didn't bother about going back to sleep.
"What do you mean that you guys don't remember Yuuma-chan?" Issei asked in disbelief. Issei was not having a good day so far. He remembered that he was out on a date with his girlfriend Yuuma. He remembers it clearly since it ended up with him getting stabbed in the chest with a spear by her. What was more confusing to him was that when he woke up, he felt fine with no injuries at all. Although he did felt something weird inside him.
"Like we have said many times. We don't know who you are talking about right Motohama-kun? Matsuda replied.
"Yeah, you never introduce us to a girl named Yuuma-chan. I would have definitely remembered it. Are you sure you are feeling alright Issei-kun?"
"Look I have her number on my phone. Let me just bring it out and show..." As Issei looked through his contacts his eyes widened as her name didn't appear. 'She isn't there...could it just be a dream then," he wondered. Then he saw Sora coming into the classroom and an idea came into his head. "There's Sora, I'm sure he remembers who I'm talking about."
"Hold a minute!" Matsuda shouted while pointing a finger directly at Issei. "Since when have you two been friends?! You can't be friends with the enemy!"
"And you are calling him by his first name also!? You betrayed us!" Motohama added with the same emotion.
"What are you guys talking about?!" Issei yelled out.
"We are talking about that he is the enemy and you befriended him," Matsuda yelled with tears streaming down from his eyes. "Are we not good enough huh? We promised that all of us would get girlfriends at the same time!"
"Would you two quiet down alright? He's actually pretty cool," he said. Issei took a looked at Sora and saw that he was staring directly at him. 'Does he remember when I asked him about Yuuma-chan?' he wondered. "AGH, Nevermind! Tonight! Let's have an AV marathon! Prepare the tissues!" Issei proudly cheered.
"Alright", his two friends cheered as the rest of the students in the class were disgusted by this. The only one that wasn't disgusted or at least wasn't paying attention was the blue-haired transfer student. As soon as Sora came into class, he felt unknown dark energy coming from the room. Although this one was far weaker than the rest that he has sense. Sora quirked an eyebrow in confusion as he started to go to his seat. This energy he senses was coming towards Issei for some reason. He clearly remembered talking to Issei recently and even then, he hadn't sensed any power from him at all. Why now?
"What's going on? I can sense his energy but why?" Sora wondered with many thoughts in his head. "This power I can't describe it but...it sorta has the energy as..."
"KYA! It's Rias-senpai!" one of the classmates shouted and pointed through the window. As Sora looked through the window, he saw her once again. While most of the male and female students were fascinating over her, Sora just stared at her as he wondered about who she is and how she could be connected to Issei. Just then Rias took a glance and gave him a small smile causing Sora to raise an eyebrow.
'What have I gotten myself into?' Sora thought as then the homeroom teacher came in and told the students to get in their seats. Although the class was starting, Sora had many thoughts in his head. He has a feeling that something bad will happen soon for either him or Issei. 'What could this mean?'
Soon the school day came to an end, and the students in the academy were leaving. At least for two students, they were very excited for what's about to come. "Finally class is over! Time for our AV marathon!" Matsuda cheered with his fist up in the air.
"Yea you said it," Issei replied with a short of a smile. With all that's been happening with him today, he was hoping that this would take his mind off it.
"Hyoudou," Issei turned around and saw it was Sora calling him. He was uncertain why until Sora came up and whispered something to him. "I don't know what's going on with you but you feel a bit more different than before. Just be careful alright?" Sora said in which shocked him. When Issei nodded, Sora just turned around and began to walk away. Leaving a speechless Issei still standing and looking at his direction.
"Can you believe that guy?" Matsuda said in disgust. "Thinks he's very cool because of the way he talks, and acts. Think he could take away all the girls from us."
"You said it. Matsuda-kun. We will show him that we will get all the girls," Motohama declared.
While Matsuda and Motohama were continuing talking to each other, Issei continued to stare at the direction where Sora had left. 'More different? What did he mean by that?' Issei wondered curiously.
As nighttime came, Issei had just left his friend's house. Even though they were having a porno marathon, Issei couldn't help but feel a bit distracted. Normally he would have enjoyed it but he couldn't stop thinking about how that date with Yuuma felt real. Also, from what Sora had said a few hours ago. While he was walking home, he felt something inside of him again. He didn't know what it was but now his vision has become much clearer than ever before than during the daytime. He also took notice that he can hear people talking from a distance where it was impossible to hear. Many thoughts were inside of his mind wondering what was happening to him. He snapped out of it when he was near the park. The park in which it all happened. He walked towards the fountain and flashbacks of Yuuma started to flood through his mind. He clenched his fists as he couldn't accept that those memories were just a dream. He knows that he was on a date with her. Then he felt a strange feeling coming towards him.
"How unfortunate."
Issei froze at the voice behind him. As he turned around, he saw a middle-aged man with short black hair and dark blue eyes walking towards him. The man was wearing a pale gray trench coat over a white dressy shirt with black pants, and shoes and a black fedora. "To actually see someone like you in a place like this. Today has got to be my lucky day."
Issei didn't hear what the man had just said as he was more focusing on why he couldn't stop trembling. He felt some cold sweat on his forehead as he watched this stranger come close to him. He kept on wondering why this man is talking to him. Issei began to turn around and started to run from this stranger.
"Are you really trying to run away now?" The man taunted.
Issei's eyes widened as he saw black feathers coming down. He had seen those same feathers before. 'Those wings are...the same as Yuuma-chan's.'
"Tell me are you a stray or do you have a master?" the man asked. Issei was confused on what he meant by that. He didn't know what this man was talking about.
"Hmmm...how pitful. I can't detect any traces of your master or allies around you. So that must mean that you are a stray. Killing you should be no problem then," The man grinned deadly as he held out his hand and a bright light started to emit from it, and a spear of light appeared in his hand. Issei couldn't believe what he was seeing, he tried to run again but suddenly he gasped in pain as the spear was thrown right in his gut. His legs were getting very wobbly as the pain was coming down hard on him. Despite coughing out blood, he tried to pull the light spear out, but it was no use since he felt more pain surge through him as his hands were burned by the light.
"You can't put it out right?" The man mocked as he came up in front of him. "You should know that this light is like a deadly poison to your kind." Issei gasped as he felt the spear disappeared from his stomach, but it appeared onto the man's hand again. "Such a shame. It seems like I missed your vital organs but don't worry...I will put you out of your misery!"
The man then threw his spear again as Issei closes his eyes as he waits for the impact.
'Just be careful alright,"
'Sorry, Sora...'
Just before the second spear got a chance to hit him, someone appeared in front of him and destroyed the spear with his armored gloves. Issei slowly opens up his eyes and saw the backside of this person. He was wearing a blue sleeveless hoodie, some black pants with some blue armor greaves, and blue shoes. Both of his hands were covered up with blue and green armored gloves that extend to his elbows. What was the most surprising to Issei was this person's hair. He couldn't think of anybody else that had dark blueish hair with pink accents.
"I was right, something has happened to you Hyoudou," he spoke with a familiar tone in which Issei had heard before.
"Who the hell are you!?" the man yelled out.
"S-Sora!" Issei cried out.
Sora was staring at the man who attacked his classmate. He replied with a glare of his own as he pointed directly at him, "My name is Sora Amaki." Soon one of his eyes started to change from black to dark red. There were some sparks of electricity that was coming out of his armored gloves as well as he stares down the one who attacked Issei. "I'm an In-Birth."
